The living wisdom of Gurudev

The light of the Guru is the eternal flame present after the sun sets. This flame is invoked through mantras bowing to the divine light. All are one in devotion, and prosperity encompasses health and good feelings. Spiritual practice is simple and powerful. Personal health challenges arose from dietary neglect and inconsistent routine, leading to diabetes. Recovery came through conscious diet, disciplined eating intervals, and the dedicated practice of Sarvahitāsana for two hours daily. This universal exercise is the best medicine, promoting health for all ages. A healthy body supports a healthy consciousness. True yoga extends beyond postures to spirituality and prayer. The Guru's grace is essential for all spiritual progress. Maintaining a pure, vegan lifestyle was observed to offer protection during widespread illness. Ultimately, all support comes from within, guided by the Guru.

"Oṁ Namaḥ Śrī Prabhu Dī. Oṁ Namaḥ Śrī Prabhu Dī."

"Śrī Guru Ātmā, Paramātmā ho, Mātmā Puruṣa ho, sakal jag ke yantra so Śrī Guru."

Filming location: Slovenska, Slovenia

Oṁ, Śaraṇa Pārāyaṇam. Oṁ Namaḥ Śrī Prabhu Dī. This is a mantra, a prayer, a request to Mahāprabhujī, to Gurujī. "Oṁ Namaḥ." Oṁ we know. "Namaḥ" means "I bow down to Oṁ Mahāprabhujī." Oṁ Namo Prabhu. "Prabhu" is God. Prabhu, Oṁ Prabhu, Dīpa Nirañjana. "Dīpa" is this flame. The flame is named Mahāprabhujī. This is the light, always. When the sun goes down, then this flame is Mahāprabhujī’s light. This is the light. As soon as the sun sets, this flame is with us. Mahāprabhujī is in the flame. Oṁ namo śrīprabhu dīpa nārāyaṇam. Mahāprabhujī and Nārāyaṇa is Viṣṇu. This is a very powerful, very nice mantra. And so sure is that. Oṁ Namaḥ Śrī Prabhupāda Vanāra. Oṁ Namaḥ Śrī Prabhupāda. Oṁ Namaḥ Śrī. "Ham sab." "Ham" means we, "sab" means all. So we all are in oneness. Oṁ namo śrī. "Śrī" means prosperity. "Śrī" means good health. Śrī means prosperity, which means not only money, but good health, good life, good feelings, everything. Hama sab prabhu. Oṁ namo śrī prabhu dīpa. Hama sab dāsa prabhu. So, "hama sab dāsa"—all are Thy devotees, Your Bhaktas, etc. Oṁ Namo Śrī Prabhu Dīpa Nārāyaṇam. Prabhu Dīpa. Mahāprabhujī is there. So, we are all together praying to God, and God gives us everything. Definitely, it will be. And so we all bow down to Gurudeva. This is very beautiful, very powerful, very good, and very simple—this language, this bhajan or mantra. Miraculous, very powerful, so it’s not hard to remember. Oṁ Namaḥ Śrī Prabhu Dī. Oṁ Namaḥ Śrī Prabhu Dī. Hama Sabhā Dāsa Prabhu Śaraṇa Pārāyaṇam... Oṁ namaḥ śrī prabhu śrī masabdhas prabhu śaraṇa pārāyaṇam śaraṇa pārāyaṇam bhajans gurudeva. Hari Oṁ. There are many blessings for Mother. Hari Oṁ. Jai Oṁ. He Gaganagar Charanare Bahi, Gaganagar Charanare Bahi... This bhajan is a beautiful bhajan, and our Narabdha from Slovenia, she likes this bhajan very much. I think I will see her tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. All my dear ones, all sisters, brothers, all Bhaktas, this is a beautiful time that we are all together here. Yoga is not only āsanas and prāṇāyāmas. But also, āsanas and prāṇāyāmas are very important for our body. You should also make, sometimes, experiment. I did it a few times, and it was very, very helpful. Now, I want to tell you, because many people are asking this and that. They say, "Swāmījī, you look very weak." I’m not weak. For about eight to nine months, I’m on the śālā. And unfortunately, you know, I got our disease, what we call it, diabetes. And somehow it was, I was a little bit neglected. Only because someone said, "Because of my tooth barriers, don’t take sugar," but take some other sugar. So, it is nearly... you can see how many years I was taking this other sugar. And that became the disease. And then, after more and more, something takes this and then takes this, and one said, "Take a little injection, it will be good." And so, in the beginning, it is very good, but after taking the injections and so, now it is very difficult to get rid of it. But we are trying, I am trying, I am trying. Sorry. And then also I was making too