Satsang at Raumati ashram (3/4)

The eternal Sanātana Dharma is the root of all religions and sciences, believing in one universal, formless God called Brahman. This cosmic consciousness and the individual consciousness are ultimately one. The universe emanated from a divine will through the sacred sound Aum. The true Self is immortal and unchanging like space, while the soul is a transient entity bound by karma and negative qualities. Human consciousness has three levels: unconscious, subconscious, and conscious. These are purified through spiritual practice, leading to the realization of oneness. All spiritual traditions are respected paths to the same truth, like different foods at one table. Cultivate the seed of peace within by abandoning negativity and embracing universal love.

"One is the reality; there is only one truth."

"Sanātana Dharma is the origin of all the dharma. That is the universal dharma."

Filming location: Raumati Beach, New Zealand

Part 1: An Evening of Welcome and Wisdom in Kapiti We begin this program with a prayer to the unbroken lineage of Gurus. This lineage was initiated by Śiva himself, and the grace that flowed through him was sustained in the middle period by Ādi Śaṅkarācārya. All the grace that has flowed through every Guru in that lineage now resides with our present Guru. To this sacred lineage of Gurus, we offer our salutations. We are in beautiful Kapiti, a picturesque, relaxed beach town about 70 kilometers north of Wellington. We have a good number of people here who practice yoga and have received mantra from Swāmījī. We also have a beautiful group of girls representing the Māori community who will be presenting something very nice. The evening’s program will start with Māori culture, followed by a satsaṅg with Swāmījī, and conclude with a light vegetarian meal—or perhaps not so light! Welcome, everyone. This gathering is being transmitted via webcast to 185 countries. Namaste. Please, come and introduce a little. [Māori Welcome and Performance] The ancient culture of the Māori and this yoga and life center... Kia ora tātou, my name is Matiu Te Huki. It is my privilege and honour to stand on behalf of the mana whenua, the people of this land of Aotearoa, to represent Māori culture today, to welcome Swāmījī on behalf of our people who have been in this country, and on behalf of all peoples who now live here together. We are a very proud culture, and we are very happy that our culture can now extend beyond these waters. It is wonderful that we can be connected to you, our brothers and sisters around the world, right now. We are about to do a small performance with some performers from Ranmachi South School. They are all very good-looking, and there are a couple of boys at the back there with our pretty girls. We will do two songs. The first song is called "E Te Iwi," a song of greeting that acknowledges all people, saying we come together with love. It is a welcome song. Then we will do a pūkana with poi. You will see the poi swinging around. In the past, they were used by warriors to make their hands and wrists supple for fighting, but now they are used to help tell stories. The song is about listening to the voices of our ancestors and staying in touch with them. Nore ra tena koutou, tena koutou, tena rā tātou katoa. [Reflections on Grace and the Guru] Could we open the windows? It is getting very hot. This side, this side. Will you stay for the program? Very good. Next, yes, take the mic. I would also like to very briefly welcome all Satsaṅgīs, as we all wait very much for Swāmījī’s speech. I just remembered a beautiful moment from the Yoga Vāsiṣṭha, an ancient scripture. Rāma asks his master Vasiṣṭha, "Please tell me, what is the way? How can a human reach liberation? How can a human realize God?" His master Vasiṣṭha tells him, "You can imagine spiritual development as one very big circle. One fourth of the circle is your own spiritual effort. The second fourth is study and scripture. But the entire remaining half of the circle," he says, "is Guru Kṛpā, Guru Bhāṭīā—the grace of the Self-Realized Master and the blessing of receiving their teachings." This is just a little thing, but very often when we are all so happy to be with Swāmījī, I remember this. The truth is, when you look at anything that has ever inspired us in life, no matter from which spiritual tradition or part of the world, it always comes from some great heart who realized God and had so much compassion that they did not want to keep this knowledge for themselves but wished to share it with people. I wanted to say briefly that the greatest blessing in human life is to meet a Self-Realized Master and to receive these teachings. Nothing more can serve as such an inspiration for our own practice. Pranām, Swāmījī. We are all very happy you have such a busy schedule, and we want to thank you again. Thank you. We can close this window again. [A Sanskrit verse is chanted]: Aukhadam kevalam jñānam uratim dvandatitam