Confidence

Faith and single-pointed focus are essential on the spiritual path. Without trust, all practices are futile, like abandoning your own car for another. Disciples must hold to their given mantra with confidence; otherwise, they will be cheated and remain restless. Many are distracted by other masters offering miracles or false promises, revealing a lack of self-faith. Everything needed is within; one must develop in the spiritual womb. Do not seek temporary comforts or jump between paths. Concentrate on one practice to gain everything; chasing many leads leads to loss. The ten senses must be understood and controlled through yoga. Stay faithful to your one path, practice humbly, and do not be concerned with external signs like astrology. Do good and help others.

"Ek sajye sab sajye, try one, you will get all. And when you try to get for all, you will get all."

"Do good, get good; do bad, get bad. That is it."

This is what I said: if you meditate, concentrate, practice, perform prāṇāyāma, read holy books—do everything—but there is no trust, it is futile. It is like driving your car on the road and, when another car passes, you try to jump into that car and let your own car go on. Then you get out of that one and jump to another. What is that? If you are a disciple, you have taken the mantras. Then, even if you die, it does not matter, for you will have this path. Otherwise, you will be cheated. You will be cheated by many, many, and still you will be wrong. Again, you will have to come to our paramparā. But there is no faith here, and here is what we call fear. One's stomach gets diarrhea or constipation when a little child, a baby, is coming. Yet this child is sleeping; this child has no worries, nothing. Similarly, we have to come to that state. We are like in the womb of the mother. Otherwise, you will remain in that [restless state] for many years, and it will be something. But of course, I do not want to humiliate you. I am giving you one step more. How nice it is, my bhaktas, at midnight, looking at life and how it is, and this one day more. Very good. Midnight. That is called what we call card playing. 200 dollars. Go. Not go, dollar. The... what? Austrians... Euro. Euro means jule. So, no confidence, no confidence in your path. Otherwise, you would be somewhere great, but you are sitting here or here or here. Now, if some other master were to come here, like Sai Baba, and he threw money here and there and there, I would be sitting here with two or three persons: Vivek Purī, Ānandī, and Umāpurī. All the rest would go. Somebody sends you the S and test and do, and then will come a flying master. They let Sai Baba back, you are flying. So that means a human has no self-confidence. Therefore, have self-confidence in you. Everything is in you. You have to come to the mother’s womb. Okay, it is in the mother’s body. But you still have to grow yourself in the womb. The mother is only keeping you in this nice womb, but it is your destiny if you will be born with good eyes or blind eyes. It is all in you, my dear. Similarly, we are here, but you have to get developed. When I talk, how many... Years talking, how many years? And still you have confidence, otherwise you would not come. And you are my very faithful disciple; that is why I am telling you. Otherwise, I would say, "Oh, gentlemen, good, you are very nice people. I am very happy to see you, sir. How are you? Good?" When another child comes, the parents will give this, others they will give. "Do you want to eat something? Do you want to eat this?" They are only coming for a temporary child. But for your own child, you are giving education. Do not do this. Do not do this. Another one will say, "Okay, no problem. You are not that one. Do not worry." Yes, I do worry. I do worry for you, and that is why I am telling you. My whole world is listening now. Because some are on the surface and nothing. There are some masters, maybe. They are talking very, very good, and you want to go and see that as a master. Even if they do not really see you physically for two or three months, and even if they cannot touch your hand, still you think, "Oh, God." And then, confused, you come back. But our door is always open. Every time you come, you talk to me, you give me the letter, you may ask questions, yes or no. But you think, "Our master is okay. It is very good, but what is my destiny?" Someone came. It was about already five years, or four years. We were in Croatia, had a big seminar. And one person came, "Please, can I have a darśan of Swāmījī?" So I said, "I will see you in India." And again, two persons said, "But he wants to see, to have a darśan here." I said, "Well, I have my diamond, and after two days we will meet." And