A Gathering of Gratitude and Blessings

The Guru's grace is the supreme power guiding spiritual life. The recent celebration honored the divine incarnation and the Guru's birthday. Disciples gathered in a preserved forest, accessible to all, to share in this divine love and mercy. Physical presence is valued, but connection transcends location through webcast and shared intention. The Guru's work continues the lineage, and every disciple's effort supports this mission. The Guru Principle is not the physical body but the eternal, all-pervading consciousness—pure, unchanging, and beyond duality. It is the source of supreme bliss and wisdom. Through faith and adherence to the Guru's word, the seemingly impossible becomes possible. The Guru's promise is to lead all to self-realization.

"Whatever you wish in your mind, by the grace of Gurudev, nothing is impossible."

"The Gurudev is called the supreme bliss, meaning supreme happiness... His consciousness is like this clear sky today."

Part 1: A Gathering of Gratitude and Blessings Yesterday, or rather today, was Janmāṣṭamī, the day of Śrī Kṛṣṇa’s divine incarnation. It was beautiful. Now, in ten days, we will celebrate Holy Gurujī’s incarnation day. As every year, we hold a wonderful retreat or seminar here in this beautiful, blessed forest in the Czech Republic. Our village, where the Mahāprabhudīp Satsaṅg Foundation āśram is located, is just 1 kilometer and 250 meters from where we are sitting—or perhaps 2 kilometers, 150 meters, and 30 centimeters. The government of the Czech Republic, and the former government of Czechoslovakia, worked to preserve this forest, making it accessible to every tourist and citizen. You can see that large parts remain untouched nature: grass, trees, flowers, and various plants. It is beneficial for those with problems like asthma. Therefore, the joy is that you can participate, whether you are here physically or joining via webcast. Please enjoy with us the beauty of the day when that divine love and mercy incarnated in the form of our beloved Master. That is more than enough. It is sufficient for one human life, for all mankind, and for the whole planet. Thank you, Gurudev, for your presence, your service, your love, your mercy, your being with us, your understanding, and your forgiveness. Dear Swāmījī, on your birthday, in the name of all of us, I wish you good health and long life. In the name of all of us, for your birthday, I wish you good health and a long, long life. I am so thankful for everything good and best that you have done for us all these years. I think I can say, in the name of all of us, that we will try our best to follow your instructions and your ideas. I think, and I hope, that we will use our best and activate our best efforts to follow your instructions and your words. All the best. Today’s program is slightly changed. It was to be about Patañjali, but there are many Patañjalis here now. So I thought a Christian from Hungary should come. Hari Om to all. Praṇām, Beloved Swāmījī. It is a great pleasure and a great honor to be chosen to say something. I must be very honest; I had the wish all week to speak, and now that I have this opportunity, I am a little bit shaky. Everyone has wished all the best to our beloved Swāmījī, that he may be with us for as many years as possible. I cannot resist my wish and urge to say something to you. Swāmījī said something yesterday about Gurujī and what it meant for Gurujī that Swāmījī became a Mahāmaṇḍaleśvara. Many of you know, and some may not, but I had the unique opportunity to spend some time of my life in Jadan in the presence of Holy Gurujī. I may tell you, I heard many times from Gurujī’s own mouth that every mantra he repeats, every breath he takes in his sādhanā, is for Swāmījī and for the benefit of the work Swāmījī does. It took me some years, and it still takes me time, to realize what this means. It is my humble request to all of you, as many as possible, to come to Haridwar on the next occasion of the Mahākumbha Melā. If you come, even for a day, it is not only to be there and celebrate Swāmījī’s Abhiṣeka inauguration as Mahāmaṇḍaleśvara of the Mahānirvāṇī Akhāṛā, but it is a great tribute to Gurujī, who would be more than delighted and indescribably happy to see it. For Gurujī lives through Swāmījī’s work and through all of you