Unity in spirituality

A Christmas satsang reflecting on spiritual unity and personal mission.

"Meine Mission oder meine Aufgabe von dem höheren und höchsten Gott, durch meinen Meister, einen Botschaften, ohne irgendwelchen Dualismus, alle Religionen, alle spirituellen Organisationen, etc., alles ist eins."

"Religion means to realize your relation to God; this is called religion. Realize, realize your relation to God."

The lecturer addresses a diverse European gathering during the Christmas season. He shares stories from his early days of teaching yoga across Austria and Eastern Europe, including travels by train and experiences in communist Czechoslovakia. He reflects on the life of Jesus and Mother Mary to illustrate themes of faith, societal judgment, and the universal message of oneness among all religions and peoples. The talk weaves personal anecdotes with spiritual philosophy, concluding with blessings for Christmas and the New Year.

It is a wonderful time, not only for Europe but for the whole world. God, or Jesus, will be praised everywhere; the Holy Mother, and everyone will celebrate with great love and dedication. Today we have something special for our little children, and they are restless now. Some have to go home, so we will talk later, but we will give to the children. Maybe some want to go home. So if we share this, the children will come here. So the children should come. The children are below 18 years. Oh, yeah. Good. Very good. Schön. This is for you. Thank you. Come on, come on. Thank you. So, we still have many of our brothers and sisters from other countries: Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary, and Vienna, right? Salzburg, Hamburg, and many others are still here. Welcome. As the lady said, she wanted to say, "You come here every year for Christmas, and today you come or not." I said, yes, I have four more days. So I was in Slovakia, in Croatia, in the Czech Republic. A weekend before that, I was in Hungary, and yesterday I was in Salzburg. Today is here, tomorrow is in Vienna. I will prepare in the morning, and on Friday I will fly back to India. I will stay three or four weeks in India and come to the Melā. Many of you know what Kumbh Melā means, and we know that I am a Mahāmaṇḍaleśvara, a long-time member of our Akhāḍā, Mahānirvāṇī Akhāḍā, and they have already sent three or four letters that I should come. I have other programs, many, but still I have to be there for at least two days. And then they want to bathe again, then again, but I am then in Australia, New Zealand, and so on. My ministry is very different from a ministry from one country, from politics, etc. In Villach. I have a small yoga center in Vienna, and two years before the center, I had yoga exercises and so on. What did I do back then? Why am I talking about this? Suddenly, a village came. So, it is a, I think, of course, Jesus is a million times higher than me. But you see and think of Jesus' life. And like the Holy Mother, the Father of Jesus, it is said, but he was a different Father, the God, the Father. It was not easy for Mother Mary. Now, still, sometimes, we have a 2% problem or 1% only. When someone's wife is pregnant, they say, "Oh God, and so and so." But now no one thinks that; it doesn't matter. But in the time when I came, it was still 80, 50%. And a hundred years ago, it was very critical. There was a woman who became pregnant and had, for God's sake, not yet been married, and so on. A hundred years ago, I wasn't there, so I think I'm lying. No, the other Austrians, I have to say, the Austrians and Austrians. Reiner. Reiner, no? And so for Maria, Mother Maria, she was not married or so on, but she became pregnant, and she also did not know. And I was in my villa in Salzburg three or four years ago. And I saw a child, Jesus, lying on the grass, without a cloth at all. How do you say? To cover. To cover. So I told people in Salzburg, next time when I come, Jesus must not be born naked, he must be wrapped in a beautiful cloth, a beautiful one. It happened. This time it was so beautiful. And you can't imagine, I was so happy for this. And I think I was very happy that Mother Mary was very happy. Something, a cloth? These are completely different things. So when I came, it was very beautiful. Now it is also beautiful. But Jesus wandered around a lot. Sometimes he was somewhere, not hidden, but he went somewhere where no one should disturb him. We say, yogīs, go to the Himalayas and meditate, nobody comes and disturbs. It was maybe like that for Jesus too, and he had slowly, slowly students. And we say twelve apostles. All of them were very nice, all of them were so nice. And all of them said they worshipped Jesus very much. Who knows about it? One, then Jesus, as I said, was betrayed. And Jesus did not say anything. Or did not give any bad words to the brothers. But how was the life? How was Jesus' life? And more than that, he suffered with so many pains. A mother—a mother is a mother. How difficult those times were. But Jesus, Mother, and so on, all were on the truth and gave something to people: that God is, and that God is merciful for all of us. There are many religions. Everything is good. Only one, God is only one. You can have a Holy Father, or Brahman, or Allah, etc. The problem is the people with their ego: I want more, others want more. But how? I thought, how does God bind everyone into one? And so, for