many journeys, and there is a lot of exercise lost. Of course, I was then tired a little bit—more lectures and walking, etc. Then I said, "Oh, myself," so I again came to another diet, very good, and again I went the same path, so not making āsanas and this, that, more talking, this, that, and, of course, I need also to have a rest. Again, such a disease comes. So this year, really, I made it very consciously so that I was doing my diet. Salad, but not only the leaves of the salad, you know. There are many different kinds of seeds of some fruits or something. Salad and all these things, it is very tasteful. Because I have taken the insulin, I have to eat chapati, but only one chapati, and a very thin chapati. And when someone makes chapati for me a little thick, then I eat only half. And so, slowly, slowly, my sugar went really good down. But still, it doesn’t give up. But it’s okay. But when sugar comes into the body, all kinds of diseases come. And it is said, this is this, and there is this, there is this... There is that. Go to the doctor. The doctor tells this: "How is your this?" Many, many diseases. Once I was sitting in the aeroplane, and some person was there beside me, and he said, "You are a yogī, and you are Swāmījī, and this and you have this kind of disease." I said, okay. And really, with concentration, I was feeling very powerfully that now I will not eat any chapatis. No bread, no this, no many, many things, no, and eat only three times. The disease coming for us is that every half hour or something, we are putting something in the mouth. That is the disease. Once, when we want to sit for our meal, then eat what you want to eat, and then about four hours between, nothing except water. And so it happened that my body became a little thin. There was a big pumpkin, you know, big, under my shirt, and so that I divided everybody. So, let’s say 75% remained out. Then I began also to practice yoga. Because when I am on an aeroplane going to one country, there are big trees there, and also a different time. But then I said, "I will practice," and really, I began to practice our yoga that night. This, what you know, everybody, this exercise, and that I said, what is that? These are Sarvahitāsana, and you know all of our Sarvahitāsana. Sarvahitāsana. "Sarva" means all, "Sarvahitta," "Hitta" means for ourselves, for us. So these all exercises, the best for us, is the Sarvahitāsana. Now, I begin that, and really, every morning, early, two hours I am practicing Sarvahitā āsana. Every day. And so, otherwise, before, I mean, my legs were swollen and now became so thin. Very nice. This is very important. So I went to the doctor’s, saw the blood pressure and everything in blood, and, "This is okay, that’s okay, that’s... okay." Your disease? There’s no disease in the body. Etc. The diabetes. And he said, "Doctor, that is 80% of your medicines have gone down." So again I say to myself, you should have willpower. Everyone is doing everything, but we should, our body, for that we should do it two hours. In any case, half an hour is nothing. So, this is the first thing I wanted to tell you now. Second point, the postures, yoga, are good for the young people. Or, if one is constantly practicing āsanas, then one can do heavy exercises. So, Sarvahitā āsana is the best, and that is the best medicine. And it is for everyone; anyone can do it, even a 98-year-old person sitting in a chair, like Vasiṣṭha. And do the exercises, Sarvahitāsan, all. And some things, lie down, relax, and do Sarvahitā āsana. So this is a very, very best and good Sarvahitā āsana. So, you know all. Just, we do like this. Not like this. Hold like Vasiṣṭha holds his hand. No one can put him out. Yes. Now, only first we think. But if you can feel, when we make our fist strong, it’s going to tilt the whole arm and armpit. And then this way, yes, Croatians and Slovenians, they are making very nice, what do they call it, something from tomatoes and this, ajvar, doing like this, doing like this, doing like this. So, it was one, then this, then this, then that, yeah, then this, slowly, not like that, and then this, that, then this. Hold your