Spirituality in the heart

Our heart is a well of giving that must flow to remain pure. We are born from and abide within a vast spiritual ocean. Knowing "I am" and feeling God within, we are here not to sit idly but to help others. Helping flows from the heart, generating more power, peace, and love. Giving enlarges the heart; withholding causes stagnation. Just as a well gives fresh water the more it is drawn, the heart yields more peace and harmony through giving. We must not refuse to give, for in truth, you are everything. Our inner energy must be kept alive by giving what we like. Even when the body perishes, the heart becomes a vast space. We practice to attain this greatness, giving to all beings. This heart-based spirituality surpasses all books. We are ultimately one.

"When we help one another, it comes from our heart: more power, more peace, more love, more of everything."

"As much as is drawn, so much flows... when we draw water, then clean, fresh, very nice water flows out again and again."

It is this way for all of us. When we were born, we came from and entered into the ocean, and we are all there within it. What we desire, we desire greatly, and not for ourselves alone. Those who know—who feel “I am,” who feel God within the heart—understand this. We abide in this truth. Yet we are not merely sitting by this lake; we are here to help others. We should help each other very much. Thus it is said we are coming, and there are those who will bring us to the other shore. We are all helping each other. When we help one another, it comes from our heart: more power, more peace, more love, more of everything. Whenever we do good, we give from our heart. In giving, our heart becomes bigger and better. Do not say, “I ask of you, give this or that.” No. We simply give. It flows naturally. Consider how we dig into the earth and water springs forth. How much water comes, flowing and flowing… For how many years has this well existed? From this well, the water comes. As much as is drawn, so much flows. It is said the water is there. If water does not move upward and simply remains, it stagnates a little; things collect, animals come. But when we draw water, then clean, fresh, very nice water flows out again and again. So it is with our heart. When we give, our heart is there, yielding more and more: more peace, more harmony, more understanding for everyone. This is very important. If we do not give, the water remains stagnant, and many things—animals, debris—fall into it. If I think, “I do not like this; I will not participate,” then we diminish ourselves within that flow. And yet, in truth, you are everything. For example, when we give someone food. When you eat, it is always said in the old stories—stories I may have forgotten—that long ago, when Mātājī Kātharīnā was present, the Holy Gurujī taught this: if they come, we will give more water. We will give more. It will become more and more. Yes. And we will all have enough, so let anyone come again. Yes, please come. Take one more. That one more. Mansa Devī comes, and she gives all this. Just yesterday, or two days ago, so much was made. I asked, “What have you done?” She was doing. She said it is like this. Our people, many of them. So the heart is like this. We must not say, “No, do not give a little; do not give this or that.” That means our heart retreats. Our body will go one day. Yes, the body will go. But you, the heart inside you, will become like a vast space—not within the earth, but within the sky, the entire sky. There you are every time, everywhere. So when we see someone die, of course everyone feels sorrow. But it is said when we die… do not worry, I am with you. Before, I was beside you, near you, but now I am in your heart completely. In this way, when we practice our Sanātana Dharma, when all our bhaktas and all our yogas engage—we are not merely making our body do something—we arrive at something very great. We try to attain more and more, to keep the inner energy alive within us. Because if I like this, I give this. And if I do not like someone, then you constrict that energy; it becomes squashed. Of course, do not tell someone, “No, I will not give you this.” We only say no to what we cannot give. We can give to all animals, to every being, to everything. This is the spirituality in the heart, and it carries us far, far away. We have many books. In every book, many things are written, very good things. But more important is what comes from our heart. Yes. So this is the day. And the Himalayas… my brother, he was here yesterday and now is gone. He has gone to the Himalayas. Yes, he went already, for he moves very quickly. I think he is smiling. He said, “Swāmījī, that was my horse. It was like this, but now I can travel very nicely.” Yes, you too, my dear. Anything may happen to you and to me, but we are one. Please be one with us—with our Mahāprabhujī, our Holī Gurujī, Devpurījī, Alakpurījī, and all of you. I am always… I said you are first. Like this. One day, Holy Gurujī said, “You see a mother with a little child in her lap. The mother is hungry, and the child is hungry, and there is only a little food.” The mother, though very hungry, first gives to the child. That is the mother’s heart. Then the great father comes and brings more. You know, a few days ago we had that day, we performed pūjā. What was it? Śivarātri. On Śivarātri, how that man stood there by the tree, for animals come more to a den, sitting… it was very nice. Then Śivajī came, Śiva came. And so Śiva will come. This Śiva is in our heart, everything inside and out. Now it is coming. There is also something about Rāvaṇa, concerning the day after tomorrow, or this holy day when they burn this and that. But I said we will not burn; it is just that. And he, too, was the greatest of the great, my God—but only in one aspect. The point was this: that which is of everything ultimately destroys him. That is all. Yes, we have this: our home, our house, our everything. And we come. How will we be? Thank you. Today is a day for this, which I wanted to tell you. Tomorrow, I am going to India, and then somewhere else. May I come quickly? May I come? I will come, but I am with you. I am you. That is what I told you, as it is. So, thank you, everybody. I wish you… One final point: our heart and their arm, our heart and their… What are we hugging? Yes, our hugging. That is it. Why do we hug? Because it is from our heart; because taking care means from the heart. That is that. Of course, we all have many things. Sometimes we are angry, or a little angry. This happens. But if someone is angry, it does not mean they will never be otherwise. No, no. Suddenly, the other may refuse. When we express anger outwardly, it is not good. It is drawn out and enters the very heart of our heart. Yes, my dears, I think I cannot tell you more today because of… today, his father and we did this. Thank you. Ārio. Dīpa Nārāyaṇa Bhagavān. Deva Puruṣa Mahādeva. Madhvanānjī Bhagavān. Madhvanānjī Bhagavān. Alaka Puruṣa Mahādeva. Satya Sanātana Dharma, Satya Sanātana Dharma. Satya—Satya means the truth. We should all let it reside in the heart. All, all business with us. Adios.