example, perhaps. Everyone is so happy. Everyone has children, everyone is a mother, everyone is a father, etc., etc. No one, how do you say, says something bad. And so it is for me. So many bhaktas, so many, but everyone is one. One woman and the second woman, the mother is the mother. And one father, this father, is the father, is the father. Holi Guruji has said, "Who knows the god Krishna, knows." Not only respect, and so on. Who knows Kṛṣṇa knows what the Bhagavad Gītā is. Nothing else. And second, the mother knows who the father is. And so it is that we are in unity. So, let's go further. Why would I tell about the village? Because I laughed a lot when I saw it. Okay. So, in Vienna, I took a yoga class until 9 p.m. And it was Friday or Thursday. The yoga class was 10 people, 5 people, 20 people, etc. I cooked, ate, and so on. Then I closed the ashram, and I went by train. Sometimes it was pleasant, sometimes also people who weren't like that, alcoholics and addicts. So I went from one cabin to another cabin. Yes, it was. In the early morning, I came to the train station in Villach. And what did I do? I went to the first station. There was a bathroom. I went there, I washed there, and so on. And then I sat with a piece of paper and did a yoga exercise and yoga practice. A swami is here. No one was here for me. And I sat there, stuck several times, and then some people came, and I sat in the park. Yes. And I spoke to them about yoga and gave them yoga exercises. And then the next train went to Salzburg. And then from Salzburg to Linz. And then Linz begins further work in Vienna. So I have information on yoga, and they spread the message of yoga in this country. Then come to Czechoslovakia, and there, Czechoslovakia was difficult. Where the yogis were communists, and today I got a letter from someone. I can't tell you that completely, but every time I was in Czechoslovakia, I think at least 40 Spaniards were with me. And I thought, they are all yoga practitioners. Yes, so there were 40 practitioners, and they didn't know that the second one was the spy. Today, a letter came to me and said, "I already know exactly the day, where, and how it was." But I was completely correct and had no problem, no problem. Now we are in such a situation. Why is that? Because the two, the Spaniard, the Spaniard, the Spaniard. But I am, and the other one doesn't know if I am the spy or the others. Why? Because when I give the message as it is, another one will give it wrong. Then they will call them again, "Why are you wrong, and why are you wrong?" So that was very interesting. Yeah, and they gave me a car, they gave me money. Daily money, hotel, hotel money too. Because after a few years, one or two years, they really accepted me. And he had said, "Now we are inviting you as a state guest." Twenty years or twenty-two years in communist countries: Czechoslovakia, Poland, Hungary, etc. Yugoslavia was half and half, no. Okay, this is needed. But how do I spread the message of God through yoga? And it is true that yoga is the science of the humans. The humans. First was the yoga. Then the humans came. Yeah. That's it. Yes. It was once there was nothing. Śūnya ākāśa. In Hindi Sanskrit, Śūnya Ākāśa. Śūnya bedeutet gar nichts, gar nichts, Dunkelheit, keine Sonne, keine, the moon and so weiter, ganz, ganz dark. So, the question comes: the space, endless space, we don't know where it is. Like when someone asks the question, how far is the horizon? Then you can only say the horizon is that as far as you go, that far it goes further. The horizon is as far as you go, is that far again? Is there so endless universe? Nothing and nothing within that is called consciousness. So there is a consciousness and a space. Now, is a consciousness in the space, or the space in the consciousness? That begins the dualism. The consciousness has no desires, and the space has nothing to do. How does the creation begin? And that's called the... Lastly, it comes that there is a space and consciousness. Space is there, and consciousness is within the space, but between the consciousness and the space are the three principles, that means the balance, the harmony, and oneness. These... Are the three principles, and therein is that consciousness, in which something is there, but they don't know; nobody knows. And then it will begin. The Vedas said that "eko'haṁ bahusyāmi"—I am one, and I will multiply now. Who? That consciousness. So harmony, balance, and oneness. But who? Who said that I will multiply now? There is nothing. So these are the elements, the principle of within this is called first, nāda rūpa para brahma, the sound. If you want to see what is the supreme, the highest, the Brahman, or God, or Holy Father, or whatever. You call that the resonance. With that resonance, something happens, and from that comes the light, the fire, and from that light comes that manifestation called Swayambhū. Swayambhū means "itself." Itself is the self. There is no mother, there is no father, nothing. It is only these three principles: the sound, the light, and the coming of the Swayambhū. Swayambhū is yourself. Well, to say a little something, you can. Which is, we should not compare with that one. But there is also something we can compare. So in Āyurveda, they said you should drink every morning your Svayambhū. They asked me also, "What should I drink, my Svayambhū?" So that person who gave