Live as a Human

The oneness of all life is realized through the path of non-violence and recognizing our shared divine essence. Śiva is the primordial source from which everything emerges. All life, from the smallest ant to humans, is equal and sacred. The principle Jīva Jīva Bhakṣate signifies that life consumes life, urging us to avoid causing harm. We must affirm "I am human" as a constant reminder to act with compassion and avoid killing. Consuming meat and alcohol violates this sacredness. True spirituality means seeing the one God in all and giving up harmful habits. We are like a drop merging into the ocean of the divine; individual identity dissolves into universal oneness. The practice is to live without harming any creature.

"All creatures are doing. Those who are living without any killing—avoiding alcohol, meat, all creatures—that is what they are doing."

"Jīvā means life, life, and in that life there are all creatures: a little ant, this little ant, and humans, and all are all equal, what is living, living."

Filming location: Gold Coast, Australia

We are like other Swamis; we are the same. But we are working for everyone, every time, everywhere. They try for all to live as human. That human is God. Those who are living without any killing—avoiding alcohol, meat, all creatures—that is what they are doing. All creatures are doing. But when it has been given by Śiva, Bhagavān Śiva... Śiva is the first. There was no one, only Śiva. Everywhere, nothing, nothing. Before that, there come three different forms: Śiva, Brahmā, and Viṣṇu. And Śiva is not born from a mother or people or anything. He appears, and to see that. But before that, him also. There is another that they have to see, name, and the guru, that guru. Not a guru like a person, but the gods, the gods, God, and that’s why always we said three times, and there, coming from the Śiva. Bhagavān Śiva, no one was that. Nothing came from there, and so everything what we are talking about—this and that, water and the five elements—and these five elements are which we have to complete human. We humans, human. And the other was this: it appeared slowly, slowly, all... so water, water, bodhav jīvotar, jīva, jīva... Jīva bhakṣate, jīva, jīva, bhakṣate. All creatures in the water, in the oceans, everywhere, find water. The air is the fire. So, all this there of it, now we don’t, I don’t know, please, I cannot tell. Only I have heard it is given to some people who are holy. Don’t tell me, please, okay? That I was so, and I put you like everything, this and this. My dears, I am like you. If I will tell, "I am great, and I know, and I know," then what will we say? Okay. What is it? Okay. Where is it? And so, all creatures, all, then after that, it comes to Śiva. Śiva brought. And from there, they give everything, further everything. So this comes, this, that. But it cannot be all that God. All cannot be such persons. How they are going, that’s a mistake. I will tell you, my dears, and don’t tell me. I will tell, but maybe you will tell, and you will be angry or not angry, anything. But jīva jīva bhakṣate, jīva jīva bhakṣate. Jīvā means life, life, and in that life there are all creatures: a little ant, this little ant, and humans, and all are all equal, what is living, living. And when we are not living, it means we die, and so even very tiny. It is like other animals, buffaloes. Yes. You see that there’s fire? Very little fire. And there are big fires, or this like this. This fire is for all equal, and it can, this can boil anything, boil it mild. Yeah. Little fire. Little fire, but this other cannot. Animals, they know perhaps, or this and that, all but human knows. It is said, how is that? I told many things, and many things, some I don’t tell you. So, I will tell you something tomorrow. You should tell something now. I tell you something. From tomorrow, you should begin. Anyone, we are sleeping, and now we open, we get up, open our eyes first, and what? Tell only one word: "I am." What? "I am human." Yes, I am human, but don’t tell anything. The whole day, you will say, "Yes, I am a..." Human. Somebody comes, people are fighting each other, and he said, "Please, please don’t fight. Anything, we are human. Many things can happen: killing, killing animals, this and that." That’s why, you know, when I have long years, it’s about nearly two, two hundred, there was... Vagan, my yoga in Delhi, so they, my friends, they went to go to see the cows, animals, and what they said, how they are, and what happens. So one cow was giving baby, and it was a boy, and people was looking, "How is this?" And that other, they are working. And the people also there, with animals like this, they took this from the cow. It was a boy. And what the people were saying, "Okay, we clean it, and we will... we kill it now, we will eat." And there, these people were there. They