Blessing of the Saints

The essence of yoga extends beyond the self to the preservation of life. Some saints simply radiate peace, residing in huts or caves. Human activity now destroys the mountains and rocks that are our life, drilling deep and cutting them away. Rivers that once flowed from these rocks are now dry. The roots of mountains, like tree roots, seek and channel water for all vegetation. We see the result where great trees once stood by rivers; now there is nothing. People fight for water, yet dams are built for fish, destroying forests. Water is life; where there is water, there is God. True spirituality means saving trees, vegetation, and water sources. It is not mere physical exercise but protecting the globe.

"Water is life. Water itself is life."

"Yoga and spirituality are not only about yourself. What about others?"

Thank you, all people in the whole world. They are, day by day, giving me the message: "Please make more bhajans." And, of course, they would like to have it like one cassette. So, those who would like to do, of course we will make this, and this will be for our āśrams. Anything is how we will utilize. But first of all, we respect, and we are very, very happy. We love her very much, and she’s great. So once more, everybody, thank you. Yes, and every day there will be nice bhajans. Thank you. These are all bhajans that we have; they are bhajans from Mahāprabhujī, Lālanānjī, Maṅgīlāljī, Brāhmaṇānjī, Śivānānjī, and our dear Satguru, Swāmī, Madhavānānjī Bhagavān. All this glory, but it means that we would like to know something. Of course, we are talking a lot about our past, and we have the Vedas, we have many scriptures, and many great people. But at present, there are also some great saints, and they are of two kinds. The one does not do anything but just lets the radiance from their whole body shine for all creatures and for all humans. That was such a sense. They may sit in some house with the family or in some big little hut. Some may be somewhere in the Himalayas or in any other peaceful places, what we call their rocks and also their caves. And we know that though the mountains are high up, and we are low, and we think that we have more water here, we have more, but in all the, like the Himalayas and other mountains, there is a vibration. And this, what we have, is great. Now, human generation is too much, and they have enough. We have enough, but still we are going to the Himalayas and we are trying to cut the mountains. And now you see, in the whole world and in India too, sooner or later you will see there will be no more rocks. And it’s not only on the earth, but they are going deep, and that means we are destroying. We do not understand. It is really all that they are doing, the science, what they are making, something which no one has done. And I said, "I don’t accept this, because they are saying I have done the best—what? Destroy the rocks?" Mahāprabhujīp Karatā Mahāprabhujīp Karatā He Kevalam. From now, today, on the 40 years, I’m talking about desert land, and how much is that? India has that, like Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, etc. And there were constantly rivers flowing, and water came from the rocks, from the mountains. This water was going from the rocks, mountains, and there were little, little rivers or creeks. But there are a few times when I flew from Mumbai to Jodhpur or Jodhpur. Other parts, so we were flying from, for example, Jaipur or Delhi. We fly to our, call it Udaipur. Udaipur is there, mostly all these Aravali rocks and this. When we fly, suddenly you see there, there’s a down desert, but it’s like roots. From the whole rocks, or what we call the mountains, it looks like there are roots, really. It is like if we pull out one tree, and there are how many roots in this tree, round everywhere. And from this rock, this is where the rocks are, there is water somewhere they are preserving. Because big, big rocks and water are on the rock, and slowly, in some different parts, the water is going. Now, from the Aravalli rocks, until that, you can say, until Pakistan, or the other side, our, what we call, Punjab and this. From here to there, one rock, it is one rock, which is about how many hundred kilometers, black, black rock. People are drilling for water; they need water now, and so when the rock comes and black stones come, they give up. Because the rock itself is about 150 meters thick, and there is no water. Somewhere it is 100 meters thick, somewhere 40 meters, etc. But these rocks and all our mountains, these are our life. And so wherever the roots are, the roots are searching for water. I experience here, we made many, many here in our ashrams, the water tank. And about, let’s say, three meters deep, four meters deep, and a little like this. And the tree, banyan trees or other trees, they are about, let’s say, 20 meters too far. And how they get from the tree, the root, and search for where water is, and through a very tiny hole or a little bit of weight, the rocks are the roots, they are going slowly, slowly, like our hair. You know our hair? Somebody