A Guided Meditation on Oṁ and the Four Stations

A guided meditation on chanting Oṁ through four stations of consciousness.

Sit comfortably with a straight spine and relax. Close the eyes to see within. The chant begins at the navel, the source of one's roots and consciousness. The resonance expands from the navel to the heart center, Anāhata, which is endless. It then manifests through the throat, Viśuddhi, and illuminates the crown, Sahasrāra. This sound expands consciousness and the entire being beyond all borders. The practice involves dwelling one's awareness through these four points: Nābhi, Anāhata, Viśuddhi, and Sahasrāra. Balance the breath and energy channels. Feel the resonance within every cell. The light of knowledge, the Guru principle within, dispels ignorance. One realizes oneness: all is within the self, and the self is within all. Conclude by surrendering to the earth.

"From the navel you were born; your seed, your roots, yourself, your consciousness—everything began from there."

"All is you, and you are all. All it is, is thyself."

We will chant Oṁ all together. Sit comfortably. Place yourself in a comfortable yoga posture. Keep your hands beside your knees. Make your spine straight. Relax your shoulders. The tension in the neck and shoulders can only be released if you relax. Śrī Śrī... In this hall, sit. After, when I tell you to close your eyes, it means then, if it is possible, let your eyes be closed. There is nothing different to see here. It will be the same visions here on the altar, the whole hall, etc. Relax and close your eyes. See within thyself. Relax within thyself. We will chant from the navel. The resonance, the sound, everything comes from the navel. After that comes the heart, Anāhata. Anāhata sound. Anāhata means endless. Anāhata means the endless resonance first within thyself. Do you know your border? How far is your border? Beyond this earth, beyond all planets, etc., your resonance and the sound is beyond, beyond, which we want to know. That resonance will try to expand your consciousness. It will expand your whole being. Even your body will be expanding endlessly. Where there is a sound that brings that resonance further to your whole brain. It means it is endless: all your qualities, your sādhanās, your being, your knowledge, everything in the brain which is acting within thyself, and beyond that is connecting with the brain through our mind. And so, this feeling you should try to understand, feel, and become one with. And that’s why this sound we call Oṁ. It is eternal, it is sound, it is consciousness, and it is endless. From the navel you were born; your seed, your roots, yourself, your consciousness—everything began from there. Even the brain came after. Therefore, the sound that we will chant from the navel, we will feel our breath in the whole trunk of the body, meaning in the lungs, and from there life begins. So, let it begin from the navel; that is the beginning. Which brings us to the heart, Anāhata, endless, where manifestation occurs through this Anāhata in the throat. From the vocal cords, it is manifesting in the brain with the mind, endlessly. These are the four points: Nābhi, Anāhata, Viśuddhi, and Sahasrāra. Understand these four points, and then dwell your consciousness through these four stations. Everything we want to know is here within you. There is a light after the Viśuddhi, and the whole brain is lighting up like the dawn. Relax your elbows, relax your shoulders, be thyself. Within all these stations, through the mind, the consciousness, and that which is there as a Guru. Guru means darkness, and ro means light. The light of knowledge and purification enlightens the ignorance through that. That’s the principle of the Guru. When you will not remain in your brain, you will be dismissing balance, once good and once not. That is why we chant the Oṁ from the navel out into the whole universe. Understand, and now with this understanding, in our Piṅgalā and Suṣumnā, the left nostril which gives the prāṇa, the right nostril also works with the prāṇa, and the third, Piṅgalā, balances the whole being of thyself. Relax. Relax and relax. Bring your awareness to your navel. Relax your navel. From there comes all different kinds of problems, or happiness and joy. It is from here, sending the energy to the brain, and there you understand, or we understand, that we are dismissed. All can be balanced from the navel. Do not chant too long, but go through these four points. Inhale and exhale, feel thyself. Everything that develops from embryos comes from that resonance. We cannot understand, and we will never understand. No science will achieve this. We can do many things, but all the balance, all everything, is who is doing this. We don’t know. But in our yoga and daily life, that is why self-inquiry, this meditation, Self-enquiry, do not miss your path. Once you are gone out, it is out. Navel, nābhi. Your prāṇa, your breath, how did it come? How does this prāṇa enter you? And when this prāṇa will not be anymore, the body will not be capable. Do not breathe anything into your prāṇa, and that’s why any kind of drug, smoke, etc., you are destroying all that which God has balanced. Five elements, keep them pure. Inhale and exhale, feel your navel, feel the expansion and contraction of your stomach, be very relaxed, and feel your lungs. Try to balance together Iḍā and Piṅgalā so that Suṣumnā can enter into the Sahasrāra Cakra. Deep inhale, feel the whole body, and exhale. Only once we will chant the second, until I give the instruction. From the navel, anāhata, viśuddhi, and directly sahasrāra. Inhale and exhale. Inhale and chant Oṁ from the navel. And that is, these three alphabets, A, U, M, these are the four: A, U, M. So, you know, you have learned already, deep inhale, A, to the resonance in your brain, your cosmos. Concentrate still; the sound is dwelling and sending rays into the endlessness of your space. Again, inhale and listen to the resonance in your space through the breath. Like when you feel the clock from the brass, how long the vibration and the sound is, that you should hold it. Don’t get out of this resonance. Again, deep inhale from the navel. From the navel, inhale. Inhale. And from the navel, inhale. Hear your voice, all the resonance. The whole body, the source is from the navel, the activity is in your brain, and the light is with your resonance. Deep inhale in anāhata. And feel, be within thyself, try to feel each and every cell of the body. Your body is made of five elements, like a ball. Resonance from the navel, the roots. Inhale, will in thyself the resonance with Anāhata endless, nothing but light. Develop in your whole being the light, the light, no darkness. And that, when you have all the light without darkness of the light, doubt, anger, hate, jealousy, these are all darkness, but the light is the guru within thyself constantly. Hear your resonance. You are within thyself, and the resonance is within you. Try to go out, but it cannot, because it is endless, endless, endless. Feel thyself oneness. I am one, one in all and all in one. Within thyself, all these millions of jīvas, life, all the cells, each cell has again thousands of cells expanding. All is you, and you are all. All it is, is thyself. With this, open your fingers and your palms, fold your hands, and chant Oṁ once again. And your folded hands at your chest, Anāhata, means, "Let me be in endless oneness, equal, all myself, once." My Gurudev, my Gurudev,... my light, my knowledge, and my energy. Fold your, rub your palms, place the palms on your face, open your eyes, hands down, and touch the Mother Earth, head down, surrender. I came from thee, my mother, and I am coming to thee. You gave, I gave. And slowly raise your hands up. Your head also, and once more fold your palms, and place the palms on the face. Open your eyes, and touch the Mother Earth, head down. Surrender. I came from thee, my mother, and I am coming to thee. You gave, I gave. And slowly raise your... Hands up, your head also, and once more fold your palms, and place the palms on the face. Open your eyes, and touch the Mother Earth, and touch the Mother Earth... All dear hands, adieu.