here—through all of us here. That is what we are here for. That is what I wanted to say all week. Thank you very much, Swāmījī, for giving me this opportunity. Now I feel a little bit of relief. Thank you so much. Praṇām. Who is going to translate? Thank you. Praṇām, Gurudev. Hari Om. I would also like to wish you, from the depths of my heart, as long a physical life as you can have, and also for us, that we may share this time with you. This morning, I recalled the memory of 1980, when Gurujī and yourself were in Hungary, in Pát. There was the beauty of nature and the knowledge you shared with us, which we will never forget. At that time, we were fresh and young disciples, and we kept asking you, "What is the real nature of the relationship between the Guru and the disciple, the Chela?" After a month together with you and Holy Gurujī, we realized we did not have to ask anymore, because we had so much experience that we will never forget in our lives. Thank you very much that we can be with you today on your birthday. We wish that we could be together with you physically for the next hundred years, because this is the place where we can get knowledge that we can get nowhere else in the world. Thank you, Gurujī. Keśanām Sepan, Kṛṣṇānandī, Muktānand from Austria, Vienna. When the cameraman is standing, many people are angry because they cannot see. So you can see quickly and then sit down, yes? Thank you. Praṇām. It would be good if you speak English, okay? We know you speak German well, but English is better. Praṇām, Swāmījī. Praṇām, dear yoga friends around the world. Thank you for being here for us all the time. We see Swāmījī here on the webcast visually, but he is working mostly on the other side, which we do not see, where he helps us, gives us inspirations, nice and good thoughts, and all these things. We are happy that he is here, that we are with him, and we wish him a long life so that we can stay with him for a very long time. Thank you, Swāmījī. Who will translate? I will speak in Slovene, please. Come, Prem Devī. Beloved Gurudev, praṇām and greetings to all of you here in Strilky Āśram, sitting on this beautiful lawn. We have this beautiful opportunity to be with Swāmījī every year. Still, when the speakers were mentioning Gurujī, it came to my mind how beautiful the experience was when Swāmījī and Gurujī were celebrating together. We gather in great numbers, as this year, and we were all with open hearts, praying and hoping that we will come and fulfill our goal. We believe we will achieve our goals with the blessings of Swāmījī, who never leads us on a path that is unnecessary for us; it is always the right path. Thank you. So, thank you, Gurudev, for all the mercy you give us. I would like to end this not with words, but by saying to all of you that we show our Gurudev with our actions, not only words. Thank you. Kvala Lepa, Hari Om, Ukraine. Oh, very good. No problem. Yes, Swāmījī, Hari Om. Hari Om to all those who came here. Hari Om, Swāmījī. Hari Om to all people. We brought from Ukraine all the love that Ukraine could send for Swāmījī and for all his students. We bring from Ukraine all the love that people from Ukraine can bring to Swāmījī. The most important thing we have is our love. We came with open hearts, and our hearts are full of love which we cannot describe. Many people in Ukraine are pleased to see Swāmījī, our mercy, our love and devotion to Swāmījī. All Ukrainians, and not only Ukrainians, but Russians, Belarusians, the entire former Soviet Union, asked me to say that there are so many people here, Swāmījī. You can take even more and come to us. We will meet you all. We will always be glad to see you. All people from Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, and from all countries of the Soviet Union ask Swāmījī, "For all people there, come to us, and we will invite you, and you are welcome." Kharayam. Mantra Purī from Hamburg. Praṇām, beloved Gurudev. Praṇām. And Hari Om, dear brothers and sisters here and those watching via webcast. I think this very special day, with the great blessing of being with Swāmījī, should also be a day where we remember what is really important for us. For us, the best place we can be is at Swāmījī’s feet. It is a great blessing of Mahāprabhujī that we can be here now physically and also through the webcast. What I