Modern life has brought widespread disease, largely due to adulterated food from chemical additives and seed modifications. This harms humanity and all animals. We must return to organic, original foods and teach our children this and familial respect, as connection is lost. True knowledge comes from ancient scriptures, not transient modern sources. Spiritual practice is essential. We need healthy food, a pure yoga practice, and authentic guru-disciple relationships. For physical health, adopt a simple fast of two days per week, drinking only good water. Practice key techniques: Aśvinī Mudrā to heal hemorrhoids, applying a tiny amount of oil or ghee to the navel daily for overall health, and Brahmrī to alleviate headaches. These require consistent practice over time.

Now, looking back many years, perhaps a hundred years ago, there was a disease called cancer. Cancer existed, but not as it is today. In all hospitals we see, most people are greatly affected by this disease. It is terrible. It is said that humans have always had cancer, but not like in this Kali Yuga. There are so many chemicals and additives in everything—all vegetables and fruits. We do not know why they have done this, why they are altering these fruits. They are changing fruits from one type to another. Many fruits are modified so they can only have other seeds; they cannot produce seeds from our original fruits. We were not buying seeds from all foreign sources for our farmers, nor did we ask them to buy seeds, because we had seeds from our own stock. They have made such modifications to these seeds which are not healthy for us, and this is also attacking us, causing these diseases. Furthermore, consider what they put into animals and many other things—what we call the vegans are trying very hard to get everything back to its original state. It will come, it will come, but still it is not like that. Thus, humans are killing humans, and not only humans but all other animals too. We know that sooner or later everyone will die; no one is immortal. But in the past, when people were dying, they were not so ill. It would just happen; the body would give up in a day or two. Now we see how many people are in hospitals and how much suffering there is. In that way, I think we should, in your countries, strive to have everything very good. In Europe it is still better; try to get all organic food for your house. If there is one day with no organic food to eat, then do not eat for that day. It is no problem; we will not die. It is better and very good to fast; there is a practice of fasting. In this way, we should all instruct our children. In this time, only rare children become like their parents and follow them. There are many things regarding what we should do—families, children, parents, how to live, how to act. Nowadays, everything is no longer in our hands. We should now try to guide our children and our parents; we should have more presence in our homes. Do not always run out. How many children, when they come home from school or college, are always running out in the evening? Why do they go out everywhere? Why can they not receive knowledge from their parents? Parents give more lectures and good things to children outside, not at home. So we have to give much respect and be good to our children. We must teach them what to do, what not to do, what should not be eaten, and how to be with parents, brothers, and sisters. We have to bring our humanity back. In that way, our people are, yes, somewhat on track, but still your children cannot come and follow you because we did not give that kind of knowledge to them. Now they do not listen to you, they do not ask you, and there is no connection. It is said that mostly, the children control the parents. It is similar with disciples and guru. Are the disciples following our gurus or not? Many things have happened; there was one guru whose disciples hanged him, or something like that. So, what is the relationship between guru and disciples? It is like this still. We also hear that many follow and many do not; they want to do what we are telling, or they want us to give them things, and that is not good. So we have to learn more about our inner self. Try to see, so meditate or think very deeply, and read the holy scriptures. There are books, libraries, many old books. Nobody goes there and reads everything. Those scriptures which are from 200 years or older—we are not reading them. Every year we are changing the books in schools and colleges. And sometimes we only write on the wall, and now they do not even write on the wall—only on the telephone, and everybody says "yes," but what is written? What is written lasts for years, and what is written now? What they are giving us is knowledge, and what was before is knowledge, and this is not good. Spiritual people are very rare now. Look at the Bible—are people reading it every day or not? The Bhagavad Gītā—has somebody read all of it? The Vedas contain much knowledge for humanity. Humans become truly human with those books. These humans are also human, but dead humans knew what it should be for a human: humanity. We are learning, we are listening, we are giving, of course, but that has no sense in it. You have one apple tree, a beautiful apple. Now they take that apple and put it into another, and it is completely changed. We have on our farms, and somewhere in our house, some apples that are old, very old, and that is fruit. How that is, and how others are doing, is completely not good. Consider the water, for example, on your Adriatic coast. How much? The people in summer or winter, wherever they go—how is the water not so clean? They will not follow us, but we would follow them. Please, come back. And so it is like this: many, many hospitals, and there is no place because so many people are always ill. In that way, many of our yoga people and yoga centers have also changed many things. But those who know and who were listening—what is the Ṛṣi’s Guru’s center and ashrams, etc.? They are searching for that one. So, just as we need good, healthy food, similarly we need a healthy yoga seat, healthy relationships between gurus and disciples, and healthy knowledge. I was thinking today about what I would tell you. I had an idea in my head, but when I came to Mahāprabhujī’s place, it always gives me what the ṛṣis, the great saints, speak inside me. Also, you are speaking and listening from those ṛṣis. When I was thinking about what to tell you today, I had an idea, but when I sat at Mahāprabhujī’s place, the ṛṣis gave me this topic, and this topic is coming through you as well. We may change our dresses, and we change something on our body—many, many things—what do you call them? Makeup. Yes, makeup. So, makeup and normal—what is the difference? This difference is chemicals and everything. It goes on, and then even when cleaning with water, it comes out. I am not making a joke, but I can tell you: they clean everything, then look in the mirror and say, "My God," and again put something on and go to sleep. That is it. This is not reality. And so it is with our fruits, our vegetables, our milks, our honeys—they are all completely changing. I have seen many people in these countries: when all villages here have their own vegetables, they are doing very well and are healthy. In the city, there are five, six, seven, or eight wells in a building. Who will grow anything there if they do not have space? That is a problem. We should establish our people to make very nice farms with healthy things, healthy animals like cows, and these vegetables we should sell in the cities. People are searching now; if you say, "We have organic everything," they go and buy it. Do you buy? Yes, but they ask, "Where is it?" It is much better to use some kind of technology to have a very good farm. Everyone and the animals would be there. All milk should be the best, and everything should be as it was; then live again, come back to this, our world. We should come back to the world, otherwise everything is... we are all... people are killing or talking against each other, human to human. If you eat healthy food, we will not have a big stomach and such things. Yes. So people are all... there is something, I do not know, I have forgotten, but in the street, in the city, there is someone on the corner eating something and giving them something, and it is not healthy. Now you see how many people are not healthy. So, try to eat well. And I would tell you now: three times a month—no, not a month—in one week, two days we should not eat. That practice will give us health; it will always keep us healthy. It is said that every day, if possible, after you wash yourself in the bathroom, dry your body and then apply a little oil. In this Brahmrī, we have many good effects for our body: the whole brain, inner brain, headaches—you know, a lot of headache. So do it. Do not let them go into the stomach quickly; chew more in the mouth. So this is our path to come into this. Now we will do another meditation. So, all sit together for your meditation, however you like. Any posture you like, and you can also change from time to time. You can change it, but come to your meditation, or whatever you are told. And that is that your word from your left hand, or if you are right, you have the mālā in your hand. Okay, are you using the right side? Yes, some are doing with the left hand. Is there anybody with mālā in the left hand? Okay? It means, no, no, it is no problem. Right or left, no problem. The mālā is okay. If someone has only one hand, no right one, then of course everything is left. So all is good. The main thing is that we have to use and work with this mālā. So, with your mālā as you are holding it, now place it at your nābhi, your navel. Hold it there so there is pressure, not very strong pressure, but yes, on your navel. If someone has a big stomach like this, then put something like this first, yes, and then put that little stick like this to the wall and then practice. Yes, there are. Oh, he is sitting here.
