Practice like Holy Guruji

The essential need is for the living grace and vision of the teacher. All spiritual practice is dry without the guru's darśan and mercy. The ultimate goal is to internalize this vision so it is present whenever the eyes are closed. True darśan is the feeling awakened in the heart in a sacred place, not merely a physical sight. This gathering after a difficult period is a profound blessing. The dedicated work of many has prepared this new space, which is an invitation for all to come, work, and build together in nature and peace. The current age presents challenges, but within them lies opportunity for those who follow the guru's word with faith and selfless effort.

"All of our sādhanā, everything that we do in our lives, is dry without Gurudev’s darśan and Gurudev’s mercy."

"So many lives, thousands of lives, you have dedicated to yourself. Decide to dedicate one to me."

Filming location: Karlovac, Croatia

Siddhit Nārāyaṇa Bhagavān Kī Jai, Śrīdeva Purīṣa Bahāḍelā Kī Jai. God bless you. Kāla Jala Sama Kukda Kāla Jala Metro Yama Kī Trasā Padaro Mera Pati Deva Sasa Meriya Rāja Re Apala Rāja Re Ocharana Medasa yā pākājēsē ākāsā yā pākājēsē ākāsā Yāve sādā sukāpāve jānā pātī, yāve sādā sukāpāve emānā kīyā sā pīdē sāsā yāra jāne jānā mē sāsā. Mati deśa Chimaru śvāsa Chimaru śvāsa ... karata he Moya Śaṅkī pyāsā Asāsā Pālaka merī he, Arjā der Pālaka merī he. Aje kab, Aje kabīr. When I was born, the world laughed, I cried, but when I go away, I laugh and the world cries. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. Chant, chant. How are you? First of all, I am very happy to see you all here after such a long time. I am so very, very glad to see all of you here after so much time. You all know what we have been through in the last two years, and this is one of the first satsaṅgs I have enjoyed after a long time. And you all know what we all have been through these last two years, and we can say that this is one of the first live satsaṅgs where we can see each other in a long time. And as this bhajan said, "Gurudev, just give me your darśan, this is everything I need." That is what we cannot do without. All of our sādhanā, everything that we do in our lives, is dry without Gurudev’s darśan and Gurudev’s mercy. The best thing is to have darśan live, of course. But what we have to achieve is that we can have darśan every time we close our eyes. Those of you who were in the Himalayas when we went to Śrī Alakpurījī’s cave, you know what it means, darśan, that we got in our hearts? When Swami Vivek Purījī and I went to Śrī Dev Purījī’s gufā, and when he came back, everybody asked us, "Did you see Śrī Dev Purījī?" The answer is simple: yes, yes, we saw it, but not as you may think, not like this in life. The feeling in your heart that you have when you are in such a place, that is darśan. Of course, we are so, so happy that we can have Vishwagurujī here and that we can have this darśan here. Also, it is like that bird from the song that cannot live without water. We cannot live without it. A thousand times, thanks. Thank you, Vishwagurujī, that you bestowed on us this darśan and that you have blessed this āśram. Thank you. Every day, all day, we were working here, with our many friends. So, who is that? There is here, Dādā and Gaṅgā. So please come and say a few words. Yes, and you also, Ganga, after her. I have always feared this moment. You have no idea. And always, when somebody is talking in this way, I say to myself, "What would I say?" Without... Yes, yes, you can do it now. I would like to share my first impressions and first moments when I saw Svāmījī. But it was all somehow dry until the moment I came to Tuhelje Toplice and saw Swāmījī for the first time. As a young girl, I have read a lot and searched a lot, but everything was dry until I came to Tuhelje Toplice and saw Swāmījī for the first time. The first thought, the first feeling when I saw him was that I came home. My first thought and first impression when I saw him was, "Now I’m home." And I remember from those books, one man was saying he was in his forties, and he was saying that only when he was 40 did he find certain meaning in his life, and he is sorry that all those years were lost before that. I was so happy that at that time I was 20 and had that feeling that this is the right thing. And the second thing is one moment, one experience with Swāmī Yogeśjī, when he came to Europe and he went to visit his relatives in Belgrade and Novi Sad. When Vinkovci was on the way, it was maybe fifteen years ago, and he stopped for lunch and coffee in Vinkovci, and we were talking about how it is in Jadan, how is Holy Gurujī, how is everything in India. And then he said, as Gurujī told him, "So many lives, thousands of lives, you have dedicated to yourself. Decide to dedicate one to me." And then Yogesh... Thank you. Then Swami Yogeshjī said that Gurujī told him, "So many thousands of lives you dedicated to yourself, and now, there to dedicate only one life to me." That is so, so powerful that you don’t even want to