Mahaprabhuji's Mahasamadhi Celebration (4/4)

The essential shelter is found at the Guru's feet, the sole source of grace and liberation.

The root of meditation and liberation is worship of the Guru. All pride in the perishable body and worldly attainments is useless. One must abandon attachment, not the form itself. Time is a devouring serpent; one must learn to bow before God, not only before death. The Guru's shelter removes all worry and fear. Through faith and constant association with saints, one realizes the self is not separate from divine consciousness. The mind must reside at the Guru's feet, giving up the entire world. The true charity is the charity of knowledge. In the Guru's shelter, actions no longer create attachment, and the seeker becomes united with the supreme reality.

"Having come to your shelter, what worry do I have?"

"The root of liberation is the Guru's grace."

Filming location: Jadan, Rajasthan, India

God bless you. Victory to Maheśvara Nanda Purījī Mahārāj, the World Teacher. Victory to the Sages and Ascetics of India; I bow to Brahma. I bow to the Complete Guru. I bow to the Assembly. Performing auspicious steps only. Destroying endless obstacles, I praise Hari, I praise the Guru. All saints offer praise; praise to Hari, praise to Rāma. What vision will show me my own essence? The root of meditation is worship of the Guru. The root is the Guru's feet as mantra. The root is the Guru's word. The root of liberation is the Guru's grace. He bestows the Name of Hari. In constant association with saints, the liberated one finds blissful Rāma. I have come to your shelter; what worry do I have? I have come to your shelter; what worry do I have? You take everyone's news. Having come to your shelter, what worry do I have? Dreams are poisonous, dreams are poisonous, they are transient and moving. Falsehood comes, falsehood is a great fraud. O hand of truth, victory is a great fall. Having come to your shelter, what loss is there? You take everyone's news. Having come to your shelter, what loss is there? God bless you. I take everyone’s news. What shame has come in your shelter? By taking from your own home, I have spent my days. By taking from your own home, I have spent my days. What shame has come in your shelter? What worry is there in having taken shelter? What worry is there in having taken shelter? Without faith in you, one wanders fearfully. The steady Rāma, living with faith, is carefree. The steady Rāma, trusting, is carefree. Having come to your grace-filled shelter, what worry is there... You take everyone's news, I have come to your shelter. What concern is there for anyone? Victory to the True Guru's lineage. Victory to Śrī Dīp Nārāyaṇa Bhagavān. Lord, I have read the commentary on Your Name. Some days passed in childhood, some days remain unknown. You are that, so I am. I am that, so You are. My God, within me is just a little. You are that, so I am that, You are. If I am despondent, my comfort is only You. When the heart met You, You alone kept saying. When the heart met You, what did You keep saying? You are that, I am that... God, there is not a little within me. I am in solitude. I met the light of the eyes. When the sight became one, I felt shy. Now what shyness remains? You are that, You are that, I am. You are bliss, You are. You are that bliss, I am. That is the light of consciousness. The light met and merged. That is the light of consciousness. The light became blue and merged. Who is that? That is what I am. God, that is what I am. Not even an atom is separate. The steady Rāma, the wave, in that Brahman I remain... You are that, You are that. You are that, You are that. You are bliss, God is not. You are that bliss, in that You, God is not at all, in that You. Victory to the True Guru Bhagavān. Victory to the eternal truth, to the mother, father, and Gurudev. Victory to Śrī Dīp Nārāyaṇa Bhagavān, victory to today's bliss. This is a small bhajan I am going to say, yes. "O mind, this body will ultimately merge into the earth. Why do you swell with pride, O mind? Why do you strut about? Why do you harbor this pride? Why do you harbor this arrogance? Why do you harbor this vanity? O body, you are perishable. Even great, great avatars have come, brother. The body is not to be abandoned; abandon everything that moves. And if we are proud of this body, this wealth, this pride, then it is useless. Therefore, whether it is a position or an ego, or whether it is an art or a knowledge, or money or wealth, whatever it is, the pride, the ego, it should not be done. Whether it is a position, money, wealth, family, any kind of pride, ego, it should not happen. Especially, we should not do it. Because you give clothes, you also give food. They say, 'Yes, there will be rotis, but in Erkalda, Veda, and then in Bogra,' which is not the case. Especially the saints should be careful. What do they say? 