Feel the confidence and God will help

Confidence is the thread that holds our spiritual life together.

Begin and end each day by turning inward, surrendering all actions to the divine. This surrender brings peace and freedom from fear, for one knows the indwelling Self can never be taken away. Confidence is not a fleeting emotion but a state of oneness, like milk and water merging. All activities are like beads on a fragile thread; without the knot of confidence, the thread breaks. All beings are sustained by one God, just as all citizens belong to one country and all raindrops return to the ocean. Disputes arise from duality, forgetting that all is one. The practice of faith, like the prostration in prayer, allows one to see the unseen reality.

"Anyone can take from my hands, but not from my jīvā, my ātmā."

"Eko brahma dvitīya nāsti: one Brahman, there is no second."

Śrīdīp Nārāyaṇ Bhagavān kī jai. Devādhī Dev Deveśvar Mahādev kī jai. Satguru Swāmī Madhvanājī Bhagavān kī jaya. Alak Purījī Mahādev kī jai. Satya Sanātan Dharma kī jai. Good evening, all dear sisters, brothers, Yoga in Daily Life teachers and students around the world. Good evening. Hezký večer. To all from many ashrams, yoga centers, all different parts of the yogas, and all other religions who are doing their best, I respect them also. From my side, Om Namo Nārāyaṇa to all of you. We shall learn again today, but before that, we do a praṇām to Gurudev. Let us sing. Om Namah Siri Prabhupādīpa Nārāyaṇam. Om Namah Siri Prabhupādīpa Nārāyaṇam. Ham śabdās prabhu śaraṇa parāyaṇam. Ham śabdās prabhu śaraṇa parāyaṇam. Om Namo Siri Prabhu Dīpa Nārāyaṇam. Hamsabhadas Prabhu Saranaparayanam, Hamsabhadas Prabhu Saranaparayanam, Hamsabhadas Prabhu Saranaparayanam. Om Namah Shri Prabhu Deep Narayanam, Om Namah Shri Prabhu Deep Narayanam. OM ŚRĪ DĪP NĀRĀYAṆ VĀGVĀṆAKHĪ. Whenever we begin any activity—taking steps, giving a lecture, or doing anything—we should first turn inward to our heart or with our words and say, "God, please bless me and bring me to your cosmic Self." Whatever I have done the whole day, cokoliv sem udělal za celý den, I surrender to Thee, O my Lord. Also, before going to sleep, také než, we can recite the mantra "OM SHOHAM SAGUN BRAM SRI DEEP PARIPURAN NARAYAN NAMA," or the mantra "OM PRABHU DEEP NIRANJAN SAVADUK BANJAN," or many other mantras. When we go to sleep and we speak of Gurudevs, or of your God—Śiva, Rāma, Viṣṇu, Kṛṣṇa—it means we are telling in our mind to the gods or Gurudev: "Please let me sleep and be happy. If you wish to give to me, please give me good dreams, or you may give deep, good sleep. Oh my God, even while I am sleeping, you are protecting me and looking after me. You will lead me on your path. Let me be in my heart and be within my breath, my breath through these five prāṇas: Iḍā, Piṅgalā, and Suṣumṇā." Bhagavān, God, when I inhale, is all the coming energy from your body, God? And when I exhale, please let all negative things go out. I know that you will take care of me, whether I sleep deeply or not, but my breath—inhale and exhale—depends on you. When I go to meditation or go to sleep, please, my life is in your hands, because we do not know where, what, and how it happens in sleep. In this way, all spiritual people, Gurudeva nebo Boha, cokoliv dělají, will not be afraid. We have no depressions, and we are all the time in happiness in our heart. This is because all who know what God is... If someone said, "I don’t believe in God," or, "I believe in God," it is your... This is not only about yoga. We perform yoga exercises, all different movements of the body, breathing in and out, and relaxing and concentration meditations; this is general. But beyond that, one understands: yes, now I am a human on that path to the cosmic, and we are never alone. We can lose everything, but what is in our heart and in our Self we know: I believe, and God has given it to me, and it is with me. It is said, "Anyone can take from my hands, but not from my jīvā, my ātmā." There, be peaceful. There are many things that many people do. For instance, even when a couple is marrying, they are happy. There are many such things, but in the heart beating... yes, in different countries they are just giving a ring, then holding hands, maybe, etc. And others, in other religions—and mostly in the Hindus, also in Muslims—they may do it differently. But at the moment of marriage, they are happy, yet in some way there is still a hope: "I hope it will be good." It is like both souls, jīvā, ātmā, are merging. Marriage means merging into one. It