Holy Gurujis Mahasamadhi Celebration (2/3)

The grace of the Guru is the supreme blessing for human life.

Human life is momentary and difficult to attain. Its true purpose is to attain self-knowledge and liberation. Without a true Guru, life is wasted in criticism and fault-finding. The habit of seeing lack in others must be surrendered at the Guru's feet. The Guru alone can purify the soul and grant liberation. Meeting a true Guru fulfills human life. Taking refuge with selfless devotion invites this grace.

"In this world, there is no other means equal to knowledge for purifying the soul."

"The Guru will not come to you. The thirsty person must go to the well."

Victory to Satguru Bhagavān. Victory to all Saints and the Divine Mother. Victory to the Supreme Puruṣa, Mother, Father, and Gurudeva. Gurudevan ke deve he bade kṛipālī, kṛipā kari mujhdeena paripāl me ki āni āle. This is the story of Guru Amartya, who fought in the battle of Tanvisa. If you meet the true Guru, you will be able to understand the truth. The saints met each other and became very proud of themselves. They held each other’s hands. One hour, half an hour, half an hour of blessings. Tulsi, Saṅkaṭ, Sādegī, Harikoṭ, crime. And if you meet a saint, that day you will be a great saint. Sadguru Bhaktī. Bhali Bhai, when you meet a Sadguru, you do good by doing good deeds. Jai Ho. You have shown mercy on the world. You have taken the world as your son. Guru Seva is the greatest, the most virtuous. He has come to the Śaraṇ, he has done Seva, he is strong. He has said, "Seva is the highest in the world." Gopī Chandra Bharatārī Guru Caraṇam, Āyā Gurumei Mām̐ Kainai Jāve, Kālag Sobhā Karūn Guru Samdev Hainai, Dhan Dhanai Sadguru Satgurūjī. When I read the news of my own, when I read my own, "Why do you suffer, why do you suffer, why do you suffer? The true Guru’s grace has given you knowledge. Why do you suffer, why do you suffer, why do you suffer..." Gadi gadi, gadi gadi,... gadi gadi,... gadi gadi. Bhagwān arpanhu, Bhagwān āpīyo dayā lūdata, ṛṣi muni avatāra sabhya āpī ke guṇa gāta. Param śraddhā hai akhil koṭi brahmāṇḍ nāyakī. Śaraṇāgat karaṇam salva gwaan sadgurudev aur aaj. In the midst of us, we bow our heads to the world’s guru, the infinite and omnipresent Mahāmaṇḍeśwar Swāmī Śrī Mahiśvaraṇandajī Mahārāj. We bow our heads to all the great men. We bow our heads to all the satsaṅgī brothers. We bow our heads to all the mātṛ-śakti mothers and children. Śrī Gaṇeśa tells us that, "Durlabhaṁ mānuṣaṁ dehaṁ dehināṁ kṣaṇa-bhaṅguraṁ, tatrāpi durlabhaṁ manye vaikuṇṭha-pradarśanam." Why? Because this is a human life, which is very difficult. And even though it is difficult, it is a momentary bhaṅgura. In a moment, it is being destroyed. Childhood, youth, old age, death—this cycle of time is hovering over everyone’s head. Before death comes, sitting at the feet of these great men who have attained that self-knowledge, who have attained that brahmavidyā, understand that he has fulfilled his human life. Otherwise, our human life is going on like this: we are in criticism, in seeing each other’s shortcomings, in making each other fall down. We are stuck in this. We do not want to rise up and live with our efforts, but we want to make others. This is our way of living; this is wrong. Once a man said to a cuckoo, "Hey cuckoo, your voice is very sweet, but you are not black. How good you are!" The same man said to the moon, "Hey moon, your light is very cool, but you do not have this stain inside you. How good you are!" The same man said to the ocean, "Your water is very cool, but if your water were not salty, then how good would it be?" And the same man said to Gulab, "Your fragrance is very good, but if you don’t have these thorns in you, then