Every drop will merge with the ocean

Devotion manifests through humble service, not through the ego's claim of action. In the story of the bridge, all creatures contributed according to their capacity; the divine's direct intervention sank the stones, teaching that grace flows through surrendered work, not personal ownership. The physical space here is sanctified by the presence of a great guru, whose power remains. His instruction for a shared Guru Pūrṇimā was a direct transmission of grace. The essence of all true teachings is humility and universality. The sun shines for all; possessive identification with "my guru" or "my God" is a limited, human construct. Great beings like Rāma and Jesus exemplified this humility. Spiritual practice aims to merge the individual drop into the ocean of purity, where all impurities are cleansed. The path requires looking beyond immediate obstacles toward the vast horizon of unity. The final test is always compassion, as shown when Yudhiṣṭhira refused heaven without his loyal dog. Our collective sitting in satsaṅg generates this unifying energy, which is the real practice beyond mere technique.

"My dear squirrel, my dear squirrel, I love you so much. You also do high work."

"If someone gives you a slap on one cheek, you should offer the other also."

There was a squirrel present when everyone was throwing stones into the ocean to build the bridge. Someone asked the squirrel, "What are you doing?" The squirrel replied, "God Rāma and Sītā are there, and we wish to bring Sītā back. We all need a bridge, and all the stones are floating." The squirrel declared, "I will also contribute." But how could it help? It explained, "Here is the ocean. I will go into the water, then into the sand, and I will come to where people are making the bridge." The squirrel then rolled in the sand and carried it to the bridge site. It is said that Bhagavān Rāma was sitting and watching everyone work. Hanumānjī was there, and even Lakṣmaṇa was working. Bhagavān Rāma said, "OK, I will also work." When he took a large stone and placed it on the bridge, his stone sank. Everyone else's stones floated, but when Rāma placed his, they all fell in. Bhagavān Rāma observed this: everyone's stones floated, but his sank. They said to him, "Bhagavān Rām, you should not place stones below. If you do, then everybody will go deep into the water. Please, Rāma, you sit down, otherwise we all will sink." So Bhagavān Rāma sat down, and his entire army—composed of monkeys, bears, and others—continued the work. The squirrel was also working. Then God Rāma said, "My dear squirrel, my dear squirrel, I love you so much. You also do high work." The squirrel came to God Rāma, who gave it his love and power. Its back became very fine, white and grey. It is said that squirrels still gather things and bury them in the earth to distribute to everyone. Because the squirrel sat near God Rāma and was brought nuts but forgot them, it began to sit and make a mālā. Therefore, it is said this squirrel should be holy; nobody should kill it. If someone kills a squirrel, they must make amends. Many things happened in the past, and we are still here because of them. Similarly, we are here now. Consider how many millions of people have stepped on this ground, coming for satsaṅg—big satsaṅg, leisure satsaṅg, walking. This is a very holy place. Remember, Mahāprabhujī, Holī Gurujī was sitting here, and everywhere was full of his presence. When Holī Gurujī was here, his power definitely remains here. There was a tree a little down from where I am sitting now. That tree is gone; I think it burned away. But I was sitting exactly here where I sit now. There was this tree, and I was here while everyone else went for lunch. I was looking toward my room. It was the time of Guru Pūrṇimā, and I was thinking about Holī Gurujī under this tree. A message came from Holī Gurujī to me: "My son and my wife, this year you should do Guru Pūrṇimā with me." It happened because he said, "Otherwise, I think I will not be with you for Guru Pūrṇimā." And that is what occurred. From here, I was speaking to Gurujī, and he was talking to me, but only I could see him. That was when Holī Gurujī came here for Guru Pūrṇimā, and then we had to go to India. One day, Holī Gurujī said, "I am going now." So many people came very close, crowding around. I said to all our bhaktas, "Please, we should all sit so we can see Holy Gurujī's whole body." Gurujī was looking left and right and walking so that everyone could see. Otherwise, if we were standing, someone might only see the top of Holy Gurujī's head. We told him, and he sat on this side while Gurujī and I walked. That time had a great, great atmosphere. One can understand what a guru is, what a great saint is. This is not only about our guru, but all other gurus or saints. We should not dismiss them. The sun is the sun, and this sun is not only for us—not only for the earth, not for the water only, but for the ants, animals, trees, and grass. Everything comes from the sun or the light of the moon. Similarly, all are there. We think in terms of "my guru," "my religion," or "my God." This is human thinking. Whether the light is in Czech, Slovakia, Czechoslovakia, Germany, or Poland, everywhere