Try to become a real Yogi

Yoga is a complete spiritual path beyond physical exercise. We must remain vigilant and protective during this pandemic, praying for all beings. Yoga's true essence is found in ancient teachings and sāttvic living, not merely in postures. India is a sacred land of incarnations, yet every country is holy, as all earth is one Mother. We must transcend divisions, see the one God in all traditions, and live with love and forgiveness. The current times demand inner spiritual work, not external ritual. True yoga leads to the soul, confronting mortality and ethical living, like the sacredness of the body and organ donation. Become a yogī who gives and embodies this wholeness.

"Yoga is not only āsanas and prāṇāyāmas. Yes, this is gymnastics."

"Therefore, yoga leads to everyone. First, to health, and not only physical. Not only mental, but spiritualities in the soul."

Dear sisters, brothers, all yoga practitioners, all bhaktas, and all people on the spiritual path, blessings of Gurudev to you. I know many people are sending messages, wanting to have satsaṅg. It was said for a few days, meaning a two-day satsaṅg, but satsaṅg must continue more, and every day will be satsaṅg. All bhaktas from different parts of the world know what is happening now. Some people think there is little corona, and somewhere it is like a wind where the wind is running. But we should not think it is no more. We must, for a long time still, give protection to our whole family, our neighbors, our street, our city, and the whole world. We pray for all humans, animals, and forests, that God please give us blessings again, that we will not make mistakes again. This is a different time. In some countries, the sun is just rising, like in New Zealand and Fiji. And there is also in China, our fort, and they made one more yoga center, so there are five yoga centers in China. I bless them all, and we congratulate all in China that they are practicing yoga in daily life and have Mahāprabhujī’s altars there. I wish them all to continue to pray to Mahāprabhujī at his altar. Furthermore, they are spiritual. We know in America, and we go to Mexico and Cuba, where there are about four to five thousand practitioners there. So, in Europe and everywhere, I am very happy and I am blessed by our Guru Paramparā that this light of the Guru lives in the whole world. We are happier than a few years before. Our Dr. Shantijī from Austria practiced and worked very hard in the Himalayas, and she brought us to Ālagpurījī’s place. It is from the source of the Alaknandā river, and there is a cave, one of the caves of Alakpurījī. We are very thankful to Dr. Shanti that she has brought all to the complete practice of yoga. Yoga is not only āsanas and prāṇāyāmas. Yes, this is gymnastics. You can say gymnastics, you can say āsanas. I know that around the whole world now, many people—millions and millions—are practicing yoga. In that, more in the Western countries, like we have yoga in Delhi life, there is Sivanandajī’s. Then, many other masters are practicing yoga very concentrated. Sometimes it seems we are learning from the Western world, but we know that our Prime Minister of India, in the last few years, many years… he brought all the knowledge of yoga to the whole world. Due to him again, people have awoken, the Indians also. But, my dear, it’s not only like that. There are only some people like that. But there are many, many ancient yoga teachers and yoga centers. Many, many great saints, many, many ṛṣis have their ashrams, and that’s called the yoga techniques, yoga practice, etc. They are all very sāttvic. Sāttvic means eating good food, no drugs, no alcohol, no meat, no eggs, no fish. People are living in divinity. So there are many sādhus and swāmīs in India, everywhere. They are not visible to us. Those who are doing visible work have made so many centers, and like this, they are also coming, bringing Western people. It’s going good. But it is said that Bhārat, India, is that country where there is the holy, the spiritual, etc. All incarnations of the great Ṛṣis and God from age to age are in India. Why are they the gods on the earth of India? You know that we all call her Mother Earth. Don’t be proud of me or you. Don’t be proud of the people. But we people are all admiring our Earth, our land. Where there is mine, there is God. It comes to God, not God, the gold. Similarly, everywhere is mostly that, and that is the source of yoga. So, not yoga āsanas and prāṇāyāmas, but there are other, more techniques, and many yogic, for example, Śrīmad Bhagavad Gītā. It has 18 chapters, and this 18th chapter is the 18th yoga chapter. Before also, there was very much. So we have to see what we are doing. We are just telling, "My country, his country, their countries." But the birds don’t tell. Animals do not detain, because