Life means breathing

Breath is life, counted from the first cry. That inhalation opens the body for prāṇa. Our allotted breaths can be shortened by excess or prolonged through practice. The yogī's breath is not counted. Consuming impure substances diminishes lung capacity and life. Pure nourishment is essential. Milk from a healthy, grass-fed animal is like mother's milk, sustaining life. Modern processing and additives corrupt this purity. Seek what is natural and unadulterated.

"Life. But the yogī, the saint, the guru said, 'Yes, God, they have only that much breath, but through our practice and training, we do not count it.'"

"That white milk which comes from those animals is like a mother’s milk. Definitely, you will not get any problems."

This morning we were contemplating and speaking about the breath. When this breath begins to inhale and exhale, it is said—and you know very well—that as long as the embryo is in the mother’s body, everything is sustained through the navel. That is a different state, but everything depends on that connection. When we emerge from the mother’s body, it is crucial that the child immediately begins to breathe. The first inhalation opens the lungs fully, followed by exhalation. Generally, they say to make the child cry. Do not think the child is crying in distress. Why does the child cry? What has happened? It is nature; it has to be so. At that moment, the entire body opens for the prāṇa. This opening is not only through the nostrils and mouth but also through the ears, as our lungs expand and contract. That is why this is considered one of the purest breaths, transmitted from the mother’s body to the child’s. You all know well, and more so doctors and many women, how this happens. From the first day, the newborn can inhale and exhale. This breath is now counted. It is written by Dharmarāja, who said, "You have from this breath till that." The child inhales immediately and then begins to cry. If not, they are made to cry so that our lungs expand and we develop full lung capacity. Imagine a rope. Here on this corner, and till this side, there is a rope. Slowly, slowly, you begin to unwind it from here. The end is there; then, no more. This is a string. I always have my string with me. You see? I do not let it go further. I keep it there. Because one day, when it goes in completely, that is the end. So you should also have this string of the breath. It is said that inhalation and exhalation are life itself. Life. But the yogī, the saint, the guru said, "Yes, God, they have only that much breath, but through our practice and training, we do not count it." Dharmarāja said, "No, no, it doesn’t matter how..." You are inhaling and exhaling, yes, but as the yogī’s breathing is not counted, Dharmarāja said, "Ṛṣi, you are right." Now, the breath in our body brings oxygen. Generally, there is only a certain capacity. It can be shortened or prolonged, and there is a normal state. This, God knows. So, oh man, if you live life normally, then Dharmarāja has given the allotted time. But if you begin to talk excessively, consume alcohol, tobacco, drugs, and many things, then your breath becomes less and less. When the lungs lose their capacity, the breath cannot flow in and out properly. That is the end. It is your choice. Parents should impart this knowledge, but sometimes parents or gurus cannot do anything because of one's destiny. So the breath shortens, and one dies. That is human life. You will not go back. You will go to other kinds of animals, not as a human. It is not that we die and are reborn as humans again. We may believe and want that, but it is not certain. There is a book, Life After Life, but the author did not write about how the soul travels into another kind of life. Yes, he speaks of life after life, but he is only human, so there is a mistake. Our prāṇa, our jīva, our life force and our life—these two are very important. For example, you were just born. You inhale, "Ah," and then you say, "Ah, ah..." Automatically, the lungs develop. You should let your child cry more so the lungs will expand. Otherwise, even when we take in more oxygen by walking in the forest, being near water, driving, or dancing, it cannot be that much. But there are people who practice intensely to increase the strength of inhalation. The second method is from yogic science. They inhale and see how long they can hold the breath, but they keep it very controlled. Do not use force; otherwise, there can be problems. If our capacity is for 20 breaths, then please do only 19 or 18. We should always keep a reserve. For exhalation: exhale and stop. Or for inhalation: fill with oxygen, inhale, inhale, and hold as long as you can. Exhalation can be, say, 10 minutes. With inhalation, do it maybe 15 or 20 times. But we cannot do this after dinner; therefore, practice in the morning before lunch. In the morning, they give you water, coffee, or tea. Coffee and tea also shorten our life. We all drink tea or coffee now. If we do not drink these, then definitely your lungs will become weaker and weaker. Better is milk, but it should be the pure milk from the animal—perhaps a goat, cow, or buffalo. If they are pure and well-nourished, then it is best. The best food for them is green grass, but not with chemicals inside that enter our lungs and body. Many people nowadays, you know, have become vegans. That is why they are not drinking milk, no yogurt, no butter. The first reason is because many things are mixed into it. In Europe, it is still somewhat good. You can have your goat or your cow; they will say nothing. They only come and check if your cow is healthy. But in other countries, some will not give their milk at all, even from dairies or their own homes. Your own cows on your farm are very good, but still they will not take this milk to give to your children or yourself. They give this milk to the dairy, and I do not know whether they mix many things or not—chemicals, etc. That milk is not good. So people said, "But we want to have real milk." They were told, "Yes, don’t drink milk, and not yogurt. Make this." But you can use milk for washing your body. In the bathtub, they put milk with water for washing. In no case give the children milk for drinking. You get milk for drinking from the shop. So people in Australia were eating. Why not? They know. It is not wrong, and so they got all milk more for washing. Someone makes a little hole. People are drinking coffee, tea, this milk water, which is not for washing, but it is real water and milk. So what they do is they put some kind of chemical inside, clean and good, from the milk of the cow, but they add