gagan sadṛśam tasmāsyādi lakṣam ekam nityam vimalāchalam sarvaddhi sākṣibhūtam bhavatitam triguṇarahitam. Satguru tām namām yam. Om śānti śānti... rabhavatu. [Swāmījī's Satsaṅg] Salutation to the cosmic light, Lord of our hearts, omniscient and omnipresent. In his divine presence, good evening, dear brothers and sisters. With respect to the culture of the Māori, the owners of this land, and dear brothers and sisters from different parts of the world—the future of mankind, the future of our planet, and the culture of tomorrow—our juniors, the children, were performing a very nice, beautiful, modern, modified Māori dance. Yes, there was a touch of modern dance inside. It is good. A mix is always good, so very nice, thank you. Especially when I come to this part of the world, to this coast near Kapiti, I enjoy very good weather, very good nature, and very good people. The spot where we are sitting, this house or building, has always been a spiritual center. Before, it was a church; now it has become a Yoga in Daily Life Center. It became a Vedic cultural center. It became a place of Sanātana Dharma. Sanātana Dharma is known as the eternal religion. It is the root of all religions, all knowledges, all sciences, all spiritual mantras and ceremonies. Many of you know the word Sanātana, and many do not know what it means. What do I mean by 'eternal religion'? I would like to explain. Sanātana Dharma believes in one universal God. There is only one. It has many names given by people according to their language, culture, thinking, and feelings. That universal one we call in the Sanskrit language Brahman—the God which has no form. You cannot touch, smell, see, or hold it, but it is ever and ever with you, omniscient and omnipresent. That means the individual consciousness and the cosmic consciousness. There are two in this universe, and this universe is known as an endless universe: Ananta Brahmāṇḍa, the phenomenon of Brahman, which is called Brahmāṇḍa. The space is like the body of the mother. That cosmic consciousness is known as Hiraṇya Garbha, the golden embryo, the golden egg. You may know that in Christianity, the period of April-May is called Easter, which specially emphasizes the egg. From where does this come? That egg is what the Vedas have spoken of since Satyuga, millions of years ago: Hiraṇya Garbha, the golden embryo. Now, space and consciousness: there is no empty space at all. It is omniscient, omnipresent. There is only one; there is no two. Within that consciousness, there is a seed, a life, an egg, which has inside the soul, the life, the seed. Similarly, at the core or central point of that endless cosmic consciousness, there is one seed known as divine will: Icchā Śakti. Śakti means energy; Icchā means willpower. The space and the embryo, the egg or the consciousness, are perfectly balanced. That balancing principle is known as yoga. Not the exercises you are doing—stretching, relaxing, postures, sitting, standing on the head or shoulders. These are exercises, not yoga. They may be a way to yoga, but yoga is that which balances, harmonizes, and unites space and consciousness. That consciousness is called Sanātana. Sanātana means everlasting, eternal, immortal—that which cannot be destroyed by any weapons or elements, and which death cannot take away. This everlasting, immortal, cosmic consciousness is Sanātana. That means the Self. Now, this tendency, like a seed inside, is one vṛtti, or a thought—we can say thought, we can say desire, but it has no desires. There are no words to explain it. So it is said: "Eko’haṁ bahusyāmi"—I am one. In the endless universe, only one. "Eko brahma dvitīya nāsti"—One is the reality; there is only one truth. So, "I am one, and now I will multiply myself. I will manifest myself." That manifestation of cosmic consciousness began from that center point of the universe, awoke as a resonance, a sound, which is declared in yoga, in Sanātana Dharma, in Hinduism, as Aum. That Aum is what in Christianity they say as "Amen"—A-U-M. Through this resonance, billions of planets, stars, and solar systems were created. We are one stream or wave of that resonance. Each individual is part of that cosmic Self—not the body, not the mind, not emotion, not intellect, not memory, and not the soul, but the Self. The soul is an individual. The soul is a victim of destiny. The soul is born. The soul leaves this body. The soul goes to the astral world. It is the soul that goes to heaven or hell, or whatever you call it. But in heaven, in hell, and everywhere beyond, there is oneness, and that is the ātmā, the Self. That Self is like space. That is Brahman. You can try to shoot a bullet into the sky and then look with a magnifying glass. Do you see holes somewhere in the space? Or a crack in the space? No, you cannot destroy space. Similarly, you are immortal, one. You are immortal. You were never born, and you will never die. You have existed forever, and you will. But the soul is a transit. The soul