Yoga in the park

The human body contains a divine blueprint of energy centers known as chakras. The man-made world is imperfect, but the God-made world, like nature and the bees essential to it, is perfect. The major chakras align along the spine, representing the transition from animal to human qualities and connecting to consciousness. The Mūlādhāra Cakra represents our roots. The Maṇipūra Cakra at the navel is the center of the universe, connected to the sun's light, which can cure diseases. The Anāhata Cakra is limitless resonance. The Viśuddhi Cakra in the throat is where swallowed emotions and poisons create disease. The Ājñā Cakra is the bridge between human and divine, its two petals containing the mantras 'Ha' and 'Tha', forming Haṭha Yoga as a balance. These six chakras have 52 petals, resonances within the body corresponding to the alphabet. The Bindu Cakra at the crown is the source of nectar. Achieving the highest consciousness leads to the Sahasrāra Cakra and liberation. The sound Oṁ is the resonance connecting all worlds, the very sound of the sun, and is the nature of human physical, mental, and subtle bodies. Acting in harmony with this divine nature brings happiness.

"If you want to know what God is, then understand the resonance."

"Haṭha Yoga is not just physical things, but it’s a balance between our human weakness and our consciousness."

Oṁ sayoktaṁ nityadayanti yoginaḥ, kāndaṁ mokṣa daṁce, oṁ kāraye namo namaḥ. Sarve bhavantu sukhinaḥ, sarve santu nirāmayāḥ, sarve bhadrāṇi paśyantu, mā kaścid duḥkha bhāg bhavet. Oṁ śāntiḥ, śāntiḥ, śāntirbhavatu. Salutations to the Cosmic Light. Lord of our hearts, omniscient and omnipresent. In the presence of the Cosmic Self, dear sisters and brothers, His Excellency the Ambassador of India, the respected Mayor of this city, the respected people who are taking care of this beautiful park, and all sisters and brothers who are here present. The man-made world is not perfect. But the God-made world is perfect. We are standing here in this city, and I observe from Maribor to here, the landscape, vegetation, culture—it’s beautiful. God has given such a beautiful [land to] the Slovenians. As His Excellency reminds us, today is the International Day of the Bee. On my birthday, every birthday, I announce something. Five years ago, I said we shall save the bees. And our practitioners of yoga, and yoga in their life, they brought this into reality, so that the United Nations has declared the Day of the Bees. But we see, and you may feel also, this year the bees are already getting fewer and fewer. In all of Europe, about 65% of bees have disappeared. As well as in India, too. If there are no bees, our beautiful fruits and berries we will see only in pictures. But this park, it is a park where the bees are enjoying, and all different birds and different creatures are enjoying here. It’s a heaven for them. I admire it. And I thank those who are taking care of the park. My dear brothers and sisters, these symbols here are of the very ancient, as His Excellency said. And this is the spine of the human. This is the hidden divine energy in the human. These chakras, which are here, are located along the human body. There are many chakras, but the major chakras are these eight here, which we see. The Mūlādhāra Cakra—mūla is the roots. These big, strong trees are here, but they are standing on the roots. The Mūlādhāra Cakra from the bottom is representing the transition between animal and human qualities. The Svādhiṣṭhāna Cakra is the emotion of the humans. The Maṇipūra Cakra is the center of the universe. The sun is directly connecting to our Maṇipūra Cakra, which means our navel—what we call the solar plexus. And solar is the light of the sun. What we have now, we call solar panels to gain the light in our body. And the roots, the center and beginning of our life, is the Maṇipūra Cakra at the center of the middle. Many diseases can be cured through this light from the sun. Coming to the next center, the Anāhata Cakra. Anāhata means limitless, beyond all borders. It is said the resonance is the highest, the supreme. If you want to know what God is, then understand the resonance. Coming to the throat chakra, the Viśuddhi Cakra. "Viṣa" is the poison. Viśuddhi Cakra is where we humans swallow all our problems, our emotions. Many, many diseases begin from there. Also, it is said in Satyayuga, during the churning of the ocean searching for the nectar, the first thing that came was poison, and that poison would have destroyed the whole