Who will liberate us?

A spiritual discourse on the unity of all paths and the grace of the guru, delivered on Christmas.

"Names are different, places are different, languages are different, yet they are all. If you do not understand this and do not want equality, then know we have the same blood, same nerves, same bones; everything is the same."

"The guru is that who gives us knowledge... Guru Kṛupāhi Kevalaṁ Śiṣyaki Ānanda Maṅgalaṁ. When the Gurudeva is there, the disciple is happy, full of joy."

A spiritual teacher addresses a gathering, honoring Christmas and the universal teachings of all saints and religions. He emphasizes the non-dual unity behind all names and forms, discusses the essential roles of the divine mother (Śakti) and father (Śiva), and explains the irreplaceable role of the Satguru in liberating the individual from worldly attachment, illustrated through a metaphor of a spider trapped in its own web.

Good evening, dear sisters, brothers, yogīs, yoga teachers, practitioners of all āśramas, and all techniques. Yoga is a school, and teachings are different, yet I am very happy to be here with all my brothers and sisters as we continue the name and path through yoga. Aradhi Bhagavān Śrī Alakpurījī Devadhī Dev Deveśvara Mahādeva and Satguru Svāmī Śrī Aradhi Bhagavān Śrī Dīp Nārāyaṇa Mahāprabhujī, and all great saints around the whole world—it does not matter from which religion, city, or place they are. All are God’s children. We love all creatures. With the Gurudeva, he can and will work through the world. Great, learned Masters, the Vedas, Upaniṣads, Bhagavad Gītā, Rāmāyaṇa, and other holy books—all are within, everything is there, and we hold the same respect for them. We know that today is a holy day, the day of Jesus, what we call Christmas, celebrated around the whole world. We adore and respect it. Today is like a light across the globe. Let us adore Jesus, the Mother of Jesus, His Father, and all of Jesus’s disciples. We, of Sanātana Dharma, Hindu Dharma, adore every religion because those good people, it is for everyone; it is the same. If God gives us food, it is given equally to the stomach of every animal and also to humans. Now, the time has come that we have to become one. This does not mean we speak of our government or their government, nor of their religion or this religion. Put your hand on your heart and know: in Satya Yuga and in Dvāpara Yuga, God Viṣṇu was there, and Bhagavān Śiva was there. That Viṣṇu is Bhagavān Rāma, and Śiva was Hanumānjī, for they are like one. Many people do not understand this. Hanumān was there, and Hanumān is still there. When God Rāma—whom we call Viṣṇu—went back, many great disciples and people went with him to Brahmaloka. He said, "But I will, Arjuna." He said, "Bhagavān Rāma, you will be here and take care of the people, all creatures." And now Śiva comes again. After that comes Kṛṣṇa. Kṛṣṇa is also Viṣṇu. But then again, Śiva comes. So this is the time of Śiva. Names are different, places are different, languages are different, yet they are all. If you do not understand this and do not want equality, then know we have the same blood, same nerves, same bones; everything is the same. Then why duality? Therefore, we should, around the whole world, remember we are humans. Humans should be humble, kind, and peaceful. We must not say, "No, we will not have this God or that God." Yes, it is good. You see Sanātana Dharma in Hindus. How many gods? In one house, husband, wife, children, and neighbors—they are all equal. But one worships Kṛṣṇa, one worships Śiva, and Viṣṇu, Hanumānjī, Gaṇeśa, Jesus, Buddha, etc. In our heart, the feeling is the same. That means that is the living God, the living humans. Every day, and especially today, this very holy day, I adore everybody; I pray. But all in all, you know, the Jesus guru, who was that? Who gave him the blessings at the river? The guru will take the guru. You have room, money, your land, everything, but it is only till life, that’s all. Then, Hari Om. The guru is that who gives us knowledge. It does not matter how you are. You have to go through universities, and you get further, becoming a professor or so. We have to learn the instruments, how they are. If nobody gives to us, we do not know what to do. So that is Guru Kṛupāhi Kevalaṁ Śiṣyaki Ānanda Maṅgalaṁ. Mahāprabhujī said, Holī Gurujī said, that Śiṣyaki Ānanda: when the Gurudeva is there, the disciple is happy, full of joy. Do not run behind money, land, people, etc. Go towards the heart and know in the brain. The mind is very, very different. The mind is like a horse, and this horse has to be controlled. That is in yoga. Everything, whatever you learn, whatever we teach our little child—the first is called Mātṛ Devo Bhava: first, mother is God. Then Pitṛ Devo Bhava: father is God, brother, husband, man, the father, etc. This time has come that there will be very strong things, heat. It has come very high. It will go like into the fire. But Śiva will melt better. He will respect both sides and give them that knowledge. Slowly, slowly, go down, peace, calm down. Śiva will give all of them knowledge, and they will also become now like Brahmā. What I was telling for so many days, next time we shall talk about Mātā, Pitā. Always first Mātā. Mātā. Pitā, the father. The father is the first; that is Śiva, that is Ātmā, that is Jīva