then these two people, they come with that person. He says, "Swamijī, I want to come to your darśan." Okay, I was talking. And then what happened? Vivek Purī knows, many of you know, and those two girls were there, or one man and one girl, and telling everybody, "This, my master, is very best in astrology, very best in astrology." Is it true? Not true. And how much money? Got it. And then finally, he was telling, "I can give you that self-realization, because I know in your destiny you have to come to my āśram in India." And what is his āśram? Only his house. So many people were confused and went away. That he will get a very good husband. Mostly the women are girls. Because girls are so pure. Very humble. Born to have a very nice husband, and then he said, "Yes, this and that and that." Now they are somewhere else. Boy did not say, "Can you show me some girl?" I do not know why the boys do not tell me. The boys do not say, "Swamiji, will I have a good wife or will I have a wife?" Boys are happy and very confident, and I know my wife or my girl will come, definitely. But often, many girls are coming the wrong way. So that person is showing this story: my hand, my hand, my... hand, everything. So, this is the meditation I am telling you. That is why I saw the children go outside. So this is your meditation. Therefore, it is said, there is one very nice poem. When you practice one, you will get all. And when you will try to do all, then you will get lost in all. That was always Gurujī used to say, Mahāprabhujī said, "Ek sajye sab sajye," try one, you will get all. And when you try to get for all, you will get all. There was an example, a very nice example: one dog, let us say a free dog, not from one house, but everywhere, and every person gives something. Dogs were only for the street dogs. Then all dogs were happy and everything was good. But now you have taken the dogs into your house, and they have lost the quality of the dog. The forest dog and the house dog, or the house pet. The dog that lives with us in the household is actually like a pet. It is different from a wild dog. It is a completely different energy. So one dog got a piece of bread from some bakery. In the evening, when the baker closed the bakery, he gave some leftovers to the dog. The big dog took the whole bag of bread and ran away with it. Because other dogs will come and take it. So he was running and running and running, and there was a little pond. So there are the dogs, there are dogs, so he wanted to go through water. And when the dog came near the water, there was a dog inside. Who? The dog said. So the dog sees his face, but he cannot say that it is me. And then the dog had the bread in its mouth. Dog said, "I will take this bread also." So the dog was looking, very alert. Peacefully, and the dog was also peacefully. But it is his own reflection in the water, and then the water was deep. So he jumped to take the bread out from the other. So he said, when he opened his mouth, his own bread went out. He lost the bread. If you would have taken only one, you would have got everything. And if you are doing many things... You lost everything, so please keep one thing. It is also a question of the now. The humans, the families, the husband, wife, girl, boys, all are the same. Husband, wife, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, everything is the same. Pray, both husband and wife, that you will have a happy life, happy children, and that you will be successful. Especially in meditation and spirituality. Do not try this and that and that. We are all good. Look, there are three couples sitting beside three parasols, and they are all three couples. They have two, three, two, three children, and all three couples, they are happy. Their children are happy. They are happy for their children. You see in the park, so couples are there, very happy. Now, you think that I will take her husband away? No. So this is also our spirituality, our faith, our path. And so you have seen the Alak Purījī. You know how long we were thinking, and I was myself, because I want to know where is Devpurījī. It was the Holy Gurujī, Mahāprabhujī, Devpurījī. And where is it now? Everybody said Devpurījī was great, and this and that, and many. But no one said who his master is, so I want to search for that. And somehow our Dr. Shanti, she was searching for something in the Himalayas. She did not go to search for Devpurījī and Alakpurījī. But I said to Shanti, if you go, then see where is Alak Purījī and so and so. And Shanti got this, her thought that yes, that is the best way, and so it took her 12 years, and we did, she did the cave of Alak Purī Jai, and also the Dev Purī Jais. I do not know if it was Alec Purīḍe’s cave or not. We