think about it, but when you hear it, it’s continuously going on in your mind. I hope that we are all trying exactly that. Praṇām, dear Gurudev, and greetings to everybody here. I would like to share a few experiences that we experienced here in the last few days, which we couldn’t even dream could happen. That reminds us of such a place and such a wonderful divine gift. For years we have gone to Striljka, which reminds us of such a place and is such a heavenly gift. After all that we have experienced in the last few years, with all our shocks from the outside and from the inside, after everything that we have experienced this last year, with all the earthquakes from outside and inside. And when we came to such a place where we could find peace and blessing, and this place definitely has the potential to build something much more, where we could frequently visit and come. And to live in a good way, as one should live with nature. With nature, and in spirituality and peace, and together, and in that way, build all that what Swāmījī is talking to us for so many years, so we could finally get to this oneness with everything, like Gurujī always said: one in all, all in one. This place is now so near, and that is so beautiful. I think that everybody should be involved in building something new, something big, some place where all of us could achieve more and go ahead and live naturally and healthy. Thank you, Gurudev, for giving us this opportunity, and Vivek Purī, Ānandī, and everyone else. Thank you, Gurudev, and of course Vivek Purī and Ānandī, for making this possible. Put it above for a moment. Go back, back, back. Here, here. Stand here, close to our altar. Come more, come. Yeah, yeah. Praṇām Gurudev. Hari om svima. As Dada said, I also was watching those moments and thinking, what would I say in a moment like this? I would like to say something, if I may, in the name of all karma yogīs who have been selflessly working really hard here for months. We came here since winter, when this place was bought. We didn’t really invest in the arrangement of these houses, this space around. What you see now looks really different than from the time that we came, and this is the result of the hard and selfless work of many karma yogīs. Work, and especially after this, we hope that this epidemic will go away, that we will be able to get a lot more. As Gaṅgā said, I would also like to say that this place and everything here is an invitation for all of us to come here and to work. Hopefully, this epidemic will pass very soon, and then larger numbers could come here. Because there is a lot to be done, there is a lot of work still, and we have to build and make so many things. It is really a great blessing that Viśwa Gurujī came, we can say, at the beginning of the big work. We often know how to wait in some ashrams when Gurudev opens, maybe even for a longer period of time, but here we had the blessing that he came practically at the beginning and gave us the inspiration to continue working together on this project. Often, we found ourselves waiting for Gurudev somewhere in some ashrams, but now he came really at the beginning and gave us this new injection to work more and to work harder. I would also like to thank Swami Vivek Purī and Sādhvī Ānandī for their work, their organization, and their selfless efforts here, which are also very hard work. Thank you, Gurudev, for your blessing, your darśan, and your visit. Hari Om. Oṁ Namaḥ Śrī Prabhupāda Pānarāyaṇam. Oṁ Namaḥ Śrī Prabhupāda Pānarāyaṇam.... Asamādas Prabhu Śaraṇāpara Ośiriprabhudeepanara. Asamādas Prabhu Śaraṇāpara Ośiriprabhudeepanara. Śrī Dīp Nārāyaṇ Bhagavān Kī Jai, Deva Dī Dev Devapuruṣa Mahādeva Kī Jai, Indra Dharma Samrāṭ Sadguru Svāmī Madhavān Jī Bhagavān Kī Jai, Alak Purījī Mahādeva Kī Jai, Satya Sanātana Dharma Kī Jai, Viśva Goyū Mahāmaṇḍaleśvara Payaṃ Hansī Svayī Maheśvara Ananta Purī Jī Goyū Deva Kī Jai. Good evening, all dear sisters, brothers, all yoga students, yoga teachers, Yoga in Daily Life. We are in this Kali Yuga. Good evening to all dear sisters, dear brothers, students, practitioners of yoga in everyday life. We are now in Kali Yuga. Alak Purījī is from the Satya Yuga, the time of Śaṅkara Bhagavān Śiva. Satya Yuga, which is one of the best, cosmic self itself. Satya Yuga is one of the best cosmic times. The Dvāpar Yuga is also very beautiful, very good, but it begins to come further. And Treta Yuga, that before Dvāpar Yuga, is Bhagavān Rām, Treta Yuga. Dwapar Yuga was also very good; Bhagavān Rām lived there, and Tretā, Kṛṣṇa. In Treta Yuga, Bhagavān Kṛṣṇa. Now is the Kali Yuga. Yoga in life around the whole world. And also many, many, many yoga centers, yoga teachers, students, ashrams, etc. And we respect all. In that way, you know, I was in 1977. Or when I came to this big country that was Yugoslavia. And since I saw all these disciples, and they understood what yoga means. Many people said from Yugoslavia, they want to say Yogaslavia. And we are all, it means, oneness. This country, Croatia, is a very beautiful, very nice country. And