also feel is very important for us is that we live what Swāmījī tells us, so that we can pass it on further—Swāmījī’s message, Mahāprabhujī’s light, and this divine mercy which is coming. May we all do our best, Swāmījī, to be the disciples that you deserve and that are worthy to be with you. Thank you, Swāmījī, and all the best. It’s not true, but I’m in Germany. So, praṇām, dear Swāmījī, and Hari Om and praṇām to all brothers and sisters. Now my heart is beating. I... how to say? When I was in New Zealand, we prepared a public lecture for Swāmījī in Auckland. Then we got a message one day before from Rādhā that we had to take care of Swāmījī because his health was not good; it was extremely bad. I woke up then, and we were changing the venue so Swāmījī would not have to go up stairs. We tried a lot. In the morning, when I woke up, I was thinking, "I’m always afraid, Swāmījī is overloaded from us." Then I woke up and thought, "If Swāmījī is really not in a good situation with his health..." I would like to die for him, because my life is not so important, but he is very important for us. I hope you feel the same as I do, and then Swāmījī would be happy because we would become better and better bhaktas. This is how we can support Swāmījī. I think almost all were here, no? Except me. Thank you. Croatians, Slovenians, Ukrainians, Russians—all were here. Spain, yes, Cuba and Spain and this place. Is there someone here? Yes, then come. Oṁ Namaḥ Śrī Prabhudīp Nārāyaṇam... Hama Sabhā Dās Prabhusra Parāyaṇam. Hama Sabhā Dās Prabhusra. So, Dīvālī, what a beautiful name. Wherever she sits, the Dīvālī is there. Thank you, Swāmījī. Dīvālī means the happiest festival in the world. Yes. That’s right. Dear Swāmījī, dear brothers and sisters, all of you know that Spain is just at the end of Europe. It’s near Africa. So we are very far from here, and it is not easy for us to come and see Swāmījī frequently. Although the Barcelona Āśram is new, a young āśram, and there are not many people yet, this is the first time we are a numerous group from Yoga in Daily Life. It is a big opportunity for us to be here on this special day. It is doubly special because today we passed our teacher examination in yoga. Thank you. It is the first time this is possible. We hoped to pass, but we did not know. Anyway, we worked for it. Dear Swāmījī, many, many greetings to you. We also hope and desire a long life for you to be here. Part 2: The Guru's Grace and the Nature of the Guru Principle Pranām Gurudev, Pranām all dear brothers and sisters. In the name of all bhaktas from America, I would like to congratulate you on your birthday, Swāmījī, and we are so happy to be here with you. Also, I just wanted to share something with you. It is so nice and beautiful to be here with you, with so many of us around, Swāmījī, in such a beautiful environment. But there are also places where just a few bhaktas are there in the āśramas, far away from here, far away from headquarters. Still, Swāmījī doesn't leave any disciple behind. Even so far away, he comes there every year. He comes, he flies, changing all different flights, waiting, missing flights and everything, just to be with us, to help us, to bless us. That is something that we should never overcome or overlook. He is always with us, and regardless of his health condition and everything, he will be there for us always. Swāmījī, thank you so much for everything. Thank you. So, today is our last, and there are many who would like to speak, but the time does not allow. On behalf of India, our dear Jay Prakāś is here from New Delhi. Yes, someone must represent India too, no? We know you speak Hindi, but please talk in English. Yes, thank you. Well, thank you, Swāmījī, for the great honor that I may be the representative of the holy land of India. And first of all, I would like to wish you good health and long life in the name of all the people who are now watching you from India. Mahāprabhujī kī jaya! Mahāprabhujī kī jaya! He kevalam. And, of course, many of us are too emotional or not aware of everything that is happening, so we don't remember all the words which are going on during our mantra dīkṣā. But one thing is that not only are we promising our faithfulness to Swāmījī, but Swāmījī is also promising his faithfulness to us, and he is promising that he will lead us to our