This bhajan is from the poetry of viraha that Mahāprabhujī was writing. 'Kavitā' means poetry, and 'viraha' means the suffering of the heart, the longing. He is describing it not in a bad way, but as the belonging for God, the belonging for the Divine, the belonging for Gurudeva. This is the essence of vīra. Swāmījī always says, only the one who is in love knows, only the one who is suffering and longing knows. There were two parrots sitting on a tree, one male and one female. One was the man, and one was the sow. They were quarreling. He said to the man, "O moje drahá, prosím poslouchej mě." These are poisonous fruits; do not eat them. We do not know what is coming in the next second, what will happen. Perhaps death will take you away. Listen to my advice. Concentrate on the name of God. You are eating the fruits of enjoyment, full of ego. Full of pride, you are moving here and there. When one is proud and full of ego, one can see how he or she is walking. But these enjoyments are like a Fata Morgana. You cannot reach them. You cannot enjoy this joy. Swāmījī always says, "The joy of the joy is less than the sorrow of the joy." So we cannot reach this joy. It is like a mirage. This, my darling, this joy you wish to enjoy is unreal. Keep the world behind you. Leave this whole Brahman, this drama of life. Do not turn towards māyā. Keep your back towards māyā and turn your face towards the reality, Mahāprabhujī. Therefore, Gurudeva is giving you satsaṅg. Satsaṅg is the tree of immortality which gives us the fruits of immortality. That is the difference between heaven and hell, and we can decide where we want to go. As Swāmījī described yesterday, even hell is closed for those who are backbiting. We cannot even enter hell. But then the Mena says, "Wait, wait... My dear Sua, I will tell you also something. You talk to me; you should repeat the name of Soham. You have your own tongue to repeat it; it does not cost you anything. You have your own tongue to repeat this mantra of Soham; it costs you no money. You should repeat it. And I tell you, you know the cat, the dad is like a cat, Billy. And this cat of Dad will eat you, he or she. Billy is 'he'. He will finish all the phases of your life. Within one minute, you will see, and he is chewing your skin in his mouth, your skin." 'Pusest' is the means to the 'sūra'. Here, Swāmījī was explaining: the mind is the sūra, the body is the 'kev', and the ātmā is So’ham; the ātmā is the soul. In this Ātmā, you have to realize the immortal peace. You can realize it when there is the Kṛpā, the grace, of Gurudeva. The Mena said to the Sua, "You should get up every day early and do your sādhanā, your mantra and your practice. Do not be so lazy; get up. This garden of the world will one day dry up; everything will dry." Swāmījī explained: "The knees do not go with you anymore. They say, 'My friend, you were walking to places where you should not have walked. I was helping you enough in this life; now we do not want to anymore. You misused us. You must have been talking with us without any feeling of ahiṃsā. You were talking with us without a feeling of ahiṃsā and going to useless places. You did not go to the sacred places where you should have gone. You went sightseeing and sightseeing and sightseeing. You did not look towards yourself. Now we do not want any more.'" And then the ear said, "It is unbelievable. We were waiting so long for the day you would listen only to good things. But you were always searching to listen to negative gossip and criticism. Now we do not want that. We do not want to listen to this stuff. Do what you want, but without us." And another friend said, "We do not want to." So the ears and the eyes said, "We thought you would see the beauty of this world, but you were selfish. You saw only the beauty you wanted to see. Now we do not want anymore." And the tongue said also, "Wait, wait... you made us impure," and so on. So it is said, this worldly garden will dry up one day; this oil is useless. Here, Mahāprabhujī said, "This beautiful human life—who knows if we will get it again." And here Swāmījī explains, we never know what will be after our death. We do not know. Mahāprabhujī says this is the truth. Where there is a holy man, a saint, a yogī, and Gurudeva, there is your pilgrimage place, and there is happiness. All holy scriptures and all the saints speak about this one aim: to understand and realize God. This was translated by Swāmījī in one of his divine satsaṅgs. So, the next bhajan.