how good would it be?" So what did that man see? He saw a lack. So all four of them together said to that man, "O man, God has made you very beautiful, but you don’t have the habit of seeing a lack in others. Then it would have been so good." So the bad characteristics and bad qualities in us, we should put them at the feet of the great men and take them out. Only then can our life be successful. Today, in this world, the gems of this India, we are proud of them, that they are making the path of devotion, knowledge, and separation in this world. And how many are getting benefits, how many are getting benefits, I cannot say this with my own words. But I can say this much, that such a great man, such a scholar, because of whom today India’s head is high. And I would like to say that his birth in our India, his birth on the land of Marwāḍ, is a matter of our good fortune. That is why Sadgurudev says in Bhagavān Kṛṣṇa’s Gītā, "Nahiṁ jñāne in sadṛśyaṁ pavitra mihavidate tat svayaṁ yoga saṁsibdha kālina ātmanivandatī." In this world, there is no other means equal to knowledge for purifying the jīvātmā. And that knowledge is received by these great men, by these Sadguru. That is why today we are very fortunate that we will meet them at their feet and take advantage of their darśan and their pravacan. We were saying bhajan for so long that our time just passed by. Because today we should have listened to them at the feet of these great men. We should have benefited from their speech. But we are deprived of this knowledge. So I don’t say much and give up my speech, and I pray to Swamījī that today we all, with our Amṛt Mahī speech, let us all be bathed in this Gaṅgā of knowledge. And let us remove the ignorance of our births. By saying this, we give up our speech. Parāyiṇam Amma Dhāpa Dāsa Prabhu Śaraṇa Parāyiṇam. Oṁ Namaḥ Śrī Prabhu Dīpa Nārāyiṇam. We are the devotees who have come in such a tradition, in such a group of Gurus. That we are also given mantras through the medium of meditation. In India, the mantra is a hidden thing. It is a secret thing. You have heard many stories that the Guru has spread the mantra on his forehead. No one wants to hear it. After all, everyone knows that the mantra is Rāma. But then everyone thinks that it is a secret. Our Dada Gurujī, who is the Nirvāṇī Vās today, taught everyone a mantra in his bhajans. Om Namo Śrī Prabhu Dīpa Nārāyaṇam. Not just this mantra. Śrī Dīpa Nirañjana Sabadukha Bhañjana Prabhu, Dīpa Nirañjana Sabadukha Bhañjana, isī mantra se hove mana mañjana, isī mantra se hove mana mañjana. Sumara Sumara Pada Payabhra Manandana, Sumara Sumara Pada Payabhra Mananda. Prabhu Deepa Niranjana Sabha Dukha Banjana. Isi Mantra Seho Vemana Manjana, Sabaduka banjana, prabhu deepani ranjana. Sabaduka banjana, shri deepanarayam bhagwana ki je. Madhavānandī Mahārāja kī jaya. This mantra, everyone knows it, everyone has understood it. Gurū Deva is telling us what is the result of this mantra, what will happen if we do it. And I am telling you a secret thing, that it will It should not be a secret that it is the mantra of our Gurudev. And when our Holy Gurujī, Hindu Dharam Samrāj Singh Madhavananjī, sang this bhajan, Then Gurudev asked, "You have taught my secret mantra to everyone. What is this?" Now it is not mine anymore. A good thing never goes bad; his power never runs out. What is greater than the name of Rām? Ram is not greater than his own name. How many people chant the name of Rāma? How many people know the name of Rāma? Even then, it is not over; it is not finished. That is why the mantra can be said by everyone. Everyone has to say it. If you take the Guru Dīkṣā from Gurudev, from any Gurudev, then he becomes your Guru. You cannot change the Guru again