final aim of self-realization. So, I don't know why Swāmījī promised this, actually, because it will take many, many lives, which means that we are very lucky that we will be able to meet Swāmījī again and again and enjoy our time. So, that's why, you know, we have to make very good āśrams, like in Jadān, like here, so that we can welcome him again and that we can gather again at those places. So, thank you, Swāmījī, for all of this, and we wish you a very happy birthday. Thank you, Jai Bhagavān. Thank you, Dīp Nārāyaṇa Bhagavān Kī, Deveśvara Mahādeva Kī, Mādhav Kṛṣṇa Bhagavān Kī, Śyāvara Rāmacandra Bhagavān Kī, Kṛṣṇa Kanayalāl Kī, Sanātanadharma Kī. Good evening, dear brothers and sisters, all devotees of Mahāprabhujī here and around the world. It doesn't matter where you are today; we are one with our astral being through the waves of our thoughts. Often I say it on full moon night, we shall all look to the full moon at the same time, and you will see our spiritual radiance going to the moon. Then I see, like, an umbrella, and we all meet there. To say the truth, to be physically together is much better than to be only mentally together. It's also beautiful, but it's very difficult. It's not easy to give satisfaction or contentment to our heart, okay. But nevertheless, we are here, and thank you for your good wishes. Congratulations on my birthday on the 15th of August. Gurudev, Mahāprabhujī, Holy Gurujī, always fulfills our wish. Govind Purī was saying something about Gurujī's love towards his devotees, and especially to me. But you know that my love for him was not only in every mantra and every heartbeat, but in complete oneness. Holy Gurujī said many times that whatever I wish will come true. Yes, now he said, and Mahāprabhujī had to work hard. How is it possible? It will be possible, but it is possible. In India, many things you think are impossible, but they become possible. Mostly, when people are traveling from Jaipur to Delhi for the airport, there is a lot of traffic and traffic jams, and they say, "Oh God, we will miss our airplane. Oh God, we will miss it." And they are near Delhi, 10 km or 5 km from the airport, and there is so much traffic, and they are sure that they will miss the plane. But finally, they are surprised; they are sitting in the plane already and coming. So everything through the Guru Kṛpā. Well, exactly three days ago, this time we were talking, me and Pārvatī, trying to organize a very big tent for today’s satsaṅg and program. And the biggest tent which we could find was about 800 or 900 square meters, which is not enough for half of us or a quarter of us. And Pārvatī said, "Perhaps the weather will be good." So I said to Holī Gurujī, "How nice it was when Holī Gurujī was here, and my birthday was here also, and Guru Pūrṇimā was also." So please make nice weather. Veda Kast was saying rain. It will be rainy and cold. The cold waves will come. So the cold waves came to the border of Brno and Vienna, Austria, and it has changed. Surprised that yesterday they said the hot waves will come, and so today at this time we don’t see anything in the sky except airplanes flying, and such nice weather. Whatever you wish in your mind, by the grace of Gurudev, nothing is impossible. Whatever you wish, that God will make true. Nothing is impossible for Mahāprabhujī; nothing is impossible for God to do. Yesterday we spoke about Nitya Avatāra and Nimit Avatāra. Nimittāvatāra has limited possibilities to fulfill the wishes. Like Brahma, for example, or Viṣṇu, or Śiva, when Bhaktas ask for immortality, they say, "Sorry, we can’t give you immortality, but we can fulfill any other wish that you say." But it is said, to make you immortal is in the hands of Gurudev. Nitya Avatāra has this power. Therefore, it is said, if God has done something wrong, the saints can correct it. But if saints have done something wrong, God cannot correct it. And that is a protocol between them, an understanding. An honī guru kar sake, honī det mitāī, par Brahma Gurudev hai, sab kus det banāī. An honī guru kar sake, what is not possible, Gurudev can do. Or, honey, don’t be afraid. Whatever is going to happen, Gurudev can remove it. Par Brahma Gurudev Hai. He is Par Brahma. Sab Kuch Detā Banāī. He can make everything, but we must have the faith. You know the story about Śrī Devpurījī, and you have