Phulpuriji becomes Mahamandaleshwar

The tradition's blessings provide the foundation for spiritual standing and the attainment of Nirvāṇa. This lineage, rooted in the Śaṅkarī tradition and the Daśanāmī Akhāḍās, grants the power to stand firm in society. Great beings of this path have purified places and incorporated divine influence through penance. The knowledge of Kapila Bhagavān has been revived for this age. The Akhāḍā provides the essential place and support; without it, one would be crushed. This tradition protects the system of Varṇāśrama. Sanātana Dharma is the great protection, the trunk from which all other sects branch. Saints, like flowers, bear thorns but offer only fragrance and softness. The disciple's development within the Guru's grace is called Maryādā. One must be devoted to the organization, not to bad deeds, and spread the Guru's tradition.

"The one who overcomes sorrow will attain Nirvāṇa."

"Saints, like flowers, bear thorns but offer only fragrance and softness."

Part 1: The Blessings of Tradition and the Path of Nirvāṇa Gajānanaṁ bhūtagaṇādi sevitaṁ kapitha jambhū phalachāru bhakṣaṇaṁ. First, he lifted his feet. Now you are witnessing the performance of the Pāda Bhikṣā, beginning with the feet of Ācārya Mahāmaṇḍaleśvara Rājguru Pūjya Mahārāj Śrī. Following this, our Satyajād Mahāmaṇḍaleśvara Poonpurījī Mahārāj’s Gurudev—Oṁ Satyajād Amravajyāmī Satyajād Aive namo namo bhave bhave nadī bhave bhavad samam bhavad bhavayanamam... Namaskar, Namaskar, Namaskar. God bless you, God bless you, God bless you. Urdhvaretā vāmadevāya dhiyo yo naḥ pracodayāt. Mitrāya muṣṭim amṛtāya. Oṁ so’ham. Abhu abhu. Oṁ sajjan hoṁ. Oṁ. Oṁ namaḥ Pārvatīpataye Hara Hara... Mahādev Dholiye, Satya Sanātan Dharmakīrtay, Adharmakā Naśo, Praṇīyome Sadbhavanā Ho, Viśvakā Kalyāṇ Ho, Namah Pārvatī Pataye, Har Har Mahādev. Is this enough? Yes. From now on, this is yours, and whatever is yours, I will give it to you. Oṁ Śalāk Purījī Mahādev Kī Jai, Devādev Deveśvar Mahādev Kī Jai, Śrīdīp Nārāyaṇ Bhagavān Kī Jai, Indra Dharm Samrāṭ Paramahaṁsa Mitrī Mahādvānā Purījī, Purījī Bhagavān Kī Jai, Viśvakarmā Mahāmaṇḍaleśvara Paramahaṁsa Mīmaheśvarāṇ Purī. Jī Purī Jī, Bhagavān Kī Jai. Śānti śānti... What is the meaning of this word? What is the responsibility and duty of the Lord? Śaṅkara Nirvāṇa has two great Ācāryas: Īśvaraḥ sarvavidyānām, Īśvaraḥ sarvabhūtānām. Bhagavān Śaṅkara, who resides in Kailāśa—the two great men of this tradition performed penance in Kailāśa, the place where the sun and moon meet. They have incorporated the influence and proofs of Lord Śaṅkara within themselves and have purified this place of Rājasthān. Now, I am pleased to see how you will proceed further in Nirvāṇa. I have stated below that there is no sorrow in the world. The one who overcomes sorrow will attain Nirvāṇa. And there is Lord Śiva. In the center is our Supreme Guru, Kapila Bhagavān Mahāmuni, whose incarnation was performed by the Koṭī’s Avatārī Puruṣa. He gave his incarnation for the development of the people of Karī Koṭī. First of all, his mother was his disciple. I am also proud that my mother, who gave birth to Maheśvara Nandjī, is not a mother in this āśrama. Today, I am proud to say these things are true. But for the sake of saving us from the plight of the Kali Yuga, today we have succeeded, through the blessings of our parents and gurus, in reviving the knowledge of Devahūtī and Kapila Bhagavān. This is our great good fortune. Today we are going to speak of this. God Kapila has given us the power. There were seven thousand sons of Sagara. Indra deceived them at Gaṅgā Sāgara. Indra saw they were performing an Aśvamedha. After a long time, he asked Darśa, Pāṇḍu, Māsā, Bhīma, and Svarga to become the officials of Svarga. He