In the end we all will be together

A morning satsang address reflecting on global travels, spiritual lineage, and universal teachings.

"Humans, we are here and there; we are moving. But we should understand that we are human. It doesn't matter from which country... all are one: human."

"And if you have a guru, you got mantras, then you are forever. You have a child forever."

Swami Ji welcomes the sangha after extensive travels, sharing experiences from ashrams in Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji. He speaks on unity beyond nationality, the guru-disciple relationship, parenting, and the cyclical nature of life, rejecting permanent concepts of heaven and hell. He concludes by connecting the assembly to the Alakpuriji lineage and invites questions.

A Morning Address to the Sangha Good morning, all dear brothers, sisters, and children. Welcome. I am very happy to see you. It has been a long time since we met together. Some people here are nearly only one year old. Around the end of December, I went to Europe again and stayed for about one and a half months. Many bhaktas came with me to India. Afterwards, I went to Australia. There are many, many bhaktas and many āśramas there. I think you should all go with me one time when we travel through Australia. It is vast, from one end to the other. In the West, they say it is touching the Indian Ocean. We have our ashram there, and I have visited many times. The water has very high waves and is very, very beautiful. There are very big birds on the beach, and also very big fish—sharks—that can swallow a human without any problem. So when you come, we should only go in up to our knees. The waves come up high and can knock us down. But of course, the Australians are learned and play in the water a lot. In the exact middle of Australia, we have an ashram that is about five years old. I planted a very nice tree there, a beautiful peepal tree from India. There is a stone with something written about me, and also a very holy rock. No one should take stones from that rock, but some people do and bring them home. Then negative things happen in their houses, so they have to send the stones back by post. The postman knows what this is and why. So there are many stones there because people just throw them back. That rock is a holy rock from the Aboriginal people. At certain times, or once a year, they come there for a festival. When the sunrise is like gold, the sunset on that side is also like gold, just like in the Himalayas. I was brought from there in special vehicles, like pavilions. Only two persons should be driving outside; you can put your luggage in the back, but no one should sit there. We were about 40 people, and it took us about 10 days to cover half of Australia. There were very few trees, no water, only a little bush. There is one very nice road there because armies from many countries bring their troops for training. They are about one or two kilometers apart. Unfortunately, there are also many cows; they slaughter them there and transport them. There are many different kinds of snakes. Some snakes, if they bite you, you should make yourself comfortable in a yoga posture, and you will be gone—the venom acts so quickly. There was one place with very special stones. They are digging somewhere, and it is very hot, so the people working there have underground rooms. That was also an experience. There is also a very long, big salt lake. It is so far we cannot see where it ends. That was a good experience for us too. Then we came back by car and aeroplane. In that way, I have been traveling since 1952. Other countries are also beautiful, like Mexico. It is very beautiful, with so many cacti—it's another life. But always, you are in my mind. I know that many of you are in touch via telephone and letters. Many of our disciples from Czechoslovakia, Croatia, Germany, etc., are in other countries taking care of our big ashram. This time, I was in Australia for one and a half months, then I came to New Zealand. We have three very beautiful, big ashrams there. They have a band there, a band in the ashram. Our people from Germany, Czechoslovakia, Croatia, and Slovenia are all there, also taking care of the ashrams. Fiji is beautiful. It is right in the middle of the ocean, and we have many, many bhaktas there too. There is an international date line there; it's changing. So on this side it is still today, but they already have that time as tomorrow. When we apply on the aeroplane, we see there is a line. But this year, something happened: the corona, like when the sun's side becomes dark. So all became dark from the corona. In the beginning, it was a very big problem; it was not good, and people were very afraid. In many countries, only workers remained, and they had no money anymore. We thought it would last only one or two months, but it is still all over the world—in America, Mexico, Brazil. In Brazil, we have so many nice bhaktas and two or three ashrams. They are all doing very well. To speak of the very beginning: in our Czechoslovakia, and the roots of the yoga and the life we made—of course Austria too, but there were fewer people. They are still there, very good. Austrians are very good. So it is what we call kismat. That kismat determines where one should be. When I first came, it was under the communists—very good people. Politics is only worldly, that's all. They tell you, "Please, now you go there," or, "Please go there." But we are, are we not? So the people were very good people. Czechoslovakians were very good people. I am not talking about politics, but I