You have to have a Master key

The universe within mirrors the cosmos, and sound is the resonant power connecting all. Life passes swiftly, and we run with it. The body contains the entire universe; what is not in the cosmos is not within us. The self and the universe are one. The great Siddha spoke of Rūpa, meaning beauty and silver, representing the moon and emotion. The sun is like gold. Both reside within our Brahman. Every creature is unique, like a thumbprint, yet all share the same reality. The resonance of sound, Śabda, links everything. This resonance is a network, like a telephone cloud, connecting all without collision. If humans create such networks, why doubt God's connection? Spiritual development is your own power and interest. Guidance can be given, but you must walk the path. Words are arrows; once spoken, they do not return. Speak wisely, weighing your words. Through sound and mantra, one ascends. Knowledge is exchanged in wise company. Gossip wastes energy. The Guru's words are the key.

"Eko brahma, Dvitīyo nāsti—only one is the reality, and the second is not."

"Śabda is the word, your voice... the words that you speak will not come back."

Śrī Dīp Nārāyaṇ Bhagavān, Devādhī Dev, Deveśvar Mahādev, Satguru Svāmī Madhavānandjī Bhagavān. Today or tomorrow? Good evening. Blessings of our Alakhpurījī’s paramparā. All dear ones. Life is passing very speedily, and we are also running with it. The subject this morning was about sound, and that’s called the Nāda, Rūpa, Parabrahma. So the great Siddha said, "Rūpa," and Rūpa means beautiful. Rūpa also means silver, and silver is very pure, and that represents the moon. We see the moon like gold, but it is said to be silver. We have in our body everything. What we have in our body, we have everything in the universe. And what is not in the universe is not in our body. So, we are in the universe, and that universe is within us. It’s a little bit different to understand, but there is the solution. Many times, our people are asking a question. And many times they are asking me the question, and I said, "Yes, but what do you think?" So, I try to also give the answer on one side. But this morning I was thinking, today or tomorrow? So, either I answer today or tomorrow, I have to answer. And that you have the question, and maybe the answer too, you have. But I should, according to my knowledge, say that answer. And that, what you call, who is the first, the bird or the egg? And in this question, we are all caught in one nest. So, searching and searching, you have to do it. So that Brahmāṇḍa, what’s it called? Brahmāṇḍa. We have spoken many times about Brahmāṇḍa. That Brahmāṇḍa is the egg. And that, that Nāda, that beauty, that is the resonance. So, Brahmāṇḍa, Aṇḍa, we call Aṇḍa. Aṇḍa means egg, and Brahmāṇḍa is round. But endless, we don’t know where the ending is. And so, it’s from the Svayambhū. Svayambhubol Vām, who has no mother and no father, no brother and no sister, how did he come? Svayambhū, and therefore this is a Brahmāṇḍa. That universe, that space is endless. And so the Jīva, Ātmā, Ajīva’s Ātmā. Rūpa is the resonance. Rūpa is that beauty. So, within us, the moon is the silver. The moon represents water, and that is called emotion. So, water here means that from these five elements, one element is what we call water. And this morning we spoke about this subject. And the sun is like the gold. So, this is both Chandra and Surya. And this Chandra and Surya, this is in our, in our Brahman. Then, of course, many, many, many things in this small body. When a little child is born, then you can say, my universe. Your līlā, miracles, everything is there. What will you now do in this world? That’s it. And everyone has the difference. It’s the same: they are brother and sister, or two brothers, or two sisters, born as twins. They were in the mother’s body, in the womb. They developed from one thing, but still the destiny is different. Thoughts are different. Feelings are different. That’s it. So, we can say, you know, sometimes people say that they did not learn anything. They are called the thumb, thumb... the thumb giver. And, but why do we say the thumb? Why not the finger? Why not your face? Now, whatever you study, however many titles you have, how many diplomas do you have? How much science do you know? Everything, but without thumbprint. Your signature is not valid. Yes or no? Even nowadays, when you cross the border and they check your passport and everything, they will still take your thumbprint. There are thousands, how many hundreds, thousands of people, but everyone has a different thumbprint. That is a miracle. There is something we have to understand. Research that. So, don’t think that you are a thumb printer only. A very, very, very important testament, or something you are doing, you have your right with the thumb. So, it is that Creator, God, He gave each and every entity a different, what is called a different, forgotten, not fingerprint. Some have it, even the horse has his print. Every creature’s God has given in this creature the word which I wanted to call. Okay, it doesn’t matter when the people are talking three