deceived them. He tied the horse of Sunil to the tree of Lord Kapila’s penance so the people of the mountain would think the horse was kidnapped by the king. He came there. In this way, Parīkṣit threatened the sage and placed the snake in his throat. Similarly, he wanted to insult our Guru. When his third eye opened, to be victorious in that war, at Gaṅgā Sāgara our Śaṅkarī tradition, our Śrī Mahant Mahant and everyone worshiped the Lord there. From there, the Lord accepted the divine power of the Mahant Mahant... Devyāḥ prabhāva, just like Devī Bhārat. In our Rājasthān, the country of Śakti and Bhakti, Rājputs did not only fight with the body but also with weapons. There was a grace upon the heads of our local deities, just as our Gaṇḍā Siṅghjī had the great grace of Karṇā Mātā. Mahārāja Śarapur from Mahīrañjad. This means that due to the influence of Śakti, the men and women of our Akhāḍā gathered at that time, and we were established in Haridwar. We established ourselves in Haridwar. Lord Śaṅkarācārya has given us a form, a name, and our mediator, Kapilavarman, has given us the power to stand again in society. That same society today—the society of the Daśanāmī Śaṅkarī tradition, the Akhāḍā society—today we are standing because of this Akhāḍā. Wherever we are standing, the Akhāḍā has given us a place to stand. Otherwise, we would have been crushed. We could not have stood in Kāśī, nor in Mathurā, nor anywhere else. But our ability to stand there is due to the great deeds and influence of the great men of our Darśanamī Akhāḍā. Consider one thing: Nāgur is close to us. Mahārāj, this Nāgur was the king of Nāgas. He was the king of Nāgas. Darśanāmī was the king of Nāgas. That is why his name was Nāgur. He was the king of Nāgas. Even today, in Rājasthān, yatra, tatra, sarvatra, our darśanāmī mahant and the rājā of the state, the thākur, the owner of that place—our farm is such that even today, to keep this tradition alive is very fortunate. My relationship with Mahārājśrī since 1980 has lasted 42 years. I used to meditate in the mountains of Jaipur. I went to see Mahārājśrī’s Gurudev, and then I took Mahārājśrī to that place. "If you can develop it, then do it." It is near the Ghāṭ of Bade Hanumān. For Mahārājjī, that place was small. So Mahārāj Śrī, like many of our sages—Candra Mātā—performed penance for Lord Śaṅkara. In the same way, Dakṣa improved his penance, so Dakṣa Bandhkar Karma. Just like this, our Mahāpuruṣas... Today our Supreme... Maheśvarānandī, who has performed Oṁ Āśrama in Jhadan, he is also no less than any Jyotirmayī and no less than any Charpurī. If you come here, you will also receive knowledge here. When I narrated the story of Jagat Prashit Dongrejī, Kurukṣetra—when Mahārājjī came to power, at that time my leader and leader, Gulwārī Lāl Nanda was the president, Ganeśa Nandī was the vice-president, I was the secretary. At that time, the story of Duṅgārījī that took place there... In that story, what happened was Duṅgārījī’s marriage. On the fifth day, he said, "Mahārāj, I put you in a lot of struggle." In Gujarati, it is said that you put yourself in a lot of struggle. I gave him a sheet of paper and said, "What can you give? What can I give in alms?" He said, "What can I give? I have studied in your college. I have done Śrī Gaṇeśa from your ashram. Today, you are performing the penance of my life. What can I give?" I told him that our Śaṅkarī tradition is the worship of Varṇāśrama. Ācārya Śaṅkara has been the protector of that system. And our useless talks: someone is setting up a Jñāna śivira, someone is setting up a Jñāna śivira, someone is setting up a Yoga śivira. Oh Bābā, you are a member of the Jñāna śivira, not a member of the Yoga śivira. That is why the first practice