The Beauty of Unity: A Gathering in Strilky

The current pandemic reflects a shift in the Kali Yuga, serving as a consequence for human actions while highlighting the protection found in spiritual practice. This situation arose globally, uniquely affecting humanity, which may be linked to the widespread torture of animals. Those maintaining a sattvic lifestyle through vegetarianism, yoga, and meditation have remained largely unaffected. Spiritual gatherings create protective vibrations, safeguarding even those nearby. The era contains isolated realms of higher consciousness, akin to Satya Yuga, within the prevailing age. Various yoga paths exist, each valid and beautiful in their diversity, like different trees in a forest. True spiritual progress requires respecting all traditions while remaining steadfast in one's own guru lineage. The guru's light dispels all darkness for the sincere disciple. Our practice is structured in foundational stages, from nurturing children to advanced spiritual discipline, aligning with the development of the human sheaths.

"Perhaps they prayed to God, 'God, why are you allowing this torture? Please, let humans suffer something in this Kali Yuga.' And it has come."

"On the day you have fully accepted your guru, you become light. You can go anywhere there is darkness."

Oṁ Śabdhas Prabhusaraṇ Paras. Oṁ Manasiri Prabhudīpa. Om Śānti, Śānti, Śānti. With the blessings of our Guru Paramparā, I welcome you all beautifully today. I was looking forward to seeing you again. Some have not seen me since December. I know you have all been practicing your yoga in daily life. We are in this very holy place. Our Bhagavān Swāmī Madhavānandajī walked here. Our ashram is pure, clean, and has no negative energy at all. I have been around the world. We all know of this corona; we do not know why or how it happened. But it is said the end of Kali Yuga is approaching. From November it began worldwide. No one could imagine such a thing. I said from the first day that this is happening only to humans, not to any animals. In my lecture in New Zealand, I said what is happening now is only for humans. In my thinking, this is because humans torture animals so much. Many people burn animals alive, not completely, but limb by limb. This torture is not good. These tortured animals are in great pain. Perhaps they prayed to God, "God, why are you allowing this torture? Please, let humans suffer something in this Kali Yuga." And it has come. It affects only humans; no animals suffer from corona. Secondly, I have asked around the world—our bhaktas and others—how many humans who eat only vegetarian food, who do not torture animals, who practice yoga, meditation, and prayers to God, have been affected? They have not been affected very much. I asked all Yoga-in-Daily Life people and other yogis who do not eat meat. How many were affected by coronavirus? I asked around Europe too. Yoga practitioners and vegetarians were not affected, maybe one or two. Do you know any of our yogīs, who are sāttvic and do not eat meat, who were affected? You are from many countries. Please raise your hand if you know someone. So, two people? You were attacked? No, you did not attack; otherwise you would not be alive. Gayatri from Lín? Is she dead? Umřela? No. So, when the air is very cold and you have good clothing, you may still feel cold. If you did not follow the rules, you can be affected. We know things can happen. But if you are humble, spiritual, and clear, you will not be affected like that. If you are not following, then of course it happens. You can see around the world, I hear... you are Czech? Yes, Czech is okay. So, this was something they were cursing everywhere because they did not follow instructions. In the same way, if someone in your house eats meat and you are there, perhaps because of you—because you spread such a nice spiritual vibration—that person is also protected. You include the other person in your spiritual vibration. We know that real practitioners of vegan eating also have their effect and are not much affected. My dear, in this Kali Yuga, there are spots like this one now that are in Satya Yuga. What does that mean? It is still Kali Yuga, but inside there are spots not much affected by it. Many people are now turning to vegetarianism. Many have very beautiful thinking. In this way, so many bhaktas around the world are treated well. I was always praying. I always said, "Mahāprabhujī, Gurujī," in my old prayers. Everywhere I prayed for you all. I am very happy to see you healthy, happy, and relaxed. But I see that all of you are not talking much anymore. Yes, it has an effect. Not that we have the language and