is like milk and water becoming one. But if there is a feeling that it is not good and I am afraid, then it is like lemon and milk. Mix lemon into the milk, even a few drops, because there is somewhere a feeling: "I am not sure. Maybe I will not belong with this person." This kind of feeling is a lemon drop, and the milk is split. Then there is no butter inside, and it is split milk. So, confidence is needed. But confidence is not only emotional; do not think only of emotion. How many days, or months, or years? But not that emotion alone. It is oneness: mine is yours, and yours is mine. When we are like that, then milk and water is pure. Therefore, every time, every minute, wherever you are, we should be confident, and God will always help. It is not easy. One thing is very easy: I will buy this, and I throw it away, and I will buy this and that. This is not it. But what is given, once it is given... So, we are here today performing. In that, we should live in light, in life. Our living here is very important. So, on that we are living a whole life. We do many things: we are running, swimming, singing, dancing, making some instruments, building a house, bringing many nice animals, going more to the forest. Many things, but this is not that. That is the thread, and we are hanging on the thread. If the thread is broken, all beads are gone. So it is said that this thread is very fragile. We are putting a seed inside and letting it go through, and if the thread is broken... then what will we do? We make a knot. If we do not have the knot, then the bead will not go in nicely. Sometimes you will make like this: we give more power to bring this, the mālā. So when, at times, you begin to do something that is not good, have no confidence, or you become—how to call it—only, "I want to have," only do what I said, many things... that means the thread will break. We should know that very well. So, confidence is there, and that is lifelong. We are all in one. For example, let us say one country. We are in the Czech Republic now. This is the whole border of the Czech Republic. Many are inside, living; they are the citizens of this country. They have passports. So you are, it does not matter where you are and how you are. But this passport is the whole country. All, whatever it is here, it is of this passport. And this passport, who is giving you? That is written. And that you are president, and your president, your prime ministers, whatever it is this way. Then your president, when he comes home, is with his family only. But even when he is sleeping, getting up, he works for the whole; it is he. When he comes to his office, now it is not his house; it is the whole country, and all are his people. And every person accepts, respects, and hopes that this president is mine. So in that way, how should we live now? We should honor God. It does not matter if this is a little mosquito, or a swan, or an elephant, or a lion, etc. All is here, but that one God, all are His, and He will feel and take care of each and every one. Oh man, who are you to feed us? You cannot, but a tiny, tiny little mosquito or an ant, a tiny ant, an elephant... No one is sitting hungry at night in the whole world. Even the water creatures, God is feeding them. Have confidence. We can do something for others, but who can feed everything? Therefore, I depend on God. Whatever you say—God, you say Jesus, you say Krishna, Shiva, Vishnu, etc.—in that way, be thyself, knowing that in my heart is sitting my God. And the same God is here, sitting, this Umāpurī in heart, is also the same. Or anybody here sitting, Bhakti sitting here, Hanumān sitting there, all. For example, very dark clouds are coming. We do not know from how many kilometers, and we do not know how long they are, how many kilometers they reach. How many kilometers? From London to where? It is more Africa, or this side. Now, through these chemical things and many things, so even the clouds are coming, a little, little, going water down and go away. We have rain here in the ashram, and half part of the... Anyhow, so that cloud, and then raining, dripping. Some are big drops, very fine drops, but all is the same. And it falls on the earth. And again, the old, big and small drops, they are coming together and begin to flow, becoming a little creek, and then a river, and again to where? The ocean. Oh my father, you are my father. You came to me, my father, and you brought me into the ocean. Feel, feel good. Therefore, it does not matter what you are doing, any religion or anything. You have your confidence