world. It is Śiva who took that poison and he swallowed it. If that poison would have gone till the Maṇipūra Cakra, maybe Śiva also would not exist. But with the power of yoga, the power of the Kriyā Yogas, the Lord Śiva has taken that poison, and he holds it in his throat. His throat became blue, and that’s why he is also called the blue-throated Śiva, Nīlakaṇṭha. But the symbols of this are the many diseases which we have. Every organ in the trunk of our body is affected by the Viśuddhi Cakra. How? From our behaviors, our thoughts, our fears, etc. And we try to hold it in our throat, mostly in what we call our glands, the thyroid gland. The thyroid gland is mostly ill or not healthy because you have swallowed or kept some kind of energy of fear, hate, jealousy, conflict, etc. And these five chakras are the qualities of the human. These five chakras and the Ājñā Cakra, the eyebrow center—the third eye of Śiva—this is the bridge between the divine chakras and the human chakras. So this is where it is beginning, exactly what we call yoga. The Ājñā Cakra has two petals. And these two have two mantras: the Ha and the Tha. So this Ha-Tha becomes Haṭha Yoga. Haṭha Yoga is not just physical things, but it’s a balance between our human weakness and our consciousness. So the six chakras, from Mūlādhāra till Ājñā Cakra, have 52 petals, and each petal is a resonance of the human body, of human consciousness. According to that, it is called the Devanāgarī alphabet. And these alphabets are within the human body, along the spinal column, or the so-called Kuṇḍalinī. And so there are 52 resonances in our body. If we practice that, automatically many diseases will disappear. Finally, on the top of the head here, where we have hair and a circle on the top of our head, that’s called the Bindu Cakra. Bindu is a dot, and that is the nectar. Through the yogic techniques called the one kriyā, from the Bindu Cakra comes the nectar. It goes to the navel, the Maṇipūra Cakra, through the kriyā in our throat, what we call the Khecarī Mudrā. We catch that, we preserve that through the Khecarī Mudrā, from the Bindu Cakra. And finally, if you reach the highest level of human consciousness, you are free from birth and death. And you come to the Sahasrāra Cakra, the thousand petals of the Cakra. It means the thousand rays of the sun, the liberation that is all in the human body. Finally, it comes to the Oṁ. And that Oṁ is the resonance in all the three worlds: past, present, and future—akāra, ukāra, makāra. In America, they have researched and they called it the sound of the sun. You can see that on YouTube. And exactly the sound of the sun is that Oṁ. So it is not a religion. It’s not a culture, but it is the body of the humans: physical body, mental body, subtle body, consciousness, awareness. That is the human. Out of the 8.4 millions of different creatures, one is the human. If humans will act according to nature and what God has given, we will be happy and the whole world will be happy. My dear brothers and sisters, it is my great privilege that I could come here. I was waiting the last four years to come here, and today God gave me the opportunity. I observe the whole park has many, many beautiful monuments. And I’m sure that many people are coming and visiting, but more and more will come. I wish for this beautiful village, our city, that God bless them, and they all should be happy and healthy, and they will be good hosts to all who are coming to visit here. God bless this country. God bless all of you, my dear brothers and sisters. Once more, also I want to say that His Excellency took the time and he came here. Thank you very much. And all the artists who worked on this, I admire them and I thank them very much. And that’s why I think the helicopter has come to take a photo of us. Thank you. Now, I have one suggestion: keep the distance as it is. Don’t go between. It is the Kuṇḍalinī power. Kuṇḍalinī, they call serpent power, and the serpent is walking like this. Until the serpent moves between your Kuṇḍalinī, your power, your kriyā will not be successful. As soon as this power, this center has been put here, it is already there. Thank you. Enjoy. God bless you. I invite you to take a seat, and you will do the practice of Kaṭhūparṇam with Muktānanda. So the second variation of Kaṭhūparṇam, but first we will chant Oṁ three times. Sit comfortably. Close your eyes. We make Chin Mudrā. Deep inhalation, exhalation a few times. And relax. We will chant Oṁ three times. Exhale and take a deep breath. Let’s go.