is those vibrations of desires, with day-by-day complications growing—feelings, attachment, ignorance, selfishness, greed, anger, hate, jealousy. This creates negative energy, and the individual soul is caught in it. If we can purify ourselves, become free from these negative qualities—ego, hate, jealousy, desire, and many other things—you will know that you are immortal. As long as you do not have this knowledge of ātma-jñāna, you will have fear. You will be scared because you feel guilty. Whoever is not guilty is not afraid. So, it is very simple to know if you are self-realized or not. I must not judge you and give you a certificate to carry home and frame: "Declared by Viśwa Guru Mahāmaṇḍaleśwar Paramahaṁsāmī Maheśwarānanda of Yoga in Daily Life, that Mr. So-and-so is from today on self-realized," for you to hang. Everybody will say, "Oh, you are self-realized." It is not like that. We are saying very nicely now that you are immortal. You will never die. Don’t be scared. And you will all think, "Yeah, that is nice. We are relaxed." But suppose through this window, and the second, third, fourth, or fifth window, a wild tiger jumps in. What will happen to the self-realized one? Will you still peacefully sit and listen to Swāmījī? And what will Swāmījī do? Will he continuously speak in a low, peaceful voice? So theory and practice are different. Tons of theory is nothing compared to a gram of practice. So, that divine consciousness, cosmic consciousness, with which the individual is traveling, is wrapped in layers. We have three levels of consciousness: unconscious, subconscious, and conscious. The unconscious is where all our karmas, our deeds, or what you call destiny, is stored from many, many past lives. All is stored. You have, like, a backpack. It doesn’t matter where you go in this universe after the death of the soul; you are carrying your own karma. There is no storeroom anywhere. God said, "Carry your own self with you." And Jesus said, "Do not carry with you anything." That’s it. It means: do not carry these heavy, burdened karmas. Become free from them. Leave everything away. Believe, trust that God will give you everything—if it is in your karma, in your destiny. And if not, then you will get nothing; that is destiny. The second level of consciousness is called the subconscious. There, all our karmas, experiences, impressions, feelings, and visions are stored. Subconsciousness begins from the first day, or minutes, or seconds of your life, when you are descending from the astral world, preparing to come into the physical world. That begins with Puruṣa and Prakṛti. Puruṣa is male, and Prakṛti is female. Puruṣa is consciousness, and Prakṛti is nature. These flowers cannot develop if there is no consciousness in them. And alone, consciousness can do nothing if there is no Prakṛti, no qualities. I think this is not a plastic flower, you see. We think it is only a flower, but in it is a life. In this flower is a consciousness—God consciousness, the same consciousness which you have. The same consciousness is in this flower. This flower is a life, not dead, and it took time to develop. Each petal of this flower is expressing its beauty, its karma, deeds, qualities, and so on. You are nothing other than this flower. The embryo in the mother’s body is like a flower. When the born embryo is expanding—the body, hands moving, legs moving—you open your palms and fingers, and these are the petals. Each limb of the body is like one petal. And this flower’s stem is connected to the mother earth. That is the navel of the mother and your navel, connecting and nourishing you. So this comes from the womb of Mother Earth, and you also come from the womb of your mother. So there is the same consciousness, and this flower has a destiny, too. What will happen to this flower? What a destiny that today it came onto this holy altar. What a destiny that this flower comes into my hands, and so many people around the world see it. This flower has become immortal. Yes, it will be on YouTube, and you can see it all the time. Is that not true? Yes. So this is life. So, from the day when everything is prepared in the cosmos and your soul is descending now, coming ceremonially—beautiful, welcome on this planet—you don’t remember. But I can tell you, I remember. I remember your coming, too. It was as if you were freed from prison, from loneliness, emptiness, but you did not know where you were going. I told a story yesterday, and I will tell you again. There were two souls wandering in the universe in empty space, twin souls. One told the other, "Brother, now we will enter into the mother’s body, and we will live there, and we will develop." The other said, "Otherwise, we are in the mother’s body? We are in the universe?" "No, no, there will be other things. There will be five elements, and there will be liquid and warmth, and we will become closed inside but feel comfortable." The other said, "You are crazy, schizophrenic. There is nothing