Follow the path

The power of bhajans, devotion, and the Guru Paramparā is the essence of spiritual life. Bhajans carry profound power and knowledge for all senses, unlike simple mantra repetition. Loudspeakers blaring mantras can disturb others' practice; consideration is needed. Meera's devotion to Krishna, despite suffering, lives on through her bhajans worldwide. The Guru Paramparā is illustrated by Bhagavān Rāma and Hanumānjī. Hanumān's every hair resonated with "Rāma, Rāma." When Rāma brought a hair from Hanumān's ear to Sītā, she heard "Rāma Rāma" from that hair. Hanumān, even when speaking, would say "Rām" to avoid distance from his Lord. Rāma gave Hanumān the duty to protect all devotees, so Hanumānjī still lives. A disciple remains a disciple before the guru, regardless of worldly status. One must never disrespect or abandon the guru, just as one would not abandon one's mother. Sanātana Dharma is the living Guru Paramparā. Those who claim to be gurus without true lineage are not on the path. Many modern practices called yoga are merely exercises, not authentic yoga. Do not forget your mother, father, and guru; losing them is spiritual loss. True devotion means holding fast to the guru's words. The guru's grace alone leads to liberation.

"Guru Kṛpā He Kevalam, Śiṣye Ke Ānanda Maṅgalam."

"If you are a disciple of that Gurudev, then it doesn’t matter if you are the highest of the high, but for your Gurujī, you are a disciple down."

Thank you, very nice. Today was the best day of bhajan singing. People have seen new bhajans, and these bhajans you have heard from Paras and Pushpa, our Pushpa. I have so many Pushpas, you know. She spoke very nicely. She studied very much, I think, always for her bhajans. These are the best bhajans from many saints, very good, and not only what we call them—only the mantra. For example, "Śrī Rām Jai Rām Jai Jai Rām, Śrī Rām Jai Rām Jai Rām" is beautiful, very good, but it takes a long time, a long time. You know, we were at the Kumbha Melā in Prayāg for the first time, yes. And there we had a beautiful ashram, a made-to-be ashram. Beside that was another, and the whole day and night with a very big loudspeaker: "Sītā Rām, Sītā Rām…" That was very nice, but other people cannot practice their mantra. When they were the Kovam, Prabhudīp, Nirañjan, Sabduk, Bañjan, and there is in between "Sītā Rām, Sītā Rām," all many, many different mantras. So it is good: God is God, Śiva is Śiva, Amṛta is Amṛta, and Rāma is Rāma, Kṛṣṇa is Kṛṣṇa, etc. But people should take care of others. The loudspeakers are very strong. So one has to know for others also. That only this, all the melodies, only this is not good for everyone. There are bhajans. Bhajans have more power, more knowledge for learning, listening, and all senses. They are made in such a way. This kind of bhajan is very, very rare now. Nowadays, people are having different kinds of bhajans with a lot of sound. So, this bhajan that you were hearing was very good. I am very happy for all of you, and we will have to learn. We will go, so for example, now for example, Mīrābāī. So Meera, Meera’s wife—she got Krishna, and she also had devotion to Krishna, and she was suffering very much. No one respected her, but she was very strong, and that was always for Krishna. And so there were many women in that kingdom there, but all now remember Meera and the voice of Meera in the sky, in heaven. In the whole world, Mīrābāī’s bhajans are there. Meera is still living there. And in the same way, there are many other saints. They were all thinking and giving bhajans, and so on. Guru Paramparā. Now, this Guru Paramparā, for example, let us say Bhagavān Rāma. Rāma, Rāma… Rāma here also, here also… The whole body, there is in each and every hair, is that Rāma, then in his skin. And you know that when God Rāma and Sītā and Hanumānjī and all came from Sri Lanka to India again, there came Bhagavān Rāma in his palace, all coming together sitting, and Bhagavān Rāma was giving some lectures, so all people were singing something or like this. So Sītā and Rāma are sitting, Lakṣmaṇa is standing on one side, and others, and Hanumānjī is sitting near Bhagavān Rāma’s holy feet. Bhagavān Rāma looking to Hanumān, Hanumānjī is looking to Hanumānjī’s holy foot, and all the time he was always, "Rāma, Rāma…" Sītā is more Rāma, she said to Hanumān, and I think he thinks a little less of us, because Rāma has very, very sweet, good bhaktas. But why is he always looking there and not