What Incarnation means

The one soul is our origin and destination, and Śiva is its unmanifest source. There is one who was not born from mother or father; that self-manifested one is Śiva. From the endless sound of "Eko'haṁ bahusyām"—I am one, I will multiply—the creation unfolded. First came sound, then light, then air, water, and earth: the five elements. All life, movable and unmovable, emerged from these. We are all of one origin, one soul, like waves are of the ocean. This soul is within all beings and even within each cell of our body. It is genderless and unified. Our individual lives are like water droplets: evaporating, forming clouds, and returning as rain to the ocean of the one soul. Our karma influences this journey. The body is a kingdom of many lives, and the soul is its king. At death, the central soul departs, and the destiny of the smaller lives within follows it. We must care for creation, like water, which is life itself. Do not block its flow. The tongue has great power to bless or curse, to enjoy or bring disease. Master it. You are that Svayambhū. Realize your oneness through meditation.

Devaiśvara Mahādevakī, Ārādya Bhagavān Śrīdīp Nārāyaṇa Mahāprabhujī kī, Alakpurī Jī Mahādevakī, Satguru Svāmī Mādhāvanajī Bhagavān, Satya Sanātana Dharma kī. Dear sisters and brothers, welcome to our Vienna center, Yogandī Life. Today is the day of our Gurudev, Swami Madhavānandajī. Yesterday, I was contemplating: what is an incarnation? What is birth? There is one who is not born from a mother and not from a father. Only that one can be called an incarnation, and that one is called Svayambhū. Svayambhū is generally said to be Śiva. Śiva was not born; he manifested himself. There are many, many lokas and many, many yugas. Śiva came from the Satyugas. If we look at time through Google or Jyotiṣa, the question arises: who begins to count or speak of time? Who spoke about time? No other creature counts this, but we humans begin to count. Once I asked Radha, "Radha, please, can you look and count from these times?" It was such that we cannot even count how many zeros there are. I have forgotten this counting; I cannot do it. But we have this, and I think we should count it. It should be known. Anyhow, it is said, and many times I have told what is written in the Vedas. But how was it? What was it? Nāda means resonance, sound, and that resonance, that sound, is endless. That resonance is oneness, endless, and that is called... there is no end, but again, in that space there is also no end, no night, no light, everything nothing, but there is something. Therefore, there was a sound, and that sound said, "Eko'haṁ bahusyām: I am one, and I will multiply. I am the one, and now I, from one, I will..." become endless. But who to whom? It is said because it is Śiva itself. So first is sound, and that sound is Ānanda, and even the sound of the sun. We know that science, scientists talk about this resonance being Oṃ. And Om is in the sun. There is a written note now; we have it somewhere in Google or somewhere. You can call this back, and there is a sound of Om. So it is said: from the sound, first is sound. After the sound begins the light. That may be called fire, heat, or light. Resonance, and then the light. We can see the sunlight. The sun began, or we call it fire, agni. Sound, then comes the light, which we also call jyoti. Now, jyoti is a very small thing. Like when it is dark in our room and we light a candle, this is the flame, the jyoti. After the sound comes the air. Sound in the fire, into the sound again. After this comes the water. And then, after, the earth. The sound, the light, the air, the water, and the earth. At that time, we call them the five elements. And all five elements, we say God or whatever, it is how we developed as one jīva, the soul. But before that, "eko'haṁ bahusyām," I am one, and now I will become endless. With that, then Śiva comes through his element. This is Śiva's body, the space, which we can see: the sound, the space, the light, the air, the water, and the earth. This is our life; we came into this life—not only humans, but many other creatures. And not only what we call movable, but also the unmovable, the vegetation. But in vegetation also, they are walking. It is said when you go to the Sahara, there is a kind of bush that rolls and rolls from here; in one day, maybe some kilometers, depending on the wind. So this whole thing is... So at that time it is said, Śiva appeared, and therefore he said, "I am one and will multiply myself now." This is Śiva, so he has no mother and no father, but I am myself. After that, all we are. Here, we can say the swami who incarnates; after that comes incarnation. So from that, in this car, in this, now one after many things coming, and that we all know very well. Now we humans, we humans are giving good things, or the same thing we can tell as bad things. All incarnations of God who are born from the mother's womb, that is a birth. And others who are not—that was only one, and that is Śiva. That's it. After that, many, many yugas, kalpas, after that, many, many... Śiva was different, like this we can say. But that only one before that, and we are all of one origin. We are all one, and in this one gives the creation, and there is water. The water, in this... some in the German language they don't tell, they don't, they say only water. But all this Czech, Slovakia, Croatia, and either Russia, and this all they call boda jivot, boda jivot. Water is life, and life is