'Why do you act, O mind? Why do you strut about?' 'O mind, this body, will ultimately be drunk (by the earth).' 'Why do you act, O mind? Why do you strut about?' 'Why do you swell with pride, O mind? Why do you strut about?' 'For how many days has this body been? In this body is sweetness.' 'For how many days has it been for one's own stomach? You have worshipped so much, the mind has worshipped so much.' A day has come when the mind wanders off. What are you crying for, my heart? Why are you so distressed?... Then what do you say? 'In this world, there is no faith; when the time comes, one must bow.' 'In this world, there is no faith; when the time comes, one goes.' 'One does not know how to bow in life; before Yama, one bows.' 'One does not know how to bow in life; before Yama, one bows.' 'Before Yama, one bows.' 'In this world, there is no faith.' Whether it comes or not, because "For the sake of destroying the fear of being swallowed by the mouth of the serpent of Time..." In the Śrīmad Bhāgavatam scripture it is said: "Kāla Vyāla," the serpent in the form of Time. Kāla is the name of death, and Kāla is the name of time. So this Kāla Rūpī Vyāla, Vyāla means snake, a very big snake. We are all sitting in its mouth. It should be understood that when it closes its mouth and when our breath stops, we do not know anything. That’s why we don’t have to believe that time will stop. We don’t have to bow down in life; we have to bow down in front of God. Always remember that no one has ever bowed down in front of anyone in life. But either you have to bow down in front of God, or you have to bow down in front of Yama's messengers. Who bows down and who doesn’t? There is a verse: "Namanti phalino vṛkṣāḥ, namanti guṇino janāḥ. Śuṣka kāṣṭhāni mūrkhaś ca naiva namanti kadācana." And the lion also says, "One who has life bows. Stiffness is the identity of a corpse. From whom the vital breath has departed, he becomes stiff, he becomes rigid. One who has life, he bows." "Namanti" is a tree bearing fruits. The tree which has more fruits, where there are more fruits in the tree, that is a tree of fruits. "Namanti" is a person of qualities. Where there is a person of qualities, that is a tree of fruits. For this, "In this world there is no faith; when the time comes, one must bow." "One does not know how to bow in life; before Yama, one bows." One step has been taken, what do you know about taking steps? Why do you swell with pride, O mind? Why do you strut about? This body of clay will ultimately be drunk... ...I know the great fire of Māyā; it ensnares with the three guṇas. It ensnares with the three guṇas. I know the great fire, I know the great fire. It ensnares with the three guṇas, the three guṇas, the great fire I know. The great fire I know is Keśava's lotus. Keśava's lotus, Śiva's abode. Bhavānī, Keśava's lotus, Śiva's Yoginī. One becomes a Yogi, a Yoginī, a king. In the home, Rāma. One becomes a great Yoginī. Victory to the Great Lady, devotion has not happened... Brahmā, devotion has not happened... Victory to the Great Lady... Dīp Nārāyaṇa Bhagavān is forgotten. Dīp Nārāyaṇa Bhagavān is forgotten. Viśvanāthjī Mahārāj, the Guru's lotus feet are worshipped... And the Chāvda people worship Śiva Brahmacārī and Śāradā. They also praise the Guru's body. Who is greater than Śrī Rāmakṛṣṇa? So they also did, Gurujī... The Chāvda people, the queen Rānī, they also... The Guru's body, etc. Having met the complete Guru in Tirodhāna, afterwards, give up the world. And, O mind, reside at the Guru's feet. Having met the complete Guru... Having met the complete Guru in Tirodhāna. Give up the world, O mind, reside in the Guru's shelter. O mind, reside in the Guru's shelter. For, the five elements are your body, take them off. The five elements are your body, take them off. Even the Guru's power does not go, illusion does not flee, the knot of the navel remains. O mind, reside at the Guru's feet, reside at