Be happy and feel oneness

The human mind creates divisions like the "new year," while the earth and nature remain one. We walk upon a single earth, yet our thoughts create separation, countries, and conflict. We are one human race, beyond color or creed. Spiritual teachings speak of oneness, but even seekers fight over labels. The conflict is in the mind, not the soul. We must become "one in all and all in one." Every day can be a new beginning. Look beyond the surface waves of life to the still depth within. True peace is found in that inner unity.

"Where is the new year? The sun, moon, and clouds are the same."

"We should make everyone happy. You have to work—cook or don't cook—but do not make others angry."

Filming location: Jadan, Rajasthan, India

Śaraṇāparāyaṇam. Oṁ namo śrī prabhudīpānārāyaṇa. Oṁ namo śrī prabhudīpānārāyaṇa. Haṁsabodhas prabhu śaraṇa parāyaṇam. Haṁsabodhas prabhu śaraṇa parāyaṇam. Oṁ mo śrī prabhudī nāro śrī prabhudī. Amma, śabdas prabhu śaraṇa parāyaṇam. Amma, śabdas prabhu śrīpādipanārāya, śrīpādipanārāya. Śrī Dīpa Nārāyaṇa Bhagavān kī jai. Devadhī Deva Devapuruṣa Mahādeva kī jai. We are all happy. We are always happy, but sometimes we create a little disturbance again. We are happy, but that happiness lasts the whole year. Throughout the year, with all our thinking and doing, suddenly we humans—it is only humans—we create something: a "new year." Where is the new year? The sun, moon, and clouds are the same. Yet humans try to make something again, to say, "I am new." Different countries and religions have different dates and customs. What is that? Still, we create this occasion once more. We are on the earth; we are all on the earth. The earth is always there. We walk upon it with our two legs. Wherever we go, the earth is only one. Yet we humans are always trying: where to go, what to do, what to attain? Coming, going, returning. I was in those countries, I was swimming, etc. Our steps take us across the globe as if we are a football rolling upon it. One day it will come that we are completely one. When that oneness is realized, there is nowhere to say "this" or "that." There is no here or there, you or me. These are all mental constructs. We are not bad; we are good. We should be good to everyone in this way. We should all be very happy, joyful, and good for everyone. Because we are human, and humans possess great knowledge. If we are good and loyal and everything, then we should be only one. We are human. It does not matter which country, or whether one is black, white, or red. We are one human race. We ourselves are in our own countries. We want everyone to be good for our countries and for others as well. But even in our own villages, we are fighting again. Fighting for what? Consider a bird in flight; it does not do such things. This is why many spiritual people, many yogīs, are also contemplating this. They say, "I am in oneness." But even there, many are fighting each other—Hindus, Muslims, Christians, and all others. That is the problem. Perhaps we have not realized, as humans, how to become one. I am not speaking only of myself; I am also included. Something is there. You have been sitting here for so many years, and each one of you has some difference within. That means you have not reconciled the good and the anguish within. It means you do not know oneness. This is a problem. Therefore, Gurujī said we have to become "one in all and all in one." What does it mean? We should make everyone happy. You have to work—cook or don't cook—but do not make others angry. That is it. This conflict is in the mind, not in your soul inside. This is a big problem, a bigger problem for humans. All creatures are killed by this and that work. But humans are also killing. It is not good that humans kill humans; that is not right. Regarding this new year: this year, this date was established by the Christians—or rather, by the British and Europeans—and then we said, "Okay, we will designate one day." They did it in one day. Now, no matter how it is, it is a cycle of 12 years. We will be there. But who are we? We Indians, Hindus, have so many spiritual days: Diwali, beautiful festivals, and many others. Every month and every day, we try to place in our hearts that we are happy and doing good. Pūjā means we are thinking of God. We receive from God; we also belong to God. That is why many people do not want God at all. Many, you know, they do not. But people can be very good, working and helping others human to human, yet they do not accept any concept of God. In all this, we should bring ourselves within ourselves. Respect others; help others to help them become one. Then we progress. Every country and every religion has books, lectures, and teachings. Others have them, and so do we. This is very great. They say it must come inside the human. If we have these long years with many events, we will look and see. Then, at least, we become peaceful through what we have and what we are reading. This is peace. Now, in this year we have designated, it is also like this. In India, they made the numbers differently. You know what our "one" was? Then one, and then two. Rāmaṇa means because of the light, this and that. In India, I do not know which Ṛṣi it was, they made the zero. Zero is nothing and everything. So: one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine. Only nine, and then it comes to zero. Then we count from zero again: 10, 20, 30. Those ṛṣis gave this to us. Others also had good systems: one goat, two goats, three goats. But how did the ṛṣis devise it like this? Anyway, we should be very happy. Every day we can say, "New Year." Every day is a new year; every day is a new day. But what is gone is gone. So be happy. Yes, we are always doing it. We become a little angry, or this and that. This is the surface. What is the surface like? Like an ocean. In the ocean, how many waves come up and down? Sometimes it is very nice. But when we dive deep into the ocean, there is no movement, no moments. On the ocean's surface, people are dying. If you go and do not know how to return, you may go only two or three meters down. When people take equipment and go down, some die because something happens suddenly. But then we see: how many creatures are there? How many? We can also go with them like this. They have long and vast lives and are well in the ocean. Others of us are on land. It is always there, but difference is good. Let us strive to see oneness—on the earth, in the ocean, and in the air. This year, according to this calendar, we wish all the best, and we will count. This is a counting, again a counting: 200, 22, 22. Two, two... and now do not count this. We are looking at the third, okay? It will already be the third. This is rolling, rolling, by rolling. But the earth is there. Our car wheel rolls. Where? On the earth. Everything is there, but we are trying to go. Yet again, we are standing where? On the earth. We start with the earth, roll on the earth, and stop there. The earth is already the same. So, let us be happy, joyful, and have a good life. Please do not think of others, "This one is not good, why is he like that?" One should not do these things. Then all will be good. Tomorrow we have nice programs. All of you know I am going to Europe, and many others are going here and there. Tomorrow we are going to Mahāprabhujī, Holī Gurujī, Madhvanājī, Gurudev's birthplace, and Nepal. We will go and offer prayers at Mahāprabhujī's, and then I will go further as long as God gives me strength. Hari Om, thank you.