when I came to Croatia for the first time, I came with Vivek Purī. And there was even a hotel, and they said, "Where is the night for me there, on that hotel?" And they said, "The ghost." So I said, "This is your hotel, ghost hotel?" I thought, what kind of hotel is this for ghosts? Ghost in English. I asked, "Is it really a ghost?" He said, "Yes, yes, you are a ghost." In a way, I was a little scared, but in fact, it doesn’t matter. What will happen in the night? I hope the early morning will come. Well, it is a language. So, many bhajans you were singing here. And one bhajan you were speaking in your language. And in many words, there was the word "GOSTA." It is like this, our Satguru Dev Bhagavān Mādhāvānandajī, he said to me, "Wherever you will go, where your foot is, there will be something spiritual that will come with you." Holi Gurujī said, "When you speak from your mouth, it will come true." And many who will not follow your words, then they will be, I don’t want to tell. It means that it goes again from the humans to this creature. Anyhow, Vivek Purījī was a student, very nice at that time. There were many other friends of his. And from that time to now, Vivekananda Purī, now he is Mahāmaṇḍaleśvar, Vivekananda Purī is he like. And in our India, in our akhāḍās, people like him very much. And also, one then came, Mahāmaṇḍaleśvar Gyāneśvar Purī, and he was also very great. Gyaneshwar then is learning Sanskrit, Hindi, English, Rajasthani, Marwari, many languages. And he is in university, and he is doing a great, great job, the work. In spiritualities, all in Sanskrit is learned inside. And he became, he wanted to be an Indian citizen. And now we are working to make him a state citizen of India. And he is taking care of our āśram from Jaipur, from the holy Gurujī’s āśram. And holy Gurujī gave me that ashram, and I gave it to our Jñānavānjī. He did a lot of work, very good, great. And there are also many, many of our bhaktas from your country. Many, many bhaktas come and help with many things. Gyaneshwara’s brother was also in India for a few years. Also in the Devpurījī ashram in Kailāśa. And these students, these teachers, our bhaktas, they followed the words. There is one tree here, and this tree will have blossoms, and many, many fruits will be. But many will fall down. Maybe there were thousands of fruits. 10 feet to 300 fruits will be. So we, myself also, I am not complete. Because the complete or perfect to the cosmic light, few days before our death, there we will know if we are or we are not. But Gurudev has given all energy, all powers, all lectures, everything. We always say, "I give you mantra." I give you this and that, but you have to work. I tell you there is a village there, but you have to go to that house. I am telling you only here, from here. And so, when I came to Western countries, it’s already 52 years, and how many times I went through the whole world’s countries, and I know, and you know, that our, not only our, Mādhavānandajī Bhagavān Gurudev, what he said comes true. It is said, Gurujī said, in the early morning, but you have to open your eyes. Gurujī said, "I will not come and make your eyes full." So, we should come to that. Then it will be. Otherwise, nothing. And so my time is gone, because for a long time I cannot talk about this. But in this Corona, it is nearly two years it will be, and still it will be something. But we hope it will not. But Kali Yuga has come, and if not this, it will be that; if not this, it will be that. So in Kali Yuga, Kali is like coal, black coal. Kali Yuga is Kālī, black coal. But it is said, where there is coal, there is gold also. But gold is little and black is a lot. So, this is Kali Yuga. In Kali Yuga, you know, where it is said when the Kali Yuga comes. Satya Yuga, Dvāpara Yuga, Tretā Yuga, and Kali Yuga. And in Kali Yuga, the king said, "This is my kingdom." Be happy, very good. Be happy, be good, everything is fine. But Kālī came. He came and said to the king, "Who are you?" The king asked, "Who are you?" He said, "I am Kālī. I am not giving you a place here in my kingdom." He said, "You have to give me something, some place." Whatever you give me, but you have to give me something. Kali said, "Give me something small, the smallest, but give me." Then he said, "Okay, in the dark, there’s gold." I’ll give you a little gold. He said, okay. And then he came with the gold, and Kālī said, "Kingdom, king, you gave me the little gold, so he said, "Where will you give me? Where should I be?" Kālī said, "On your head." He said, "On my head?" The king Kālī said, "Yes, and you will take me on your head, and you will carry me, and you will be happy. I will be the greatest." And so, gold came. And now, how much we are running behind gold. Rings, something in your gold, everywhere gold, gold, and he said, Kālī said, "You gave me so little gold, but this gold will be the biggest one for you, and you will also fall down." My words, Kālī said my words, and King, your words, and so it is. You know how much gold now? We are running behind where