Purify yourself inside and out

The Satguru Chalīsā offers pure words that purify the heart and world. These verses cleanse impurities from thought, word, and deed. Purification is a simple, universal process. The dress on our body gets that energy’s negativity cleaned. Then we go to the bathroom, we take water, sometimes we take some soap. Why? Because on our skin, through the air and the dust—and you know that everything nowadays in big cities, when there are so many cars and so much air—it is just polluted from our body and our dress. Even when we inhale and exhale through our nostrils, when we come there we clean in the morning. We have this in the loṭā, a little loṭā, and inside the water we are doing warm water and a little salt inside. With this loṭā, you know what we are doing: we do neti. Neti means in the net, in the nose, and water, cleaning this. We take it in the morning or evening? One should not do it in the evening because when we take this nauli, for four or five hours we should not sleep, because again we have to bring out this water which we have done. Therefore, yogīs said in the morning when we come, we clean our nostrils. This purity in the nostrils is for that which is going into our lungs. In our lungs, we don’t know how it is, but it is how this dust of the dead goes into the lungs, and that’s why there are many, many diseases that come through the lungs. These teeth are going inside with the brush, and it is coming out good. But slowly, slowly, you know, how many years, you know how many teeth remain in our body? How quickly we are going to the doctor. We are getting this, and then out, and then one tooth is moving. Many, many things. So, at that time, what we were doing? Once more again, our people came from India, and they all said, "Do this with our finger and finger," and then a little—this is something about powder, pulver, something like that. Do it, somebody, now. After doing one year, two years, three years, you have no problem in your teeth. But we have now, everything we are doing, but the problem is always like this. So we were brushing, but brushing, we should not brush inside the mouth. So, try to do yourself with a little powder or something, what we have. The doctor said to do it like this, but we can’t do it like that. And that is the problem. Many people are there doing like this. Yeah, really, everywhere. And then we have a problem with this. So, we are yogīs and we will have little money. It’s also very good. So, take this brush, finger fresh. Or, if you want to have a brush like this, once a month, once a month, or this. But rest, you clean, clean. If you said, "Yeah, no, no, we are very good, and we look like this," but after some years, how will it come? That is, someone who is doing okay, but all, all the problems that the dentist has inside. So this is also our water in the nostrils. Do it only in the morning time. And when we are sleeping also, we don’t know, but we are only inhaling. Very nicely we are inhaling, exhaling, inhaling. And in the morning when we get up, what we see in the dust in the nostril? This plaster is from our neem, babul, neem, yeah, and something else, some other things. There are many things, many, many things. So, in that way, what we are saying is that in the satsaṅg, we are coming as yogīs, and you are all yogīs. Not only we and I, but all are like this. Even the animals, they are cleaning themselves. You know your cat, when she is, from time to time, pulling out of the mouth. Śrī Śrī... So, how do we bring about that purification? And from this, these purities, mental purities, mentalities—meaning our good, and maybe some are not good words. Good words, and this word, not good words, is impurities. And when you are very pure and speaking very nicely, and smelling and smiling and this and that, if you are otherwise, I am there and I say, "Hmm, like this," you see, then we are taking impurities in our mind, in their mind. Not the mind of the brain, but what we are. This is more negative, very much. So, that is very difficult to clean again. So it is also from the toes to the heart. And we know that when disease is happening, it is it. Now, some have problems in the throat, or in the lungs, or in the stomach, or other parts of the body. Why is it coming? Where is it different? There are many times when each husband and wife have problems. When they are very good to each other, husband and wife, they are very good. They are children also, and they are very good. Then they do not have this. But when they are married or something, okay for a while, and then bringing tension for the tensions. And some tensions are perhaps in the head, some in the swallowings. This is also impure; the words are in the space everywhere, and we are inhaling them when we are walking and doing things. That’s why yoga, and yoga is the best. Yogas and yoga, we call ourselves, we have our yoga centers everywhere, yoga in daily life. Yoga in daily life, so, Haṭha Yoga. Haṭha Yoga is of two kinds. And what is Haṭha Yoga? It is about what we are eating, and this and that. And the second is the tension, and so, many problems and many things. Yes, many, many good. Some people are having problems, but mostly husband and wife, they are very good. The children are also very good, and they are very nice.