hand only like this. After two minutes, you will say, "Ah." So, all that we are doing is this, then this one. And this kind of movement, which, you know, everything, you know everything. But these are the real postures, exercises. So, you know, tilt our legs, the toes, we are also tilted with the toes, we are doing like this, no? Everything is very nice, we are working, and after four days, if you do it freely every day, and after four days if you do not do it one day, you will not feel good. Either you will do it in the evening, or the next day you will say, "No, I must do my exercise." And so, you know, there are many. You lie down, and this relaxes, and this side, and this. All is Sarvahitāsana. And that in the body, whatever problems or pain we have, it all becomes healthy. But of course, there are some diseases that are different. But I can say that 88% of Sarvahitāsana will make you very healthy. And haldi powder, this haldi, two or three teaspoons, the haldi we must eat in our stomach every day. And then we can do the prāṇāyāma. And we should not go to pranayama one day half this and the next day this and this, only one. Agni Sarva Kriyā, Agni Sarva Kriyā. Who don’t know what is the name, Agni Sarva? Who don’t know? Hand up, please. Who don’t know? So, who doesn’t know Agni Sarva Kriyā? Then you are the best. Then why should you sometimes say, "Oh, my problems," and, "These problems, they are not doing"? So this is the Sarvahitā Āsana. Then, other āsanas we should do if we can. This Yadrāsana, I am also doing. Before, I could not do any, so this is also a very, very good. Paul, and now when I want to tell you that service, the service, is awesome, is that I’m really my rāchī? Show Sāraḥ Hīṭaḥ, sir. Śāśaṁ, you mean Sāraḥ Hīṭaḥ? Sunny head, hands it story, Nāglāvī, sir. Śāśaṁ, and long ago, about let’s add to 20 years. Maybe 20 years in Australia, I know every day I was doing, and one day suddenly I felt very strong pain in my knee or in my neck, and I gave up. But when the head standing we cannot do, then we should have some different kind of exercise. But now I saw they made some. Kind of table, and there, get head inside, and it’s a hard thing like this, and beautiful feeling. Head is hanging there, and that’s a very, very good, immediately again. Our eyes, my eyes are better, many, many, many things. So, about one month, I am doing it every day. About now, I came to the 11 seconds. Minutes, sorry. Yes, two times or three times. Come again, and you can go back. So, it is said, the best thing is that our body should be healthy. If the body is healthy, then our consciousness is also healthy. And eat, but only once, and then for four hours, nothing eating. No fruits, nothing. So in this way, our yoga in daily life, many, many things, and our exercises, our books, are sold to many people, I don’t know, many of them, anywhere. In China, they have, I don’t know how many books they made. For Chinese, it doesn’t matter if it’s copyright or no copyright. And if you make a case for them, it doesn’t matter. Nothing. So it is in many things. Exercise is very good, and our pranayama and yoga is not only this. What we call is not āsanas and pranayama. Finally, is that spirituality? And there is a very... our Mahāprabhujī’s one disciple, his name was Śivānandjī, and he, his prayer, what he made as a prayer for Mahāprabhujī’s. And you have in this book our mantra and prayers, but this is very important and very good. People are surprised how this person has done the prayer, how it is. That he made all in one. And that is not Śrī Guru Ātmā. Śrī Guru Ātmā, Paramātmā ho, Mātmā Puruṣa ho, sakal jag ke yantra so Śrī Guru, Śrī Gurudev, Śrī Gurudev, Śrī Guru Ātmā. You know what is ātmā, everybody? Who doesn’t know? Hand up. We all know. So, Śrī Guru Ātmā, Param Ātmā, and that is the highest, the Param Ātmā. Śrī Guru Ātmā, Param Ātmā, Ho Mahātmā, and that is a great Mahātmā. This Śrī Guru Ātmā, Paramātmāho mātmā puruṣottamā sakala jag ke antaryāmī carācarakīyā ca. What a wonderful, what a wonderful, just in two lines. Nab rūpa vyāpo satya vyāpo vimalā chetanā hat. Nab rūpa: "nab" means the sky, blue sky. Sometimes