water. And we said further, in other Asian, we said "jal" means water, and "Jagadīś" means God. Which Jagadīś, in this our earth, which is developing or coming as the life, and the life. Now, a symbolic example: our ocean, the big ocean. This ocean is a jīva, living, and waves of the ocean are coming and going. Is the ocean also inhaling and exhaling life? The ocean is a living ocean. I think somewhere in the Middle East there is one ocean that slowly, slowly now became dead. There is no life inside, and now it is a problem. Can it be that we, humans, now present, so-called, are the great landed ones? Many scientists have landed on this, that this... but we are consuming water unnecessarily. We shall let flow our water; what comes to us, it should flow back into the ocean. But we people have made so many... what we call the dams, one after another, one after another, we are blocking the water. Now, for a limited space, you are using this water from them, but after one kilometer far or two kilometers far, then there is no water. All vegetation is dead. So we see, go to the Adriatic coast. This is the best one. We can look how far the water has gone back, and we are taking more earth near, and water is going back. And so it is said, how many thousands of kilometers the ocean is going back. What do you mean? How we have to see the whole globe and then see how many beaches came out? So, slowly, slowly, life will die, the fish, etc., etc. But we humans think we are God, and we will do everything. We will produce the water. But how? Anyhow, this is the subject now. Ocean, let's say one ocean. All seven oceans, we can say one ocean. One ocean. Jīva of the ocean. But we know there are more living creatures in the ocean than on the earth. Okay. Let's talk of the water. And now we are here, all sitting. We all, we have one soul, our one soul, and then we said we would go somewhere and we will come to God, or what? That is, in the last about one year, I am very much coming to the subject in myself, in my thinkings, so: We all are one. We are all one. It doesn't matter, the human or reptilian or the birds or any. There is a soul, jīva. Bodha jīva, jīva... Life, they are all one. We are all one. Now, how so? It is said, when we look to the ocean and go somewhere from height, they will order near. There is some, they are making a big building, let's say about 20, 28, or 20... uh, what? These steps now, you come to the balcony. Balcony next, this time you should go. I saw myself personally in, uh, where was it? Hollywood? No, not Hollywood, sorry. It's okay. I am now old. My thoughts are being... yeah, this is Hawaii, and... In Hawaii, there's even a beach, what is called that beach, Waikiki, and there, on the near beach, now there are many, many buildings, about many, many floors. I was with one of my disciples from Croatia, no, sorry, or Slovenia, and the professor, he's now. So, we had some problem with the aeroplane, so we came and they gave us a hotel. Then again, we were looking from the veranda, and people are swimming, children and all, but I see that in the water, steam is coming up, like from our cooking pot, when we see the steam comes out really very clear. I said, "Oh, what is this fire inside?" And then, because from the heat the steam comes up, now the ocean becomes the steam, and this steam has also the little, little... drops, very little, fine. Now, when we say it, it is mostly in the winter time. When we go, it is a driving from here to Lynch, then what we call that fog, yeah? But that is little, little drops. So, the whole ocean itself has the drops, and the... steam has a drop, and that again begins more, more fine, like a gas. And in the gas, high, so the going up and up and up. We all know, we have been in an aeroplane, and we see that through the clouds our flight is going, and the flight doesn't make... like this, sometimes, little finally, otherwise, an aeroplane is going through the clouds that always also has many, many, many drops. This again, many, many days, comes together and comes down and becomes big drops and rain, falling everywhere, flowing in the direction we know. We come to a little creek, and to the river, and to the ocean. This jīva, this is a jīva, the soul. Similarly, we humans and other animals, when our body, five elements, are separating, then that soul, which is, we have it, it is only one. Now we have many, many theories, many, many theories that we are going, so... here and there, someone said in heaven, some said in hell, somewhere elsewhere, and so on and so forth. But still, this soul is one. Water is one water, but in all of us, we have the waters. So destiny, so here is coming the destiny with our... good karma or bad karma, etc., when this water will, let's say, for example, when it will come again to the ocean. And some clouds go to the Sahara or somewhere in the middle of Australia. It rains sometimes and it disappears. But disappearing where? With the heat again going up, so we are our soul. And now our soul is with us, my soul, your soul, etc. Now we think, "I am the one." No. We are like one big universe. We have so many jīvas within us. Our living cells in the body are jīvas. It doesn't matter if it is big or small. Fire is fire. A tiny piece of the fire goes on the grass, and it burns. It becomes very big or small. So, what fire is a fire? And so, we have in our body many, many jīvas. Enjoy your life with yourself, with all others. In our blood, a little drop of the blood, there is your jīvas. Your