Work continously

Work is essential for all worldly and spiritual attainment. Without effort, nothing is gained. Laziness is a form of hiding, pretending to meditate to avoid duty. True practice requires active work on body, speech, mind, and behavior. Speak words that bring peace to yourself and others. This harmonizes your energy and purifies your inner tendencies. Without personal effort, one only envies others and loses what little they have. Through dedicated work, one achieves dharma, artha, kāma, and mokṣa. Your work itself is the highest worship.

"Without work, nothing is attained in this world."

"The name of God is work itself. Your work is worship."

Om Namaḥ Śrī Pradīpa Nārāyaṇa. Om Namaḥ Śrī Pradīpa. Haṁsabhādas Prabhusar Parāyaṇam. Om Namaḥ Śrī Pradīpa Nārāyaṇa. Haṁsabhādas Prabhusar Parāyaṇam... Om Namaḥ Śrī Pradīpa Nārāyaṇa. There is a beautiful bhajan. Bhajan also means the practice of mantra, like an anuṣṭhāna. A bhajan or a dohā is a poem. A bhajan is that which contains more knowledge and explanation, where there is a question and an answer. Dohā means two: question and answer. So, mostly all the poems we have contain a question and an answer. The great saint Tulsīdāsjī said: Āv nahī̃, ādar nahī̃, aur nahī̃ nainan meṁ nahī̃. "Āv nahī̃" means not welcome. "Ādar nahī̃" means no respect. "Nainan mein nahi" means there is no sympathy in your eyes. Yes, not welcome. Okay, come. But when there is love, there is respect. Come, but there is no love, no respect, and nothing in the eyes. In your eyes, there is no harmony, no welcoming. So here is a question, and here is the explanation. Then what should we do? What should we do? Tulsī Dāsjī said, "Tulsī, us ghar na jāye." Tulsī Dāsjī said, "Don’t go to that house or to that place, even if gold is raining there, even if diamonds and gold are falling like rain. They have no value." Then Tulsīdāsjī, a great saint and poet who also wrote the holy Rāmāyaṇa, gives the next answer: "Where there is welcoming, there is respect, and there is harmony in your eyes, in your look." Tulsi Dāsjī said, "Go to that house." Even if stones are falling there, it doesn’t matter; don’t be worried. You are welcomed with such love, harmony, and happiness—that’s it. Similarly, there are some people who are lazy. Some people are only sitting and meditating and repeating mantra. Some are what we call kaamchor. Kyā kehte hain? Kaamchor. A kaamchor is one who tries to escape work, and when somebody is coming, you close your eyes and say, "I am still meditating," because that is laziness. Therefore, one senses it very nicely: Puruṣārtha bina nahīṁ hove duniya. Puruṣārtha bina nahīṁ hove duniya meṁ cīja koī. Puruṣa... There are some energies which are not like that, you know; that’s called obstacles. Purushārtha means work. Abhyāsa. Abhyāsa. Work. Work.... O Kāntī's son Arjun, abhyās karo, abhyās karo, kām karo, kām karo. Being lazy, don’t hide yourself. Being lazy, don’t just feel and sleep. When you are lazy or something, your vṛttis are not in order. Then what you are doing is hiding yourself. There are vikṣepa: physical vikṣepa, emotional vikṣepa, mental vikṣepa, intellectual vikṣepa, social vikṣepa, etc., etc. So you have to give up all kinds of laziness and work, work, work. Work on your body, work on your study, work on your behavior, work on your words. Control your words. Bani aisi boliye, man kā āpā khoye, āpan ko śītal kare, man ko śītal khoye. Bani aisi boliye, man kā āpā khoye. Speak such a word that it makes everyone happy. You are relaxed. You feel safe. You are happy. Man bānī aisī bolī, man kā apak hoy. Āraṁ ko śītal kare. It makes others happy. Kām aur khud ko bhī śītal ho. That you are also happy. At that time, your energy is increasing. At that time, your memory is getting better. At that time, your brain activities become harmonized. It means that is the best technique for getting the release of mental tension. Mental tension can lead to schizophrenia. It can bring many, many other diseases: stress. That tension is stress. The stress is there where the heart is like a stone, not like a button. Gurujī has written one nice prayer in Līlāmṛt: "So, please make my heart soft like a button." So sometimes the heart can become cruel. Cruel, cruel means—you know what