do not want to speak; we can talk anytime. Last week, a whole group came here depressed. After satsaṅgs, bhajans, lectures, and our sādhanās, they were no longer depressed. So don’t worry. Be happy. Long ago, about 25 years back in San Francisco, there was a small conference of all yoga centers. The organizers invited me. There were many yoga centers with their books and practices. It is very important that we support any person practicing yoga anywhere. Not only Yoga in Daily Life. Yoga is one. But some masters, disciples, and practitioners give their own name to their path. Why not? We have many yogīs. When there are many different kinds, it is beautiful. Look at the trees here—beautiful and big, yet every tree is different. That is the beauty. We should not say only one yoga is valid. We have many: Sivananda yoga, Yogananda yoga, and our Yoga in Daily Life, and many others. They are good and happy. We should respect each other. It is like a village or city. A small village has a child. The whole city or village has children. How beautiful it is. We would not say only this one child is good and the others are not. In a kindergarten or school, how beautiful it is to see everyone coming with different views and faces. We are sitting here from different countries, with different faces, but we are here together. That is beauty. Therefore, it is Sanātana Dharma—everlasting. It will be forever because it is not only one. We should respect everyone. One has a big company, another a small one. Let them work and live. Similarly, there are many yoga paths in the world. In San Francisco, I was invited to speak for about 20 minutes. Some listened, some did not. It was good. Once I gave a lecture in Czech. There was a big event in your country. Many people from Yoga in Daily Life in Prague asked me to speak for 10-20 minutes. We meet each other; we come together. Many give the name of yoga. Yoga is one, but the names are different. A human is a human, but we have our names. We should come together. I mention this because everyone seems silent and depressed. On the airplane I came on, it was like this. At the airport in New Delhi, everyone was sitting like this. I landed in Germany; again there was a crisis. In Vienna, they checked passports. They said, "Okay," and when I tried to proceed, they said, "No, no, it's okay." It was the same here. Not last week, but the week before, I gave a lecture here. There was a man, now about 70 or 80 years old, whom I met in San Francisco. I was wearing orange robes. He saw me—the only one in orange—and came to me. You know, deer go towards deer, birds to birds, rabbits to rabbits. An Indian came to me. From his pocket, he gave me some dollars and made praṇām. It is a tradition: when you meet sādhus or sannyāsīs, you give something as a sign of respect. He said, "Swamiji, I am doing something. I came here to do something for people." He said, "I will show you, Swamijī. I am a yogī also." I said, "Perfect, very good." He said, "I make everyone happy and relaxed." I said, "How? Just now?" He said, "Around me, all will be relaxed. That's my yoga." Very good. He said, "Now you know, many around the world know this. It's called laughing." Do you know? Raise your hand if you know. Look, they are already laughing. He now comes to yoga conferences in India. On an airplane, he said, "I will make you happy." Some looked, my God. So how does he do it? How happy it makes them. Many of you know now. Let us make us all happy now, okay? How? One, two, three. A little can't get out. But keep it inside you, because people might get angry if we laugh openly. Maybe something comes from us. So, keep it inside without the mouth? How can we laugh without opening the mouth? I have techniques for that. We will do it, but with the mouth closed. Mouth closed. The corona must finish in the mouth. Once more. Oh, you are like a horse. Horse yoga. We are here, and we will have our programs. You have the schedule. We are lucky; for some days there will be nice sun, they said. As we know, we always turn inward. What we give inside to ourselves, our insight, what lies dormant—our sādhanās here will awaken within us peace, harmony, understanding, and all good things. Through that sādhanā, good or bad feelings within us can be changed. We can transform negatives and depressions and bring forth from inside happiness and joy. There are many gurus in the world. It is a great thing that there are so many. One guru comes from the north, another from the south, but all come to that one point. All have different paths. Some are on a highway, some on a small road. One came by airplane, one by car, one by cycle. One day we had heavy