and everything, but we know that it is He. And confidence is there. We do not see that, but it is Islam. Muslims always say, "Allah is the cosmic." But where is that Allah? You do not see, but with confidence we see that, and we bow forward. Then we kneel down, and then we bring our head down on the floor. Why? Because they have confidence, and they believe, so they see. In this, they see everything. Therefore, we should have confidence in each and every one. You cannot catch only one and let all the others out and think, "My God," and you say, "My God." Once the Holy Guru told a very nice little story about how one is fighting. There was one Gurujī who had a grass hut, and he had two disciples who were doing seva. They were going to bring the food; that time is what we call Bikṣā. So they come, and that is all. Then after eating, Guruji said, "I will have a little rest in the afternoon." The disciples were cleaning and everything, and coming and massaging, giving blessings for the seva. So one disciple said, "This is my leg," and the other, "This is your leg," because there was always somebody biting, making something. So Gurujī said, "This is yours, and this is your work." Guruji turned to one side, so one leg came on the other leg. One disciple's leg came down, so he was angry, and he took the other leg and pulled it out. Then Guruji turned this side, then turned that side. Guruji said, "Don’t do it." So Guruji was sleeping straight. Then one leg was a little bit moving, so one disciple had a little stick, and he beat the other leg. The other one took the stick and, three times, took it and they were fighting. Gurujī said, "What are you doing? He is beating my leg." And he said, "But he could beat my leg. Whose leg? This is my leg. This is my leg." He... It is, my dear children, neither he nor you. It is my legs, and when you are beating my legs, I feel the pain. Similarly, sometimes disciples fight with disciples, jealousy, so these both are nothing. That is it. So, similarly, we are all... It does not matter if you have a cow, and another you have a buffalo, and we have a horse; these are all yours. And all these animals, they are waiting that our master, or my, what shall I say, my guru or my master, he will feed us. They will do good, everything, so we have to, in that way... It is said one sings this bhajan, another sings that bhajan, another sings their bhajan, but it is one bhajan. The name of the bhajan and the different words are different, but it is a bhajan. That way we have to understand. Therefore, it is "eko brahma dvitīya nāsti": "Eko brahma" means "one Brahman," "dvitīya nāsti" means "there is no second." All is one, and when there is duality, there is fighting. "Eko brahma dvitīya nāsti." "Nāsti" means suffering, this, this... and so what I want to come to. You are there, and that is called Brahmārī Prāṇāyāma. Now you will get another technique of the Brahmārī Prāṇāyāma. Take your hands like this, like a cobra. Make your hand like a hole, and we put it on our ears. Make the hole in the palm, and in the hole here, it is such a beautiful sound, very confidence, confidence in you, and it is very good. So, only three times. Those who are there, please, in your office or in your home or wherever, in whichever country you are, place your hands like this, and then chant three times, with closed lips. Inhale through Iḍā, Piṅgalā, and then breathe in, and then make the sound through the nostrils. Again, inhale once more now through this and hold. Our head receives a beautiful vibration—a good vibration, balancing something inside. We have our inner, inner techniques that God has given. This also, three times. Once more, yourself. There are different... In these sounds, what do we have to do tomorrow? For example, when someone is driving, then go and park your vehicle—maybe the car or train, or the big truck, or who is going with water—so go and park somewhere and make a little bit of bārikatu praṇām. This is very, very good for the drivers. Then you sit, if you have grass, and you can sit in meditation, yoga seat, and all the vibration from driving and driving and driving releases everything. You become so relaxed. Tomorrow, Deep Nārāyaṇa Bhagavān. Jai. Dev Puruṣa Mahādevakī. Jai. Satguru Svāmī Mādhvanājī Bhagavānakī. Jai. Alak Puruṣa Mahādevakī. Jai. Satya Sanātan Dharma Kī Jaya. Om Gurudev Kī Jaya. Mahāprabhu Kī Jaya. Gurudev, śakti, bhakti, vairāgya, jñāna, ṛddhi, siddhi, sukha, śānti dena, Prabhu. Om Śānti. Viśva Guru Mahāmaṇḍaleśvara Paramahaṁsarī Svāmī Maheśvarānandajī Gurudeva Kī Jaya.