and again. You can listen to the Guru’s different discourses. Because India is the country of the Guru. You have to listen to how well he is speaking. How beautiful his speech was. Gagar me sāgar. So there is no shortage of Gurus in India. But when you take a mantra, you take it from one Guru. After that, listen to others’ discourses, but chant the same mantra to the Guru. Because the mother is the same, you can take others as well. Your mother is the same, but the mother is the same. Similarly, the Guru is the same. It was in my destiny that I used to travel with the Holy Guru in the villages. Because the Vishwagurujī is also in the country, that is why I got the gift of the Vishwaguru. Fifty-two times he went around the Earth. He did not go to any other country in the world. There are many students in many places. From America to North America, South America, Canada, Africa, Asia, anything. But Bhadabābajī traveled the whole of India. He reached small villages. And when he was giving satsaṅg to you people, he was saying, "This is your mantra. Whoever wants to say it, say it." Mantra Dīkṣā is silent. Mantra Dīkṣā is never done in front of everyone. Good things can be said in front of everyone. You don’t want to say bad things. You want it. I also say bad things in front of everyone. So now, by the grace of Gurudev, two mantras have come in front of you. Om Namah Shri Prabhu Deepa Narayanam which is our great-grandfather Gurudev’s, Mahāprabhujī ke jo amare mantra hai, unki naam se mantra japa. Is śabdo ke sāth, main merī vāṇī ko virām detā. Aur Gurudev ko dhanyavād kartā, is bhāvyā kāryakram hai. Mujhe bhī bhulāyā, aur bolne kā maukā diyā. Śrī Siyālak Purījī Mahādeva kī Jai, Devādhī Deva, Deveśvara Mahādeva kī Jai, Ārādya Bhagavān Śrī Dīp Nārāyaṇa Mahāprabhujī kī Jai, Jai Hindudhāraṇa Samrāj Maravāṇajī Bhagavān Kī Jai, Viśvaguru Mahāmaṇḍaleśvara Parasaṁbhāṣaṇjī Gurudeva Kī Jai. Very, very beautiful. Now, in between us, I would like to say a very good thing to Śrī Ānand Śrī Vibhūṣi Svāmījī. And through the two mantras, we washed our last moments. We removed the mālavikṣā and the āvaraṇa in our last moment. Now we will pray again. Shri Anand, Shri Vibhushit, Swami Mahāmaṇḍaleśwar, Viśvaguru, Swami Shri Maheśwarānandjī Mahārāj says, ki hum sabko apnī vāṇī se kṛtārth kare. Ek bār budī jor se, āp jor se bologe, to Svāmī jī jaldī sunāī kar leṅge. Bala Sadgurudev kī, sanātana dharma kī. Aas, Swāmījī. Om Śālagpurjī Mahādev kī, Jai Devād Dev Devaśvar Mahādev kī, Jai. Śrāḍīp Nārāyaṇ Bhagavān Kī Jai, Hindu Dharma Samrāṭ Paramahaṁsvāmī Śrī Mādhavānanda Purījī Satgurudev Bhagavān Kī Jai, Viśvaguru Mahāmaṇḍaleśvara Paramahaṁsvāmī Śrī Maheśvarānanda Purījī Ugraj Kī Jai, Sadā Śiva Samārambhaṁ Śaṅkarācārya Madhyamam. Āsmadāchārya Paryantaṁ Vande Guru Paramparāṁ Mannātha Śrī Jagannātha Madguru Śrī Jagadguru who have been adorned with the grace of the Lord. I also bow to them. And all my Gurubhāī, Gurubhen, Sanyāsī, and Vṛndu are seated on the stage. I bow to them. And in front of me, I bow to the Mātṛ Śakti and Bhakta Sajjana. Today, as you know, is a very auspicious festival. Today is the 19th Pūrṇimā Tithi of our revered Dādā Gurujī, Hindu Dharma Emperor Swāmīśrī Madhav Nampūr Jī Mahārāj. Many of us have been blessed with the opportunity to see the Dādā Gurujī in the Charan Kamal. I too have been blessed with the opportunity to see the Dādā Gurujī in the Charan Kamala by the grace of the Guru. I was only two or three years old when Mahārāj Jī became a Brahmin. I had the opportunity to see the Dādā Gurujī. Two or four things only are remembered. As Bābājī Mahārāj says, "Guru kṛpā he kevalam śāstrī ke ānandam aṅgalam." If Gurū Dev’s grace is on you, then in your life there is no chance of any trouble, sorrow, or