rain; another day was clean and sunny. You know difficulties from all directions. But we are all the same; our aim is one, and that aim is where we are going now. We are here on this spot in our āśram, Strilky. Similarly, there are many masters and gurus; we should adore them. But we should know it is a paramparā—a lineage, one after the other. We are there like the Sapta-ṛṣis. This is from Satya Yuga, a long time ago. The residences of the Sapta-ṛṣis, we call in India, are the seven stars. I don't know if you see them, but our astrology says these are the seven ṛṣis. In India, it is said the seed of the seven ṛṣis is seven stars. I don't know if such astrology exists here, but according to Indian astrology, they are seven specific stars in the sky. From them, more ṛṣis come. For example, we know our Ālak Purī Jī. A great person, Kāvīkālidāsa, who lived three hundred years before Christ, wrote much about Alakpurījī. There is a slight language difference; some say Alkapuri, we say Alakapurījī. A large part of the Himalayas is Alakpuri's. It is called the Alakpuri glaciers. Alakpuri is the capital there. It means it is spread more and more in the Himalayas. Many books and literature exist about Ālakpurījī. Ālakpurījī was from Satya Yuga and was very close to Śiva. From Ālakpurījī, I don't know how many disciples he had—maybe a million. But I know there is one river, the Alaknanda River. It meets the Bhagīrathī, and together they become the Gaṅgā. Many other rivers join there. The ṛṣis are like this, but they need not be only in the Himalayas. They can be in many other countries, anywhere. Therefore, we should respect all. But if it is our paramparā, it does not matter from which direction you come; we come here. From Ālakpurījī to us now, today, here: Devpurījī, Mahāprabhujī, our holy gurujīs, and we all together. You are great. I am a little great. I learn from you, and you learn from me. We are one drop, and from many drops we become a big river that flows to the ocean. We are here all like brothers, sisters, gurus, disciples. We should never say, "I am the great one." Someone may say this. I say, "Yes, you are very great." I say again, "Yes, you are great." I say, "Okay, you are great. I make him more great. The balloon is expanding, so please don't put too much air inside." We are the same. So, Yoga in Daily Life is our paramparā. You have your father and mother. You can go to other families, but you are the child of that father and mother. The reality of your child is known. Those who know Bhagavān Kṛṣṇa understand the Bhagavad Gītā. What Kṛṣṇa knows is the Bhagavad Gītā. Others who do not write, how they died, we do not know. Only mothers know who your father is. Similarly, your guru is your guru. When you received the mantra blessing, only once did he say, "You like that blessing, you became that." You can go to satsaṅg, listen to others, but it is not that if my Gurujī is out, I go to that guru. That is wrong. Similarly, it is freedom. That is Sanātana. We should not say, "No, this is not good, this is terrible." How do you know? As long as you say that is not good and that is bad, you are in darkness. Negative or positive? Do you want negative or positive now? Yes, please. Negative? This is negative. That negative we have in the mouth. It means don't talk too much. On the day you have fully accepted your guru, you become light. You can go anywhere there is darkness. The knowledge of your guru is the torchlight; it will show you light always, and all darkness will disappear. We will have our sādhanā. We always begin from the roots. First are the children—the children of tomorrow, the future. We must take care of our children very nicely. Those who will teach the children, tell them one word of yoga. They will listen and come. Give the children happiness, joy, peace, harmony, understanding, and great humility. The second is called Yoga Karma Sukauśalam in the Bhagavad Gītā. Karma is the best. You will be successful if you do this karma yoga. That is the second step. The third is learning yoga. We are teaching yoga; this is the third step. The fourth is for our Yoga in Daily Life teachers. They will give you instructions to become a Yoga in Daily Life teacher. The fifth is our Anuṣṭhān—Kriyā Anuṣṭhān. This is five, like the five prāṇas. The five kośas: Annamaya Kośa, Prāṇamaya Kośa, Manomaya Kośa, Vijñānamaya Kośa, and Ānandamaya Kośa. This is our beautiful program for you. We know which teacher will be with you. They have given all—Gaṅgā, Yamunā, Jamunā—all are there. The program will be nice. I am very happy to see you. Śrī Deep Nāyan Bhagavān kī Devajī Dev, Deveśwar Mahādev, Satguru Swāmī Madhavān jī Bhagavān kī.