the gold is. How much gold? How much have you at home? Gold, maybe yes or maybe not, but money, money... and from the money will come the gold. Many people, they don’t know how, where to make all money, the papers. Because gold, the money will be, they always change. But gold is not. So they always buy the gold, buy the gold somewhere. But this gold will kill you, and so it is that gold will kill us. And what is that gold? Because you or we thought this is beautiful for me. Gurujī said, "Maheśvarānand, go, don’t hold anything." Your words will become the truth. So, in this Kali Yuga and this Corona, I was in the Czech Republic and Vivek Purī was there. Then I said, "Like this ashram, make a big one, because in your city there was an earthquake." And so much, two weeks or two months, still there’s an earthquake there. I said to Vivepuri, when we were in Streljki, "You should do something like this, build something," especially when there was an earthquake in Zagreb, and two months after that everything was shaking. Make something like Streljki or our ashram in Djadan. I said, take a little bigger, because you have a big ashram in the city, but you said to me, a little more. He said, "Yes," but he was thinking also with her, "How should we get more?" As Holy Gurujī said, Mahāprabhujī said, one day Mahāprabhujī said to Holy Gurujī, "You are all the times with me, my good disciple and attachment, but now I send you that you should go and give the satsaṅg for all more disciples." All the disciples are there, waiting for you. There was only, like, this wall. On the other side was Mahāprabhujī’s room. So, Holy Gurujī went to the back side of the wall. Guru Vakya. Mahāprabhujī said, "Now, Mādhavadāna, now you go." And Holī Gurujī said, "I don’t know from this, he came from Pālī, and it’s a good Nagar, it’s different and everything." Where should I go? Where will I eat? Where will I sleep? I don’t know. Then Gurujī woke up and came from his bed. And Holī Gurujī was sitting there, maybe with tired tears. And Mahāprabhujī came. And Holī Gurujī stood up again. And then Mahāprabhujī made one bhajan, and that bhajan, you know, in all our holy book of Mahāprabhujī’s holy Gurujī, it is written. There is written all what I told you now. Everything is in your book. Where will I go? Where will I eat? Who will take me home, etc. Where will I eat? Holy Gurujī said, Mahāprabhujī said, Madhavānandjī, or he said Madhavānand, even you will be in the Himalayas somewhere, and there is nothing to eat. But when you are hungry, I will come with food for you and give it to you. That is called Guru Kṛpā, Guru Vakya. And you see how holy Gurujī is. How great holy Gurujī is. And so my Gurujī also told me. When I became a sannyāsī, my mother and my family were so angry. They didn’t know where I was, and Holy Gurujī said, "Go." And I came to Europe. And after two years, one and a half years, I came back from Europe to India. I came, of course, by aeroplane, and that day Holy Gurujī was standing to welcome me. You can’t imagine. So this Guru Kṛpā, and so Vivek Purī, he said, "Okay, I will get more of a little big ashram." But how much and where? Don’t worry, a little distance, a little bit. And when? It will come. And he came from here, and for one week, this ashram came. So it is Mahāprabhujī’s and Swami Madhavānandjī Bhagavān. And Gurujī gave voice in my mouth or in my ears. I don’t know anything. But he said, "Don’t say that you don’t know." Maheshwarananda, what you wish, it will be, and it is like that. And so also, because I said, Gurujī, there is no Hindu anything. Vivek Purījī became Mahāmaṇḍaleśvar, and he said, "Yes, I will have Hindu temples and this and that." And from the government, everything, you know, about nearly 18 years we have had this. All with the governments and everything. But I respect equally, I respect Christians, Muslims, and others. For me, all are my great, great ones. I bow down to them. I don’t say that it is now my Indian and all the Hindus from here. But to all, there should be respect for everyone. And so, don’t worry, and don’t be hasty. Slowly, time slowly, there is some word, you know, day by day, stone by stone, someone said that, you know. So now this stone is on the head of our Vivek Purījī, yes, but peacefully, slowly, this is that. So, thank you very much. You are all here, and Ālak Purījī, so Mahāprabhujī, Holy Gurujī, gave it to me, and Holy Gurujī gave it, and from the Satya Yuga, from Śiva until here, this has come now. Until this moment, it is still there. Vivek Purī and the others went to the Alak Purī and Dev Purī cave, and there is a stone from there that came here. That is Guru Kṛpā, Guru Kṛpā and Guru Vākya. There will be, otherwise we fall down. We come like that, and we are humans, and God has... God has given us the human, and if we can, we will; otherwise, we will be finished. So many of you know, and some do not. So we have today darśan. Darshan, Darshan, Gurudev kā Darshan, Gurudev kā Darshan, Gurudeva Darshan. So now put your cameras, clothes in your pocket, and you will sing.