the Guru's feet. Having crossed the ocean, I met the complete Guru, I have given up the entire world. O mind, reside in the Guru's shelter, O mind, reside in the Guru's shelter. Some Guru instills faith, taking my honor. Some Guru instills faith, taking my honor. The whole world devours thug after thug, do not waste your life. O mind, be in the Guru's shelter. Having crossed, I met the complete Guru, having given up the world, O mind, be in the Guru's shelter. O Guruprakhaṇḍī, I will tell you the truth, listen to me... The bird teaches how to fly, the Guru does the taking. He accepted, you accept the Guru's shelter. You accept the Guru's shelter. Having crossed, I met the complete Guru. Having given up the entire world, O mind, take shelter. Song, mind, wealth, all are the Guru's. Offering words, all are the Guru's. Song, mind, wealth, all are the Guru's. Offering words, all are the Guru's. The True Guru asks for my head. I offer it, cutting and giving. O mind, you reside in the Guru's shelter. Sat Chit Ānand, the Indescribable, merged. Write me in the ocean of Rāma. Rāma's ocean, the chosen one wrote. My own self gave coolness. O mind, you reside in the Guru's shelter. Having crossed, I met the complete Guru, having given up the world. O mind, you reside in the Guru's shelter. ... Maan Singh, in this world, then, drinking buttermilk is easy for all, but drinking ghee is rare, where the true form of peace remains. Drinking buttermilk is easy, drinking buttermilk is easy, and drinking the vital breath as ghee is not possible. And if one drinks, deficiency arises, and one cannot drink peace afterwards. And all charity is charity, and all charity is charity. But the charity of knowledge is the true charity, for other knowledge is all knowledge. After that, Brahmā, Jñāna, and Sūrya, on whom are my brothers and sisters? On whom are my brothers and sisters? After that, Dhyāna, Bhāna, Ghaṭ, Yoga, Sādhu... Gungā Sādhu, brother, know the Āgama. First, break the twenty-five, break the world's chariot... Hope, thirst, evil intellect, break them. Parabrahma, Sūrya, I play, I know the Āgama, Gungā. Hope is washed away, I know the Āgama, Gungā. On whom my true Guru is, on whom my true Guru is, the meditator becomes united, the Sādhu knows the Āgama. The Sādhu is a gondola, God knows. Parabrahma is pervasive in the ocean, not full, not full. Parabrahma is pervasive in the ocean, not full, not full. Not even the Sādhu is full. The difference is water, the boatman knows the difference, not bound, not much. On whom my companionship with the Guru happened. The meditator becomes united, the Sādhu knows the Āgama. Knowing the Āgama, action and ritual. They do not affect him thus. There is no attachment, there is no attachment. Your actions are not related to him. There is no attachment, there is no attachment. There is no attachment, there is no attachment. O Spotless, Stainless Swāmī. O Spotless, Stainless Swāmī. I do not sleep, I do not go to the sages. I do not know how to go, I do not know how to go. On whom my true Guru is, on whom my true Guru is. I do not know how to go, I do not know how to go. The Āgama comes, the Āgama is known, Gungā. There is a limit, beyond it, they tell, the word of knowledge is not... It happens, the word of knowledge is not, Maṅgal Gīrī speaks secretly. How will the Āgama and Nigama be, O Sādhu? The Sādhu knows the Āgama, brother Gungā. On whom my brother, companionship with the Guru happened. Where the union happens, there is companionship. He knows the Āgama, he knows, Gungā, there is companionship. He knows the Āgama. Victory to Pālī Satguru Dev Mahārāj. Victory to Pālī Dīp Nārāyaṇa Bhagavān. Victory to Pālī Mesā Najīm Mahārāj. Jaina Chenā, Rāma plays. The king, Brahmā, saints fight, O Gurū, with the army, in which body... See inside. Lakṣmaṇagiri Gurū, by the grace of God, open the door of liberation. By the grace of God, open the door of liberation. By the grace of God, open the door of liberation. Give the spectacles, let the father see. Give the spectacles, let the father see. Victory to the Innocent True Gurujī Mahārāj. Blissful Rāma, ocean of bliss, I have crossed. Now the ship of Samādhi, Jiyārāmjī, floats on water. The pearl-like one is born, the pearl-like one is born. I am Hari, I am Indra, I am Gaja, I am Vajra, I am Bhananātha. I am Bālaka, I am Chaudhīsā, I am Saje, I am Māra, I am Kidikya, I am Chandana. I am Bhīṣma, I am