do not know if it was Alec Purīḍe’s cave, but then we got evidence. From there and after, in the old scriptures, there is evidence. And even evidence in what we call in Śrīmad Bhāgavatam and many, many other holy books. And Mahāśiva Purāṇa is also Alak Purī’s name. And also Kavi Kālidāsa, a poet, very great. Kavi Kālidāsa, a poet, Kavi Dāsa, and he was about 2300 years. He lived about 2300 years ago, and he wrote a book, and the book is called Meghadūta. Megha means clouds. Dūta means the messenger. The other part of the word means "message." So he was sending the message through the clouds. And so this book is available in English also, maybe other languages. In many or big universities, there are his books. That is called Kālidāsa. So then we got one step more. Of course, Alak Purījī has many, many millions of disciples, I do not know. And there, where our cave is, that is called Alakāpurī Glaciers and the kingdom. And where the cave is located, the whole area is called Alakāpurī Glacier and its kingdom. So the story is about it, and it is written about it. There is a river called the Alagpurī River, but he had one disciple, and her name was Nandā. And Nanda was that time of Śiva, and that time the temple was already of the Nandadevī. And when Pārvatī wanted to marry Śiva, it was not easy, but someone told her to go to the Nanda forest. Provoditi svoju sādhanu, ostani tamo, bit će. And so, Nanda Devī, that is a very big story, I will not tell you, but she said to my Gurujī, Alak Nanda, Alak Purījī, "I want my name should be within the river." And that is why the name Alaknanda, Alaknanda River, and one side is the Bhagavatī River. When both come together, Bhagavatī and Alaknanda, then it becomes the pure Gaṅgā. And so Devpurījī was with Alagpurījī, and Alagpurījī appeared to him. Dr. Shanti said she had once or twice, in her visions, beautiful in daytime, the Alag Purījī’s darśan. Dr. Shanti said that in his daily life he had a wonderful vision, i.e., Darśan Alagpurījī, twice. And I had two or three times. And then he appeared many times to me on his glaciers, and in his vision. So in that way is our paramparā, our generation, one after another, Alak Purījīs, and now we are here. Many went to the Himalayas, to Ālāpurījī, and some went to Devpurījī. So Devpurījī’s height is about 4,000, between 4,000 and 5,000. And Alagpurījī is 3,650 meters high. So, there this river begins. So, we made a big, big research on it. And Śāntī stayed there in Badrināth. And she is writing something according to her ideas, her visions. But it is European mentality, and mine is a different mentality. So, how to bring that Master, that Alag Purījī? I am searching. Shanti is searching also, because she is not sure. Again, when I am talking, she says, "No, no, like this and like that." And I am sure. So, the book she is writing, she is very good, very nice, but still her book is a little bit lacking in confidence. Only the glory of the Himalaya, that is true. And myself, I do not care about the Himalayas. And not any rivers. I want that. Alak Purī Jaya. So it was a Śiva time, Satya Yuga. So it is there. We had a long... I am fourth time, I think I was there three times or four times. So, I was in Badrinath once by helicopter, and once I was driving with a tourist, but to Alagpurījī I came four times. And you should come there. But when you are there, coming and again coming back, and then you are taking, can you see my book and what it is? Then it is nothing. When you are there, then you are already Brahmaloka. Now you should only do one thing: live happy and healthy. That is all. Do our mantra. Alag Purījī has given everything. But again, you go to the other step, from one river to another river. It is not easy to merge into one. Then you are gone again. So this is a meditation, you understand me? Or not? That is it. So this is how you have your ten indriyas, and these ten indriyas, jñāna indriyas and karma indriyas, are within us. So that is why Gurujī said very nicely in one of his bhajanas. These are the ten indriyas, the ten horses. And you know the beautiful, strong, new horses. Then you know all ten horses have their power. So five are the karma indriyas and five are the jñāna indriyas. So, jñāna, and this jñāna is also five jñānas, it is very hard, very difficult to control. Eyes are different. Ears are different. Smells are different. Tastes are different. Skin feelings are different. Yes. Then karma indriyas. What karma are we doing? That is very, very... it is also like a horse. You have to keep it in control. After that, then we see, "Who is my Ātmā?" Still, we have not controlled and understood our Jñānendriyas and Karmendriyas. Jñāna means that you can see, so we see with our eyes, but other