times. Anyhow, so similarly, therefore, our sound, what we speak, how we speak, and from which part of the energy, and this and that, we are coming. And so this, have everything put in, that one. One in all and all in one. So, Eko brahma, Dvitīyo nāsti, Eko brahma, that only one is the reality, and the rest, the second, is not. So Ekobrahma is that Brahman in Brahmāṇḍa. And we are inside, but we all are one. Every creature has the same color of blood. In the blood of the dog, or a snake, or a tiger, or a rabbit, or humans, the color is there, and in that color again, God has given such a print that everyone has different genes in their blood. And this can only be that for those who have God, the Brahmajñāna. And in order to come to those steps, that view has to go through that resonance. And resonance is something very, very beautiful and very great. God has done this. Now, how many hundreds of people are we sitting here? And I think definitely everyone of us has a telephone. Maybe someone has forgotten at home. Or maybe there is still someone they don’t want to have a telephone. But what is the population of Hungary? 10 million, 10 million... Hungarian? No, no,... No, 9 and something, Swamiji, 9 and something. Nearly. Congratulations. Thank you, the Hungarians are active. Gratulálok, aktívak a Magyarok. We must tell the Austrians too. Meg kell mondani az Osztrákoknak. That they should become a little active. Ők is legyenek ennyire. So, how many Hungarian people are there? Definitely, they have double telephones, or one and a half. Okay, okay. Besides Croatian, they are very active. Croatian likes the telephone very much. Now, what I want to tell is how many billions of people are telephoning continuously. And now, the resonance, what is going from one telephone to the other telephones, and that is also what the human brain has created, which we call a network. Now, we don’t say network. We say the fog, the smoke. So there are no wires, there is like a fog. But still, the fog, the cloud. And each and every fog has its own separate drop of water. And so, all are going, but no one is crashing together. When the brain is not in order, it means the telephone, then, maybe some crashing. So, if humans could make this science and such things, if they can do it, why should we not accept that God did? And so, that one God is connected to each and every entity. Some creatures live only one day. And some are only born in this space and die in this space. But that information is with God. And how? The light. And the light is that Jīva, the Ātmā, and so it’s called the fire. So, all, one in all, and all in one is that resonance, and it will lead you there, definitely it will lead you there, our resonance. And so, when, if you want to have this, Yogic science is that science to God, and that we can. Achieve through that practice, but we are using too much brain power. And therefore, we can’t come that far. And what does that mean, the brain power? We call here, not, but we call. If someone is talking too much, then we say it is a dog brain. When you sleep here, you will see us, Hungarian, how many dogs are whole night. So it’s called the dog brain, all the times, all the times. So, if we want to come to that spiritual development, it is your development. It is your power. It is your interest, and you can do it; no one can give it to you. We can give certain suggestions, but we cannot. And you have to eat. We can bring the food there. No, it’s called—there is a written—I heard somewhere, It’s called Vegetarian Tilak Pizza. Do you know the Tilak Pizza? Raise my hand up, please. Thank you. And where is that Tilak? Strilky. Yes, but it was also there. There is a Tilak, you know? Where? And where is it? When we went to the Himalayas, there was also a restaurant called Tilak. Okay, thank you. So, we want to work for ourselves. We can show you the way, but you have to go. And now we also have technology, so in the... When you are driving a car, you press one button, and then you have a very beautiful voice of one sister inside, "Now turn left," and "Now turn right." Now, your destination is there. It’s the right side. That must be guidance we get. Similarly, the Gurudeva, the Master, gives guidance to the disciple. But this, what you call your Madam, who is talking in the car, she’s a very nice person. I want to see that lady, where she is, which country, but nobody tells me that. She’s so kind. If you miss the road, she says, don’t worry, I’m counting on the side. So, like a mother forgives the child for the child’s error. That’s it. And so it is said, guṣpīṅg, that is lost energy. Therefore, our Mahāprabhujī’s disciple Śivānanda, Mahāprabhudīp Choṭṭikāṭṭu, and his relatives and parents came and asked, "Why did you become a sannyāsī?" You can do the sādhanā at home also, but he said what he said. And we were singing today. And that is a very nice bhajan. Who answers? He answers. And there is this word that’s called nāda. Śabda. Śabda is the word, your voice. And this morning, I explained to you the śabda tīr. So, that subdued ear you speak, and the arrow will go there. And now, we can also do it. You see, it is