there is sunlight. Yet everyone fights for their country. Sūrya Nārāyaṇa said, "Why are you fighting? It is my light and my place, so live there happy and healthy." If we die, we cannot take this land with us. It is only temporary. We walk, our feet step, but not on this earth in that possessive way. We must understand how we are and what we could do. That was God Rāma—how he was and how humble and great he was. We always sing many bhajans: "Sītā Rām, Sītā Rām... Sītā Siddharām, Siddharām, Siddharām..." God Rāma was very humble and was for everyone, very, very much. In life, we saw last winter, and it was beautiful. What is Ram? The Rāmāyaṇa. We have heard many stories, and we also have the Mahābhārata. The Mahābhārata is very profound. What we will be now depends on how we engage with it—as Rāma or as Kṛṣṇa. And when Kṛṣṇa comes, who will be next? Then there will be a war, and we will make everything very quickly. Bhagavān Rāma will say, "It will happen automatically; don't worry." There have been many lives. You know about Bhagavān Jīva. We have not seen Rāma. We have not seen Kṛṣṇa. We have not seen many others from before. Similarly, we all have not seen Jesus. But those who said they have seen him are why we remember, and we see how humble he was. He even said to everybody, "Please, please tell our disciples, 'Don't fight; just be humble.'" Leave it. And Jesus said to his disciples, "Please, I wash your feet. Please do not do anything to somebody, to kill or such things." He said, "I don't know; I have not seen him." But in some holy books, it is said if someone gives you a slap on one cheek, you should offer the other also. But we do not listen to this teaching. So who is this Jesus, and where are we? How was it similarly with Bhagavān Rām? Finally, because all bad things were happening, even from his own kingdom, he was sleeping on the floor. Sītā was a little farther away, also sleeping on the floor. God Rāma did not sleep on a bed; he also slept on the floor. That is a great thing, like us here. If we are thinking we should, if now, then we should know that we are one. One should tell us, "This is not a good person, that was not." So we should not be like this. It is said that each and every drop of water will merge into the ocean and become the ocean. Even very dirty water will come into the ocean, and within no time, that water will become very clean. Yes, all dirt comes to the ocean, and it all becomes clean, everything again from the ocean. That ocean, Father Ocean, is beautiful. So, what we are coming for in yoga is okay. But what I am talking about is not this religion or that religion, but every religion, every good friend. If we come to each other humbly and kindly, then impurities will go to the purities—that ocean. In that way, our life, our practice—we came for āsana and prāṇāyāma, not just that. We sit in concentration, anuṣṭhāna. But we should be above that. Anuṣṭhāna is very good because we want to rise above. It is not easy, but it will be very easy, and that is why we are coming. Look at the creatures, what the birds are doing. They are dancing for us, singing. They say to each other, "Yes, he talked peacefully. Yes, birds, can you tell us something? Yes, yes, he was, he was, once more." So you see that everywhere, everyone sees us. We don't see, but God sees us. In that, we have to become humble and kind. Do not say, "Oh, who is this person? Why is this here? Why not sit there?" Do not say this. Of course, you also give many lectures. But you know, when there is a lecture—a big lecture here every day—and you know when I am talking, I am looking to the past, to the last person. Those in front are mostly looking like this, so from time to time, oh my God, very good, so okay, very difficult to see here, yes, but there is more beautiful looking from there. Here, those sitting here, very good, yes. So it means, do not look down. See into the far distance. There may be stones or sand, thorns or stones. I will look far, and that means our path is completely clean and free—the sky. There is no highway, but it is a cosmic light. When we look from far, our high roads—five roads this side, five roads that side, or seven, even eight in America—but when we go up, it is like our fingers, one by one. But our ocean, our land, our heart, our road is that. So, look there. We do not need to cut each other; become one. Therefore, Holy Gurujī said: "So world in all and all in one." Then we are in Brahmaloka. There is the yogī, or holy or great guru. We are not a guru still. We have many gurus. I think I am a guru, but my dear, on the day of the last time of my life, then some steps you will have. Then it will say, "Yes, you are that Brahman." So you become in Parabrahma, this beautiful over all. The rest is fighting this, that, everything. So we know the yoga practices; we have our books and everything. But we are going farther and farther... far. Will you achieve that distance? It is not easy. What is the horizon? Oh, beautiful horizon. So, let's take an aeroplane. We will catch... we cannot catch it. As long as you go, the horizon will be there. So, what is it? Then you turn left side, right side, back side, up, on the earth. There are my feet, my log. Will I come, or will