The importance of healthy food

The human body is divided into four parts, as revealed in the Bhagavad Gita.

The head is Brāhmaṇa, the seat of knowledge and the five sense organs. The arms are Kṣatriya, the warrior with strength to protect. The trunk is Vaiśya, the farmer distributing nourishment from intake to liver and body. The legs are Śūdra, impure from walking everywhere yet essential. Purification comes through Anuṣṭhāna, cleansing chakras and prāṇāyāma. The farmer is the greatest scientist, knowing life and harmony. Modern science often disrupts purity, tampering with milk and food. Pure nourishment like mother’s milk and organic food sustains the bodily vehicle. The body is naturally beautiful, crafted by the Divine. No caste exists among humans; such divisions are man-made errors. Animals never discriminate by color or form. The soul is pure, the heart is beautiful, regardless of skin. Nature itself shows balance, like the peacock’s display and the peahen’s wisdom. The teaching is to offer bodily purity at the lotus feet of God. One must honor all body parts and all beings without distinction. Returning to earth, we practice in a beautiful home, singing bhajans.

“Cāturvarṇyaṃ mayā sṛṣṭaṃ... It is not a caste; that caste comes after we are learning.”

“Do not make differences between humans. And similarly, animals too.”

First, we must seek permission from our spiritual lineage. Alakhpurījī bless us with the cosmic world. Devpurījī, protect us from all difficulties. Mahāprabhujī, blaze in our heart. And our beloved Satgurujī, Swāmī Madhavānandjī, sit in our vocal cord. You know Gurujī’s voice, how it is, and all this. Please, guide me. That is always what I pray very quickly whenever I speak. That is how we also say some mantra, but that prayer is real: guide me, protect me, bless me, and guide me to speak. When you begin your yoga sādhanā, whether morning, evening, or noon, whenever you take up your practice, you should worship and bow down with humbleness to the Gurudeva. Then our sādhanā will become very successful. First, for our body—please guide me throughout the whole day and night. There are some people who make one mantra, which you also know very well. It is called: Oṃ Tryambakaṃ Yajāmahe Sugandhiṃ Puṣṭivardhanam. Whatever we do, mentally or otherwise, chant this mantra. Because this mantra is from the Vedas, it is for each and every part of our body. Begin with our hair, then our skin, our nervous system, our glands, our muscles, our bones, our organs, and our joints. Our whole physical being is constructed in such a way that everything we need is present; nothing is missing. What is missing is that knowledge, and that knowledge we cannot get without the Master. We tried to make vegetables and this and that, but without knowledge it fails. Our dear Jayā Devī from Slovakia has been working hard for two years to bring order to the garden, and this year too we have so much in this little garden—organic food, very much. One must know: the best scientist and most knowledgeable is only and only the farmer. He has all knowledge. We do not have it. We have our faculty, one subject, and the rest we do not know. But the farmer knows practically how to give life—when and how—and how to live together with harmony. It is thanks to the farmers. They take care of the children, the wife, and the husband. Besides that, they know how to take care of animals—the cattle, goats, sheep, dogs, cats, and birds. The farmer is the greatest one on this earth. But this is science in this world? You see, they do not know. Nowadays, science is considered something very good. We have electricity, and we have the making of noise—that is also science. I like many of our machines, such as the bulldozer. A bulldozer with one bucket can dig out the earth that would take twenty people. So we can do nice work and everything. But you know, with one bucket to bring that earth out, twenty people lost their jobs and the earth was disturbed more. This is a science, but it is destructive. The farmer is great, but the scientists come between. They do not want to do this and that. Why was he in Australia? An Australian told me that if there is a big farm where a farmer is putting a lot of pesticides, and someone else has an organic farm, the pesticide-using farmer complains to the government. He says that the organic farm is destroying his farm because it brings sand bugs there. So they stopped that. I am not making a joke. There is a city in Australia, Brisbane, and after Brisbane another city, Gold Coast. I was always eager to see if the gold could be pulled out, but there was no gold coast, no gold. Many animals—all kinds of animals—were there in the city. They said that an