We should control ourselves

Yoga encompasses many paths, not merely postures or breath. The desire to practice must arise from within, never from force. God grants immense knowledge and freedom to choose, yet certain boundaries exist. Choosing negativity leads one away; choosing goodness aligns with the cosmic. Many yogis have researched inner techniques, all aiming for the same center despite different approaches. The practice of Brahmari Prāṇāyāma is a powerful technique for the brain, promoting coolness and resonance. It draws from natural sounds, like those in water or wind, and from observing creatures like bees and termites. This practice influences the subtle nerve system, offering potential relief. Always consult a doctor for serious conditions and let personal feeling guide your practice.

"God said, 'I give you everything. You should know good or bad.' Yet, which path you take is your power."

"Brahmari is very powerful, very good for everyone to live like that... These techniques ensure our brain is nice and cool."

Deep Nārāyaṇa Bhagavān Kī Jai. Devādhi Deva Deveśvara Mahādeva Kī Jai. Alak Purījī Mahādeva Kī Jai. Satguru Swāmī Madhvānandjī Bhagavān Kī Jai. Satya Sanātana Dharma Kī Jai. Good evening, dear sisters, brothers, all yoga teachers, yoga students around the world, and all practitioners of Yoga in Daily Life. I respectfully greet all the ashrams and practitioners. I also deeply respect and understand all people from different countries, religions, or those with no religion. Oṁ Namaḥ Nārāyaṇa. Yoga in Daily Life encompasses many different paths, which are all called yoga. It is not only about āsanas, prāṇāyāma, or concentration. There are many yogas. For example, the Bhagavad Gītā describes eighteen yogas. From beginning to end, it speaks of Bhakti Yoga and other paths. There are many techniques of yoga, stemming from the knowledge of various ṛṣis. As yoga practitioners in life, if someone does not wish to practice āsanas, they should not be forced. Those who only meditate may choose to do so or not. One should not force anyone; the desire must come from within the heart. We see good and bad things from the outside, but one's own self must understand and know what to do or not to do. Co ano a co ne. If one says, "I am human and I know, I am very interested and very good at everything, and I do what I want," God will say no. If we do negative things, God will say no. If we do only good, God will not say no. God has said that the 8.4 million creatures simply go according to their life. But humans have been given immense knowledge, everything. God said, "I give you everything. You should know good or bad." Yet, which path you take is your power. Often, even humans go against God and commit cruel, negative acts. That is not good. So God said, "I give you freedom, but there are certain things I will not give you freedom for. You can do negative, you can do good things, but still be careful." What happened? They tried to go against God. What God gives is like a lock. For instance, a combination lock. You have the combination, you learn it, but you cannot go further than that. If we do not do good, we will go back to the negative. It is your choice. At the end of life, all will know good or bad. At that time, their eyes will open again. God will say, "My children, I gave you, I told you, but you did not listen. Therefore, you have to go back again." Those who were on the right path, what God gave them leads to the cosmic. We know good or bad, and still God says, "I know you have forgotten, but I tell you: turn your path again to the other side." It means towards good things—God always gives us a path, but some go very negatively. There are so many good ways, many great yogīs. These yogīs researched the best way. They researched within, inside the heart, and from the heart to the brain, and they developed techniques. There are many, many techniques. The point is one. Let's say, strelky (arrows). I am sitting here in the Czech Republic at our yoga center, Strelka. This year, due to the coronavirus, I stayed here nearly seven months. It is a big āśram, but we could not bring the older karma yogīs there. About 15 to 22 people are working all day—cooking, cleaning, taking care of the ashram. Because they are at home, they sometimes listen to my lectures. Through my Swāmijī television, we are spreading this knowledge without any charge from my side. They are all with Yoga in Daily Life. Soon, without the coronavirus, we will live very healthily again. This is just an example: these arrows. One comes from the east, west, north, south. Everyone has a different path, a different land, different people. They will go according to their path. What they see, others see differently, and that is right. But all their aim is that one center. All to one. Similarly, many yogīs, practitioners, and yoga ṛṣis practice yoga accordingly. Some only make mala, some only do postures, some practice concentration, Brahmari, Kuṇḍalinī Kriyā, and many other things. Yes, that is yoga. One makes all one for himself, and from others he learns something to give to others what they would like. Is that what God has given us, and should we follow it? Through Yoga in Daily Life, we have many different techniques. Some people ask me about what I am talking: Brahma-rī-prāṇāyāma. Many are asking about our topic, which is Brahmārī Prāṇāyāma. Today I had telephone conversations with people from New Zealand, Fiji, Australia, America, Europe. Everyone asked again for Brahmari Prāṇāyāma. Many people have received only one part of this Brahmari Prāṇāyāma and were so happy; they released some kind of problems. Most of the time, it is for the brain. We have two big problems: resonance in the head, tinnitus. Only that person hears it inside, or some vibrations. What is going on in our brain? We know something, but there is immense knowledge in our brain. We use only 5%. There are many very good people who have advanced science greatly—aeroplanes and many things have been brought from their brains. But from that, we also made bad things. For example, you have a gun in your hand. It is okay in your bed, your room; it is just metal. Some people hang it on the wall. We can touch anything. But second, if you want to do terrible things, with just one finger we can kill someone. So that is the brain. It can destroy or can make us good. For yogīs, these techniques ensure our brain is nice and cool. It is said our feet should be warm and our head should be cool. If it is the opposite, heat in the head can explode. Similarly, we are human, we have everything, but we should control ourselves. God has given two: control and no control, peace or harmony, peace or destroying. That is why God has given both. Otherwise, we do not know what this is. In that way, this Brahmrī Prāṇāyāma is very powerful, very good for everyone to live like that. Last week we practiced it, and I am repeating it again because many people asked me in the last few days, "Please, can you tell me again better how it is?" Some did not understand my language or the other language. Mostly, what comes in our life or in yoga comes