subdued; the ear doesn’t come back. And so there are different kinds of arrows or bullets. What, when the bullet is gone out of the gun, will not come back. The arrow, when you shoot it, will not come back. And similarly, the words that you speak will not come back. We can say sorry, so we will say sorry. So it is that we forgive you, but we will not forget you. And that time, when the civil war was in Yugoslavia, many people who were outside of Yugoslavia said, "We will forgive you, but we will not forget you." And that is the arrow of your word. If someone is there, and you say very harsh words, among us, that person whom you told a very harsh word, that arrow has already gone into your heart. That’s why it is said that when you speak, wise men say it three times in your heart, to weigh how heavy your word is. Otherwise, this weight, however much you have, it will not come back. So, such bhajans, what we are talking about, bhajans, singing, are beautiful songs. And mostly in the song, there will be no negative thoughts. Maybe sometimes some people are giving something in the Second World War. Someone said to some countries, to that country, "God curse you." But otherwise, the song is different. So, śabda, and this śabda we have in five different forms. First is called likhit mantra. Then, what we call, "Bakery chanting." Then, upāṃśu, lips are moving, and then, mantra. No tongue moving, nothing. And the fifth one is called Ajapa. Ajapa, jisko kyā japay, bin japay jahoy. What you can practice, Ajapa. Ajapa itself has lifted you already to that highest level. Like you press the button, and your lift goes automatically up and brings you to your mañjilī, that floor. So, but Śivānandjī Mahārāj, Bhagavān Dīpnār Mahāprabhujī said, so you sing or I sing? You sing. So it is like a morning, midnight, midnight. Rāga Oran Ave Moi Dai Dai Mari Heli, they are my friends. They are my relatives. They are mine, who understand my words. Yes, other words I don’t like. Which one? Gashaping. It’s the last, last time. Oh my friends, oh my God, Rāma. Give through the words and take through the words. Yes, there is a saying in Rajasthan or in some part of India. Many people understand. There are, so it is said, "Uj mandyag Jani se jani mile kare jani ki baat." A wise person meets another wise person. What will this do? They will talk about the knowledge. They are knowledgeable people. And second, it is said, Gadha se gadha mile, when donkey meets donkey. De Ghumake Lat So, either they will bite or kick with the legs. So, the donkeys are beating you with your legs. They don’t talk with others, that’s it. So, take knowledge from the words and give knowledge from your words. Anything you speak will be the wisdom inside. Yes, you will talk about worldly things, but in such a wise way that you will like it. We can make anything beautiful. Or for those who do not have that knowledge or that quality, then no matter how much you try, it will not function. It is said, Chandan Makhi Methi, Chandan Parhare Makhi, Durgandi Mahajab. One fly was sitting on the pest of the stone or the wood, what we call sandal. So, one paṇḍitjī, like this paṇḍitjī, was making the paste from the sandalwood. Whole day you will have a beautiful smell on your hands, and in your house. So one fly was sitting there on the paste of the sandalwood. Chandan Mak Parihari, so that fly, see, flies away. Durgandī Vāhan Ud Jai. There was a little child of the Paṇḍitjī’s, and a little far away, the child was making toilet. So the fly from the sandalwood paste, but when the toilet came, she flew away from there and went to this dirt. Because that fly has this kind of habit already, so it doesn’t like to go to the chandan paste, but it goes to the toilet. Chandan makhi parhare, durgandhi vān ud jai, aise yajñānī satsaṅg nai sune. Like that, a person who doesn’t have knowledge, what will he do? When he comes to satsaṅg, he will do like this: sleeping, or get up and go outside. What a beautiful point. Our Gurujī has written this: "Gurujī kīrta candana makkhī parahare, durgandhi vaha uḍh jā aise agyānī satsaṅg nahī sune, koṅghe ke uḍh jāī." Like that person, either will sleep or get up and go out. We cannot do like, get them again. But sooner or later, they will again, perhaps, come to this life. Aur śabda se karnī hai bāt, bāt merī helī. And so, talk with the words to words. And take also from words to words. That’s it. So when you meet your wise person, always talk good. So, what did he say then? And with these words, they ask you. They give you suggestions, and you give form to the suggestions, and these words will go with you. What you give, some good words, and now you go home, you are taking this wisdom, the words of wisdom with you. Or if it is negative, it will go negative, so bring good home. Bring goodness to your friends. Gossiping is not good. Otherwise, you say, what were you doing there? Oh, always Parvati, what is she doing? Hey, do you know what she’s doing? Oh, always she was coming, and now she’s somewhere else. Why are you making this information? It’s not your job. That’s it, but people are like that. They have big stones in their stomach, and