to my side? So she is thinking. Sītā is only thinking. This is a human’s life. Everybody is here sitting, but some ones, all the time, have the thinking for someone. You don’t want to show it, but it is there, always going there. Sītā was thinking, thinking. Bhagavān Rāma, he knows that, everything. So Bhagavān Rāma leaned a little bit towards Hanumān, and he took one hair from the ear of Hanumānjī, like this. Holding this one hair, he then went to Sītā, and Sītā was surprised, wondering what he was doing. Rāma brought one hair of Hanumānjī, and he wrought this. And this one hair of Hanumānjī’s, Bhagavān Rāma took from his right hand, took the hair to the left side and to Sītā’s ear. And what is it? Sītā said, "What is happening?" And there, in that one tiny hair in the ear of Sītā, there is sound in that one hair: "Rāma Rāma…" Sītā, Hanumānjī loves very much, Sītā also, like a mother, and in that way, and what happens sometimes, Bhagavān Rāma is sitting, Hanumānjī is there, and suddenly what happens, Hanumānjī has to say something, something like this, then what he is doing, like this, for years, he was hearing from his mouth, but that time he said, "Rām, Rām… Rām." So this sound is Rāma, and you will see many, many bhaktas of Rāma, that they say it, that they also, when anytime if they have to do something, they are saying like this, and other people say, "What are you doing?" Now you will say, "Hey, we are having a lecture." But he will say, "Ramjī said, 'Rām, why?'" Because I do not want to give a second distance from my Gurudev, my Bhagavān, my Rām. I don’t want that little bit. I can go away from him. It doesn’t matter how I am or how I did, but I know that Bhagavān Rāma. And you know how Hanumānjī was running here and there, and he was suffering many things, and came to Lanka, and this everything, you know, everybody. And then he said, "What happens now?" So, Bhagavān Rāma, and this, when all this he did, his job, he said, "Now I go." Bhagavān Rāma, Bhagavān Kṛṣṇa also, all have to go. So there is a river, a beautiful river—what is the name of the river? Sarayū. And in that river, Bhagavān Rāma is going in the river, Sītā is going, Lakṣmaṇa is going, all four brothers are going, five, and all the bhaktas are going. But Hanumānjī is coming, and Bhagavān Rāma said, "Hanumān, you will not go in the river." He said, "Why?" Because I give you the duty that you will protect all the devotees of God. You will be here, and therefore it is said that still Hanumānjī is living. Hanumānjī is living, but you don’t know how it is that he is there. In these Kali Yugas, they don’t understand anything. They are that. So, in the same way, Guru Kṛpā He Kevalam, Śiṣye Ke Ānanda Maṅgalam. If you are a disciple of that Gurudev, then it doesn’t matter if you are the highest of the high, but for your Gurujī, you are a disciple down. It doesn’t matter if you are prime ministers, or you are professors of professors, or you are the king of kings. But though you are a king, the mother of your child is your child. The president of that country, his mother will die. He is the president of the country, he will also be giving tears from the eyes, and said, "My mother died," and he or she goes to the funeral. That is that guru, and if you will leave your gurus, then it means you are Dejavan. Other stories, so that one monkey was there, and he was not a Hanumān. And he was sitting there, and he was sitting there. Then he will go there, he will go there, he will… Holy Gurujī was giving such beautiful lectures, you cannot describe him. But while speaking, when Holy Gurujī came to Mahāprabhujī’s name, Devpurījī’s, Gurujī had tears in his eyes. So, Bhagavān, Śaṅkara Bhagavān, Śiva, Alakhpurījī, Devpurījī, Mahāprabhujī, Satguru Swāmī Madhavānandjī Bhagavān. And now, our sannyāsīs, who gave me in my hand, but it doesn’t matter who is who, but it is years. Follow the path, otherwise you are gone. There are many Christians, they are there and there, but they hold it to Jesus. Yes. Muslims, Allah, they have held it in such a way, doesn’t matter how it is, they will fight each other, but when something happens, they are in the oneness. Guru Kṛpā He Kevalam, Śiṣye Ke Ānanda Maṅgalam. Therefore, Holy Gurujī always said that Gurudev, Gurudev, Sabkū, everything is there, but don’t go hand up. Will you step on your Gurujī? Will you sit on the head of the bed of the Gurujī’s? On the Gurujī’s chair? Will you speak something like that against? It doesn’t matter what