Remembering on the Gurupurnima Satsang

The path is known only with the Guru. Countless rivers flow through long valleys, yet without a guide, one cannot know the way. A disciple once sought initiation, asking for the external cloth of renunciation. The true Guru instead offered to color the disciple's own heart, not the outer garments. The Guru's grace is the disciple's sole bliss. One must learn to understand oneself within the body and beyond. When such a great being lives among humans, they reveal the divine. Only that true Guru can accomplish this; no one else can. A true Guru does not speak of leaving or make claims about the self. The disciple and Guru are one, yet the Guru holds the discipline. The pure drop from the source is singular and cleansing.

"Please make me a sanyāsī and spread this cloth to me." "Do you want your clothes to be colored, or do you want your own heart to be colored?"

Hazār bahata nadiyā chale lāmī lāmī khāī, Sahasrāra koḍerā gurai. Sairāma gāśu rastā binā. Malam nahīṁ partā, mārga jīnā bhāī. Jānī chāchar sī, pare dhāraṇa parā āī. Kyā nī gurū binā malam nahīṁ partā, mārga jīnā bhāī. Manvā dhīre dhīre chalaka ghana ghara caraṇare bhāī. Śrī Devakī hai sāyama kera lakhāī. Svādīpa sanyāsī bole, kira pāse pāī. O Brahmadīpa sanyāsī bole, Gurū kī pāse pāī. Svādīpa sanyāsī bole, kira pāse pāī. Chalo, chalo ye sahilya, Satguru sāraṅga dharake deśa. Chalo, chalo ye sahilya, Gyānīguru sāraṅga dharake deśa. Poorā bhāī, ab re na kahā jo so vāta he uṭha chagā musāfira. Maṅgīlāljī was a disciple of our Lord, Śrī Dīp Nārāyaṇa Mahāprabhujī. He was a very good student, great, but still he could not see what he wanted to be. Once, he came to the holy Gurujī, Bhagavān Śrī Dīp Nārāyaṇa Mahāprabhujī. He became a disciple. There is a big lecture about this. He was from near Kacharas. After Mahāprabhujī’s time, Maṅgīlāljī came there, and Mahādvāna Jī, Bhagavān Mahāprabhujī, made a very nice place and put him in a cave. The earth did not know. For how many days or months, Maṅgīlāljī sat in that cave. Later, when Mahāprabhujī said to come out, he came out. He didn’t have any kind of grief or hunger; everything was the same for all those days. Then Mahāprabhujī said, "Devapurījī, Bhagavān, you, Maṅgīlāljī, are a great God, and you belong to Gurudev." It is of Gurudev. Before that, he said that Gurudev is Kapila, like our Kapilajī. He is Kapilajī, he is of Him, so Maheśvarī. He is Maheśvarī, and the one there is Maṅgīlāljī. Maṅgīlāljī said to Mahāprabhujī, "Please make me a sanyāsī. Please make me a sanyāsī and spread this cloth to me." Mahāprabhujī said, "Do you want your clothes to be colored, or do you want your own heart to be colored?" He said, "Yes, then don’t take clothes from outside." Mahāprabhujī educated Maṅgīlāljī and made him a sannyāsī. He is not like Maṅgīlāljī. He has a copy of his bhajans with him. We should not look at such great men. We should not ask them to do this or that. Guru’s grace is only the bliss of the disciple. The same bhajan that has just come is from Maṅgīlāljī’s book. You can take that book. He has many bhajans. You know that everybody, in our books everywhere, about Maṅgīlāljī, and we have been, every time, practicing and handing them in our classes and in many other countries. So today it was very nice that you showed us this. Once more, something, one bhajan more. Bol Śirḍī Pāyā Bhagavān kī jaya. God bless you. Kacharāṅga ādara esi raṅga ke dena. Thank you very much. Your mantra and then bhajan make us all very great. You understand mostly because you know that you have been spoken to about Maṅgīlāljī. Maṅgīlāljī was great, and just like the holy Gurujī said, Mahāprabhujī said that there is none greater. And you know that there was only one Rājā. And that Raja, he had his sādhanā. And after that one, the next one came, Maṅgīlāljī. Maṅgīlāljī, Mahāprabhujī said, the holy Gurujī was a great saint. So we have to learn to understand ourselves, and not only our body, but within the body and beyond. So we had, in our day yesterday, we had a program very beautifully, a whole day, two days. How many sādhus and many bhaktas and many, many all. The whole area here was full of, I don’t know, people, where to sleep or this, but everyone was sleeping here and there. Here was all full in the hall, other rooms were full, others were, and everyone, but no one was thinking, "We don’t need something, we have like that." So we were all one, very great, and our bhajana. And we will be now one year, one day more tomorrow, and day after tomorrow we are going, okay, okay, so two to three days. I am there, and we will still speak about that. We are all tired, and all of you have done your work. You have to sit down. All of you, for so long, I am very grateful to you that you come here and do satsaṅga. In the form of such great men, if they live with humans, then they make humans, God, Parvara, and Paramātmā. When that Gurudev happens, only that Gurudev can do it. No one else can do it. And Gurudev is that. That Guru is not that who sometimes says that he is this, he is that, sometimes I will leave. So he is like that: today I will go, I will do this. So, this is how a saint is, this is how a devotee is. He is like God, and he is the same; he gives the same to his disciples. And it is not that he is a sannyāsī. He says that his Gurujī never says anything to him. He does not abuse him. He is this, he is not. Then he is not a guru, and he is not a disciple either. The disciple is so much of the disciple and the Guru, but still the Guru holds the stick for them. Who has held it? What is that? So why does he say, "I will go up there; my father has done this and that for me every day"? If you have a lot of hair, it will go away. He says, "What I said is that I will remove all the hair on your head." One by one, your hair will go into it. Even then, that Guru will never tell you that he is sad or that he has no luck. He is the one who becomes the Guru, and he is the one who can become his Guru in front of him. Otherwise, it is fine. Then I will say, Āśā, Ṭhīka ho, Āśā, I will say, Āyāsa, Bābājī, Ṭhīka ho, I will say, I will say,... I will say, I will say... I will say, I will say. It is known that the drop that comes from the top is very pure, good, and sweet. It means that the drop that comes from the top is not so sweet or so dry. There is no other drop like this, and secondly, in the mountains and in the sea, there is a lot of garbage. And which of those can it bring forward? And the more it goes out, the more it is cleansed. The more it is clean, the better the water is. He is the one who drinks well in the water. And when he comes back, he says, "Mother, the animal is this and that." But in that drop, there is nothing else. There is only one, and he is the disciple. He is the Guru, and he is the one who takes it. So he goes to that point. If you look at the water, you will see that the water is flowing like this, and it flows like this, and it flows like this. But it is the same. If he can read, then he will drink. The other one drinks, and the other one is there. After that, I will talk again. I bless all of you. I bless all of you. I bless Bābājī, Gurujī, Mahāprabhujī, Devapurījī Bābājī. And all of you are coming. You have to go. Hari Om. Dīp Nārāyaṇa Bhagavānakī, Devapuruṣa Mahādevakī, Mādhāvanājī Bhagavānakī, Satya Sanātana Dharmakī. Om Śāntiḥ Śāntiḥ... Hari Om.