strife. If Guru’s grace is on you once, then you don’t need to think about anything else. Guru Ājñā avichāriṇīya. Guru Ājñā, you don’t need to think why Guru said this, why he didn’t say this. Whatever Guru said, whatever Ājñā they have given you, you have to follow it. We all Indians believe in astrology, in the horoscope, and so on. But Guru is such a great man who, our destiny—if our destiny, in the way he has written that this will happen—the power to change it is only in a Guru. And we should feel fortunate that we are connected to such a tradition. Such a tradition, that we are disciples of such a great, old tradition. From Ādipurūṣ Bhagavān Śrī Alagpurījī Mahārāj to Bhagavān Śrī Devpurījī Mahārāj, Mahāprabhujī Mahārāj, Hindū Dharma Samrāṭ Paramānandsvāmī Madhavānandpurījī, and our Pūjya Gurudev, Viśvaguru Mahāmaṇḍaleśvara Maheśvarānandpurījī, we get the opportunity to listen to the satsaṅgas of Mahāpuruṣas. We have the opportunity to join such a great tradition. That is the biggest thing. It is very difficult to recognize the Guru, but all of us humans, there are 8.4 million living beings in this world. Tāpa, Bichhū, Magaramacha, cow, dog, cat, everything. Eating, drinking, sleeping, enjoying—animals, this is the work of the animals. We are humans. God has given us four kinds of grace. Dev-gṛpa, Śāstra-gṛpa, Guru-gṛpa and Kuṭkī-gṛpa. This is what our Dada Gurujī, Hindu Dharma Samrāṭ Paramāṅś Swāmī Madhavānand Gurujī Mahārāj used to say. That four types of grace have been given. Which was the first? Dev Kṛpā. Dev Kripa means, if the grace of the Devas is given, then only we will get human life. First grace. Second grace, Śāstra Kṛpā. What we read in the school, in the colleges, in the schools, what we learn from the books, from the texts, what we get to learn, that is Śāstra Kṛpā. Śāstra kṛpā hotī hai, tabī āpko vidyā kā arjan hotā hai. Vidyā dhāti vinayam, vinaya dhāti pātratā, pātratā dhanvā āpnoti. To vidyā agar hame prapta karnī hai, to hame śāstra kṛpā honī chāhiye. Tīsrī kṛpā aur sabse ūcī kṛpā hotī hai guru kṛpā. Bābājī farmāte, "Guru kṛpā hī kevalam. Agar guru kṛpā hoī to sab kuch ho gayā. Par guru ek jo pyāsā hotā hai uske pās kuā jātā hai, kī kuay ke pās pyāsā hatā hai? Pyāsā kuay ke pās jātā hai pānī pīne ke liye." In the same way, the Guru will not come to you. Come, child, come to me. No. As long as we are not aware of the feelings inside our mind, That we have to go to the Guru’s shelter, nothing will be possible. So, Dāda Gurujī used to say that self-gratitude is the most important. As long as we do not have self-gratitude, as long as we do not come to the pure mind,... We will not come towards the Guru in the form of devotion and devotion towards the Guru. Till then, nothing will happen. When the grace of the Guru is there, if you yourself come towards the Guru without any selfishness, without any selfishness, if you come to the Guru’s shelter, Then only the grace of the Guru will pour over you. If it comes in the form of any greed, that, "Gurudev, put our job here, transfer us here, do this, do that." These days, we go to God, "God, pass us the exam, pass karā do, hum āpkō mithāī chāḍāyeṅge." Nīśvaratā bhāv se karongā to sab kuch prapt hoga. Guru kā āśraṭ, guru ko kuch nahī chāhiye. Guru ko bhakto kā prem chāhiye. Jā bhakt hai, vahā bhagavān hai. Yaha satsaṅg hora hai, bhagvān bethe hai. Amāre Pūjya Gurudev, Viśvaguru, Mahāmurliśa, Maheśvaraṁpurījī, bhagvān ke svarūp hai. Amare le bhagavān se bhī ūche, Brahmā, Viṣṇu, Maheś, ye tino Brahmājī śṛṣṭi kartā, Viṣṇujī pālan kartā aur Śivjī saṁhār kartā, in tino ke pās śṛṣṭi ko utpann karne kī śakti hai, śṛṣṭi kā nāś karne kī śakti hai, par hameṁ mokṣa, hamārā Jīvan kā, manuṣya jīvan kā, antim charan kaunsā hotā hai? Ham kis