The source of our knowledge is Gurudev

Wisdom flows like a river, ever-renewing. You cannot dip twice in the same water, but the flow returns fresh. If the butter of past masters is gone, the cow remains; feed it with love and you get endless milk. The source of wisdom is within, given by the guru. When the master speaks, it rains nourishment. The true master speaks from within, not from notes. The body is limited, the soul limitless. Like an aeroplane, the wheels are left behind when the flight takes off. Expand your wings beyond sadness. A seeker dreamt of a book, found it, and met the master; with one glance he fell into trance and realized the Lord. Realization comes when the soul’s time arrives. The human body is a precious tool; mere eating and drinking is animalistic. What we learn is a handful of sand next to the vast Himalayas of knowledge. Within the body lies the science of kundalini, energy centers with resonances. Each letter of the alphabet is a divine energy residing within. This resonance awakens like a swan stretching its wings, but God hid it to prevent misuse.

Deep Nārāyaṇ Bhagavān Kī Jai, Devādhī Dev Deveśvara Mahādeva Kī Jai, Satguru Svāmī Madhavān Jī Bhagavān Kī Jai, Alakhpurī Jī Mahādeva Kī Jai, Satya Sanātana Brahmā Kī Jai. Oṃ Tryambakaṃ Yajāmahe Sugandhiṃ Puṣṭivardhanam, Urvārukamiva Bandhanān Mṛtyormukṣīya Mā’mṛtāt. Om Śānti, Śānti, Śānti. Good morning to everybody. How are you? Many of you missed the very nice lecture of our dear Gulābjī Koṭārī. There was some misunderstanding, but some water of the river has flowed. We cannot wash in the same water in the river. We cannot dip twice in the same river. We dip in the good water; we come out. We cannot dip in the same water again, because that water is already gone ten meters far. Similarly, this morning, like a river of wisdom, it flowed, but it did not go away; it comes again. Yes, it is said, once I was sitting with Gurujī, our Guru Dev Swāmī Madhavānandajī Mahārāj, in Jaipur Ashram. And one person came, a good learned one, he is a poet, but he put a question to Gurujī, and he said, "Gurudev, I would like to write some bhajans, poems, but all good words, good things, they are taken by Sūradāsa, Kabīrdāsa, Mīrābāī, Tulasīdāsa, etc. They took all the butter, and for us, it’s only buttermilk. So, I don’t know what I can have; they took the butter away." Gurujī said, "Yes, that’s true, but they took the butter, they ate the butter, but they didn’t eat the cow yet. So the cow is still there. Makhan khāyā to kyā huā, dhenu hamāre pās, charā ḍālo prem kā, do din aur rāt." So Gurujī said, if the butter is gone, but dhenu, the cow, is with us still, feed the cow with the feeder of love. And day and night, you can enjoy, take the butter, milk, and everything. So this morning, Gulabjī had some butter; it’s gone and melted, but there is very fresh, sweet butter again. So don’t worry, Gulābjī is with us. Thank you. There was a different program. Actually, it’s my mistake. I did not look in and said when, what time. Here and around the world, for those who are with us through the webcast, we are here in our beautiful, holy place, and we will have a beautiful time. It is said in one beautiful poem, but I have forgotten it. Does it matter? It is there still in the memory from Gurujī. And the essence of that poem, it was, I think, from Kabīrdās. And in that poem, which I will search, it is in Gurujī’s lecture, I have seen a few days ago. That water which comes from the water well, similarly, it’s not in our body, but in our knowledge, our intellect, which is in humans, and there is the source of that wisdom, which is given by Guru Dev. It can be your school teacher, it can be your friend, your parents, or your spiritual teacher. All this together creates a beautiful, beautiful, big, big cloud. And when it begins to rain, each and every entity, every plant, and the earth, they are all nourished, which gives only positivity. It’s called our life, and so when a master speaks, then the master will not speak in that way. Dear brothers and sisters, welcome to all of you. It’s very nice to see you. That is called, we call Vāśī. It means old meal from yesterday. I’m not that one. I’m not the perfect one. But you see, I never use one piece of paper. Because it is speaking in us, our Gurudev, that is what we call the viveka, the vairāgya. Esā Merā Sadguru Andar Bole, which is the bhajan? Madhuram? And so we have known Gulābjī for many years. Did he bring one book, and was he looking in it? I didn’t see him. He gave the book. He didn’t take the book and read it. So that is the difference. All my disciples, no one writes, types, and then reads. That is a perfect path that is endless. This body is limited. And we are limitless. But to come to the limitless, we have to walk with this limited one. We are walking on the earth. We are still not like Devpurījī, who could go in the air. Or in an aeroplane. We are limited. And that’s limitless, but this body will remain. Like when we take off in the aeroplane, on the runway, and the tires rolling on the runway, and suddenly the tires lift up. Tires disappear somewhere, and the flight goes away. What did the aeroplane say? If you want to see me fly, who said? Aeroplane. If you want to see me fly, then please lift the sky up a little, then you will see my birds and my flight. At that time, this body remains behind. That wheel on the runway gave you the