only earth is earth, the air is the air, water is water, and fire is fire. This all is in our holy mother, this earth, and on that, that is those yogīs who are walking there on the earth. And their holy feet are on the holy earth. All countries, the whole world, every country is holy. Everything that should be holy is everywhere on the earth. So, say we are in Czechoslovakia, or Austria, Germany, London, France, America, everywhere. All is one earth, and that is the Holy Mother. So the earth and space, everything is there. Come, come, come. We humans sometimes get forgotten, and we try to do something, sometimes not good. We are fighting, killing. But you know, when we kill someone, we don’t know where we will again be born. And where you will kill some people, next time you will be born there. So, who are you? Who are we? That it is only mine? Again, I want to say we are not only. It is our Mother Earth. The five elements. So, in this year, these many years, what we are in a situation, we don’t know where we should work, where we should go. We are going into our house, we have closed the house, we are full of fear. Many people are mentally out of it. Parents, children, everyone. But it is said that God is God, and we should pray to God. God is only one. Language is different. Humans are talking differently, but God is one, because there is only one sun, one moon, and one space everywhere. Therefore, we shall tell ourselves, "Oh my mind, let me live in happiness with all our brothers and sisters, with love, respect, understanding, and helping." Not only are we reading in the books? They are very good. Even the Vedas are good. Rāmāyaṇa is good. Bhagavad Gītā is good, the Koran is good, our holy Bible, they all are the best and very good. They are giving us real knowledge. They are always saying we are God, we should take care of God, and why are we fighting? Similarly, my dear, if I come back again, there are many, many techniques of yoga, and many don’t know; we don’t know what it is. Therefore, we shall give our love to all creatures, forgiveness. Anyone, anything, forgive, please. We should forgive them. That is this. You know that in the Bible, Jesus said, "Be humble." Be good. If someone gives a slap on your one face, you can show your other side of your face. This is this. Who has that much power now in us? Do we have the power now? Have you power now, but Jesus hates us? Even the words we use are like a knife. How can we hate Jesus and the Holy Mother? The time is coming when we will all think a lot about Jesus, the Holy Mother, and many festivals, also in India, like Dīpāvalī, Holī, and many, many others. Now is the festival of the Divine Mother, nine days. Nine Divine Mothers. And now, in this time, we should be very, very careful, and we should go to receive the blessing of the Goddess Mother. So, my dear, yoga is not that you bring your yoga mat, lie down, relax, then make stretching your bodies, up and down, and this and this and many things, and prāṇāyāma, and a little close eyes and say, "Oh, very nice." That is just the thing. If you are a yoga and yogī practitioner and yoga teacher, give them that knowledge. And you know, my dear, nowadays, these days, the humans are not stupid. They know everything. So we have to go from them, that we can help them with something more inside. They, for example, any man who will come to the church, he or she, they will bow down. Even the prime minister of the prime minister. The greatest of the greatest, or we are bowed to Allāh. Mālik, or we go to Bhagavān, God. Brahmā, Viṣṇu, Śiva, etc. So it doesn’t matter how high we are in knowledge and everything, but finally we touch our head to the other mother earth, in the heel and feet of the gods. Who is giving you that? Why are people not so spiritual now? Because those who created people said, "We are learned, and we know that we are professors, we are doctors, we are this." My dear, after that, after all this, we have to… lie down on the earth. May it go in the water or in the fire, or be eaten by animals, or under the earth. What are you there? Who are you? Now, what will we learn about further? Our mother, our father—we should always, always take from them that kind of knowledge that we can go further to the highest of the cosmic. Day by day we are getting older and older. We do some kind of exercises and take some kind of medicines, but still time is there. Even if we are very strong and very healthy, the time is there; on that day we have to go. Therefore, oh humans, practice that kind of yoga which is the highest yoga, not my yoga practice, not your yoga practice, not their yoga. People, more or less, people—this is nothing. Ātmā. So to our ātmā. And ask our heart, "Oh, my dear heart." How many do I have to count yet? From the mother’s body, how long will we go? Oh