life is inside, and one is which we call the big ātmā, ātmā, paramātmā. So, there is one beautiful bhajan from... Gurujī, of Mahāprabhujī's disciple Brahmanānjī or the Śivanānjī, very nicely said, very nicely, "Śrī Guru Ātmā Paramaha, Ātmā Puruṣottama, Sakala Jagake Antara Jāmī." So when we see in our body, there are each and every cell, and all they have what we call these different elements. Water we have, fire we have, earth we have, space we have, everything. And when we will go, all will go with us, our souls. Yes, how nice you are. You are the king of this your body, and the whole kingdom is there. Where are you thinking that I am one? No, no... We are all one, and don't think that I will always be as a human. Yes, you will always be human as long as we are in the body, but how will you feel that consciousness? In that, this all we, we may bring your all into the Brahman, and that Brahman is that is coming so far, so high that they cannot come anymore down. Otherwise, like a cloud, a cloud goes up, but finally the cloud has to come down because of what we call gravity. And when we try to go above gravity, this air will not go, water will not go, but if it will be, then it disappears, Hari Om. So, my dear, incarnation of God. So, we have to meditate. Yoga in daily life, you know, now, I was beginning with my father in 19 and some years before. And then I came to Gurujī in 1965. In 1965, Gurujī began to give me this knowledge, and I am still working. I am still a little soul, and my soul becomes bigger and bigger, but it is not that. My soul is getting slowly later and later and later. What does it mean? To die. And again comes the new thanks to our mother, and thanks to the father. Father gives the seed and says, "Hari Om Tarsat." It's your karma. Yes. He will run away. Go. But the animals or the humans, the mother will carry this soul. Soul into the soul, in the soul, into the soul all. And that's what we will say. To whom should I say? Who is incarnation? Incarnation is only, and that, "I am Brahman." So all our souls have the destiny, karma. My soul is in the body, and your soul is in the body, in the body. Your water, in your flesh, in your glands, everywhere you have life inside, and it is yours. And so when your soul, the big soul, will go out, the life of the old souls will go with you, like the queen of the honey, the honey queen. When she flies away, all the bees leave everything there, eggs and etc., and they will fly behind that queen. Similarly, our destiny is there and is going with this kind of disease or this kind of that kind of karma, but it is still: where will it go and where to live? So it is what? That God or the Brahman, or who, how created this? We are living planets and others are not living; they are only fluttering there. But we are here on the earth and in the water. Similarly, our Gurudevs were also born or incarnated; we call the spiritual name "incarnation." Otherwise, born, etc., etc. So Gurujī is still giving me the knowledge, sometimes giving good knowledge. Sometimes I don't want to tell you what it is, but also Gurudev is there. So Gurudev, Guru is the Guru. Without Guru, all your cells will be suffering. They are not going away. This flesh goes out, but there will be also... when we put it in the earth, many, many of your own cells are developing under the earth, and therefore it is said, best is that we, as humans, we should cremate it, fire burn the whole body. Then it is said, all cells are happy, all they are happy. That will go all with us again, with your ātmā, your soul. And when you go, note, then you are all the times with others, so you are gone, and some part of you is in the graveyard. And so we go to the graveyard, and we pray, and this, but after some... time, they are also gone. They are searching us again. It will come, but it's with you, and mine is with me. One day, we will come again to the oneness. So, my dear one, you are Svayambhū, you are the Svayambhū, Śiva. And Śiva, what we call the Śakti. The Śakti is different after that. Śakti was not born like Śiva itself, after... that doesn't matter, it is said, because this is a creation, continue, you. Otherwise, there is what you call the soul. Jīva will say the soul. Never think and never say, "This is a woman's soul and this is a man's soul." That is not like this. They are the same. They are the same. We have a difference in gender, but not in the soul, like this. There it is, but unfortunately, many people, they with the thumb press the females down, and that is not good. And the males are mostly, mostly, uh, fighting like the, what you call, the monkey. When monkey mother give the male, the father, or who doesn't matter, he will... kill it immediately, and if it's a female, let it go. You see, in the lions, they are all the five females. They are many, many, but one lion is like there, and if another comes, he will kill. They are fighting in such a way. So, this is in... that, but inside the soul is the same. So, my dear, this we can only and only meditate and look within ourselves. The science is different, and this reality of life is different. So we have to come there, and so when you can become a great master or great saint, yes, you can be a great saint, but at the same time you have also the lower cells of life. So we are getting with, we are getting with. So, I was thinking that I should collect these thoughts from Gurujī's bhajans, Mahāprabhujī's bhajans, and our Gurudev's. And you know, how many miracles came through