cīj ke liye ham bhakti śraddhā kartā hai ki hame mokṣa kī prāpti ho? Aur mokṣa kī prāpti, sirf ek guru, sacchā guru hī āpko mokṣa dilā saktā hai, bhagavān nahī̃. Bhagavān āpko, bhagavān āpko janam... Deśaktā hai, āpko maraṇ deśaktā hai, par when you have Guru Kṛpā, as our Gurudev, Holy Gurujī used to say, there are four types of Kṛpā. Dev Kripa, Shastra Kripa, Guru Kripa, and Khudu Ki Kripa. It means first kṛpā, first blessings you need of the devatās. There are so many living creatures in this universe. All types of animals, insects, bugs, fishes, but the highest category of all living beings are us humans. If God gave us the opportunity, eating, sleeping, and reproducing, animals can do also, but us as humans, we have a higher duty there. Is there a much higher purpose of our life in this universe? It’s more than just all these general things, which even animals do. So first, the kṛpā, the first blessings, come from the deities, from the devatās. When they give you the blessings, then you become... Then you get born as a human, in this human form. Then after that comes the śāstra kṛpā. We go to school, we go to colleges, we study books, we read books to gain the knowledge. That knowledge comes within us, that we learn something. From those books, from those scriptures, you need the kripa of the śāstras. So second is śāstra kripa, and the third kripa is the guru kripa. Viśvagurujī always says, "If Gurudev’s kripa is showering on you, if Gurudev’s blessings are with us, then nothing in this world can stop us." And nothing will be bothering us when guru’s kṛpā is with us. Everything is possible. Everything is successful in our life. So the third kṛpā, the third blessing, is the blessing of a guru. We all believe in India in jyotiṣa, in kundalī. These all things are useful. It all helps. But when the Vidhatā herself, if she writes something, it’s supposed to happen. But there is only one person in this universe who can even change our futures, who is Antaryāmī, who knows the future, the past, and the present, who knows what is good for us. And what is bad for us? If he says something is wrong, it means it’s wrong. Don’t doubt him. He can see everything: what is coming for us, what happened, and what will happen. Follow it, so no matter what the vidatā, no matter... What is God’s right for you? The guru is that personality who can change everything if he wants. When you are thirsty, the well will not come to you. When you’re thirsty, the thirsty person has to go towards the well. The well will not come to you. Thirsty? Come, drink water from me. No, the person who is thirsty will go to the well and come and drink water. In the same way, the guru will not come to you. Come, my child, come to me. I will, I will give you everything. No, not until. And unless we, from inside, don’t believe and don’t, with unconditioned love and dedication and devotion towards a Śrī Gurudev, till that doesn’t come from within, nothing will happen. So kṛpā, the fourth kṛpā, as Ahalī Gurujī. Used to say was kṛpā, the blessings and the kṛpā of ourselves. When we believe from within that we really need a true Gurudev to fulfill all our wishes, to attain our ultimate goal of self-realization, of mokṣa, then it’s all that. It is only possible by the kripa of the guru dev. So today was a beautiful day, as it was our Dada Guruji, Holy Guruji’s punyatithi, his barsi, and second, our dear guru brother Tamilful Puruji got the very great post of Mahamandaleshwar, so we are. Very happy for that, and I would like to wish you all a wonderful evening. With this, I would like to conclude my speech. Kī jai! Hindu dharma samrāṭa paramahaṁsavāmī Śrī Madhavānanda Purījī Sadgurudeva kī jai! Viśvaguru Mahāmaṇḍaleśvara paramahaṁsavāmī Śrī Mah
