The Hidden Powers in Humans

A sāttvic lifestyle and spiritual practice confer protection and reveal inner potential. During global restrictions, practitioners maintained vegetarian diets, avoided alcohol, and engaged in spiritual practice. Inquiries across many countries revealed a very low incidence of serious illness, attributed to this sāttvic living. The vibration of sacred hymns, or bhajans, transmitted benefit even without intellectual understanding of the words. This points to the hidden powers within humans, such as the chakras and kuṇḍalinī described in ancient knowledge. These inner energies are mapped within the very structure of ancient scripts like Devanāgarī. Cultivating these powers requires purity in action, speech, and diet, aligning oneself against the accumulating dust of negativity in the world.

"From our group, about one to two percent of people got the coronavirus. They were affected a little, but they did not die."

"Even if they do not understand the words, the vibration of those words... it comes to us through our practice."

My dear yoga teachers and students, we have been here for nearly three months. The ashram was full of people, which, as is always said, was due to the grace of the Guru, the Gurukṛpā. Nevertheless, the government was very good to us and permitted even a hundred people to be here. Similarly, in many other countries—for example, in Hungary, where we spent a full month, and elsewhere—Yoga in Daily Life has many followers. We know that entire countries are facing problems, leading to various restrictions. Governments everywhere have imposed closures, sending people to their homes where they cannot go anywhere. You know what is happening. Yet, all Yoga in Daily Life people around the world, from here to there, stayed connected through our telephones and similar means. Many people came to us through that, and from other countries, some who have not even seen me physically received Yoga in Daily Life and practiced it. Our people also went to meet them. For nearly a year or more, in every country, I have been asking all people from all our Yoga in Daily Life centers and all our disciples. While at home, they were practicing their yoga and maintaining a vegetarian diet all the time. I began asking everyone, except in India. I was not in India for long, and because, unfortunately, many people there now practicing yoga say, "We don’t talk about meat and alcohol," I did not ask them about their practices. However, for our Yoga in Daily Life in all other countries, perhaps 95% of our people did not eat meat or consume alcohol. So I asked those who were not eating meat, alcohol, or any drugs: How many people remained, how many died, what happened? How many of them contracted the coronavirus, and how many died? From our group, about one to two percent of people got the coronavirus. They were affected a little, but they did not die. They did not die. What we were eating is sāttvic. Sāttvic means no alcohol, no meat, and not eating various kinds of impure food. I have obtained the results. I have the paper. I have also received reports from Europe, Australia, everywhere—from our Yoga in Daily Life. And that is the result of our good food, spiritual practices, meditations, concentrations, and bhajans. When we have a bhajan, it means singing spiritual songs composed by great saints. First, I want to mention our Ālak Purījī, Dev Purījī, Mahāprabhujī, Holī Gurujīs, Brahmanandjī, Premanandjī—how many disciples of Mahāprabhujī and Gurujī are very great in mantras and bhajans. Many people may compose some bhajans themselves, but there is no other name like those who are saints. Their compositions are good, but not as great as what the saints create. In the same way, our Yoga in Daily Life, all ashrams, and the many centers in different countries—in Czech countries, there are so many yoga centers I cannot even count them all, and they are all very spiritual and very good. Similarly, in Slovakia, Austria, Hungary, Croatia, etc. All our people, during the coronavirus period, were singing bhajans. They were singing bhajans in their houses, one family with other families, like this. Many people were singing bhajans here in Europe, in Australia, for the people there. Now the machines and instruments are there. So, we have obtained the... but again I would tell you, I asked all our people: how many were living, who was not attacked by the coronavirus? This means that when we are singing a bhajan, that bhajan may be... because in other countries, people may learn the bhajan but not know the meaning. Yet, even if they do not understand the words, the vibration of those words—and, from within, how the master or guru or saints are giving from their mouth, what kind of knowledge and words are coming—it comes to us through our practice. It means we are affected in every house, for every person, in every yoga center, and everywhere through these bhajans. Everything was there, and that is why you see how many people were listening to our bhajans. In that way, we come again to a very nice point: this is called the hidden powers in humans. We then get to the next topic, which is the book The Hidden Power in Man: Chakras and Kuṇḍalinī. Now, regarding Chakras and Kuṇḍalinī, you know we have our book. Thousands and thousands of books are available everywhere. This knowledge has been given in such a great sense by Mahāprabhujī, Holī Gurujī, and many other sādhus. Very good saints there also, like Śivananda, Brahmananda, and many, many people who truly looked inside. Others went to the library, took many papers and books, something from here and there, and compiled it. That was not right. So, even when we see this picture here, we have to understand what it is. You know that all of this is in the Sanskrit or Hindi language. This is inside us; we have our letters. Our letters exist in many, many languages. But what we have comes from the highest, what they call the... I want the word... Devanāgarī. Devanāgarī. Thank you. Deva. Deva means God. It doesn’t matter from which country, any religion, any spirituality. Anyone who knows very well can understand. And what is that called? This Nāgarī. So, Nāgarī means "of the city," pertaining to letters. That is why all this Kuṇḍalinī, chakras, and all we have—it is all in our letters. It is one of the best scripts, and it is very, very ancient. In all of this, what is in this cakra? It is not only a cakra. In this one letter, what is contained? And with these letters, we can make good or bad. You write good letters, or you write negative letters. So, in these two things, it is very important to have knowledge. Through these, our chakras, all that we have... And then, if we can understand exactly, we know that in our body, what is this kuṇḍalinī and this energy? And this is something only a human can achieve. And how can one be sāttvic? Sāttvic means very pure. What can we drink? What can we eat? Where can we go? What can we do? What can we speak? How can we be good to everyone? No killing, no harming. And again, in our life, there are the Satyuga, Dvāparayuga, Tretāyuga, and Kaliyuga. We know those four yugas, those four time periods. It means slowly, slowly the dust is coming. What is that dust? The dust means negativity. It is the dust of negativity. And so, how people are not good to each other, human to human. Look at how many countries there are. Look how much money they spend on fighting. It is unbelievable, and killing. Oh man, why do you do it? But they are doing it. And so, in this book, what we have is The Hidden Powers in Humans. And you see the chakras and kuṇḍalinī. We will continue in the coming days. I know I begin this with the chakras and kuṇḍalinī, but it was there first. How to begin? So, for three days, two or three days, starting from our toes, about our nails, from there—each and every part of the body, even as small as a needle, contains all these techniques. Then you can progress through this path. This picture is not mine; it is from someone in South India. I know his name, and he was not a sannyāsī, but he was spiritual. So, if you make yourself a sannyāsī or not, wearing orange or white dress is not enough. If you become a sannyāsī and wear orange, that is not sufficient. What matters is what you are doing here in your practice, how we all were practicing, with many people there. We will meet once more this week. Have a nice day. The hidden powers in humans, chakras and Gaṇeśa. Thank you. Adios.