like this. From where did you get this fantasy?" He said, "No, no, it is true." "Never. I don’t believe. Only fanatics say such things." Now it is prepared. The father and mother come together, and now your subconsciousness begins. In which condition was the mother? In which condition was the father? Which place was it? What kind of constellation was in the stars? What was the position of the moon? What was the position of the sun? Which position has the Earth? There are periods when Earth is sleeping, and there are periods when Earth is awakened. Certain people know when to put seeds in the ground so they will grow well and no bugs or other creatures can destroy that plant. So your subconsciousness begins from that time, and you begin to manifest in your mother’s body. Now, the twin brothers: one soul tells the other, "Now, dear my brother, see where you are!" He said, "Wow, it is beautiful. That is eternal life. I feel someone is touching us, but I can’t expand my hands. I want—" He said, "Oh, you have hands also?" He said, "Yes, look, my legs are developing, getting big, you know." This is a flower embryo, which in Indian mythology is said to come from the navel of Viṣṇu—a lotus flower emerges, and on top of the lotus, Brahmā is manifested. So Viṣṇu, where is he? He is residing in the ocean of nectar. So where is the embryo? In the liquid of the mother’s body, and there it is developing. The embryo that is developing, and the ātmā, the soul inside, that is Brahmā, the creator. That will become a creator, too. Now the twins said, "And you know, brother, after three months we will be born. We will come out of the mother’s body, and people will touch us and feel us, and we will see everything. And we will eat, we will drink milk through the mouth?" He said, "Are you crazy? All the time you tell me terrible things. We will drink and eat through the mouth? No, we take from the navel. We will not be born." He said, "Yes, we will be." "I don’t believe you." And then, "Yeah, yes, yes, yes." He said, "True, you told me." So this is the process of the subconsciousness. Part 2: The Unfoldment of Consciousness and the Spirit of Christmas All the dialogue you have with your mother during your time in the mother’s body, and the situation around the mother—where she is, in which house she is, and how your father is with her—that is very important. The special duty of the father is to be very gentle, very kind and happy, always supportive, and to give her comfort and everything. Then you will also be more spiritual and free from fear. That is called the dharma, the duty, the principle of the father. At that time you have a special, greater obligation. Not only when your wife or girlfriend becomes pregnant and you run away. She does not know how to work, where to work. She has no money, no electricity, no warm water. Unfortunately, in the world, many, many women, many mothers are very sad. There is no one who can dry her tears, and that is unfortunate. You see, in the animal world, the male or the father is there all the time, near the bird or near other animals. But this one animal, which is called the human, unfortunately nowadays does not care. And that is why in the world, love is lost. The trust, human to human, is lost. Our subconsciousness begins from the first day when your journey begins from the astral world to the physical world, and till now, this second, this past period, from that time till the present, it is subconscious, and that is called psychic. You know, sometimes doctors say, when a doctor does not understand your illness, then the doctor has a very good, now, world—developed, last sensory, psychic. It is psychological. But doctor, I have pain here. They make a diagnosis, they make an X-ray, they make an ultrasound or sonography. There is nothing, but you have pain. The doctor said there is nothing, but you have pain. Then the doctor will say, "Yes, I can understand you. You know, it is psychic." You should go to a psychiatric doctor or psychologist. Then you come at home and walk into your bathroom. I am psychic. Oh, God. Wife comes at home and says, "Darling, you look a little sad today." Yes, I am psychic. The doctor said I am psychic. What is a psychic? Nothing. But this is a kind of fear that Saul experienced; he was scared, it was unpleasant. Many terrible situations went through. So God protect us from negative environment and negative activities. So all that happens from that time to this minute is psychic. And that you can only purify through love. That love which is the love of all. Love to all creatures, not to a particular person. If you concentrate your love on one, again you are closed in a case, like a bird. That will cause you a lot of suffering. You want to expand your wings, but you cannot fly. So, universal love, love to every being. All are myself, and I am part of all. That is called universal love. And then there is a third level of consciousness; it is called conscious, awakened, now. Whatever