organic vegetable shop should not be in the open, in front of the road. So there is a sign saying “organic,” but you have to go behind your house to find it. That was told to me three or four times by people from there. So, I do not know these signs. Now they have beautiful technology. You cannot drink—or your children cannot drink—milk from a cow directly milked. Either they will take the cow away, or they will take your child away. You cannot give them that milk. In Europe, thanks to God, we still have many farmers where you can get milk directly. They say that all milk should go to the dairy, and there they do something we do not know. They take the fat out and put some chemicals inside. So people want to have direct milk. But again, the scientists: for drinking, for eating, you have to take what is called drinkable milk. Other milk, which you get directly from the cow, is also available, but it is labeled: “Milk not for drinking, it is only for bathing, not for drinking.” And what happened? Very soon the bathing milk was sold more. In about a year, technology came again. They put some kind of chemical in the bathing milk that people began to drink, so if you drink that washing milk, soon you have Saṅkt Prakṣālan, the idea. Now what can we do? We cannot be free. I am not making a joke, and the government knows what I am talking about because they know it is the truth. There is one person from Australia who can get up and say whether what Swāmījī said is wrong or right. So, please, what is true? Is it a lie or not? Now even they are getting human children and human milk; they are attacking little children so they must give them the other milk. But what a Kali Yuga! There are many, many problems. One of the biggest dairies, the biggest dairy in the world, is in New Zealand. From Europe, milk goes to New Zealand. They are making a big, big company. From Holland, tons and tons are shipped, like the big petrol you are bringing. So, what is coming in the milk, we do not know. You can look at how people are thinking, looking at me. How nice our faces are! Look at our yoga people—so beautiful looking. And Australia? You will not have like this. Nor Indians. Anyway, why am I talking about this? It is like this: Our body is divided into four parts. One is Brahma, called Brāhmaṇa. That means our brain, our internet, everything. But if you feed it with drugs, alcohol, meat, etc., then this human quality is gone. Maybe you become very weak. Cāturvarṇyaṃ mayā sṛṣṭaṃ... It is not a caste; that caste comes after we are learning. So in the Bhagavad Gītā, it is written by Kṛṣṇa. It is called Brāhmaṇa, and that is our knowledge. These are all our Jñānendriyas: eyes, nose, ears, mouth, and skin—the five knowledge indriyas. So we say, “Oh, this is a great person. He has great knowledge,” etc. This is called a Brāhmaṇa. Then the second is called Kṣatriya. Kṣatriya is like our army, so that means our hands. Bhujja, we call it Bhujja. And these hands have the strength to protect our body, our family, our friends, etc. So this is called the Kṣatriya, what they call the royals, because they have power. Then the trunk of the body is called Vaiśya, the farmer. Everything in our trunk distributes into many qualities. First comes our intake, and from there it distributes and goes into the liver. And we—you, me, all I know, and you know more than me—our liver is a faculty. There is a company for medicine, and they are making so many medicines. So our liver has all kinds of what we need in the body. But our liver says, “You are—I need pure petrol, but you are putting not pure petrol but diesel.” When you do not have diesel properly, it is like kerosene. So this means what is given for the liver: pure drinking water. Second, mother’s milk. What is a mother? All who give milk are our mothers. Only a mother can produce milk; no company can do that. The cow, the male, they cannot make milk. The bull does not make milk. Your father does not make milk. But the mother, even the animals, gives milk. Now people try to say, “Give the milk with money,” selling the milk. The law says: by law, the police will come and take the child away because it is the nation’s child. So you know how much we are doing? Let us come further. Our lungs are very, very powerful for oxygen. We are all depending on the farmer; the great one is the farmer. If the farmer will not give anything eatable, then this Brāhmaṇa will dry slowly, slowly. There is nothing. So this is called the one who provides for us, our father. What is that Śūdra? Śūdra means impure. It means your feet are everywhere. Your legs will walk for you everywhere. You will walk in pure water, in dirty water, in the mud, on the grass. So, Brāhmaṇa, what