Śukra, I am Sukhasāgara, I am Baryār, I am Bhajiṣa. I am Samādhi, I am Kiṣa, I am Satguru, I am Satya, I am Bhañja, I am Karibopara. Weighing the mind, weighing the mind, weighing, the jungle-wanderer. Today in the gathering, all are gathered in the gathering, the gathering of people's minds. Gods are gathered, divine people are gathered, where do they go? All are gathered in Sundara's pure gathering, so the saints' assembly is rare, brother. Where is my brother? Where is my brother? Searching for the handkerchief. O forgetful one, give charity, give charity. Give charity, give charity. God’s grace, God’s grace... God’s grace, God’s grace, God’s grace. Yeah. Hello. ... Thank you for watching. God bless you. My Guru has told me the story of my Guru, the great Guru, the great... Guru. He made me hear the word in the hut, making an Agrahant. In the net of worldly existence, with proper action, with Kṛṣṇa. My head is blessed, in the Pir's home, with the Pir, properly. Now the days pass, moments pass, days pass. I am a sacrifice to the True Guru. I am a sacrifice to the True Guru. The True Guru cut... became Sunetap, Masuke Yubu. Evil intellect went away, O mine, became Sunetap, Masuke Yubu. Don’t go away, O my beloved. Don’t go away, O my beloved. My heart is filled with grief. My heart is filled with grief. The path of life is like a car. The path of life is like a car. The True Guru has sacrificed. The True Guru has sacrificed. The saints have sacrificed. "The servant cut himself, attaining his own goal, averting all calamities, O Māyā, explaining the mystery of Brahman." I took it in sleep, O contemplative one. Māyā, explaining the mystery of Brahman. I took it in sleep, O contemplative one. I took it in sleep, O contemplative one. Reyubari. Kanki chāv Dādu tāle, offer the head. Knowing, knowing, holding the feet, for the sake of meeting Rāma. If you are a true servant, keep the company of saints. Rāma is with them. My consciousness is imbued with the Beloved. Do not delay, show me your form, my Beloved... Without the sight, the eyes yearn, O Beloved, in separation. I, the saint, remain night and day, without a boat, O separated one. My eyes are yearning... my eyes are yearning. The chariot is dark now, O delayed one, show me your form, my Beloved, do not delay. This whole world is yours, O Beloved, this whole world is yours. Show me your form, my Beloved, do not delay. Thank you for watching. Beloved, this whole world is yours. Beloved, show this whole world. My form, Beloved, do not delay. Made into a female ascetic's hut. Made into a female ascetic's hut. God bless you. Thank you for watching. Show me your truth, do not delay. Say victory to the True Guru's lineage. Victory to the eternal truth. The Brenī cries night and day, the mind is pierced. Dādu Yāvasāra has left, the Beloved is not found. Knowing, giving a direct message, listen, O Beloved, to my plea. As without water the fish throb, remaining day and night. The Brenī, rising, falling on the ground, thirsting for the sight. Quickly meeting, having come, renect the mortal body. Papayyā, drink, drink, O speech, O mind. If anyone listens to the Brenī, O Papayyā. If anyone listens to the Brenī, O Papayyā. On that Papayyā's plate, I will die. On that Papayyā, drink, drink, O speech, O mind. I will cut Hari's beak, O Papayyā. On Papayyā, black salt. I will cut the fish, on Papayyā, black salt. My drink is my Beloved's, my drink is my Beloved's. Papayyā, what will you do, O mind? Papayyā. Thank you for watching. If I meet, my inner being will die. If I meet, O being, O speech, O mind. This, someone listens to the Brenī, O Papayyā. This, someone listens to the Brenī, O Papayyā. This, your plate, give, O Papayyā. This, your plate, give, O Papayyā. O being, O speech, O mind. Say victory to the True Guru's lineage. Victory to Śrī Dīp Nārāyaṇa Bhagavān. Victory to Śrī Mādhava Kṛṣṇa Bhagavān. Victory to Gopī Āśram. Take refuge in the Name of Rāma. Rāma's grace is strong; without Rāma, nothing is given. In this world, there is only companionship. In this world, there is only attachment to the Guru's feet. I am attached to the Guru's feet, to the sight of the Lord. Attachment to the Guru's feet, to the Guru's feet, chant, chant. Now the ocean has dried up. There is no hope of the Great Soul. There is no hope of the Great Soul. Thank you for watching. Victory to Māyā Lāl. Victory to Śrī Mādhavānanda Purījī Mahārāj.