they can’t digest. Immediately they will talk. Immediately they will tell. Even two days you cannot wait. Ten minutes you cannot wait. There are some who heard this one thing, and after finishing, the telephone, again the telephone, and gives further messages. Why? You lost, you lost. You lost your energy, you lost your spirituality, many things. That’s it. So, Sābadhānse Vela Rāma, Sābadhānse Mela. And through these words, through this language, we are together with this language. And through these words, we are coming together. That’s a satsaṅg. If we see how many are from different countries, you are coming. Who brought you that? That’s Śabda. That’s Śabda of the Gurudev. Our Gurudev, Mahāprabhujī, Devpurījī, Holī Gurujī, Alakhpurījī, everything, many. And many other great, great Siddhas. It is their words that I’m talking about; it’s not my words. But I’m preserving it in my pocket, so sometimes I give it out. Yes. One day I told Avatārpuri Jī. So, but last night he said, "What should I learn? And this and that, and Sanskrit, difficulty, everything." So I said, only one word is enough. Ahaṁ gacchāmi, I am going. And now I am going. You can make a satsaṅg for one hour. I am going. Yes, I am going from the negativity. I am going away from the kuśaṅgas. I am going to practice. I am going to meditate. I am going to read my book. I am thinking. I am going to Avatārpuri. With one word, I am going. You can make some big. Next day he said, "Thank you, Swāmījī, it was great." And that is, a real father and mother give such an education to the children. Not that you learn now mathematics and you learn this mathic and that mathic. All mathic is no mathics. Yes. You, within you, is that. That I told you many times, I think. Someone came and said to Gurujī, Gurujī, there are so many poets, and they took all the best words and they made all bhajans. So, they took all the butter. And what remains is only, we call, the buttermilk. That means we took all the butter out, only white butter remains. How can I make a bhajan a point? So, Holī Gurujī said, it’s right. What you are saying is right. But, my dear, you didn’t understand. Yeah, but, you know, Sūradāsa wrote the bhajan, Mīrābāī wrote the bhajan. All sādhus made beautiful bhajans. And they took the butter. Gurujī said, "Yes, you are right." But you know, they eat only butter. They did not eat the cow, still. Feed her with good feed, and you will get more butter, more milk. And so much butter that you can’t eat. So, that cow is your viveka. The cow is your wisdom. But here in Austria, they say "blöde Kuh." They don’t know. Can you make butter from milk? Yes. So cows are not stupid. Stupid is the one who is talking. So what is a cow? Our wisdom, yes, our knowledge. Knowledge. Give good food. What? The bhajans. Yes. Then there will be enough milk. Which milk? You will give the wisdom. And what is the butter? It is that butter which is your joy, when people will say, "How nice, how nice, it was good." You were eating this butter. So these are poems. What is the essence of the talking? So similarly, you should—this I gave you the key, Vivek Purī, yes, I have to give you that key. Yes, otherwise it’s okay. We can tell many things, but when you have that key, you can open. That’s called the master key, you know, when you go to the hotel, that person has the master key; he can open every door. So, my dear, learn to have that Master Key. Otherwise, your lock is locked. It is a lock. Sorry. Śabdāṁsi yogī rāma śabdāṁsi jugatī. Oh, my friend, Sivanandjī Mahārāj said, "Śabdhase yogī. You become the yogī from that word, which words are the Brahma words." That Śabda, that Jñāna Yoga, one word, you understand everything. Master Key, Master Key. And now you all have to get a Master Key. When? I don’t know. But, slowly, slowly. And sometimes you don’t understand. So it means that all the time, we are grinding the same teeth in our mouth. And, śabdān se yogī, and yogī also through those words, śabdān se yogī rāmā, śabdān se jugatī, jugatī means that you know how to do, how to practice, how to, that’s very much. There is one word, but I’ve forgotten that. So, how? That’s very important. Sound is how we are in this physical world. Through whom? Through which words can we learn this? Only Guruvākya. And what is the Guruvākīya? That is called Mantra Mūlam Guru Kṛpā. I gave you that key now. But don’t forget, and don’t break it. And don’t put this key in the wrong lock, otherwise you will be in trouble. Śabdānśi Brahma Rāma, śabdānśi Māyā. And through these words is both the Brahma and Māyā. And Brahma and Māyā are that coming together, and creation begins. Yes, māyā, and māyā is a creation, and Brahmā is nothing. Śabdānśe Śivānanda Par Paramaharī, and Śivānandjī said, "Śivānandjī, Śabdānśī, I will cross my endless ocean." And so, good. So who will sing? You? Oh, Dr. Shanti. Oh, when Shanti is singing, then it’s Shanti. So don’t, you know what? If she is singing, then you should not spoil her tune, so don’t sing together. When she repeats it a second time, then you sing. Okay? Dīp Nārāyaṇa Bhagavān, Kī Sambuddha. This is a spiritual lecture about Yoga in the Indian tradition.