will you do? Even the dirt, go on this way. These are the four parts of the human body, as read in the Bhagavad Gītā. Very nicely, clearly written by Bhagavān Kṛṣṇa. So these are Brāhmaṇa, Kṣatriya, Vaiśya, and Śūdra. Now, all this is yours. If someone cuts off your big toe, you would be so sad, or all toes. On one hand, not a leg. When there is a little cancer in your toes, you can sleep in your room. The next day, we will bring it back. What happens? One leg is taken by the dogs, the other by something. So, my dear, do not make differences between humans. And similarly, animals too. This is that first knowledge: that science is the best science. The rest, where you make something, is not good. You remember, our body... The earth is okay, but all is my creation. So think how we are, and this is what we are doing: Anuṣṭhāna. In our Anuṣṭhāna, we are purifying the whole body. Chakra Śodhana, Prāṇāyāma Śodhana, Prāṇāyāma Śobhana—this is everything. So this first achievement is called our body, and we are so beautiful. We make it more beautiful, here and here. You saw yesterday Krishna’s mother. Though she was in a big, covered prison, with no one allowed near her, still she was built nicely. I was observing everything—that was only drama, but anyhow. Our body is beautiful, but after an operation, the doctor will cut you like this, and you say, “Can I see my father?” No problem, they give you all green cloth, gloves, and everything. We do not know what is happening, so God nicely made the cloth. God made you a beautiful body, yet still we are not satisfied. So we have nice cloth, still not satisfied. Then we do our hair nicely. I have to say, human to human, that men are very silent. If a man comes with makeup, everything, then his wife will laugh and laugh, saying, “What happened to you?” You see, they do not give us makeup. So the man said, “Darling, for me, you are making makeup. You are making it, but you can’t see it. I see. So you are making it for me. And you don’t want me?” Yes, how they are happy together. So, my dear, the Brāhmaṇa (the head), the Bhujja (the warrior, the arms), the trunk is the farmer (Vaiśya), and these hands and legs, who carry us here and there—the human body is divided into four parts. Kṛṣṇa said brāhmaṇa, kṣatriya, vaiśya, and śūdra. Then does it mean Kṛṣṇa will also say, “Then cut me in four parts”? We are, you know, yesterday everybody was giving kisses to the holy feet of Kṛṣṇa—Charanāmṛta. So it is like this. Therefore, it is finally said that out of 8.4 million different creatures, one is human. And they said a human is human—no caste, no this and that. It does not matter if one is tall and one is smaller, one is white, one is black. Why not? My soul is pure. My heart is pure. My being is beautiful, and God gave me this beauty of black skin. You cannot imagine how beautiful I am. So, we are all human. It is only humans who have the problems. Now you have 50 cows. One is red, one is black, one is white. Does the cow say, “We don’t want you, white”? And the white will not say, “I don’t want double colors.” No, not at all. It is the Rākṣasas who do this. So, in this way, to purify our body, it does not matter what people say. Let them be like that. But I want to offer purity at the lotus feet of God. So we shall understand and not make differences. Everywhere, every nature is good. Let us say, in humans, the ladies make themselves beautiful, and they are beautiful—why not? But you see the peacock. The male peacock is beautiful, and the female said, “I am more beautiful than you, because you are carrying this beauty for me. Do not be proud,” she said to her husband, “and you know, if you are too proud of your beauty, within ten days I will take all your wings and feathers.” He said, “No, no... I’m sorry. You are always equal. I am always changing. You are great; I am changing and changing.” So in nature, everywhere is good. Every tree has its beauty. Everything is very good. So thank you. Today, we spoke on the four parts of the human. We could talk the whole day, more and more. Then we would need a doctor, and after the doctor, a surgeon for different things. And now, these modern doctors are beautiful; in Latin it comes from Āyurveda. The Sanskrit language is in Āyurveda, and that is also coming very close to Sanskrit and Latin. So we need all, and we are here. But we want that God leads us where we want to be, in one place. We do not want to go to Brahmaloka and meditate there, and then tell you I want to come back. Our earth is more beautiful, no matter how it is. But if there are problems, it is our mistake, so let us come back. I hope we will come here again. We will sing our bhajans, do Anuṣṭhān in a beautiful home.