indriyas cannot see, that is it. Hearing, that is jñāna indriyas, we are hearing. Similarly, smelling, they smell, immediately you know what is that. And karmendriyas, they are blind, they only have temptation and the vision. When jñānas and karmas come together, then you are lost. Because your eyes, you see now what your jñānendriya is doing. When you see your mother, how do you feel? When your little babies, how do we feel? When father is coming, how do you feel? Nice. Your brother, grandmother, or you see some other, you see a beautiful... Boy, but boy say, "No, no, we are not beautiful, women are women." Now, why? Females think that men are beautiful, and men say that women are beautiful. When both are beautiful, then there is a crashing. Then your jñāna is gone. Yes, and your temptation is gone. And there we are in the river, going. Therefore, yoga is that which can lead us, and will lead us. And we have to, with the five indriyas, we have to enjoy. And we have to have jñāna indriya and karma indriya. Why did God otherwise give us this? After these indriyas, there are different, more things in our body. So therefore, this meditation, it is called satsaṅg meditation. Today, I told you satsaṅg meditation, and all your concentration was here. In other meditations, you could call that, "My dog is at home, he needs to go outside." Visit, meditate, feel, concentrate. My boy, my boyfriend, is playing somewhere else with others. I hope he will come home. Sitting here, you are not here. You are there. But now, in this meditation, your Jñāna Indriyas were so brilliant. And everything was here, and so is this again. Try one, and you will get everything. And when you get all, you will lose all. Therefore, do. And we have our Ālagpurījī now finally and Devpurījī, and we saw Devpurījī’s many, many miracles in Kathu and Kailash and like this. I saw this, people were saying that Devpurījī was only under one bush tree. He never went to eat in the house of anyone. Only eat outside. He was sleeping in no one’s house. Under the tree, many, many things. And our holy Gurujī, He had so many divine visions with Devpurījī’s places. But the other people in Kathu, they never dare tell anybody the name of the Gurujī or me. That is called, how do you call them? But call you jealous? They think only Mahāprabhujī, nothing else. But Mahāprabhujī is family: Lāla Nanjī, Maṅgala Nanjī, Śiva Nanjī, Brahma Nanjī, Bodha Nanjī, Lāla Nanjī, Holy Gurujī. Where are my disciples? Where are the Mahāprabhujīs? They are Mahāprabhujī’s disciples. And that is why I was searching for Dr. Shanti, and Shanti did great, great work. But she is completely confused. Because rivers are going like this, sooner or later, she will go into one river, but for now, she is in what we call the wild water. Wild water is very dangerous, yes, only Dr. Shanti can control, yes. She pulled so many teeth from people who could not pull them out, and her right hand is still not good, yes. She put her instrument, holding it like this, and she took it out. That is why I am saying, and of course, the needle is so long. Cruel. Now, there are good, very small needles, but she did not feel pain, no pain, and very gently took it out. And long teeth, my teeth, three. I have them still in my home somewhere. I have written Dr. Shanti. So, my dear, we have to come to one path. Or you can go to another, no problem. But now, if you go somewhere else, then you will take the path again, and you are finished. Your life is finished now. Where do you begin? And again, begin. Then again, begin. So, practice. Be humble, kind. Do not run here and there. Do not think too much. Ask me, "How will it be? How are my stars?" Now I am sitting in the same place in the garden, and you are also sitting beside me, and you are saying, "Where are my stars?" My star and your star are in the same place. So why do you think Jupiter is here and the other one is different? One day, Holy Gurujī was in Mumbai. The train begins from Mumbai to Delhi. So Gurujī was sitting in the train. And one merchant was sitting with him, and he said, "Gurujī, is today a good constellation?" Guruji said, "For what? Because I am going to Delhi. Should I go tomorrow?" Gurujī said, "Every day the train is going." So, train does not ask which constellation is today. From that day, that man said, "I will not talk anymore about constellations." That is it. It is our, someone has put in our brain. So, do good, get good; do bad, get bad. That is it. And if there is someone who has problems... Mistakes, then we should help them. That is it. So this is that practice: your sādhanā, your mantra, your prayers, our Gurudev, everything. That is it. Did you understand? This meditation was good. Then, oh, peace, peace.