from nature. Even from the ocean: you dive in the water as far as you can and just listen—what is the sound there? Unbelievable, so nice and very different. That is why many people dive underwater; they train themselves with oxygen, etc. They say, "Unbelievable sound." So in the water, there is also beautiful resonance. In the air, in space, there is another sound. Sometimes we sit somewhere in bushes, concentrating, and some wind is going. How nice the wind sounds, or it can be a very strong wind. So very nice, we need it also, of course, or it pulls us down. Both sides exist like this. Brahmari is one bee, but more for the fruits. This is like a little yellow bee, Bramarī. She is always going like this when she is flying. She is already like this and standing, sucking the honey from some fruits, or if there are good flowers, then she is sucking the honey and hanging there. Also, she is searching from the earth for something, some grass, and she always knows which kind of worm will become the Brahmrī. They make from the mud little nests there. It is something like a bowl with little holes inside. Inside, there are many, many streets. It is very good, neither hot nor cold. How this nature is doing, we have all learned from them. This is very important and very good. You know we said the colony? This colony is from the termites. The termites make big, very nice structures from the mud. When it is very cold, they have made such a way that it is warm. When it is very hot in the summer, through all the many sands, they make this very nicely from the earth. All of them are living inside, enjoying it, with streets and everything. They are living almost all together, so this is a colony. Nature is making itself. All these yogīs, or many other people also (not only yogīs), have very good things that give us further insight into ourselves. These creatures, in different things, not only make a house and sit there, but they get children, have friends, enjoy, eat, and do many things. Consider the ants. The ant knows one day before the rain will come. So they will take their eggs and everything to a higher place. Mostly they are in the earth, down, and if water comes, rain, then all ants are blown. So even they take their eggs—I have seen many, many times. That is nature, all doing this. There are many things, and so also the sound of the wings. Therefore, humans have taken many things from nature, including what we call yogīs. All vibrations are from the navel but developed more in the brain or other parts, so that the brahmari is going in our brain. Someone is a singer, and singers know, and they get resonance from all over the head. That is what Brahmins or yogīs have done. Someone heard me speak about this Brahmari and said he had a very big pain in his shoulder all the time. As I told him how to do the Brahmari, the tension on one side of the shoulder was gone in three days—relaxed. So this is a resonance. I have told people through Yoga Swāmījī television once, twice, three times. For example, there is acupuncture. It was my own experience. I had a little problem with some nerves, somewhere up in the shoulders. The doctor put a needle in my left foot. He put the needle there, and he has a very good technique. The needle went in, I felt nothing, but behind my ear a nerve made a sound. So where are my toes and where is behind my ear? This is the nest of our nerves. In the book Yoga in Daily Life and also The Hidden Powers in Humans: Kuṇḍalinī and Chakras, you will see one chart. I do not know from whom this was made long years ago—the whole range of the nerves, the nest of the net. You have everything, all my words. You in New Zealand are waking up and listening, and in many other countries. In this nest of our nerve systems, you can see they are all connecting, which is very tiny. A very gentle nerve will give you the message: there is something behind that neck, or someone has feelings in one eye's side or the eyelid. There are many fine, fine nerves, and that is with a resonance going on, or some very fine needle. My dears, wherever you are listening, this is interesting. Now, show one hand, the right hand. Now, only one thumb should... or the last... like this. Which nerve is that, which is going? The whole arm, this arm, the hand in and out. I always say it in the morning when I wake up: "My Lord, my Gurudev, my God, you are unbelievable. What have you given? So much in the mother's womb. How the fingers were exactly formed, and how they should be folding." Our fingers, how to fold? Very nice. It will not go this way; it would break. But still, God is God. We cannot make it; maybe we can make exactly, but we have to avoid this and that. So vibration is going through vibration, and that we took from Brahmari. All my dears, there is one thing I told you. I will tell you only two things: your teeth should be on both sides. If one side has more and the other side is empty, then the sound will not be good. So try to get both sides of your jaw in exact balance. Second, release your jaw. The third, I have already told, is like this: two fingers, and this. A completely different sound. For those who have, for example, a headache, this is very good. But if there is some kind of problem in the brain, like a tumor or something where you are disturbed, you fall down, then of course we have to listen to the doctor. Do not practice yoga then. When the doctor says, "Yes, you can," then you should do it, because the science of doctors is very far, very good, so we should always listen to them also, and we should follow the yogīs as well. So one was this, and then only you should go like this. You go holding your... now this is the fourth technique. That is for the ears. Close your ears. It is like a tractor—the sound of the tractor. It is very powerful. Do not do too much. Make your palm like a hole, like this, not pressing the ear but blocking it so no sound comes from outside. Deep inhale. This technique, when we have many problems or are learning, concentrate, be silent, and do not do it too long—two or three times. Put your hands... Those who have listened to me, do you see my photos? I am holding it as it is. You are looking; I do not know where you are or who you are. If someone has rings in the ear or some needles, a little bit in there, please do not do that. Then take your needles or something out. It is powerful like a flood. There are three steps on it, so you can all, my dears, try. Three times, and then concentrate and close your eyes. What is the concentration? It means, hear the sound that you have heard before. If you do not feel good, immediately finish. Yes. If you do it today and say, "I cannot sleep all night," then the second time, do it again. If again and again it happens that you cannot sleep, then do not do it. These are your feelings, and you should guide yourself. But I am telling you that these are the techniques of Brahmari Prāṇāyāma, and for that we will come again. This was the fourth technique. I wish you all the best practice, and see you again, my dear ones. All Om, Om, Om. Nāham kartā, Prabhudeep kartā. Mahāprabhujī karta hi kevalam.
