Follow the path faithfully

The one path merges all into the divine ocean.

For many months we were not physically together, but through the blessings of Alakhpurījī, Bhagavān Śrī Devpurījī, Aradhi Bhagavān Śrī Dīp Nārāyaṇa Mahāprabhujī, Bhagavān Śrī Dīp Nārāyaṇa Mahāprabhujī, and Sadguru Svāmī Madhavānandajī, we remained healthy and happy. Disciples practiced yoga at home—āsanas, prāṇāyāma, prayers—and many watched via television. Some meditated without mantra or mālā, suddenly lost, not knowing where they are. One deer runs here and there lost; others have the path together. So first know what one is doing—then one gets one path. Many religions have their own traditions, their own mālās and holy names like a mantra. One has to have one path; like many houses in a village are separate families, yet all are one in the village. All are on different paths of some guru, but all must come on their own path. Ultimately, all come to one point where Guru, God, everything comes together. Raindrops fall separately, flow into a creek, then river, then ocean; every creature becomes one, coming from one point and returning to the ocean. The guru is from ages past—Śiva Sat Yuga, Dvāpar Yuga, Tretā Yuga, Kali Yuga; from Śiva to all creatures, all melt into one. Every creature knows its path instinctively—where to put eggs, where to go—God gives this knowing. God gives life and a way; humans are lost and pray, "Please, my Lord, show me my path." That path is within our heart; God is sitting in us, pure like clean water, but we pollute it. Yoga is not only body exercises; postures learned from animals, but the real path comes from the Satguru. The Satguru gives the mantra first, and later the word, the real path, what to do.

"One has to have one path."

"We say, 'Please, my Lord, show me my path.' And maybe that is only within ourself, in our heart."