something. If you drink that milk, coffee, or tea with or without coffee, etc., they have Saṅkt Prakṣālana. Do you know what Saṅkt Prakṣālana is? Then tell something. So you drink, and in ten minutes we have to go to the bathroom. People get angry, but no, it goes like that. That milk, that yogurt, that butter is completely different from what you get directly from the cows. The same thing occurs with the milk: you are mixing something into it. Our doctor, Shanti—she is not here—said that in Europe when she visits, she cannot drink coffee or tea with European milk. Even if there is a cow on a farm and you can get milk, that milk is also not good because they are giving the cow a different kind of food. When she comes to India, beginning from Jaipur, from Jadan, she enjoys drinking her coffee with our milk and everything. So this affects our body differently. That white milk which comes from those animals is like a mother’s milk. Definitely, you will not get any problems. Even donkey’s milk, elephant’s milk, goat’s milk, camel’s milk, etc., becomes like mother’s milk. Especially when sometimes some women do not produce milk properly, the best milk for the children is goat milk. You can boil it, filter it, and give that milk. That is very healthy goat milk. Sometimes they do not like the smell, but that is a different matter. Now, this is about the second milk, which is from what we call the trees. There is one joke, but a real joke, asking a question. Sometimes people come and ask questions. So it is said: How many different kinds of milk are there? Tell me. First, let us say: pīla milk, māikā—mother’s milk. Pela milk maikā. Dujā milk? Gaikā. Je kravské. All these cows with four legs. The third milk is from vegetation: soya, etc. And the fourth milk, from where is it coming? First milk: mothers. Second milk: gyakas, meaning all animals. Third milk is from whom? Fourth milk is from whom? Think it over. If not, you say, "Yeah, yeah, you have to bring me a cup of milk." Yes. All vegetation also has milk, so this is even from grass. And animals like mother cow, buffalo, elephant, etc. And our own mother’s fourth milk, from where can you get it? That is great. There, you see, it is coming from milk. So, think it over. Maybe at night, somebody says, "Swāmījī said this, but I don’t know." But I will tell you that nobody here knows, because I know. I will tell something, and everybody said, "Yes, yes, yes, they should go with a cup of milk." They are not only saying, "Yeah, yeah." That is a very great thing. So that milk, which is for the mothers—and this is all mothers—and when we are changing different things, mixing insects, it is not good. There is another question, and this is one question also. I will ask Mr. That, what is your father’s name? Yes, Squirrel. So I will tell him only Squirrel, squirrel. Okay, I give him a yoga name. So it is something very good. One person comes, and because one... The person is a very intelligent upāsaka. Very intelligent, learned everything. Anything you can ask, oh my God, he is the best, very good. So, holy Gurujī said, once a sādhu came and he was talking. He said to Gurujī, "I can do everything. I can talk about everything." And then he said to Gurujī, "What is it, Gurujī? Can you ask me? I ask you and your question." So first he asked me, and Gurujī answered everything. Then Gurujī said, "You are a great one. My God! You are a great one." He said, "Yes, Gurujī, yes, yes. Have you learned everything?" "Yes, my dear. Very good. Then please, sit down. My question to you: Can you tell what is the distance between the earth and the sky? What is the difference between earth and sky? Then, sit down." He said, "Billions?" "Did you measure it?" "No, but the audience is that much." Gurujī said, "When you know everything, then tell me only one question: the distance from the Earth to the sky." Of course, I have not given anybody this knowledge still. But Mr. Squirrel, he is a great man, and he will give the answer after three days. I give you time for three days. Three means: first is you, second is earth, and third is what is the distance between? So on the third day, Mr. Squirrel, you come today for your granddaughter? It is okay, then she will be happy. So, like this, prāṇa—what I am talking about—prāṇāyāma. And what are we actually talking about? Prāṇāyāma? About prāṇāyāma? Inhale. Exhale. Inhale. Yes, that is how it is going: anuloma, viloma. We will make the prāṇāyāma. So this prāṇa, he Prāṇ Nāth we call, he Prāṇ Nāth. Prāṇa and Nāth means God. Prāṇa is our life force, and Nāth is our ātmā, our soul, our life, our God. So the fourth milk and the distance between space and ground. Tomorrow, so please, those who have the third day, I give you two nights: tomorrow whole day, whole night, and the next day you come and bring, and I will measure. My measuring is that then I will say to you, "You sit, hey, hey,... go out." Yes. So I will give you the complete, exact distance. Om Śrī Dīp Nārāyaṇa Bhagavān kī. So these three or four things about milk. And that milk, how is it? We are doing, maybe our government and all, they are saying they are doing good, but it is not real. We should take good grass; this grass is available everywhere. Why should we put chemicals inside? Let them be free, get the milk free, etc. Nowadays, they are making milk from urea. You know urea? And did you drink the urea milk? Oh yes. Who was it in India? Did you drink the milk on the Indian train? At the hotels? 90% urea. For my country, I can say no. Yes. And the government is very against it. But the people who are making that, and you know, the best, very best kind of, what is that? More. There are many, many things, all mixed, mixed, mixed. Therefore, you people should live here. And your neighbor here, they have very good milk, they say. Our government wants that there be no kind of infection or anything in their milk. That is why they are doing it, not because they are happy to do it like this. They do it because they are afraid that there will be no infection in the milk. They do not just do it because they would like to; they are afraid of those infections. Water is also treated similarly. So now we will be from a different time. We will be some ages. We will be only urea. Because urea is coming from the earth, now open up the sky. Everything is from the earth, so it is okay. The grapes are good. We eat the grapes very beautifully. But we are making a difference, then we become alcohol. So, is that what we are mixing here? Live happily. All the best. So please, if anyone thinks that I have done wrong to your country or anywhere, to any companies, forgive me.
