Meditation from Alexandria

Your soul is a journey into infinite, pure consciousness. Imagine a point of light in endless space. Your soul is that eternal light and sound, free from the mortal world. You are the entire universe, with no obstacles or directions; all is yourself. This light moves in a cycle from the navel to the head and back, a beginning and end unknown. Dwell in this endless space as pure awareness, above all stars. Your life originates from the navel, which is the center of the universe. Feel every cell melt into the oneness of existence. You are not the body, prāṇa, or mind; you are immortal peace. All creation emerges from and merges back into Om. Bring your divine light into this world.

"Your ātmā, your soul, is pure and clean—only as light and sound, light and sound, endless."

"I am not this body. I am not the prāṇa, nor am I the mind. I am eternal, immortal peace and light."

Go ahead into the endlessness of the universe. Imagine a tiny point of light, like a star or a candle flame in the dark blue space. From that, in one word, a butterfly is emerging. Observe the involvement of its wings. Similarly, thy soul is coming out of the burden of this mortal world. Your ātmā, your soul, is pure and clean—only as light and sound, light and sound, endless. You are the whole universe, and thyself is that eternal, immortal light of your ātmā. There are no obstacles. Go ahead. That light of your soul has no east or west, north or south. You are the center of it. Above and below, left and right, front and beyond—all is thyself. The resonance from the top to the bottom signifies a beginning. This is a cycle. We do not know where the beginning is and where the end is. Light moves from the navel to the śāstra cakra, the top of the head, and from the top of the head back to the navel. Now, from the navel to the top of the head, and then be silent. Keep your imagination or vision in endless space. Know any objects only as thy pure consciousness—the pure light, a tiny flame, very clean, pure, thyself. You do not know if it is in one place, steady, or moving at high speed. All is yourself. Your Jīvātmā is dwelling in this endless space, Brahman, universe. Try to raise your awareness with your consciousness, knowing you are above this world. All the moons and suns and stars are beyond you. You are that Ātmā, the soul of the entire space. We do not know where the beginning is and where the end is. You are everlasting, thyself in one and one in all. With that, again begin from your navel to proceed further, awakening all the energies and qualities in their purity, merging or melting into that cosmic Self. From the beginning, our life originates from the navel, which came from the center of the universe. From the navel to the center of the endless universe, you are the center of thyself, as the whole universe is the navel. Go ahead with the resonating of the Aum. Imagine thyself free from the five kośas, the five elements, all five prāṇas and five apānas; all these melt into that one pure consciousness. Be aware of thyself as the immortal light, in peace, harmony, and unity in oneness. Go ahead. Chest, feet. Each and every cell of the body is melting into the endless universe. Each and every cell of the self or the body melts into the universe, becoming completely one with it. I am, I am, like waves that arise on the ocean and merge again into the ocean. From where do the waves come, and how do they merge again? Similarly, our self comes, fluttering in the endless universe, and merges into oneness, peace, and harmony—Om Śānti, eternal peace and light, eternal peace and light. Who am I? I am not this body. I am not the prāṇa, nor am I the mind. I am eternal, immortal peace and light. Neither am I born, nor will I die. All is just a glimpse of a dream. I am that supreme, one in all and all in one, Swayambhū, Śiva, Sarjanhāra, Visarjanhāra. It is all my creation, all is merging into me, that Oṁ. Everything is the māyā of the Oṁ. As our beloved Gurudev Swami Mādhavānandajī said, all this creation is from the Om. Om has no light and no shadow. I am that everlasting, immortal. Our body is like snow falling on the ground, on the earth, and melting. And flowing further, the waves begin in the ocean and merge into the ocean. I am the ocean. I am the space. I am. Am I? So ’ham. So ’ham. So let thy consciousness, let that... Beautiful, this beautiful, the divine of this body, with this soul, everything comes back with it. Like a mother bee flies and all other bees fly with her; where the mother bee will sit, all will come. Similarly, you are that soul coming into this world with all the tattvas, energies, prāṇas, everything. Feel your body. See your body as purity. Your body, your thoughts, your feelings, all are pure, divine. I bring the light into this world. Multiply from myself. Feel your body descending your light into this world again. Three times, Om. Fold your hands and repeat after me: Sarveṣāṁ śāntir bhavatu, sarveṣāṁ maṅgalam bhavatu, sarveṣāṁ pūrṇam bhavatu. Oṁ Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinaḥ, Sarve Santu Nirāmayāḥ, Sarve Bhadrāṇi Paśyantu, Mā Kaścid Duḥkha Bhāg Bhavet. Oṁ Śāntiḥ Śāntiḥ Śāntiḥ. Fold and rub your palms. Place your palms on your face and gently massage your facial muscles. Open your eyes and slowly, gently bend forward as far as you can. Touch your ground and feel the energy of the earth, and the flow of the blood circulation towards the brain and all the five jñānendriyas. The flowing of the blood more towards your eyes, ears, nose, mouth, throat, and whole skin—all jñānendriyas. You may repeat your mantra or the saṅkalpa, your wish, what you have, and slowly place your palms on the ground. With the help of your hands, slowly raise your head up and sit up. Hari Om. So, further about the creation of the soul through the Swayambhu. Eko’haṁ Bahu Syāmi—I am one, now I will multiply. And the day will come when Viṣṇu and Brahmā cannot master anymore. Then it is Śiva who will again inhale. So, the exhale is the creation, the inhale is again withdrawing between the Ātmā and Śiva. Prāṇa is going and prāṇa is coming, expanding and again contracting. We will continue the next program. Wish you all the best and the blessings of Gurudev. Satguru Swāmījī Madhavānandajī Bhagavān, Satya Sanātana Dharma, Holī, Bhārata Mātā Kī Jaya.
