Bhajans awake positive energies

An evening satsang addressing health, awareness, and spiritual practice during a pandemic.

"Unfortunately, times are becoming more negative day by day. The challenges are not just from the way of Corona, but they say it is more pervasive, existing inside things."

"Chetan means be alert, be aware; you should know. This is also relevant for these illnesses or infections."

The lecturer addresses a global audience, offering practical advice on diet, hygiene, and pranayama to build physical resilience. He emphasizes the need for spiritual nourishment through satsang and analyzes the bhajan "Chetan Chetan," explaining its call to awakening and the symbolism of the soul as a swan (Hamsa) awakened by the divine light of Bhagavan Deep Narayana.

Alakpurījī Mahādev kī jai. Devadhī Dev, Deveśvar Mahādev kī jai. Satguru Svāmī Madhvānandjī Bhagavān kī jai. Devadhī Dev, Deveśvar Mahādev kī jai. Bhagavān Śrīdīp Nārāyaṇa Mahāprabhujī kī jaya. Satya Sanātana Dharma kī jaya. Good evening to all dear sisters, brothers, yoga teachers, and yoga students around the whole world, in all different ashrams and yoga centers, from Yoga Daily Life and many other paths, and to all other spiritual people. We worship all of them, and we are trying very hard to attain peace, harmony, understanding, and spiritual development. Unfortunately, times are becoming more negative day by day. The challenges are not just from the way of Corona, but they say it is more pervasive, existing inside things. We do not know how quickly and without any signs, it can come to us. If we go to a farm or walk in a forest and touch some kind of leaves or the trunk of a tree, we do not know if we can also contract something. It is said that now people are getting affected because of medicine or the vaccine, but that protection is also not for a long time. So, how long will we always need injections? This is also uncertain. But of course, we all as humans are trying our best. We will now focus on more beautiful exercises to build strength in our body, not only from nourishment but from yogic exercises. Starting tomorrow, we will begin these. You should practice, we should practice, I should practice. Nourishment is also crucial. I am consuming a lot of greenery, salad, etc. Many Ayurvedic and yoga practitioners always give instructions on what to eat and drink. It is advised that we should take some seeds—like mung, channā, mungfalī, and others (Umapurījī, you know better than me)—and also methī. We should put them in water or a wet cloth. After three or four days, the seeds sprout. Once sprouted, they contain a completely different kind of prāṇa inside. In the morning, we should all have one cup of these sprouts. Also, have some morning almonds—just five to ten seeds. Soak them in water in the evening, and you can use them in the morning. First and foremost is our body and our protections; we should do this. Secondly, after eating, we should not drink water for one hour. While eating a little, we can take a sip of water in the mouth, which is very, very healthy for the body. Also, they say if you want to have fruit, have it first and then your other food, because sweet fruits contain more sugar and digest better beforehand. After that, we can have chapati, rice, or vegetables. In this situation, we must prepare ourselves from our homes, from our kitchens, using whatever seeds and items we have. Of course, not everyone has fresh air, especially in big cities. But still, within our room or house, we should clean everything, spray everything, and let air come from outside through the windows. Place a very thin, wet cotton cloth over the window for cleaning and purification, in addition to spraying something. Unfortunately, this terrible Corona has come again. Many people die, and when we see those who have died, we are very sad. People say, "I am very healthy, I am everything, I am nothing," and when they get tested, it is positive. So, do not go anywhere—to parties, weddings, etc. Protect yourself and protect others, including children and parents. Now, prāṇāyāma. We must come to prāṇāyāma because it will give strength to our lungs, heart, and brain. We will also begin the prāṇāyāmas now. So, wherever you are in any part of the world, you should practice. Beginning is very important. Then, in our brain, mind, heart, and whole being, we need spiritual nourishment, which comes from bhajans and lectures—the satsaṅgs we hold. Every day, we aim to provide something fresh and good knowledge. For the last two and a half weeks, we have been focusing on one beautiful bhajan: "Chetan Chetan." Chetan means be alert, be aware; you should know. This is also relevant for these illnesses or infections. We are in the Kali Yuga, where problems arise largely due to many chemicals and different kinds of chemicals. Our food is not good; all kinds of vegetables are not good. Day by day, there is more and more poison. It is very, very difficult to protect ourselves, but yoga will help, and that is very important. So, what is that? Day and night, we experience three states: Jagrātā (waking), Suṣupta (deep sleep), and Svapna (dreaming). Even in dreams, we should always focus on good health and good things. We must be very careful. Thus, it is said: be aware, be alert, be awakened, be clear. In this context, anyone giving instruction, a lecture, bhajans, or playing instruments—such bhajans awaken each and every cell of the body in a positive way, not negative. Mata, pitā, aur kutumba, kabīlā, ye dhunā lālcāve re. Yam kī mār paḍe sirāyu par, kaun chuḍāve re? Guru samjhāve re. Chet, chet, yah jīva yā gyānī avasar jāve re. Guru samjhāve re. Satguru śaraṇ gayā bin, mūrak kān bhav pār lagāve re. Satguru saran gaya bin moorak, Kaan bhav paar lagavere? Guru kripa bin jaya chaurasi, Gotaa khavere. A guru samjhavere, Aanchetachetayabhjivayagyani Avsarjavere. A guru samjhavere, Manush janm amolak payo, Murak ratn gamavere. Manush janm amolak payo, Murakarat na gamaave re. Gaya vakt yaave nai pyare, phir pistave re. E guru samjave re. Aachet chet yava, jeeva bryani. Agyani yava sarjave re. E guru samjave re. Śrī Pūjya Bhagavān Dīp Nārāyaṇa Sūtahāns jagaave. Shri Pūjya Bhagavān Deep Narāyan Sutahāns Jagāve Hā Kahe Mādhavānand Jīvjan Se Sab Sukh Pāve Re. This whole bhajan... I was also walking while reflecting on it. It is said: śrī pūjye. Śrī means worship, prosperity, peace, etc. Pūjā means worshipable. We are always worshiping. When we go to the temple, church, all spiritual places, and bow to great saints, that is called pūjye—one whom we adore. That person is Bhagavān Śrī Dīp Nārāyaṇa. Bhagavān is God, not a semi-god or a lesser deity. He is God. Deep is Mahāprabhujī, Bhagavān, Śrī Deep, Nārāyaṇa, Mahāprabhujī, Barikatu. Deep means light, prakāśa—light all the time. Nārāyaṇa is Viṣṇu, Bhagavān Viṣṇu. Śrī Pūjya Bhagavān Dīp Nārāyaṇ Mahāprabhujī... Gurujī said: Sutta means sleeping. We are in deep sleep, sleeping without any awareness—deep sleepers. Now, Deep Nārāyaṇa Bhagavān... and haṁsa is the swan. The swan is sleeping, but Gurudev wakes him up. What is that awakening? It means be aware, be good. Do good, eat good, drink good. Walk better wherever you are. Be alert, be good. That is Haṁsa, the swan, and Haṁsa is our soul, our Jīvātmā. We have the Haṁsa. You are all Haṁsas. When the crow flies like this, but when the swan goes... just like this, yes. This is so. We are all haṁsas; all bhaktas are haṁsas. Now, our Holy Gurujī, Swāmī Madhavānandajī, said: through bhajan, you will get everything. Everyone will be very happy, very good. Śrī Deep Nārāyaṇ Bhagavān kī... In this way, we have to work on ourselves. Of course, we have a guru, a teacher, we have everything, but we have to do the work. It is said we can give you everything, but you must eat. If you are in the hospital and cannot eat, they feed you through the nose, but at least the stomach must digest. That’s it. So we should know how and when. Pure food, pure food—it is yours. Your life, your long life. In this Kali Yuga, it is not so easy; we must strive to be very happy and healthy. So, my dear all, wherever you are—in some countries it is midnight, some have midnight now—you are around the whole world via Swāmījī’s television, that TV. It is around the whole world, and many, many bhaktas are learning and reading every day, listening, and many are also writing from it because they want to learn more: Yoga in Daily Life. Peace, peace, peace. I wish you all the best. Now, you should all, if you are sitting, engage in a half-hour meditation. Meditation means, if you have a place anywhere, use one mala. For that, repeat five times: "Om Śiva, Navaśiva, Navaśiva, Navaśiva..." Then we come to our own mantra, and with this mantra, go to your own inner feelings. Do not try to go outside anywhere different. Suck your mantra inside. Śrī Pūjya Bhagavān Dīpa Nārāyaṇa Sūtāhaṁsa Jagāve Re Kahe Mādhavānanda Jī Bhajana Se Sab Sukha Pāve Re Eka Guru Samajāve Re Dīpa Nārāyaṇa Bhagavān Kī Devadhī Deva Deveśvara Mahādeva Kī Satguru Svāmī Mādhavānanda Jī Bhagavān Alaka Purījī Mahādeva Oṁ Śānti Om Śānti Om Śānti Viśva Guru Mahāmaṇḍaleśvara Parama Śrī Svāmī Maheśvarānandajī Gurudeva Kī Jaya Hari Om