am thinking about you. Holy Gurujī used to say that Mahāprabhujī or Devaprabhujī sent you to Europe, and you have your karma there. You have your karma there, but good karma and so on. At that time, many people still left Czechoslovakia for other countries: America, Australia, and so on. Many were our bhaktas. Some came back. So anywhere you go, you will see Czechoslovakians, Hungarians, etc. Many times when I was at an airport or somewhere, suddenly someone would say, "Swāmījī, Swāmījī, you are already here! You didn't tell me you were here." So I said, "Well, you should keep in connection with Swāmījī." Our people are very hard workers. They don't forget these countries. For example, Americans are from British stock, Australia is also British, and actually the British people from London and so on... When people who were not good, who were fighting, and there weren't enough places for prisoners, they brought them in big ships to the harbor and dropped them on the beach. Now they cannot come back. But now they are very good. So many things... Humans, we are here and there; we are moving. But we should understand that we are human. It doesn't matter from which country—Africa, Australia, Fiji, China, everywhere, India—all are one: human. So we should all have friendliness. We should be humble, kind, protective, and not fighting. Christmas is coming, and it is written and said: if someone gives you a slap on your face, don't give back. But you can tell him, if you want, you can do it once more. We are all, it is said, the salt of the earth. Every religion, any different kind of religion, or someone who doesn't believe in God or religion at all—all is okay. All, when we die, we have only one door. They will not say it is Czech, and that is Slovak, and it is Hungarian. No. Are the Hindus, the Muslims, the Christians, the Jews, etc.? Why not? Very good. But God will not count white or black. God will not count like that. Only the human. And we should be humble and kind to each other. So our yoga practice, Yoga in Daily Life, we are practicing very nice yoga exercises because it is said: the body is not everything, but without the body, there is nothing. But how long will we keep our body? We will take good food, medicines, exercises, play football, etc. But day by day, it will go. Lucky are they who keep the body very nice; then it will go away very easily—die, we call it. What we should eat and what we should not eat... Somehow they are eating this and drinking that, which one should not. That we know, everyone. But we should help everyone. And the yoga in life practice, what we call the postures, exercises... yes, but one day we will go. So this human body has that much knowledge. Everything God has given, so we sail, and we are here to come to the Brahmalokas. Someone asked me a question: when someone is in hell, how long will they remain? Someone said, "You will never come out and turn to dust." And heaven—if it is heaven, how big is it? And hell—this is only a thinking made by humans. It is God who knows what He will do. And they will not throw you out into hell, and there is no hell. And if it is, it is not forever. It's like we have a bicycle, and the cycle is moving. So the wheel is standing there. One part is down, and one is up. But don't think that it will remain always down or up. No. It will be continuously moving. So those who are in hell will come to heaven, and maybe they will come down again. Like the sun rises, but also the sun goes down. Similarly, if we have done something negative, or anything—you made some mistake, but this is a human's mistake. But you think that God will always pull you down, only then? No, we will come out again. God will give us everything, so there is no hell and no heaven. It is only God's space. For example, the ocean—we know how big it is. And very big, but also, the water will lift up as a fog. And that immediately, like one little, little drop, becomes a big cloud. But that's also only drops, and it will again become water. So we don't know when it will come to the river and to the ocean. But sooner or later, it will be there again. Therefore, don't think, "I have problems with my husband, my wife, my parents, or others." It will not be forever. Again, you will be blessed. And if you said, "We are very good, very good," don't think that you will always be good. The next day, it will be different. But how we practice... There are different levels of yoga, so this is only this part we have: āsanas, prāṇāyāmas, etc. But there are many, many different kinds of names of the yogas. So every guru, every teacher, every person—they read, they learn, but they have to hold one thing. Then we will come far. Otherwise, sometimes here, sometimes there, sometimes with this, sometimes with that. It is said that you have a couple, husband and wife, and the mother gives one child. Yes, this child has a father and a mother. Now, when you are grown, there are many father-mothers. We respect them, we are happy. But my father and mother are my neighbors also; they are mother's children. And my street—all there are children. And we all, elderly people, father, mother, we see other children also like children. And it is said: the child from childhood needs a lot of love, respect for the child. But also, you should not only spoil the child. So we have to turn sometimes. So when we take a car and there is a curve, we have to control and go through the curve. And when the road is straight, you can relax more and sit comfortably. So this is how the children should be. When the parents are not in harmony, then problems