we experience in this world through sound, through vision, through smell, through taste, and through touch. These are only five senses through which we can experience anything from the world and learn anything. So now, your conscious level means you should know where you should go and where you should not go. What you should speak, what you should eat, what you touch, what you smell, that will influence your entire being. So, unconscious, subconscious, and conscious: these are three levels. Through prayers, through meditation, through the practice of mantra, these three levels of consciousness will be purified. When it is purified, then another origin opens. And that is like now this flower is opening each petal. The unfoldment of each petal is the development of the free qualities, and you come to the higher consciousness. And finally, we realize our origin, that we are nothing but one, that cosmic consciousness. We are part of that one. And so God Kṛṣṇa tells Arjuna in the 15th chapter of the Bhagavad Gītā, "Mame vāso jīva loke," Jīva bhūta sanātana. Mame vāso jīva loke, I live in every creature. In everyone I live. All are my sanātana, my relatives. They are originated from me. So one, the cosmic consciousness, the cosmic self, the Brahman, and we all creatures, not only human, all. Our origin is that supreme one. The purpose of practicing meditation, the purpose of practicing mantra, the purpose of prayers and doing something good, all is one direction, and that is that we may one day become one with the Supreme. And that we learn in the satsaṅg. Today, this is a satsaṅg. It is said in Sanātana Dharma, let them believe what they believe. Your duty is to support them, that they become one with their belief, and they should not, or you should not, discriminate. Do not criticize other cultures, other religions, other countries. Feel that it is yours, and you are that. I feel, I will say this is my feeling, that we are sitting at the dining table. One likes to eat rice, another would like to eat spaghetti. A third would like to eat pizza, and a fourth would like to eat the Indian chapati. Why not? You are four sitting at the same dining table, and you order the food according to your choice, and you enjoy. No one is against you. Why are you eating spaghetti? Or no one tells you why you are eating now the Indian chapati. And you should not force, no. You all must eat pizza, or get out from here. You will never do this, so we are all sitting in the same boat. Let us go together. That is why it is called one in all and all in one. This is the beauty of spirituality, that every religion should respect each other. If every religion learns to respect each other, there will be no war and no terrorism, I can tell you. All that threatens us, everything of which we are afraid, scared, is only because we do not trust, and we discriminate, and we say, "It is mine, this is the best." We are right, my religion is the best, my culture is the best, and this is the problem in the world. We have to cultivate the peace within our heart. So one man told this story about Mahatma Gandhi: one king went to one swami or a saint and asked, "Can you explain to me exactly what is peace and how to realize peace?" The monk or Swami went into his hut, brought one seed grain, and gave it to him. This is peace. Go and put it in the ground, take care of it, and cultivate it. So he went home and said, "Well, the holy man gave me only this one seed, one wheat." And he said, "This is peace." They put it in the ground, and after two or three months, he got a handful. The next season, again he put it in his field, and he got a few kilos. And the third year, when he put in his few kilos, it became nearly one ton. And the fourth year, when he put the one ton, you know how much it was? And so, multiplying. So peace is one seed you should put in your heart, that from today on, I will cultivate and take care of this. It means I will not be jealous, I will not be selfish, I will not be angry, I will not have ego, I will not be greedy, and I will love all, I will respect all, I will tolerate everything, I will forgive everything, and I will work for peace. And then you will see this flower, which was closed, open your heart. And no one will be happier in this world than yourself. It will make your life comfortable, happy, healthy, and fearless. Then everyone will love you. Everyone would love you. When this flower came in your garden, oh, you said, "Now it is blossoming. Look, how beautiful. Oh, beautiful flower." All the times your eyes are there, though this flower had some thorns before. It has to go through the thorns, through all kinds of weather: cold, hot, hurricanes, and everything. But it became that beauty, and this beauty is you. That is the Sanātana Dharma. And so the Sanātana Dharma is the origin of all the dharma. That is the universal dharma. This flower only came to his destination, or she is? He or she? It is she. In German language, I