me the hint, you drink every morning your own urine. No one has produced that. You have produced it. You are a Svayambhū. Understand this? That's it. So it is a Śreya Bhāva, which is your own production. And so, "Eko'haṁ bahu syāmi," I am one and now I will multiply. And so, slowly, slowly, all confusing things are happening now. But still, now you can't, even Śiva himself can appear on this earth, he can do nothing. Humans have done such confusion in the world: different religions, different this, different fighting, this, this, this. Jesus said, "Thou shalt not kill." So we should not kill even the animals, birds, or anything. Okay, this, but even we do not accept now, "Thou shalt not kill," that we should not kill humans. And we are so far to kill us, the humans. Where is God's message you bring? And so, even the religion is fighting against other religions. So it means it's not that God. Religion means to realize your relation to God; this is called religion. Realize, realize your relation to God. That is making the God and you have, my dears. There's a lot of things you will say. We are listening about Christmas, and he's talking, "You are the," but what I want to tell is that this city after. Then came also the other one, then I've stayed here in the village, is called, what was it? You know where I stayed there? Roten Turm. Yeah, and then there's a big lake, Milstätter See. So from this village, I was crossing the whole forest, going to the other side, swimming, and then coming back. One of my disciples was from Linz. They moved here, and so often I came and stayed a few days there. At that time, I wanted to go to Slovakia or Croatia or Yugoslavia. People said, "Don't go there." I don't know. They said, "Go and see." It must stand a railway station. Most people are sitting there, Yugoslavians. But see, they are beautiful. Why not? So, always they have in Vienna Sudbahnhof. Now the Sudbahnhof is finished. It was so nice, and there were people sitting and they were drinking beer or something, why not? Someone said they are drinking alcohol and beer. And I said, "What about you?" How much beer are Austrians drinking? But there is still, in human thinking, one country to another country. And once I said, "No, I will go." They invited me, and I flew. I landed in the capacity of the Belgrade. And there was one woman. She was a great dancer of the, what they said? Yeah, ballet, yeah, on the drums. Yeah, ballerina. She was retired, and she was a great yoga teacher. She wrote a great yoga book, and she invited me, Yasmina Polia. So she invited me, she gave me one hotel, and they said to me, some other people, I don't want to tell, and they said, "You just want to lock your door and turn it open." And I said, "Why?" and next... Morning, my breakfast was in a beautiful hotel in the garden, and after three years, first time I saw the chili, because I was born to eat chilies. In Austria, there were no chilies. So, Yugoslavians and the Turks, and they are... People were so nice to me, And they gave me something, butter, that's called kaimak. I brought two kilos of kaimak, and two or three kilos of chilies. I came by the aeroplane, and I said, "Look how nice these people are," and I can tell you, the most dear, my bhaktas, my friends from the whole of Yugoslavia, and now we have different countries, but they are such people, they are so nice, you can't imagine, it was full. Of the love to everyone and the Adriatic coast, and this, so wherever you go, I was in China, I was in Japan, and in Japan, that is what, what I will eat, and this and that, but people were so good everywhere. Everywhere in the world, people are. Very good. No country is bad, countries, no people is bad, people. If you are bad, then it is yourself, not others. And so, my message of yoga in daily life around the whole world now, and with our... Oh, I'm talking here? Wow, okay, no problem, so... You have my international? They are calling? Yes, mister, I am here. Anyhow, my dear, so now is a time for us. In December, there is nothing to do. There's no crops, everything is harvested, and then people have nothing to do. Then they will drink and fight, and this. So we have this time of Christmas, so everyone thinks more of God. And I wish you a Merry Christmas, and a happy, healthy, prosperous new year, my dear. Thank you, and we shall see God in oneness. We have two kinds of God: the physical God, and that is like every mother has one child, and every father has the child, your mother and father. This, yeah, but they are all happy, similarly. Like different religions, they have all, but at the end, God is one. Every soul is the same. From the ocean comes the fog. It goes up, becomes clouds, again begins to rain, and drop and drop comes together, joined again into the ocean. So we are all one, sons and children of one God, and we should not fight. We should forgive. We have to forgive, and so do not be angry. Do not backbite. Do not talk negative. Do good, get good. Do bad, you will get the bad. So these are the messages, and you can read the Bible, which is giving many, many messages. Or Bhagavad-gītā or Qur'ān or other holy books, there is something to understand what God is. So, my dear all, wish you all the best. God bless you, and we will pray, and this prayer is lead us from dark to light. Lead us from mortality to immortality. Lead us to the oneness, to peace, to harmony, etc.
