Reflections on the Year's End and the Divine Balance

A spiritual discourse reflecting on the year's end, divine balance, and spiritual practice.

"This year, consider how many positive thoughts have flowed through our body, our mind, our consciousness, and our spiritual life."

"Today is the last full moon of this year. Today, let us look through the light of the moon. What spots do you see on the moon? And how much light?"

The lecturer leads a satsang on the final full moon of 2019, contemplating the passage of time, the accumulation of thoughts, and the concept of divine balance symbolized by the moon. He discusses the nature of God, the importance of vegetarianism, and the need for daily prayer and positive vibrations, weaving in personal anecdotes from his travels and teachings.

Śrīdīp Nārāyaṇa Bhagavān Kī Devādideva Deveśvara Mahādeva Satguru Svāmījī Madhavānandajī Bhagavān Kī Alak Purījī Mahādeva Satya Sanātana Dharma Kī Jaya Om Śāntiḥ Śāntiḥ... This year, 2019, this 90th year, has passed so very quickly. And we remain ever the same. How beautiful. We have experienced much. We have had various thoughts. We have also meditated according to our capacity, thought of God, and held positive thoughts. This year, consider how many positive thoughts have flowed through our body, our mind, our consciousness, and our spiritual life. And how many negative vibrations have passed through our body—the five types of body: Annamaya Kośa, Prāṇamaya Kośa, Manomaya Kośa, Vijñānamaya Kośa, and Ānandamaya Kośa. Every living being lives, but humans possess something more: the spirit of wisdom and Ānanda, bliss. Animals experience this to some extent, but it is very little. People, however, have access to the endless. Every thought imparts a color to the body, to our energies, into our mind, our knowledge, and our bliss. In the same way, how much does "spiritual" truly mean good—bliss, unity for all? How much have we lived it this year through our body, mind, energy, knowledge, and bliss? How many have we helped? How many people have we done something good for? What we have in this world, what we mostly think about, are people. More or less, what moves on this earth most at the moment are people. We know that people never have enough to do, whether good or bad. Science also progresses greatly day by day. Good things come, but also negative things. For us, we say one year, two years, and so on. But for animals, nothing. Animals live on this earth and then continue with equanimity with the soul. But people, we have something else. We have twelve months, and we have counted twelve months as one year. Every religion also has its own year according to its tradition. So today is the last full moon of this year. Today, let us look through the light of the moon. What spots do you see on the moon? And how much light? It is very clear; everyone will see what they have, how they have lived. According to Jyotiṣa, every two years count as an additional year. So, in India, this month, this year will have 13 months. This is in accordance with our Jyotiṣa. In Jyotiṣa, one counts from the Sun and the other from the Moon. When we see clearly, feelings and everything that will happen to us, is happening, and has happened, and where we are living right now, it is in light, energy, and everything with the Moon, because the next planet, so to speak, is perhaps the Moon. But the moon maintains equality, the balance. For 14 days the moon brings the vibration of one side, and after 14 days it returns. This is the balance, just like, for example, in every airplane. We also see in the airplane a small, what do you call it? It always maintains balance. It is not big, small, but this small one holds the same weight. And so we too, when we speak of the Vedāntas and Vedas, must hold a weight in our mind along with these hairs. And the women as well. Four women had their hair cut only once in their lives, and afterwards, not anymore. They certainly carry a beautiful weight with body, mind, soul, and the entire surroundings. A family in a home is a balance, a divine light. And through that, they have the hair. It is not just about letting the hair grow; it is meant to be tied together. Through this, harmony and energy return abundantly to the entire body. When the hair is just left loose, then it is gone. And so we see in the present time in this world neither men nor women, only balance. Yes, this is correct. What I am saying today, you will see in a few years, people will see: this is neither bliss nor family togetherness and so on, because of this power of our Sahasrāra Cakra and Bindu. This is very important. It was a cow from the ocean, and a cow came, the Kāmadhenu. But the Kāmadhenu has a balance on its shoulder. That is the energy, and just like the bliss, and the other word that I cannot say, I do not know, but it is there. I thought there was red behind me. Is there something red behind me? That is so. I say, I am constantly in red. And thus, it is calculated, the movement into the earth and the balance is through the moon. And so, it is month 13 or 12. If during the day there are only 11 suns, then it will be a disaster, a great disaster. We have various incarnations of God. God is only one; one can say He is Śiva, Brahmā, and Viṣṇu. But Brahmā has no mother and father, and Viṣṇu neither, and Śiva neither. But Śiva was that, as I said. Sometimes we say, people make a joke, okay, a joke. Well, if you know everything, then tell me, what were the humans and animals, and who was the first? A bird or eggs? And then he says, if you know nothing, then you will continue to give us knowledge. Yes, that is one... But now you know. The God who was the only one who created is Śiva. And that Śiva is a Śakti in unity and has given in man a feminine and in woman a human. And there, what Śiva has brought, from there you can want to see a bird or want to see eggs. Āyā means Brahmāṇḍa, Brahmāṇḍa... endless, universe, Brahmāṇḍa, and so it is like an Āṇḍa (egg). The entire universe is completely round. Everything, everything, and everything is round. Water, drops are also round. Fire too, air as well, our body, everything there in the soul, everything is round like eggs. And in these eggs is the mother or the father. In one of them. So from