think it is she. This came to this destination, experiencing so many difficulties, but finally managed to come here. And similarly, we all, we are at present mortal beings, and we have experienced many, many disappointments. We swallowed many bitter things, but God may help us. So it is that Sanātana which protected this, and it came to all these beautiful petals, and it reached its goal. So the unfoldment of the beautiful qualities from your consciousness, think the Sanātana Dharma, that will help you. So this satsaṅg: "sat" means the truth, and "saṅgha" means to be with. So go there always where there is spoken about love, God, spirituality, unity, brotherhood, service, compassion, mercy, and no discrimination between religion or culture or countries or nations, or whatever you call it. That will be the peace. And now is coming a beautiful time. It is the time of Christmas, yes. All are waiting for getting good presents. Christmas can make a happy marriage, or Christmas can break the marriage. So, boys, do not forget your wife on Christmas Day. Bring her something. And this is the day to forgive. As Jesus said, "Father, forgive them." They do not know what they are doing. So this is the day, if you love Jesus, if you believe in Jesus, if you understand Jesus, if you understand his teaching and his being, then you should also forgive. Prayer for forgiveness. You know, many, many marriages are broken through misunderstanding. What is a misunderstanding? You missed it. You did not understand under. You went sideward. If you are under this love and kindness, then there is no misunderstanding. So you missed it, so try to come under. It means in the same roof, same feelings, same things. So do not break the heart of your husband, or do not break the heart of your wife, and think of the beautiful children. For the sake of your children, you should work on Christmas Day. Say, "Now, my dear one, come on, let us hold our hands, and we promise in front of this divine tree, the Christmas tree, that our life becomes..." Again shining, lightning like this tree. This Christmas tree, what you call, we call the light tree, and this light tree was traditionally begun in India 10,000 years before. That one, God Rāma, came back home, so the people were happy. That time, there was no electricity, so they hung many, many oil lamps on the tree branches, and they put a lot of fruits, hung on the different trees, and put under the trees some water and some sweets. And something eating, because people came to see God Rāma, that he came back after 14 years from the forest. So everyone found something, toys for children, because mothers were coming with the little babies. So, that is a tree we call Dīvālī. Diwali means the lamps, the flames. And so, that tree we call also now the Christmas tree. It is united. It is united, but we do not understand. We do not understand. So we shall harmonize. Christmas Day, it is a day of love. Jesus was the incarnation of love. Now, love means do not always think about sex. No. Love is a thousand percent different than you think about this emotional or this physical. No. Love, where love is, there is beauty. Where love is, there is unity. Where love is, there is kindness. Where love is, God is. Where love is light, and where love is life, and where there is no love, there are horrors. Dracula, my God. When love disappears, then boys, girls, Dracula can come even through the windows. And if there is love, then these angels, you know, angels come to you, and that is why. We always have, on this time, the divine angels. They are God’s messengers, so Christmas tree decorate. And on this day, you can open your heart. And I know everyone of you have happy marriage, definitely. And if not, then it is your mistake. But Christmas Day is the only chance for you this year to find the way again to each other. Say, "I am sorry." You must make the first step. You should dedicate, you should surrender inwardly, your ego. Then you will see again, suddenly the blossoms will open. Give the presence of kindness, understanding, harmony, and love. So that Jesus was the incarnation of peace. He offered himself. He was not ready to fight. So no religion, no one should fight each other; understand the spirituality. So this is the divine period of time now, where millions of people around the world will celebrate this Christmas. And who can win the heart is a star, no? And that is why Jesus is called a superstar. Yes, if you can win the heart of your wife, I tell you, you are the superstar. And if you cannot win the heart of your wife, then you are that no star, breaks, what we call falling star, what you call this meteors. So you just fall, and you are burning, and you turn into the ashes, and that is what. So, who has fallen from his wife’s eyes? He has nowhere, any more, hope. And who has fallen from his husband’s eyes? He has nowhere, any hope. You are burned into the ashes, and therefore, again, affliction. The Christmas Day is a