God, please, what will be after? Therefore, yoga leads to everyone. First, to health, and not only physical. Not only mental, but spiritualities in the soul, ātmā, paramātmā, were great. Therefore, Mahāprabhujī’s disciple Śivānandajī is saying: "Śrī Guru Ātmā Paramātmā Om Ātmā Puruṣottama Sakala Jag Ke Antara Jāmī, Cāracara Kī Ātmā Nābha Rūpa Vyāpā Satyāyāpā Vimala Cetanāyātamā." What a wonderful prayer this is. Everything in this one prayer, we have got everything. Ages and ages, many, many years, only this only we are in this globe of the whole universe. So we read the books, holy books, other books, every book we should need very much, but that book is… Given Gurudev, and that Gurudev’s book is given us in our heart. Therefore, my dears, learn what is yoga. Come, what is yoga? Then many people are running and making many, many conferences, etc. What is that? What are you giving us that we will really get in our heart? My dear, therefore, take care of yourself. Take care of your body. Because everything is within you, and after that, nothing is there. When the soul is gone, nothing, nothing. One sādhu from the corona died. A very good, very good sādhu. He was good, my friend, very close to me. So within five days, he died. And a very strong man, everything. A big ashram. And etc. So they took him to the hospital, a second hospital, and finally he died. They wrapped him in plastic and some cloth and put it on one side. How many humans have died from the corona? So there were about 10, 15, or 100 that were lying there in hospitals. So one of our sādhus, I know him also, so he went there to the hospital to take him to his ashram for the samādhi. So they said, "Take it, anybody." He said, "No, no, we are not anybody. Our Swāmījī, our one Sādhujī, please let me save him." So they just opened a little bit; the doctor was not there. Sad. Very sad. When they opened his body, the eyes were not there. The heart took it out, the kidney took it out, whatever is in the body is usable. And again, close your eyes and take it. Why are the doctors? Did they ask? Even if it’s a sādhu, they can ask to go to his ashram. It is unbelievable. For them, it’s just like vegetable cutting. What will be like that in their life also, who is doing that like this? And what do they do further? They are selling. Well, someone is good, healthy, but a person needs some kind of organs. But it’s not good. We should be really human, and very rare are like that, to see someone. So, my dear, we should know what we do and how we will do. Therefore, become a yogī, and a yogī must have the heart that will never do any such things like this. Or they should write a letter. There are many people who, before they die, say, "Please, all my organs which are usable, I give them." We have here our doctor, Oza, here in the Czech Republic, and he’s from Jaipur, and his father was a great person. I know he was here, his father, twice here in the Ashram of Strylka, and Oza is also very close to us, and we know. And his father, during this corona. But when he was alive, he wrote and said, "Please, all organs of my body, where they are usable, please give them to the people." But poor people, ill people, for them. That’s okay. Otherwise, not like that. So, my dear, yoga. Yoga is a complete yoga. Not our twisting money’s hand and left, and this. And not like this and everything. Let’s come to our brain to seek. And there are so many yogīs, so many sādhus, and so on. They are not sādhus, not yogīs like that. The family and all the family members, they are like holy children. So, all my dear brothers and sisters around the whole world who are listening, I pray to you. I respect you. I tell you, please, we shall be that kind of yogī. And if I made something wrong and you are not accepting, give it back to me. I want to only give, so I want that I become a yogī. I’m trying to become a yogī, but I know that I am. And you know, many will come and attack us. For good things, everybody is attacking. The good, good fruits of the tree we are taking. The good mushrooms on the street, in the forest, we will take. So, we are, how to say, very much for taking only, licking only. But we should take good. We should not take the good? We should take the good, but which kind of good also we take? And we should give to others also, something. That is a yogī, that is a yoga, that is a human, that is a life, and that is this Holy Mother. With all this, I wish you all the best, and tomorrow again I will come to you, and I am looking forward to seeing you all. Definitely, I am listening to you, to what you are talking to me. At least you know, if you are listening to me, I am talking to you, my brothers, sisters, and our Gurudev. Gurudev is telling us, "Thank you, thank you, and once more, thank you." Oṁ Namaḥ Siddhi Prabhupāda. Oṁ Namaḥ Siddhi Prabhupāda...