arise. So many people, the husband and wife, they have separated. But you know, when you have a child, it's not you anymore. You are only a helper. And because this is your heart—from both husband and wife, one heart, there are two parts—then your children will be good, and their children will be good. So if you practice yoga, and we always tell many things about this, and then after we are... So I know now in this Kali Yuga, many, many countries, even India too, in this Kali Yuga, children are suffering. Better you don't get children, and if you have children, then tell your parents, "Now your duty is only to keep them nice, let them grow." You are the guru, you are the god, the parents and the children for you. Then, after, again, you have to become like a child, and that's called the guru. There are many gurus, and very good ones. And don't think that this guru is not good and that guru is not good. "I will go to this God, Guru, and I will go to this Guru." That means you are destroyed. It doesn't matter if you are good or bad. But your child is your child. And for this child, she said, "This is my father and my mother." And when the child is separated, you know how children are suffering. That we have to learn. So, either you should not marry, or you don't want to have a child. Otherwise, suffering, suffering wholly. So, guru—also there is one guru, and he has only two disciples because he doesn't want more disciples. That's it. But once you have a guru, then you should not go away to the other side. But you can go to other gurus for learning. Because a real guru will also take other disciples like his own child. But still he will say, "You are the disciple of that and that master." But if you say, "No, this pastor is not good, and can you give me my Mālā, and I want to become your guru," then tell your child, "I want to have another mother and father now." So other parents, they will love you and give you everything. But you are still there, and your father and mother are there. Then you can come on the path. So if the guru—there are real gurus. They respect each other; others are collecting negativity and talking negatively. They are all going into the river, the canalization of this street. That's it. So we have to understand: if you have a guru, you got mantras, then you are forever. You have a child forever. You should be for your child, and you know, when the father and mother will die, the child will be, what you call, the inheritor. And if you have no children and no one, then we will go to the government or somebody here and there. So it goes further. Therefore, guru and parents are equal. It is said in the mantras: first guru is mother, then the father. Then the friend, then the teacher, and then Satguru. Mātṛ Devo Bhava. Mother, Pitṛ Devo Bhava, God, Father, Ācārya Devo Bhava is the teacher, and Guru Devo Bhava. So in that way, we should, if we are here or not, but we are always together. There was a time, many... I was talking, and this and that. In the Alakpurījīs, our Alakpurījī is from Satyugas, and he was one Kavikālidāsa, a very great person, 2,300 or 4,000 years ago. And he was giving, talking through the clouds. And that ṛṣi muni was going through the clouds. So now we humans are talking through our telephone. And everything is in our clouds. And it is good: I am sitting here, and every day when I am having satsaṅg here, on Swāmījī television, everywhere around the world, if you even have that instrument, you know that every day in the evening, people are asking, "Swāmījī, what was this today, and what is good?" and many things. So it has both good and bad. So we have our guru paramparā, Alakpurījī. You have been told many times, and there were three times visions of Ālakpurījī. And one where he came on his glaciers—where is his cave? I was there three, four times. Because it is said, Alakpurījī's glaciers, meaning the stones, many, many, and it is called the capital of Alakpurījī. And from there, he is coming. So he is already after three yogas, and after him is the river Alaknandā, Nanda Devī—that is what we are talking about. And so, until there, from there, we are disciples. So you are from there, Alakpurījī. And that is Śiva. And that, it has come. When you came to me, your Ātmā, your soul, was already coming in that direction. Your soul, your ātmā, was already coming from that direction. And there was also Alak Purījī with a crown. And now, one artist—I told him many times—and I think in one month or something, I will give you everyone Ālak Purījī. He's only one. Like Devpurījī is only one. So, therefore, we are peaceful. And, you know, the many people who were not eating any more meat and eggs and alcohol and like this, they were not affected. And you know that people who don't eat meat, don't eat eggs, don't eat bad things, they were not so affected by the corona. And many who are suffering are non-vegetarians. That's it. I asked everywhere, to all our yoga people, and also our many people who are real vegans—not eating sometimes only one day vegan food, and this, that is nothing. But those who went and said, "I was blind, and now I open my eyes. A living being is in front of me with a weapon, and I'm living, I'm killing that." They give up, and they are very happy now. So we have to love every creature. So, we will think too much, because I am talking and talking. I wish you all the best. Very happy to see you. It's a very good day, not too cold. Very good. So, all the best. And if you have some questions, you can ask some questions. Otherwise, we will sing the bhajans. Om Śānti, Śānti, Śānti.