it is. That is called Sanātana Dharma. Sanātana Dharma. Sanātana. Sanātana is the Guru Paramparā. Now in Kali Yuga, there are many, many people who have become, themselves, that "I am a Guru." Okay, but from where were you born? Which mother? You had your mother, but you don’t even know that one. How do you know your gurus? And you don’t want to say, "My guru, I am the guru." Yes, you can be. It doesn’t matter, but it will not be the path until there. Therefore, Satya Sanātana Dharma, or Satya Sanātana Dharma, is the living being. And therefore, this Satya Sanātana Hindu Dharma means the living; we are all living people. Others are not anymore. They will die. Hurry home. You will not come like that. They will say, "Okay, go to heaven or hell." Finished. There are two, nothing more. Satya Sanātana Dharma. Guru Brahmā, Guru Viṣṇu, Guru Devo Maheśvara. Śiva is Maheśvara. Tasmai Śrī Guru Veṇama. Dhyāna Mūlam Guru Mūrti. Mantra Mūlam Guru Vākya, Mokṣa Mūlam Gurura Kṛpā. Then we can come. It doesn’t matter if you become professors of professors at universities and you go further. Very good. No problem. Very nice. But your mother, don’t lose. Please. Don’t lose your mother. And when you lose or throw away your mother, or something that you have nothing, your father, you don’t know anything. And if there your guru said, "Hold it," then all is one. So, those who are coming are like honey bees. When all the honey bees are in the honey, that’s it. Will you? Will you throw it out? What will the bees do? But all bees are very unlucky, and they’re all one queen there, one queen. And what is the queen doing? She is giving all the time. So we have to put something. Yoga is—what you are doing is, this is not anymore yoga. In our world, they are doing yoga, but it is not yoga. It’s exercises. In such kinds of exercises, they are calling it yoga. And they are becoming all that they are, Guru. There will be beautiful stories, Gurujī said, "Tomorrow, tell me, and I will tell you." It is a long story, very long, but don’t forget, yeah? Yeah, it is about Liyamdi, you know that one? A fox, a little fox. Ah, there was a very good story. Yes, and he became my Guru, my Mā. And then comes the Guru, another Guru, then he tries to… That is a beautiful story, a very nice story. Also, I have heard when I was about five years old, four years old, and when I was in, Gurujī told me exactly how it is. I have forgotten, but I will remember tomorrow. Tell me, remind me, okay. Alakhpurījī Mahādeva Kī Jai! Śrī Svāmī Śivānandajī Mahārāj Kī Jai Ho! So, you see, what does a guru mean? Understand, the Austrians, they are waiting for me because they are listening to me. Also, the lecture for them after the Austrian will be Austrian, and they will be. But they are all happy there, because they are running, quickly coming there. Still, they have the afternoon, so don’t worry. And if they are in a hurry, then go home. Bye, bye. Maybe I will let you wait until tomorrow, so don’t call like this. Somebody in the lecture, don’t call. Say, "Swāmījī, I have to go," okay? Yeah. When only Gurujī said bhajan or lecture once, Śaṅkarācārya was there, and Gurujī was… two hours only Gurujī was there. Yes. Guru, he is the Guru. So Satguru, Guru Paramparā parchalta huī, we have to, that is, you know, the street, very nice, like this. So, do not forget, do not forget your mother, do not forget your father. Maybe your second father or second mother, but they are not real fathers. Your mother, your father, and your guru—it is that. Don’t lose it. When you lose it, then it’s not anymore. It’s lost. Śrī Dīp Nārāyaṇ Bhagavān Kī, Devā Dī Dev, Deveśvara Mahādeva Kī Jai, Satguru Svāmī Madhavānandajī Bhagavān Kī Jai, Alakhpurī Jī Mahādeva Kī Jai, Śaṅkara Bhagavān Kī Jai, Satya Sanātana Dharma Kī Jai, Oṁ Śānti, Śānti, Śānti. Now, all go to your room, wash your hands two times, don’t go. I have seen it, and I’m talking internationally. I’m not going out, I’m telling the people. They hear people from other countries. I tell them many times, don’t go immediately to other houses, other flats, other things. You go to the ashram, and Gurujī said that one. And again, you are going there, he is going there, then he is going, then he is going… It is. There is very little bug, but you cannot. Yes. Hari Om. Dīp Nārāyaṇ Bhagavān. My dear all brothers and sisters in Austria, Germany, and other countries around, sing bhajans. I will join with you after about 20 minutes. Hari Om. Dīp Nārāyaṇ Bhagavān Kī Jaya.