the egg comes only the feminine. In Austria, they say all eggs are female. Really. Sometimes we also cut eggs. Sometimes they are eggs, and sometimes they are male eggs. And so it is. Who has said that Jīva is Śiva? Jīva is Śiva. And so we are here. But about this God, what we say, whether we say Holy Father or Allāh or Brahmā, Śiva, what do you find? But they are reborn again, whether it is God or something else. We say God, we ourselves are also God. But we do not yet have our inner energy. We did not understand it. We have lost it. We have gone towards the negatives. On the other hand, the light is within ourselves, while God is far beyond. But still, when we name a God, we can all say that God is God. Everyone says it. Yes? A mother and a mother and a child say, you are my God, my love. The mother says it, whether a girl or a man, that you are my God. And when you love someone, then your wife or the girl tells the man or the boy that you are my God. And after a few years, you see, the God-consciousness is within our body, within our knowledge, but we are not yet that far. And so, that is one. Secondly, every month there are two festivals, Full Moon and New Moon. Both are divine and such. We say, beautiful, now, it is indeed beautiful, there should be snow, there should be snow, cold and all. And today was the budding of this cherry tree, yes, yes, excuse me, yes, yes,... this tree, yes, yes, yes. And not now. Did you see? Who did not see? Yes, everyone has seen it, very good. And so, when we were in Australia—I say Australia because I was there once—I asked, how do you celebrate Christmas here? In Europe, it is beautiful with the snow and all. They said, we want a very hot day and to lie on the beach and just be. So, which one is the right one? Is it this or that? And so it is, the other side or this side. But we have to make our feelings for this ceremony divine. And in Christianity, there is also a beautiful holy day every month. Everyone else still. But we do not know yet. And unfortunately, very few in the whole world come every day and pray before God. The Muslims, many of them go to the mosque almost every day. Until more into these, how shall we say, Mosin and so on. But we have nothing. The Christians here have nothing. They are doing okay, but very little, very little. They also sit very little for eating. And very little for sleeping as well. And when they are sleeping, they cannot pray, because they are so intoxicated, simply lying down in bed. That is so. But take comfort. We remember God and we pray: whatever negative things we have done, please God forgive us; and whatever good and best we have done, please grant it to all from me, and I will give your blessings to everyone, oh God. So, today is the last full moon of this year, and a new moon is coming soon. Right? Yes. And as I said, it is a new moon. But here you already have a new moon. Today is the full moon. And the next morning is the new moon. Set down. And then the new moon comes again. So, we want to be in the light and in the shadow of the sun and God's light as well. It is beautiful. I wish this for you not only today, not only for our Christmas, but every day. And please let us think that no negative vibrations, not even the slightest vibration, enter my mind or my heart. This is spirituality. So, on this day today, I wish you God's blessings, and may the whole month be beautiful. It continues, and it will continue. Yes, but one thing is negative. Many animals are slaughtered. I believe God will not do that. That is that. And in this world, people are slaughtering more and more animals. But many, many people have come into this world as vegetarians, as vegans, and so on. It comes, the world comes again. We are here. I tell you, Jesus suffered greatly. He suffered greatly. But he has brought it. He has brought it. And so we have also suffered. But we will progress more and more, advancing further. Our people, several of our friends, families. When we can no longer do anything, when nothing is possible, we do not need to torment and refresh ourselves in this life. That is it. So I wish you all the best, and to your family as well, and everything. It came to me in my thoughts from here, from one of my students in Vienna. My student is 35 years old, and he has worked, and I have not come that far, and so on. And one day he reminded me of something. And now you see, you hear. And what we hear, we will one day pass on. So he said, I have vegetarians and paths. There is no meat here, no eggs, none of that, none of all that. I am your student. I asked, how many people come into the shop? At least 300 people per day. But he says, 300 people come here, that today 300 animals were saved. He came to me and said, we will hold a conference next year. This year, how many animals have we, that is, I and you together, saved? In 20 days or 22 days, I am here in Europe, 50,000 years. Well, thousands, not just 50. How many thousands have I seen? I have been in Europe for 50 years. I came and on the very same day, even on the plane, I said, do not eat meat, give it up, it is a sin. And I believe someone said, he sat behind me. And afterwards there and there and... here. And it is not as if so many people can always stay here. They have learned, they are learning, they are going. And many, many who always think and speak, but they are always vegetarians. So, one day, of course, the rat always hesitates me. Sante, don’t you know that? Didn’t I say it? Yes, Sainte always shows me, why is Sainte not the radar? She is stingy with me. Do you know where? Because of the Südbahnhof. Yes, I want to have it, and she says, no, no, that is beautiful. I know, she is not happy either, but she always hesitates with me. Yes, and that has to count as well. We feel millions of people everywhere. In China I have students, in Japan, in Korea, in Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Canada, America, Mexico, Cuba, and all of Europe. Once I had a mathematician who told me how many vegetarians in Vienna ate per day, whether they came or not. That is so. Now we will say the Rādhā, because it counts, and the next day it continues, tomorrow. We really have to bring this forth and plant the trees and so on. So I wish you all the very best.