the Gurujī. Because somebody asked me, "Swamiji, you are always, you and Mahāprabhujī, said about Mahāprabhujī's miracles, but what is with Holī Gurujī?" I said, "Of course," and just now Holī Gurujī was in Europe. Vienna, Czech, and there were women, my disciples. They are people about 35-40 years old, and so they didn't get children. We were there, and the couple said, "Swamiji, can you tell Gurudev if they can get some children?" Morning, next day, Ori Gurujī said, "Don't worry. I will send you one son." And I said, "Yes, Gurujī, thank you. Please, they want to have a son." Mostly, we are 90%, we say, "Son, please." I don't know what women have, which kind of sin they made in their life. Yeah, so they are now... But now, the male is getting less and less. No, there is a very interesting, again, this subject. I don't want to come now. After some, uh, one year or two years, or his one son was born, and now the parents died, but the son is still here. He's a young man, and his name, when I, when he was born, I told Gurujī, they want... to have a name, and so Gurujī gave him the name. What is the name? Janaka, the king Janaka, the father of Sītā, Hanumanjī's or Rāma's wife. And now Janaka is here. It is his name, his name, his parent's name. So Gurujī gave the blessing. They got this one son, similarly one in Bratislava, and of course, many in India. So Gurujī had, but Gurujī never said no. I will say no. Always he pushed to Mahāprabhujī, and Mahāprabhujī said to Devapurījī. So it is like this. So our holy Gurujī, what we call, has many, many, many miracles. But they will not say that we make a miracle. Bāchchan. Bachchan means from your mouth, what you speak, that comes. And you know, we are saying sometimes this person, uh, here also gives an answer, but a very bad word. We used to call, "You will die," or this or that. Curse, and so the curse, how it comes then? If you don't believe others, then how can you? Why are you afraid about your digital? It's cursed you. So it is coming from our tongue. This morning I had a lecture on the tongue. My God, this tongue, the tongue. The tongue is very, very beautiful and good, but it can be bad. And whatever you want to enjoy, we want to enjoy, mostly or 90 percent, is the tongue: enjoying drinking, eating ice cream, this, that, everything with the tongue. And when, after the taste of the tongue, we come to the vocal cords, till there, no more taste is there. Neither ice cream nor bitter or anything is gone, only who is enjoying? Who is enjoying in your life? The tongue, yes. And be careful with the tongue, and so the tongue giving you blessing, and tongue can give you curse. So, our tongue. Be careful with this, so there are many, many different things. So always you are saying, "I will not give you the curse, but if there is something, you will do." In the Yugoslavian time, someone said, "We will forgive you, but we will not forget you." Yes, the people were talking there. So we will forgive you, but we will not forget you. That's it. So tongue, oh tongue. I will write further. We will write about the tongue. And please, can you write something about the tongue? That could be, yes. Let's have today one book. You will give me, you will write, and I will send my book because I gave you. So this is, let's see, the tongue. Rādhā is a good subject. There is no one, I think, till now no one has. I have written a book, "Tongue," and it may have... So, please write already as a copyright, okay? Yes. Until next, my, my birthday, you bring me this all, okay? The tongue, tongue. So, only the tongue can destroy ourself or make it everything. That's... But I told a story about the teeth and the tongue. They have the same name. The tongue is also a tongue, and the teeth are also the teeth. They are fighting, Zohri, Biggie, oh my god. And tongue said, "I am enjoying, but you have to chew." Many of these other, very nice stories today. Next time I will tell it. Or should I tell it now again? No, three people know, so I don't want to read it. Okay. So the one tooth has a very big pain, like our president, you know, but he's very calm. And the tongue always goes there to clean this tooth. And the tooth says to the tongue, "Please don't disturb me. I'm very painful." Again, time goes there. Say, "Please don't disturb me." Painful again. Then he said, "Be peaceful and away. Follow me, otherwise, you know, I will bite you." She said, "You can't bite me. Cut that." Similarly, it was quick, more inside masala. I will not give you anymore? So the tooth said, "I have a union, and my union, we have 32 teeth, and just with that, in just a second, we can completely destroy you. See, I have 36 thanks. It all, the 36 teeth, if thanks it, if I can say one word, all six." Thirty-six teeth will come out like this. If I tell you, then don't say that I'm not powerful. So if I tell a bad word, immediately all will go out. Good words, then everything is okay. So please, every day, worship and pray to your tongue. Dear my tongue, please, please, whatever it is, let me swallow it in. Yes, but when we swallow in, then we have all diseases: cancer, all glands, everything. There are problems, problems because of the tongue. Why? Eating. Only, for example, eating. The alcohol is only with the tongue. After liquid goes in, but you are destroying your livers, these, that, that. So that's why it is said that alpāhāra, little food, good food, sāttvic food, that's why the yogīs were doing. So we are ill because we are the slave of our tongue.