support, guided you till there, but then said, "You go ahead." Oh, I remember one day, one word that Gulābjī’s father said once to me. You know Kulisjī, and we were there sitting, and we were talking about the aeroplane, and this flight was taking off. And I said, "Yes, it was a Lufthansa." Hansa. He said to Swamiji, "Hansa." That is the Paramahaṁsa. And Luft means disappeared in the sky. That is a Paramahaṁsa. So Luft Hansa, what a beautiful name. So it is something like that. Similarly, if you have some depression, a little bit of sadness, but your husband or wife or somebody else, this is temporary. Just expand your wings, let your wings fly far away. Otherwise, there were two masters who came, Gulābjī. Two masters came, just like someone who is training something. So one master had a crow, and he said, "My crow, I’m training him how he can fly, how far, and this and that." And the other master, like always Gulābjī said, like this, "I also have my disciple, he’s called a swan," he said, "but my crow is the best, he can make so many techniques." So he said, "Okay, then let it go." So, the crow was making a sound and went, "Par, par..." Par, smoothly, that’s called Paramahaṁsa. So, those who have limited knowledge then try to make par par... like this. But the wise one is just taking off. Therefore, it is said, "Esā Merā Sadguru Andar Bole." Your master is talking within you. Yes, the wisdom is still, your master will be with you till the Brahmaloka, not only on this earth. So let our Madhuram sing this bhajan. Brahmānandajī Mahārāj was the disciple of our Bhagavān Śrī Dīp Nārāyaṇ Mahāprabhujī. We have in Leela Amrit written, and here a bhajan book from Brahmanandajī. And when Brahmānandajī, well, the story is going a different way. That is always my problem. I think and decide, "I will speak this today." And Mahāprabhujī brings the waves of the ocean and throws me somewhere else. That steering is not in my hands. O Gurudev Kehenbe, Brahmanandjī, it is near Bikaner, one small village, and he learned a lot, many from the Upaniṣads, Vedas, etc., etc. And he was thinking that he was the best master. When we know many things, then, of course, it is for a spirit, a sādhaka, a practitioner. Either go with the waves of the ego, and it falls on the rock of ignorance. If Satguru is there, then it’s something different. One day, this was the same time like this month. And he was now resting under one tree called Khejarī. The Khejari tree is very holy. In the Indian traditions, when someone dies, then we go to the crematorium. Then, at least a little piece of the khejarī must be in the fire. And the leaves are very healthy. The fruits are the best vegetables and have a lot of nutrition, etc. He was resting after working in the field, and he slept and saw a book in the dream. The book’s written name was Devpurī Anubhav Prakāś. He got up. "I saw a book in the dream today." Dev Vidyā Gītā. There are many books and many things. Forgotten. After two, three years, he comes near the palate, near the nipple. And there was an ashram where Mahāprabhujī was living, called Bola Guda. Three kilometers from Bola Guda is a village called Pilamni, and his mother’s village was there. Some events were there, so he came from Bikaner to there. And these people where he came, they were devotees of Mahāprabhujī. And so there was a book of Mahāprabhujī, Anubhav Prakāś, in some cupboard, and he saw it. He was shocked: "This is my dream. How is it here?" So he was telling people, and they said, "It’s Mahāprabhujī’s, three kilometers far. Can we do something now?" Changing subject? Yes. Gulabjī has to come a little to the front. No, the people can’t see him. Sorry, Gulābjī, to disturb you to stand up, but please, can you come a little to the front? Nobody sees him. Oh my God. You see sometimes. Come, come, come. Bus. Bus. Otherwise, always something under your teeth, and the tongue is Virajī. Yes, up now they can see you, otherwise you were hidden. He said, "I have seen many sādhus, but they said, ‘Go, that is Mahāprabhujī.’" He said, "Should I go?" Say yes. He said, "You read in Līlāmṛt, read, it’s not my story, please." He said, "I will go and I will make tratak." Mahāprabhujī will become unconscious. They said, "No problem, come on." And Mahāprabhujī was sitting in Bholāgūḍhā. Bhaktas were around him. And Mahāprabhujī was sitting as if in meditation. And this Brahmanandjī, his name was different, and he was standing like this for a few minutes. Then Mahāprabhujī just looked at him, and he fell down. Yes, this is what people say. Some people are still living, and in that way, in this, he became a little, not unconscious, but he went into some trance. And he realized what Mahāprabhujī is. So he wrote immediately. He was a great person. He could immediately make some poem or bhajan, so he got up. Then he said bhajan, and then he sang bhajan: "Hari Guru Miliyatha Purabhame." Hari Guru Miliyatha Purabhame. Hari means Viṣṇu. Hari Guru Miliyatha Purabhame, in my past life I saw him. O my friends, I did not know this is my Lord. It’s a very good bhajan. So this is called the experiences, the practical experiences with the master and disciple. And he got the Brahmajñāna, the realization. Now, Paramahaṁsa Rāmakṛṣṇa put the hand of the millions of people. Why didn’t they get it all? So there comes a time, and in that time, that soul arrives. The time that the soul is behind the body, the body is just