cruel means? The person who is without mercy, who is ready to torture anyone, that’s the heart of this. In this world, you will not get anything without work. Physical, mental, intellectual, spiritual, social, etc., etc., work, work, work. Bhagavān Kṛṣṇa said, "Karma karne se tumhārā yoga sādhanā saphal hogī." And Holy Gurujī said, "Through the fire of that yoga, all the seeds of our karmas will be burned." That’s how to become free from karma. Puruṣārtha, work, work, work. No one will get anything without the work to achieve that dharma, earth, wealth, good karma, good activities, positive thinking. To get liberation, to become a sitter, meditation only, and do not work, that’s laziness. Work, work. On the day when you become lazy, your knowledge will go down. You will become more tāmasik, rājasik. You will sleep, then other vṛttis will come. Therefore, be active, active, active: dharma, artha, kāma, and mokṣa. Mokṣa, mokṣa. Purushārtha karne se hoī: dharma, artha, kāma, and mokṣa. Purushāratha karne se hoī. Sādhanā karne se, kāma karne se, karmayoga karne se, sādhanā aur inner vṛtti is to purify. Purushārthī puruṣ ko durlabhna cīj koī. Who is very active, very good, working all the time? For that person, nothing is impossible. He will get everything. Purushārthī puruṣ ko durlabhna cīj koī. Work, work, you will get everything, but... It is available to that person very easily. That one, whatever he or she desires, okay? Don’t say always, "He, he, he." Who is he? He is also she. Not she, but me. Not me, but you. And that we are all in that you. Okay? So, YouTube. So, puruṣārthī puruṣ ko durlabh na chīj, sulabh hai sab kus ichā kare soi. So, who is working, who is active? God gives everything. God said, "I gave you everything. You have two hands, you have two legs, you have two ears, you have two eyes, a good nose, a good brain. I gave you everything, oh man." How can you say, "I am poor, I am nothing"? That is because you are not a puruṣārthī; you are lazy. You will get it. You will get it. You will get everything. Pursharat heena jo pānī, Pursharat heena jo prāṇī, Har cīz dekh kar roī. Pursharat heena prāṇī, har cīz dekh kar roī. Ami māre gharāy paḍhose re, color TV āge. See, sir, they will get a car in their house. See, son, they have made two verandas in the house. They don’t do anything on their own. Puruṣārtha-hīna prāṇī. Har cheez dekh kar roi. What does it mean? Sir, there is everything else, but I am sad. Why? Because my neighbor is happy, I am unhappy and I am very sad. Why? Because my neighbor is so happy. I am jealous of this. Look, he caught that good car. Look, he made this, that, and that. But you have nothing. Why not? Others are working. You are not working properly. And even a little money. What is he saying? Before that, puruṣārtha bina prāṇī. Har cheez dekh kar royī. Usko mile nahīṅ kush bhī. Us ko kuch bhi nahī milegā, agar milegā to bhī dega khoyā. If he gets something by mistake, that will also get lost. There was one real story. There is one village called Magtalav, it is very near. And near Magtalav, there was a little house, so there was one Baniya set. Every businessman, so he, his wife, had a lot of gold and this and that and blim-blam-blim, do all. And he had also a very good chain, and at home he had money and everything. One night, two thieves came at midnight, and they came, and the both their... The husband, the merchant, and his wife came, and they caught them with a knife and a stick. "Don’t talk." Now what can you do? They both, husband and wife, are very, very fearful. They said, "Give everything, whatever you have," so all gold and everything. They said, "No, no, not all still. Now give." Then what did they do? They tied her husband and his wife with the rope and kerosene. Kerosene on her body, and then also kerosene on him. Matchstick. "There is treasure under the earth in that corner. Everything, take it out," and they run away. Next, they were sad. What happened? But what can they do? After four years... They see again, see, have gold here and there, and happy and everything. Again, they have a good feeling when they should go. Here, Lakṣmaṇjī is sleeping, everybody is sleeping, and they came and they took everything away from here. And the police, our police, they