said, "Oh my God, this mother cow gave the baby," and like this and that. Those people, as they make something so that we will not eat anything, meat like this and that, and that not kill anything, and so many people. Begins and begins and... I think in this country also, some people are vegan, yes. But don’t do that—one day you will do this, and that other time, no. They are all like this. So, I think some in this group are also vegan. Yes, look, there is one that is vegan. Have you someone? Two, three, they eat very good piece, this, that, everything, but mother’s milk. Mother’s milk is a mother’s milk, so cows, men, only for mother to mother, they have done everything. This is called Jīva Jīva Bhakṣate. Do not go kill the animals because we are humans. Are there other malas? They have everything; they have this and that and that... There is nothing to say. In this way, many people come and go to the aeroplane. When we go to an aeroplane, like a distance, maybe from here to Australia, or from Germany to India, etc. Everywhere we are going to eat, there and all, they have everybody who will, who want to have this, and who have this. And many people say, "Please, we are the vegans, many, very, very much jīvā." So jīvā and the jeep, everybody. So this is now a living fire, and if I will do like this, there’s nothing, gone. And if this fire can burn a whole house, so little animals are the biggest one. Each and every one, they have it in their life. If you take it or not, that’s many, many... Śiva, and from there we have begun. There, all the Hindus, Muslims, and all, but there’s always the question: who are they? They are from many, many years, and how they make Pūrṇam pūjā? Pūjā, they said, practice doing something. Mandir, many things are coming from that. Now, we don’t know. I mean, many people from these countries, those countries, they don’t know. They only go and kill them, and eat, and beat, because they think nobody told them. They did not know. And then, when they are told, "Oh my God, I will not kill this." I will not kill. That is a woman, I tell them, because you are my brothers, my sisters. You are Hindus. You are humans. And when you kill like this and this, then you are not human anymore. Many birds, what are they eating? Many, many cows, buffaloes, all of them, they don’t eat. Like this and like this, we want to say. So this is one, if we can do, I can tell you, your God, and my God, and their Gods, we are only one God. Understand and tell God, "Please, I did not know. I did not know. I will not do anymore from today. Give it up." If you say, "Don’t do," of course that is the thing. No, no, okay. Swāmījī said, "This is okay, very good and alright." And after, we are going down the way and said. Okay, they are Indian, so this, if you people can do and give, and many, many people, they are doing, and you know what he said? He and D and three, four, they are eating very good, not killing the animals, not this, not anything, and they are very, very eating very good like this, so this. In my, I wanted to tell you like this: all, if you can, and Śiva, Śiva was, then he brought the humans. These humans also. Jīv-jīv-bhakṣate. Many, many is that all? Everyone’s animal. But then Buddha, Bhagavān Śiva, Bhagavān Śiva, he said, This you like, this or this? And so many, many people are going now, eating, meeting, and this is. And now, where many, many were, but now they’re going back and back and back. They are eating meat and alcohol. Alcohol? Alcohol? Alcohol is a god. Alcohol? Yes. But this is only for the doctor, that they make a little medicine, something, and give it to us. That is a god. But when we drink the alcohol, where have you been? This alcohol, then it’s wrong. This is not good, that is not good. But we are well. Bhagavān Śiva has made this. It has in that, and from there, because it is the medicines and everything, so that is good, but not duck, duck... Do you know that? Good, yes or no? Yes, and it is like this. It is very good. Oh, no, no. Tomorrow, a little bit. Oh, yeah, in three days you become very nice. So that is the other thing. What was it? It is in that way, like this. And all creatures, animals, they are different, different, but we know. In our hands, so that’s it. It is said, "I am, I am human." Only one word, whole day you will think tomorrow, how it is said? Even he will tell about me. He said, India, he told me that one day, but whole day some people are very angry. But Swāmījī said that. This one, he said, "But whole day they are talking to me, and next time again it will come, and after a while he will say, ’I am really good for my life, everything good and good.’" Jīva, so first only, I am human, only human. And then comes Drapa, what on that, mother? Mother and father said, "I will lie down, and now I want to wake up." So first, after a long time of sleep, and then put