heard this story many times. The Kailash Ashram, also named Kailash village, and the neighboring village, which is not even one kilometer away, is called Dhingpur. And there was a merchant, a businessman, and he didn’t have children and wished very much to have some children. And they both, husband and wife, were above 50, nearly reaching 60 years. One day Devpurījī came and Devpurījī said, "One chapati, one son; two chapati, two sons." And so the lady who was making breakfast had already made three chapatis. She ran and gave all three chapatis to Devpurījī. And he said, "Okay, so you will get three sons." And they got them. And that son is also the one who was born with Devpurījī’s blessings, and his children, they are living in Jaipur, and always when they come, they tell me this story. So, what is not going to happen can happen when Gurudev can do it. So, our benefit is that we follow Guru Vākya. Satguru Ke Ādhīn, who is greater than God, Rāma and Kṛṣṇa? They also had a Gurudev. Teen Lok Ke Nāth Hai. They are the gods of all three worlds, Satguru Ke Ādhīn. But still, they are surrendering to Gurudev and follow the Guru Vākya, follow what Satguru says. We have to understand Guru Tattva. We have to understand these divine elements, Guru Tattva, in the universe, not a body. Don’t think that, oh, he or she is also like us. We are eating, they are eating; we drink water, they also drink water; we sleep, they sleep; we are ill, they are ill. This is Prakṛti, and they are above the Prakṛtis. Ekam Nityam Brahmanandam Paramsukhadam. The Gurudev is called the supreme bliss, meaning supreme happiness. Brahmanandam Paramashukadam Kevalam Jnanamurtim. So the embodiment of Gurudev is only the wisdom, knowledge. Look to that knowledge. Brahmanandam Paramashukadam Kevalam Jnanamurtim Dvandatitam Gagan Sadrashim. He is above all this, yours and mine, and dualities, and all this. His consciousness is like this clear sky today. There is not even a single spot you see of the clouds or anything. Equal everywhere. This is the consciousness of the Gurudev. It’s not that your master loves you less and others more, like this. This is our ignorance. The sun is shining for all, not for particular persons or animals. Gagana Sadrasyam, Tasmasyadi Lakshyam, and this is the aim of everyone to achieve. Ekam Nityam Vimalam Achalam. Only the one, truth, or God; there is only reality, and it is one. Ekam Nityam, everlasting. Ekam Nityam Vimal Achalam, pure, spotless, and Achal, not movable; the sky doesn’t move. And so, that Guru Principle doesn’t move. Ekam Nityam Vimalāchalam Sarvaddhi Sākṣibhūtam, and knower of everything. Sarvaddhi Sākṣibhūtam Bhavātītam Triguṇarahitam. And above this, all conflicts, dualities, differences, changes, Bhavātītam Triguṇarahitam, above the three guṇas. Therefore, Satguru Tam Namāmyaham. And so, we adore and bow down again and again to our Satguru Dev, our Siddha Pīṭha Paramparā from Śrī Alakhpurījī, from the Himālaya Kelāśa, from Sadāśiva time till now. We continue, and we pray to Gurudev to protect us from doing bad things or making mistakes. Protect us so that we may care for this holy chair, the holy Siddha Pīṭha of Alakhpurījī. For this, I wish you all the best and the blessings of Gurudev, and may Gurudev help you to come forward in your spirituality. So, as Jayaprakāś said, we don’t have to come again and again; perhaps we finished all in this life. And then we will be ever in that divine consciousness. So even Kṛṣṇa or Rāma or any incarnation—the Holy Land India has given so many incarnations and holy saints to the world that we can’t even count how many there were. So where is the holy? Everything is holy. So, we are in this āśram. It means we are this āśram. We are within this ashram, and so everything is there. From which look you are seeing, from which point of view you are looking, how you respect, accept—this is this. Mahāprabhujī said, "The spoon which remains all the time in pudding or in honey, but the spoon cannot taste the sweetness of the honey." And so, the people who have a lot of negative karma, dust overloaded, cannot understand or see that divinity and holiness of that holy land, India, Bhārata, Āryāvarta, and so many, many Vedic time names. So, I wish you all the best, and thank you for your good wishes on my birthday. Now, I wish you a very good appetite.