we see the sky so clearly. Yes, that is the mind, conscious feelings, etc. Through this prayer, it makes you clean, all like a blue sky. But when we go to the sky, in the sky there is no color, but that week we will talk after time. Rūpa Vyāpo Satya Vyāpo. That is the truth. So in this way is our Yoga and daily life. Now, in this way, and that you are all practicing here and doing with Swāmījī, yoga—everything we call our yoga practice—but mostly you all are coming to that Parabrahma, Brahmātmā, that we want to become Parabrahma Ātmā. There are so many exercises, techniques, many, many... many things now. But there is Guru Kṛpā. Without Guru Kṛpā, nothing can be. So it is said, Brahmā, Viṣṇu, Maheśvara, they all, but above them is the Guru. So, next point I want to say that this year is a very dark year. It made all completely down, and you know how many millions and millions of people died. And I made the research. I asked all my yoga teachers, I, students, and practice nurses, and so on, who do not eat meat, no eggs, no alcohol, and practicing āsanas, prāṇāyāmas, and prārthanā, guru bhakti. So around the whole world, maybe two or three people are affected, otherwise no one. Similarly, I asked many other yoga practitioners, other yogīs, some said yes, they did not have this corona. Because they are eating meat, practicing yoga and this, but eating this meat and this, that is why. Then ask all vegans who are eating. So there are two kinds of vegans. Some people, from time to time, go with some friends: "Let’s go eat at a vegan restaurant." Then they go home, eat the meat, and eat and eat. But those who are really at home, at the aeroplane, in the restaurant, they are eating vegan, they did not get this disease. So we should be very careful, and we should be healthy. And this, we have our instrument. Where is my, yeah, this instrument, you know. Sometimes I go with little children, hello. In the Adriatic coast, somewhere hanging there. But now we have here. This is not for you. It’s not for you, but from others, what they are bringing. That’s why we are closing. So we should really translate very nicely, and we should keep it. And the family member is also not very close always, so this is... Our health is very important, so this is how, and of course our Gurū Dev is always there. You and me, we are equal. We are here, and I help you and you help me. Thank you. So we all wish on ourselves and our friends and all that, Mahāprabhujī, please give us long life so that we can make seva and seva for others also. That we can do everything for others and for ourselves. Gossiping something, this, backbiting something. Ask them how many mistakes they have. So we think that in our face we don’t have black spit. But look on the back side, what it is. That’s called backbite. Some ideas. I wish you all the best. I think I will be two, three days here, and the program will be... The other people are waiting also, but I am here. That will be, and we will see again as it is. So, wish you all the best, and... Think within thyself. First, we should clean out our dust. Whatever we take from outside is just nothing. Everything is within ourselves, and from inside we are taking care of ourselves. Temporarily, we give to others, and we get from others. But constantly, it is only we who can do it ourselves. With all this, I wish you all the best, good health, peace, harmony, and spiritual development. That we can come to that Cosmic, whatever is good. Sometimes I am thinking, what will I do in the Cosmic? There is nobody. I cannot call anybody. I cannot see anything. Neither up, neither side, neither up, down, nothing. And we will say, "My God, why did I go there?" Even we don’t have a body. We don’t have eating. Nothing, nothing. Thinking. Where am I? So think over. Yes, so better we come again to the earth. So from the winter to the summer, our earth is beautiful and very good. Everything is here. O Guru Brahma, Guru Viṣṇu, Guru Devo Maheśvara, Guru Sākṣāt Parabrahma, Tasmai Śrī Gurave Namaḥ. Dhyāna Mūlaṁ Guru Mūrtiḥ, Pūjā Mūlaṁ Guru Pādam, Mantra Mūlaṁ Guru Vākyaṁ, Mokṣa Mūlaṁ Guru Kṛpā. Śāntiḥ, Śāntiḥ, Śāntiḥ.