our foot on the earth. I, mother, I am in your hands. My mother is dead. The real mother again will say, "The whole earth, every country." Is where is Earth? This is the mother. Mother, mother,... mother. Us mother ko, what will we do? Then comes the drop of the water, and here is the ocean. This drop will come from here into the ocean. It becomes one itself. Will not come anymore. We cannot take this drop back. It is in the ocean, and so is fire, light, everything. So if we can see really, so where is the good? That this little water, how good water is. How is this water and this? But this water in the ocean, it is all like this. The whole ocean. How many creatures are there? How many creatures are in the water? Yes, they are living very well, and they also need water and everything, this and that. But when finally it will come through from the water into the ocean, Where is another airplane going through? But nothing, water like this, but it is a water ocean. And that this drip comes. Yes, this is, take this water, please. Try to take the water from this when it’s coming down, and water coming from up, no? Yeah. Take this and look. You should drink like maybe in your camels, and this many things that is not, that water is not coming already down. But the pure, pure purities is the water. That is the water, and then it’s coming back and going back. So, five elements. And in these five elements, we are living, and then we are gone. Then we don’t know what we are now. So it is said, "Not me, I don’t know." Still, I did not learn, or learn like this, but I didn’t see. But it is said, when each and everyone, any creatures and humans also, when we call died—died? No, we died now. In that, I fall down, I’m died, I’m Hindu. Creatures, okay, and the other is somebody, somebody, please, I’m telling, but somebody falls down and dies, so he’s dying, and I’m dying, who will tell which I’m, what it is, and then come animals, then that is, so dead, when everything is. Dead, then there is nothing there of any hurry. Up, it will go, but from how it is coming there, as long as living in that, all elements and things, till say that, "I am God, I do, and I this and that." Otherwise, we are like, and after we died. We are all on the earth. Yes, I talked about this a few years ago, and one of them, a little... An animal died, a little dog, and then we, I know that, my disciples and this and that, it’s about, let’s say, about 50 years now, and that was given in our room there, we were inside and everything, and today we are doing. This here, because we want to do something, not a little from here, anything from this cow. She was already everything at home, so we are all okay. So that is that. Who he will go in this way is one of the best. We will many things, many things, but only one thing is life. I am life, and that life, I am human. And I am a human, I am good to all otherwise. And there is a bhajan, all bhajan here you are singing. He is giving you many years, I think. He speaks bhajan, yes, very nice bhajans. These are from our Gurujī. Said from this, now you should tell him next time. He should tell him. This bhajan that you are singing, each word, can you tell something? When this you exactly tell everything, I say, then you will say, "Oh, so it is like this, how strong it is." He said, "I am with God, as it is God’s inn." And many, many, many people in India, all around India, can sing that many bhajans, which cannot be found anywhere else. Every Indian, whether women or men, They have the bhajans, and in India, how many languages? It is many, many... People in India, and from there they come and they bring this, yeah. And so, yeah, and so, and then so, everybody in that time, it will be what happened? Okay, good. And so, we will, we will say yes. We will say, we will say yes. I am sorry, you know, in our language we say, "What am I? I am human, and I’m sorry." The word "sorry" is so great. With only saying, "Please, sorry," only that is very great, very great. Otherwise, we are all taking bhajans and all, we are talking in language, and... This and that, many things, but we, I am what I told on the just, I am human. I am so, my dears, I will not speak too much, but I can tell even your dog. If you can also see your dog, and he will, how he can be, and he’s very nice. He’s very, very nice, very. But these animals, they are eating some things different, and this and that, but many of our dogs, they don’t eat meat at all. They go like this, yes, in this way. So, my dears, I am sorry to say to you if I told something wrong, but it is in my words. And my words are like this: Please, we make ourselves don’t think, "Myself, I am very good, and I will do it," or, "It’s not this, and he was not good." When I will tell that it was not good and that is not good, then I am still not good. Oṁ Namaḥ Siddhi Prabhu Dīpa Nārāyaṇam...