like a cloth that comes out. So, therefore, we have to come above these āsanas and prāṇāyāmas. But we should not give up. That is our tool. When the tool is gone, even the best surgeon cannot operate. An engineer can’t do anything if the tools are not there. So, the body, our body should be healthy, and all five elements. In our human life, we have to get realization. Otherwise, khānā, pīnā, bhogānā, paśubhī, paramśudānā—eating, drinking, creating children—also animals can do. O human, if you do only this much, then what is the difference? So, and we don’t know if we will come again as a human. We will come, we will not come, we don’t know. That is very hidden. We go behind one curtain. No one can see us. Mother, father, wife, husband, children. We make pūjā, funerals. We cry. We put up the pictures. But when this jīvātmā leaves this body, it goes with that speed, like a star falling from the sky. With that speed. We don’t know where we are going, but in the human body, everything is there. So we come to this little point. In our human body is the science. Kulisji, I saw a video a long time ago about Kṛṣṇa and Rādhā. It’s a beautiful song. I’ve forgotten. But in that video, there is one little story: one ṛṣi is sitting in the Himalayas, many, many years old. Dharmarāja sends a messenger, a message that now is your time to come. Did you read the Vedas? He said, no. So he saw a glimpse of the Vedas. Now he wants to study. It was a few hundred years. Dharmarāja again sent this person. He said, "Please, can you tell God that until I finish reading my Vedas, give me time to stay here?" So again and again he comes, the messenger, and he says, "Still I want to learn." Dharam Rājujī said, "This time you must bring him." But the ṛṣi has a power. He can’t do anything. So he asked the ṛṣi, "How many years do you want to learn? Can you tell me?" How much do you want to learn? So the messenger said, "Ṛṣi, hold your both hands and look in the Himalaya," and wind came and some dust, fine sand, came in his palm, and Dhanamraj said, "How much is in your palm?" It’s a little. So, till now, what you have learned is this much, and what you have to learn is the whole Himalaya. How long will you do this? Therefore, please come. So when that Brahmaloka, Brahmajñāna, then all remains behind. So God has given, maybe God or whatever it is, this body is very precious, and maybe it will not come again. So within this is the science of the Kuṇḍalinī. And Kundalini, you know, we have our book, Hidden Powers in Humans. And now there are many, many chakras on each and every point, what we call through acupuncture. Where there is what we call, what they call, when you touch the point? What do you call it? Don’t talk too much. Meridian. Wherever you touch, that is the chakra. Anyhow, now we know the Sanskrit language. And it is said the whole world, the language, mother is Sanskrit. And Sanskrit has its alphabet, and the alphabet, or the letters, is 52. And in English there are only 26. Now, these letters or alphabets—someone said "alphabet" is not correct, write "the letters," and someone said not "the letters"—so they confuse me. So I put a little this side and a little that side; I use sometimes this and that. Now, do you know the name, how do we call the letters or the alphabet of Sanskrit or Hindi? Dev Nagrik, now, Deva means the goddess, and Nagrik means citizen. So these letters, this alphabet, is not a letter. It is divine energies we call goddess. Now, in the human body, God has given, with this body, these letters or alphabet called Devanāgarī. Deva is the goddess, or that energy, whatever you call it, but divine. And Nāgarika is a citizen in this body. So this body, in this body, our residence is our body, where our origin is here. And that is the resonance. Again, I tell you, because Gulābjī is sitting here in Hungary, Vāip, we had a beautiful lecture under the trees, and Kulisjī was there, and we were sitting there. And one of our bhaktas, I think, who was this, is now Swami Gajānand. And this bhajan he sang, and this bhajan, what he was singing from Śivānandjī, Mahāprabhujī’s disciple. And that bhajan is Śabdose lenā, śabdose denā, śabdose, etc., etc. The Kulīśa is very much like the Śabda. And Kulidjī said to me, "It will be the Śabda Vedas," and after two or three years, I saw a beautiful book which weighed seven kilos. And on it is written Śabda Veda. So this, our letters, that is called the resonance. Each and every chakra, every petal, there is a letter, but this is not a letter, but it is a resonance. And that we will see next. Program about that kriyā, that time in the whole body, what is such a vibration, like how Kuṇḍalinī is awakening, that like a swan stretches his wings, and in each and every feather is that resonance. Can you imagine how beautiful it is? But God was very clever. He didn’t give the humans this. Otherwise, humans will make a complete disaster in the world. So we will come back to this subject again, and in the evening there will be a program. I wish you all the best, and we will come to this kriyā. Everyone will get it; I will serve everybody, and you will get the nourishment. But now, in India, we used to say, "Bhūkīn bhajan Gopāla. Lelākāntī Mālā." One bhakta said to Kṛṣṇa, "O Kṛṣṇa, my stomach is empty, I am hungry. With hunger, I cannot meditate. I give your mālā back." So, time for dinner, lunch, and wish you very good, all the best.