threw it. SP Sahab, na baat kari meri ki humare record mein toh kahī hai hī nahī. Kya, chalo yeh baat kāne alag chaltī hai. They caught him and took him ahead, at night once again, and gave a beating with force. They were with the bamboo. They brought the bamboo stick, green bamboo. And they were beating and giving this and that. They said, "Please take it, please all take it." But they said no. "We have petrol again, kerosene," but now it’s petrol. So again, they tried to take everything that was in their house. The third time, they again came; again they took the gold, they stole many things, and this and that. Manya, every day, he was bringing, taking with him on his shoulder, something. Or on the horse, going village to village, selling some little things and getting money. And this fourth time, the same thieves again came after four, five years. Again, this time they became a little old, and they said, "Please, our bones are... Broken we are. Please don’t do to us whatever you want to take," they said. No, say it’s up, they say. They said, "Sir, we are not coming today to take and steal from you anything." "Then why you came?" "Because we want to know how you are doing, every... Time after one year, two years, your wife has again gold here and gold there, and this and that, and you and my wife have not even one gold ring. Nothing remains with us. How is it going? Our all, but we stole from you? We don’t know how it disappears." He said, "We are working hard." And you are not working, so that’s what: those who are active, working, they will have everything, and who doesn’t do, will do the bad karmas, it will go away. Whatever he will get, he will lose everything. Therefore, dharma, artha, kāma, and mokṣa, puruṣārtha karne se hoī. So, kaam karega, achchā kaam karega, kaam chor nahīṁ hogā. That will be the wealthy, healthy, happy, and blessed one. One will get liberation. Jo hain dev ke bharose, jo hain dev ke bharose, mūrak janam hai khoī. Jo hai dev ke bharose, mūrak janam aise hī khoī. Dev wo hotā hai, acchā karam karke dev svarg mein chalā gayā. Svarg kā karam pūrā karne ke bāḍ, kyā tā hai ki Prabhu vapas hame manuṣya kā janam. Dena hum acchā karam kareṅgī, dharam kareṅgī, lekin dev jo patthar kus nahī̃ de pāyegā. Jo hai dev ke bharose baiṭhā raho, gaṇṭī bajā bhakro, manāhaṅg, bhagvānahāṅg, devokarī, bhopājī āyegā, gaṇī bhopājī, gaṇā ṭhokājī, unkā bhī hojā hai. So, jo hai dev ke bharose, jo hai dev ke bharose, mūrak janam khoi, you will get lost. And viśvās, black, black believe. Dev nām hai puruṣārth kā. Bhagavān kaun hai? Pūrṣarat. Dev, who is the Dev? Pūrṣarat. The yogīśvara, the whole day they are making, working, working, they have a beautiful statue. And if the whole day they are just sitting and playing cards or drinking and this and that, nothing, nothing got. The God, the Deva is your work. Your work is worship. Therefore, say, "O Lord, my work is thy worship." Main kaam kar raha hoon, Bhagavān. Lord, I am working as the worship for you. Dev nām hai puruṣārat kā, karne se siddh hoī. Therefore, jo kaam kar karega, achchā karega, usī ko milegā, dūsron ko kuch nahī̃ milegā. What he said again? Purusha ka lakshan, Purusha ka lakshan, isme change kya hai? Haa, ulṭhā kar diyā. Puruṣārth ka lakshan galat lagāyā huā hai. Puruṣa kā nām, Puruṣa kā nām, Puruṣārth. Ādmī, Puruṣa kā nām, Puruṣārth. Because that bhajan which the mahātma wrote in that book, Gurujī always used to sing, and he changed it. So in this, there is some mistake. Puruṣārtha kā nāma puruṣa. Śruti śānt kaisai hoī? Śruti bhe kaitī hai, śānt bhe kaitī hai, kī jo puruṣārth kartā hai, vohī puruṣārth hai. Vohī unkā lakṣya bhī hai. Achal Rama Uḍhiyog bina, nar nārī na vo doī. Achal Rama Jī Mahārāj were in Jodhpur. He said, "Achal Rama Uḍhiyog bina." Achal Rama Jī said, "Without work, without creativity, na nar na nārī—neither man nor woman. It is just, you look like a human, but you are not." Pursharat binaan paave duniyaan mein cheezh koi. Śrīdīp Nārāyaṇ Bhagavān kī Devajī Dev, Deveśvara Mahādeva kī. Therefore, it is said, "Pursharat, Pursharat, o kaunte Pursharat. Abhyāsyā, Abhyāsyā, o kaunte Abhyāsyā." Siddhip Nārāyaṇ Bhagavān, Achal Rāmjī Mahārāj, Satguru Svāmī Mādhāvanandjī Bhagavān, Dev Purīṣa Mahādev. Alak Puruṣī Mahādev Om Śānti Śānti.