has, somebody doesn’t, but I have it. I can show you my hair. And so, it goes like one hair and enters into the water tank. And then, slowly, slowly, this root becomes thick like our thigh. And from there, he is sucking the water back to all these trees. Similarly, from the mountains, the roots bring water for all the trees and vegetation. I went quaking there from this airplane from Udaipur. Suddenly, I come to our roots, and the roots are so beautiful. But we see how many, and at that time, forty years before, there was water in many, many rivers. And now there is only dry, nothing. Purījī, Purījī... Now, Nippal Āśram of our Gurujī’s, you know many of our holy Gurujī’s, what we call, left side and right side, the rivers, so the bench of the river you can call, bank of the river, beautiful, big, big, very beautiful trees. Many, many mango trees, and these trees and that. And after a few kilometers, or 20 kilometers, there is another river. There somewhere, maybe about 30-40 meters. But all were in the ground, completely water; there it was going, and water was everything. Now, what do we do? There is no water, and those trees are not there. You can see the Gurujī, Holī Gurujī’s photo. Holi Guruji was sitting in the ashram, and from behind is a river, and the backside has so many big, big,... big trees. And now there is nothing. Why? This is because we humans, we have made them. And then we want to have water, maybe for, let’s say, one kilometer or half a kilometer, so people can get something for the vegetation, water. But that is another thing, and nobody speaks about that. Nobody ever speaks about that. But I tell you this, maybe the government or others, what they are doing, they make a dam and throw in the water the fish seeds inside, not a seed, the eggs. And that is for these people to eat. This is what we call the fish. Only because of the fish, and only for some money for them, the whole forest is destroyed. Similarly, in many parts of the world, and also in India, in some parts of India, there is so much water because of the Himalayas, so much water. There is one of the rivers, which is, I don’t know, what river have you bought? Brahma Putra. And this Brahma Putra is very, very deep, I don’t know, from here to, let’s say, half of Jodhpur. And how much water is going there? If the government could bring this water to this side, we can be. But, of course, there are always problems, this and that. So, similarly, many other countries are like this. But there are some countries in Europe also that don’t want to make any dam. They don’t want to make any pond. And they will get the water even from the other side. But they will not dig water from that, because this is our treasure. Every year in Hungary, there is a water conference, and once they invited me, and I was there. Of course, they said, "Because we don’t ask, tell the people to dig a water drill? No, because you have only about one meter or one and a half meters of your land; below is our government, yes." In India too, if we see it and see with the golden dunder, a government will answer that this is not your land, it’s our land. We are only on the surface, and so many countries, those ministers, those people, they are saving the water. And now there is no water, and people are fighting for the water. Before, there was something; now, it is about the water, and we do not know what more. Therefore, water is life. Water itself is life. Jaha Jal, Jaha Jagdīś. Where there is water, there is God. Jala Jaha Jagdīś. And some Europeans said, "Boda jīvot." The "boda" is water; water is life. That’s it. But many of us are lost, not only here in India, but in Europe and in many countries, they are now destroying the mountains. They are very careful. They are from somewhere inside the mountains, taking the water that comes. So people don’t see how many are destroying the mountains. This is our life, and so what are you people coming for? So we shall more and more try to save something: water, and save our vegetation. That’s our life. Our life is that. Because we are not the life of the tree, but the tree is our life. We are not water, but water is for us. Therefore, yoga means not only your body. Yoga and spirituality are not only about yourself. What about others? If spirituality is, then come and save all the trees and vegetation, and save again, and empty all the dams. There is one dam for drinking water, very, very big, for humans and animals. But not every 10 or 20 kilometers, they are blocking the creeks or rivers. That is also spirituality. It is life. We don’t know where God is. Here it is. And so, in this way, we shall save that. Yoga in daily life, in our world, they are really, very much, they are working. Many people practice yoga in different ways. They are making acrobatics, this and that and that. No. Yoga and daily life are not only about having good asanas, but we have our Gurudev, we have our mantras, and we have the education that we should not destroy this, our globe. Thank you very much, and tomorrow we will come to you again. Om Namaḥ Śivāya. Om Namaḥ Śivāya... Om Namaḥ.
