Yoga Nidra with Vishwaguruji in the open air

A guided Yoga Nidrā session for healing through connection with the five elements.

"Feel the vibrational energy of the earth... If we can touch the earth with the soles of our feet and our hands at least once a day, it will heal many kinds of diseases."

"All five elements are outside of our body and within our body... We are the five elements, and we are fluttering in the five elements."

An instructor guides participants through a deep relaxation practice while lying down. The session focuses on consciously sensing the earth, air, fire/sun, water, and space (Ākāśa) both within and around the body, explaining their healing power and our intrinsic connection to them. The practice includes breath awareness and concludes with instructions for a silent walk in nature.

Lie down on your back. Place your hands beside your body, legs slightly apart. Close your eyes and relax your entire body. Simply relax. Feel the vibrational energy of the earth. Some of you have a yoga mat, so your body is not directly touching the earth. But feel the earth through both your heels, your palms, and the lower half of your arms up to the elbows. Relax. Be aware of the immense solar energy, the sun rays that reach us through the earth. The Earth is in contact with the sun for 24 hours. It is a very, very subtle vibration. Place your palms on the earth. Relax. If we can touch the earth with the soles of our feet and our hands at least once a day, it will heal many kinds of diseases. It removes allergies, of course, not in an area where chemicals have been spread. Feel your breath. The normal breath. Feel the expansion and contraction of the abdomen, so that your navel is also moving up and down. While inhaling, the solar plexus rises and expands; while exhaling, it contracts. Our sun rays, the sunlight, the sun energy, mostly comes to the navel area. And with our hands and other parts of the body, we can touch the earth directly. Beneath the palms, or other parts of the body touching the earth directly, we perceive the Earth. For 24 hours a day, the Earth is in connection with the Sun. Inhale through the whole body. This means with your foot soles, your toes, your fingers, the tips of the fingers, your palms. Your arms, your legs—feel the earth. Relax, relax. Now feel the breath. The breath takes in the air, and the air carries the sun. You are taking in that oxygen in the form of the sun's power through your nostrils when you are inhaling. In nature, each tree is different. One tree may be an apple tree; another a cherry; another a plum; another a nut tree, etc. And many bushes. Every tree has a different radiance, and that is the collection of different energies from different vegetation. And by this beautiful wind, everything is mixed in a beautiful way. The radiance from the earth is also mixed with different kinds of minerals, different irons, water, and different stones. That radiance is a healing power within you. In a room where you are alone, you should keep your body without clothes for 10 to 15 minutes or half an hour. Or in your garden or in a forest where you can have security, or whatever we call it, so that you can be without clothes. Feel the whole body. Breathe through the air. Nostrils. The gentle aromas from different trees, flowers, grass, even the smell of the earth. Feel the space. From the five elements. One is the sky, but we are constantly fluttering in space. Within and outside our body is space. Without space, we can't move at all. With each movement, energy comes. You are in this space, you are in this space within and outside. Through our veins, nerves, our bones, organs, our stomach, nose, brain—everywhere is space, the Ākāśa. If we do not have space within our body, we cannot breathe in and out. We can expand, but we cannot contract. Relax. This is called the healing power through these five elements. Relax. Relax, try to become aware or go within your body. How much empty space we have in our body. Each and every cell is full of this space. Every movement of the liquid and blood in the body is with space. Ākāśa. Space. Similarly, the water. There is an immense amount of water in the form of humidity in the air. If there is no humidity in the air, you cannot breathe. You are dried out. Ākāśa has more water than the ocean. And that water element is in the earth, in the vegetation, in the air and space—the water. Through this water, we are inhaling and exhaling. It is like a healing power. In this humidity, water is mixed with the essence of herbs from the flowers' beautiful smile. The earth is smelling. Water. The lungs. Purify the lungs with the breath. Through the space, through the air. And water. Prāṇa. When the prāṇa is blocked—the wrong way of living is the wrong way of nourishment—then so many diseases appear, and one which is a very aggressive illness is called cancer. So this kind of Yoga Nidrā, what we are doing now, is a healing power. To understand the five elements, and try to keep your elements pure. This body is created from these five elements. When the elements are separated, life is gone. Relax. Relax. All five elements are outside of our body and within our body. If there is no humidity on our body, our skin will become very dry and it will break. If there is no air, we will also dry out. If there is no space, we can't move and can't breathe. So we are fluttering in the five elements, as five elements. We are the five elements, and we are fluttering in the five elements. It is called nirguṇa and saguṇa. Saguṇa is the body, solid. Nirguṇa is the five elements. Nirguṇa is our solid body, and nirguṇa is those five elements. What is the wonder? What is the relation? How is one in two? And two in one? And both are completely separate from jīvātmā? This is the Yoga Nidrā, which can lead us to the Brahmaloka: pure nourishment, pure air, pure water, pure vegetables, our nourishment, our food. And the society with whom you speak, with whom you are sitting, and what habits you get. With this technique of our Kriya Yoga, Haṭha Yoga Nidrā, you can cure disease, have positive thinking, and relax. Relax now. Take a deep inhale, feel the prāṇa in the body. Breathe in and out. And move your fingers and toes. You know, without space and without air, you can't move. Relax. Turn or roll your body left and right. And slowly sit up. With Mauna (silence), we have 25 minutes to walk through this beautiful park anywhere, without socks or shoes. Of course, you can say a little, "OK, how are you?" That's all. But no more talking. You can go to the garden of J.D.V. Maybe she wants something. Touch the earth. Grass and everything, OK? Právai a všeo. Adio.