I remain here? We will stay here. We will be dust, and this dust will be dust. And you know, here in all these countries everywhere, you can see after 50 years how much the earth is coming up. It is not going out, of course. What is flowing goes to the ocean, so that is otherwise. We are here. Sometimes we are angry at ourselves, at others. "I will eat that, I will go there, I will jump, I will run." That's everything. There were many ṛṣis, great in that art of India, the Himalayas and India. Normal people, farmers, but they were so spiritual. It is said that from God, calling him, came with the... what goes up into the ocean, yes. Puṣpaka Vimāna. Yes, that just comes, and God sends them, two persons. Dharmarāja himself comes and takes them up. Really, it is like going—an aeroplane is going, going, going for you. Yes, it is not a joke. How many have there been in India? Yes, many, many, not only one. After, it was also the Pāṇḍavas. And of all the Pāṇḍavas, only one could go. There was a dog with him, and so the people came to the Rudister. The black dog also came into the house. Those who came to take him up said, "No, no... dog cannot come. No one, only you. You are that, that you are capable to go there." So Yudhiṣṭhira said, "I step out. My dog was running with me in the snow, very cold, but he was with me all the time. Now I will go and leave my dog here alone? No, I will not go." At that time, the dog turned from the other side to this back side, and that was Dharmarāja Yudhiṣṭhira. "I was looking all the time to see if you are the right ones or not. That was the last minute to see the test. I became a black dog. And you see, you want to go down? Then I am Dharmarāja, not a dog." And then it went up. So we know at least five we have seen gone into heaven. Similarly, in many, many other religions, in many, many... things, very great things. Many come to make clean, and they were working very hard. It is said that time is gold, and gold is money. So all were fighting with gold, but it is said, "This gold is not that. Come with me to that gold, to go to the Brahmalokas." Many, many in many religions, now it is very rare, but there are still some. We do not know who that is, but they are. We are sitting here, and perhaps some of you very often, some of you, all of you, and you make sitting this energy with us. They do not say, "I am a guru. I am okay. I will sit up." That is not that. That will sit down somewhere, because when you are up, you are all up. But who is down? Can I get from them up? Many things happen. So that's life and spirituality, and what we do—our yoga and daily life. In this yoga and daily life, we have so many qualities. Āsanas, prāṇāyāmas, haṭha—all this is okay, but one day you will do nothing. You may just look like this; there will be someone who will not see us because he will see all as Brahman. But we do not know, so we do not know who or where it will be. Therefore, we are coming to the seminars. It means we are going to the satsaṅg. We are all coming together and sitting in such a way that we are all very holy. So you are all sitting; otherwise, people would be talking, blah, blah, blah. But your feelings, everyone, in oneness. And when we look at our trees, unbelievable, really, really, not a joke. I was in India four months ago. I came from India; I went from here to India, sorry, very cold. There was snow, and there were no leaves on the trees, but it was beautiful. So, everything. And now, how it is. So we see, even if we do prāṇāyāma or not, we are doing it automatically. How is it? And if we go into a coal mine, how will very nice air be coming? Or in big cities? You know, it is many times. In New Delhi, you go from your house for one kilometer to bring vegetables or something, and then we come out. Our clothes here, when we come, are dark. Dark. And when we clean, something very nice comes. Dark, dark, very dark. Dark is dark. So, and now here we are, very relaxed. We are, so, very good prāṇāyāma, yes. Many times I think even our dress is cleaning, so do not do, cut, drink, clean your shirt every day today, okay, because our water is not so clean. So, do not use too much water, okay? Come and relax here. Cold water, then, is coming. Prāṇa yoga is like this, not only exercises, and this will be whole life. Do not think, "Oh my god, one week, two years, three years," I think, Swāmījī's, but I... Will go to other Gurujī, you can go, no problem. But finally, again, you have to come back to the tree, the nest. The birds are going, flowing everywhere, and coming back to their nest. Yes. It does not matter where you are, that will not let you, it will not let you. Even if you go on the train, your sleep will come with you. The train is going, and you are sleeping. Yes. Nidrā. Nidrā. Nidrā, please give out. Nidrā, please give out. If sleeping, give the sleep to someone who is the dreamer and the sleeper. I have to be alert that I am. Many, many dishes, they do not want to sleep, and we people are like this. If one day we did not sleep, the next day we are completely awake because oxygen is not enough; that is why we call it Yoga Nidrā. And Mahā Holī Gurujī has made this beautiful bhajan, very nice: "Yogī Janakī Yoga Nidrā." Now, this bhajan, okay?