in that. But then Śakti, also the mother, the Śakti, and Śiva is the father; that is the seed. Without mother, it cannot be; without father, mother cannot. Therefore, it is said the male and female are one. The more the men attack the women, the more the females attack the male. Both parts of the body are inside. The left is the female, and that’s the male. In our Kriyā Śaktis, Chakras, kuṇḍalinī, there is what we call the power, the energy of the man and the female. Not negative, please. No, no, no. It’s pure, it’s complete, pure. But if you are doing something, if you are only just emotional things, then you fall down. It is when and how many children you need, that’s all, Father. Not for anymore, cannot come near. And that also, the female, she should not attack here, not come near. Not in that emotion, but they are one in the body; they are hugging, etc. So these are the two, but it has given the first as the mother because she was taking control of everything until the child, the complete child, was born. And the protection of the father. So the male has to protect when one lies, the male and female. The female is taking care of the babies, and the male is controlling, protecting. After that, there are the friends. Then our teacher, school teacher or anything, those who are teaching us how to walk, how to drink, how parents are doing. Then we are all learning from many, many techniques. So this is a guru. So ācārya, this is a guru, teacher, ācārya. And then it is satā guru. And that not only verbally, but from inside. Therefore, it is said that God or the guru loves us more than the parents. If some are there, parents are there, you will learn, schools, this, and go to money, work, that, this, that. But to Brahmaloka is Śiva-Śakti. That’s very important, very good. Māta, Pitā, Kutuṁ, the family. All our families. Our uncles, that uncle, this uncle, this, that, all our families. Maybe the whole struggle is all our families. Mata, mother; Pita, the father; Kutum, the friend of the family; Kabila, and the friends in our street, in our village. They are good, very good, but what is in that about the parents? All these friends and relatives, how are they for us? There, they are more or less; they want to take from us. They will not let you go away. Your child, you have grown. You gave the studies, everything. But now, when you are gone, then you said, "Now you should work. You should bring." More and more, they have attachment, and they try to bring them closer to us. It’s like a spider, and a spider will take a thread, and he can go from here to there and make the road. He makes a very nice nest because he wants to have some mosquitoes or some little creatures from the nest. But what happens? That spider goes in the middle. Some animals, if there was anything, then he goes in, eats, but cannot go out. They are in the net. And he cannot go out, and he will die there. So it means, from your own body you brought this spider and made a net, and we died in death. So, what can we then further go? So it is said. All they build is like spiders, so everyone wants to help. Everybody says, "Take from me, take from me." And what will be with them after it ends? Then, like a spider stuck in that net, sometimes we see on Facebook there are sometimes clips of animals, and so animals are stuck in the tree, in a bush, or in nets. They are stuck in the horn, etc. They can die there. And good friends who know that, they come to see, they will try to bring him out, to liberate him. But if there are some people, they will kill and eat. So these are very difficult things. So Yama, Yama is the king of death. On your head and on the body, they will torture us. No one can liberate us. Neither parents, neither brothers, sisters, neither friends, no one. Because our physical body is here, and other parts of your body go with us. Body, annamaya kośa, prāṇamaya kośa, prāṇa is going also, annamaya kośa, prāṇamaya kośa, manomaya kośa, the mind goes with, annamaya kośa, prāṇamaya kośa, your knowledge will remain out. Your thoughts will remain there, and one remains that your life in the jīvas. Who will liberate us? If you believe or you don’t believe, but it is so. So who will liberate us, my dear? So we are stuck. So it is said, the seed, the salt came. The father has brought it in, and it is put into the net, the net of the body, the mother’s body. And there you are stuck. And it will make so many nets and this and that, and then it will send out that we know everything. So now it is said, I gave you the human, I gave you the mother. She gave nine months, then she gave me the birth. Now, how it will go is your kishmat. So how we will go, therefore, what will happen? Satguru saraṇā gayā binā. Murak kon bhāva par lagāve, Satguru śaraṇa gayā binā. Without Satgurus, we come there, you are not in that knowledge. When you are in the ocean and there is a circle inside the water, who will bring you out now? The power of the water is so strong. It’s going in a circle, finished. So, this tomorrow, that which I taught today, so please listen to this. Learn this. And today is, you know, again, the very nice, beautiful Christmas day. Christmas evening, and all families together. I also want to wish them all the best Christmas. Be happy, be healthy, be good, be friends all in your families. And I adore Jesus. Om Śānti, Śānti, Śānti.
