Practising with Vishwaguruji
Aśvinī Mudrā is a practice of controlled energy through posture and breath.
Sit comfortably with hands on knees. Close your eyes and chant Oṁ, feeling the vibration move from the navel to the crown and to the nostrils. Bring the head down, chin toward the shoulder, with hands applying equal pressure on the knees. This is the mudrā. Perform it twenty-five times, contracting with inhalation and releasing with exhalation. Do not hold the contraction long. The vibration travels through the spinal cord to the ears and ascends. This energy, Śakti, is a universal power. The practice is like controlling a horse, requiring complete bodily control. After repetitions, chant Oṁ five times from the navel and relax.
"Feel it in the whole body. From the navel to the top of the head, then back again to the nostrils."
"This vibration, when we release it, will spread through the whole body very finely once again."