fulfillment to ever and ever shine in this heaven, in the endless universe, that brilliant star. And when the star is sparkling, that illumination of the star is your happiness. So you see, the same meanings we have also in our festivals in our Vedas, in the Upanishads, which were written several thousand years before, the same festivals are also in Islam and in other religions too. No, no, no jealousy, no conflicts, respect, respect. So try, I tell you, this is in me speaking now, you can see Jesus, okay? Because it is Christmas time. And in this church here, so often we pray to Jesus, so often. So do not think that Jesus is not here; he is active, and he supports me always. I tell you, one day, a few years ago, I think nearly 20 years, I was in Czechoslovakia. That time, Czechoslovakia, now it is Czech and Slovak. In the middle of Slovakia, in my lecture, many people came and many got mantra, dīkṣā, and blessing. So one man got a mantra and a blessing, and he went home, and now he could not sleep. Because he said, "I was loving only Jesus." I said, only you, my Lord Jījā, I love you only. And now Swamiji came into my life, and I love him also now. So Jija will be angry. He will be angry that I was not loyal to him. Now I share the love with Jījā and with Swāmījī, so he could not sleep. And at one o’clock in the night, he came to my hotel. And in the reception, of course, they did not let him go. He said, "I will do nothing." I laid, please me, only waiting in front of Swamījī’s room. Morning, when Swamījī comes out, I will say, "Here is your mālā, please, and I love Jesus." That is all. You see, this is called a kind of conflict. Sometimes, something comes between. In the morning, he came and he told me a whole story. I said, "Do not worry." He said, "But Jesus will be angry with me." I said, "No, no, he is my colleague, I will tell him." "Really?" I said, "Yes." Please then tell him that I love him very much. I said, I also love him very much. And he relaxed. The burden, the heaviness which he had, the conflict between two religions or beliefs, he was freed. And now he is a very happy man, a very spiritual and very kind man. And he understands everything now. He loves Jesus more now than before. He used to tell me, "Before, I was loving Jesus with a fear. I will do, it will be sin." Oh God, oh God, and now he is free. So it is a time for freedom. Celebrate Christmas with great happiness, with great love, with forgiveness. And if you can give a present to your wife or husband or father or friends, then give the presence of forgiveness. Surrender. Develop the friendship. Like this divine, it does not matter: Rāma, Kṛṣṇa, Buddha, Jesus, and so on. They win the hearts of all. And so you should be part of that, that you win the heart of all. Try. How is it possible that you cannot? You lost the heart of your wife. Oh, God. And you must know how she is suffering without you. Or you lost the heart of your husband, and you know how he is suffering. Ladies, do not think that only you love the man and the man does not love you. Your husband loves you a thousand times more than you love him. Men are very great, very great personalities of love. They only do not show you because men have a little bit of pride here. They do not want to show it. Who told me it was something? Somewhere in one country, in Holland, they are killing on one day, a day that all men go, and they kill the whales. On that day, all the whales come into one bay. And someone told me they are killing because they said, "If you kill one whale, then you are a man." So to prove that you are a man, you need not to prove while killing whales. Go to the doctor and see if you are a male or a female, that is enough. Here, what is to be thinking? So do not believe blind beliefs like this. So you are as you are, and Mother Nature has created you like you are. So I support your relations to your mother, to your father, to your brother, your sisters, your husband, your wife, your neighbors, and to all. So celebrate the Christmas with this consciousness, and then it will become divine, holy. So I wish you already now, happy Christmas and a happy new year. A blessed Christmas. And you will find under the tree all that you lost. And that is like under this roof, you will find everything. Or under your fruit tree, you will find all the fruit. So it has many, many significances of the tree. That is the tree of life. You are the tree. Everyone who finds shelter in you, you will give everything. Make a step towards your dear ones and use the words, "I am sorry, forgive me, it was my mistake." When you surrender, you win. Whoever can surrender has won. And who cannot, is a victim. So, all the best and God bless you. Thank you for coming, and I am very happy to see you. And wish you once more a happy, blessed, divine Christmas and a successful New Year. Healthy, happy, harmonious. May all be happy. May all live free. May all be healthy. And may we all protect this planet. Peace.