Good evening, all my dear sisters and brothers, to all of Yoga in Daily Life around the whole world, and to all the many other yoga centers, yoga teachers, and ashrams in every country. We also respect them, and we say to them, Oṃ Namo Nārāyaṇa. We know that for many months we were not all together like this—a long time, perhaps already a year. But we were always together, and that is the blessing of Alakhpurījī, Bhagavān Śrī Devpurījī; Aradhi Bhagavān Śrī Dīp Nārāyaṇa Mahāprabhujī; Bhagavān Śrī Dīp Nārāyaṇa Mahāprabhujī; and our Sadguru Svāmī Madhavānandajī. By their blessings, we are healthy, happy, relaxed, and we are also well at home. It was really true that all yoga practitioners in their lives, all our disciples, everyone in their home, were thinking more about yoga. Our friends, brothers, and sisters, whose life is yoga, were longing to see us. And many people were at home doing the prayers, practice, āsanas, prāṇāyāma, and satsaṅga. Many schoolchildren were all home. I think, because I couldn’t see them, but you saw me with my Swāmījī on television, so you were practicing every day—morning, lunchtime, or evening. We had a very nice time. Only one thing: we could not go to work. Many companies closed. Those who worked for the government had everything—their money, salary, etc. But others had some problems with money. Still, in many countries, almost every country in the world, the government gave people some kind of compensation. Mantra… we are with them already now. And what are we doing in our meditation? So many people are meditating without mantra, without mālā. Then it is like this: people suddenly lose everything. They don’t know where they are, what is there, or if they are sleeping. Suddenly, they have no mantra, no mālā, and so they are lost. It’s like one deer, and then all the other deer are somewhere else; one deer was lost, running here and there, but nothing is there. Others have the path; they have it all together. So first, our self, and we know what we are doing—then we get one path. Many other countries, many other religions, they are doing according to their own traditions, and that is very good. Everyone has their own path; otherwise, nobody would do the prayers. Different kinds of religions and different kinds of prayers. In them there are also many mālās; they have their own mālā or some holy name, and that name—some of their holy name—is like a mantra, and on that we are meditating. That means we are thinking of Holy Mother, Holy Father, or others like Kṛṣṇa, Rāma, Buddha, Gurudeva, and so on. But it is like this: one has to have one path. For example, in this little village here there are many houses. That means there are many husbands and wives, and they have children. Every house is one family with its own children, and others have theirs. Yet we are all one in this city or village. So we are all on different paths of some guru. And some gurus are only on the surface, only talking too much. So there are many yogic or yoga practices, many different levels of it, but they all must come on their own path. Still, we are all on the path, and we will all come to one point where the Guru, God, or somewhere… it all comes together. Like when the rain comes from the clouds: there is one drop of water, and all is one drop by drop. We see how many drops are falling, but they all come together. Then they flow into a little creek, and that creek runs into the river, and the river enters the ocean. Similarly, every creature—humans or any other creature—will become one. Coming from one point, they go up, come together, and return again to become the ocean. And that guru is not just from this year only; it is from ages and ages. Like ours from the Śiva Sat Yuga, Dvāpar Yuga, Tretā Yuga, Kali Yuga—from Śiva to all other creatures, we will all melt into one. So we cannot say, “Only we exist now.” Yes, as a human we are, but every human has a different color, different countries, different heights, yet as humans, all are that one. And all birds and animals, they also have their eggs or babies, and they have their path. Every bird knows how to fly automatically; the mother will show, the father will show, but again they are all coming to the light of God. Some are lost, but one day they will find the path. We all have been—how many times we were, we don’t know. Every creature knows where to put its eggs; if the rain comes, they know beforehand and will take all eggs up to a high place or into the trees. So every creature knows where to go, where we are, and where we are going. Similarly, also our trees, grass, bushes—everything; that is also life. All trees are life, and they give us much oxygen; we live from that. So it is said that everyone has the path, and they know God has given them this. God will say, for example, “A snake.” You see, what we have is our body, our feet, hands, toes, fingers—everything. And a snake, what has it? Eyes and eating, that’s all. But this too is living very much, and it feels very happy if it can live. That’s it. God has given to everyone how to do it, and God has given this life; you have to go in that way. So, O man, don’t think that only we… and God has given, but who is God? Where is God? Many religions or traditions have said that God is only in His space. We worship in different ways, and that is what God has given us. Similarly, our path of yoga is a very clear path, and it is said that as we live, animals and all creatures also want to live like that. O man, God said, “I gave you everything.” And He gave us this, that’s all. But we know that God has gone; He is observing, but He gave the human everything. And you know we are, but still we are lost. We will lose it; the path is lost. And therefore we say to God, we pray—we call Him God, we call Him Lord—because we are lost, or we don’t want to be lost. We say, “Please, my Lord, show me my path.” And maybe that is only within ourself, in our heart. So He is sitting in us. Who is that? We are that, or it is He. How do we know that? Because we and they—what we will say is the same thing. So these two become one. For example, water is water. But there are different qualities. Similarly, God is the pure water, and the water is now not very good. That’s it, because water is water—whether it is milk, water, or juice, everything is essentially water. What we call “water” can become very unclean, polluted. All polluted. Now, the one water we have in a glass is very nice, very clean, very good. The same water, but it is polluted, and sometimes we can’t even see what it is. Because you gave something that should not be there. So it is, “Oh God, You are all pure.” God gave everything, O human: “I gave you something very pure, very like a God.” But what happens? What are we doing? Of course, nobody can say that you are not good, but we know who is who. So in this way, our yoga is not only exercises; otherwise, we would only be living in this body. Yes, and you know that in yoga, mostly all postures are from the animals. You know how many? Yes. So in such a world, which I want to know, it doesn’t say it like this; we should say, “Yes, thank you.” So, if you know, then you can tell, “Will you take this same thing?” The next one will say, “Who are you to tell me like this?” Our tongue is closed; we can’t tell them like this. So we are human, living a human life, but we are completely confused, and we don’t know. And we said, “We know. We do what we want.” Who will say no? So where is God then? That’s it. Many, many things. So now is coming the Kali Yuga. In yoga, it is not only movements of the body, not only inhalation and exhalation, oxygen. And it is said, when the Guru gives you mantra and some sādhanā, then they said, “Gurudeva, now what will you give us further?” And then he said, “Yes, I will give you the real path.” “Oh God, Gurudeva, so many years, and you said now I will give it?” “No, no, the mantra is with you. But then the word, that path, I give you from my mouth: what to do. That’s why. That is very important.” When you are from primary school to college, you learn a lot of things, but then the professor will say, “My dear student, now be happy, relaxed, and do good things.” But you said other mantras: A, B. He said, “Yes, that time was that, and that mantra should be there at all times.” But now you have knowledge, and what you will do is good. And so our exercises, whatever you have, is okay. But it is called the Satguru. Satguru Swāmījī, Āj toya tehi sayam, Yā Ānandakaro Dhinakamala. Devadhī Dev Dev Pṛṣa Mahādev Kī Jai Haradhī Bhagavān Śrī Dīp Nārāyaṇ Mahāprabhujī Kī Jai Satguru Svāmī Madhavānandjī Bhagavān Kī Jai