of the Jñāna śivira is that of Madhavatpād Śaṅkarācārya. I have told the Bhagavad Gītā—there are many Kathakāras in Gujarat. Bāpu is full of souls, small, big, small, big, big, big... big. I am from Gujarat. I am from Gujarat. Maharashtra is a pure form. I said this is not your topic; this is the topic of Maharashtra and mine. And then he said, "Don’t call Maharashtra in front of me; you are insulting me." He said, "This is not your topic. You can’t come when he comes." He had a few satsaṅgas, and I am happy to be married today. Today, with the blessings of this tradition, I have read the story of my Śrī Pañcāyatī Akhāḍā Mahānirvāṇī. Ānand Chetanjī knows it; we have read it together. The story of our friend, Girdhar Narayan Purījī Mahārāj, we have studied in his shadow. With their prasāda, with their butter, with their roti, with their dry fruits, we have come to this world. And there is one more thing. When I was invited to Ahmedabad as a Phulpurījī, at that time he had come from the Rāmakṛṣṇa Mission; he was ill. He said, "Mahārāj, take me to Ahmedabad. My dead body may have come from there, but I want to carry him on my bed." We arranged for an ambulance to Delhi and planned to go to Ahmedabad with two ambulances. We told the priest that he was a Sanyāsī and not a Bairāgī. There was a lot of opposition, but when he was going to Navisharan, he got sick and Delhi started treating him. He told his brother Prabhakar, "My body should be taken to Santramāśrama Nadiyā." Like Kabīr, the saint of Param Siddha Karṇa Koṭī, who was born from the lake and became a lotus in the lake. In the same way, Santrāmjī Mahārāj of our Santrāmāśrama became a Jyoti. "Kṛṣṇa, Govinda, Gopāla, keep singing, keep lighting the lamp, keep mixing the lamp." This was their principle. So, in the end, Mahārāj reached there and stayed there for 25 days. He took sannyāsa and performed saṅkīrtana according to the tradition. In Kalī Tāl, Maikṣamular wrote in his memory that the place of the sun and the sun are both in the solar system. The same place is in the solar system of the entire world, in the world of Bhagavatpāda Śaṅkarācārya. I am very proud to say that our Viśvaguru Mahiśvarānandjī is our representative. He is spreading the message of Bhagavatpāda Śaṅkarācāryajī and Mahākṣamudrā. Phoolpurījī has done a lot of service, although he was a friend of one of the Sardārs in Punjab. One day, both of us met, and we both had beards. Both of us were sitting in Jalyana and were discussing: if our beards get burnt, who will be the first one to be worshipped? So the husband said, "First we will be worshipped. Then we will be worshipped if we get your time. First, we will be worshipped." This is my situation. For years, Mahārājjī wanted to call me on this day. And I wanted to invite them, but it was such a coincidence that we were not able to find our lāsi in this. We were not able to find our lāsi in this. But today, Lord Kṛṣṇa had said in the beginning of the Mahābhārata: "Haribara kī Hiranbara, Śatambara kī Śyām, Arjuna Ratko Bhangte, Bhadikare Bhagavān." It is either a deer or a lion. So Arjuna, go and study. Nakula said about Jyotiṣa, "Go and study." And after you study, you will be able to do Śyām. Śyām is sitting on your head. Śānti Śyām is sitting on your head. So I also thought that the work Mahārājjī had, those were my qualities. But for so many years—at least 20-25 years—this boy has been serving us. Keep one thing in mind: when I was traveling, I was in Rājasthān for five years, then I flew to Arun. I went to Jawarja from Arun. In Jawarja, a Vaiṣṇava welcomed me. Bhaiṣaṇabh did caitanya in the temple, and then he was taken to the front to play the drum. That saint was with me, and there was a big party. When I went to that party, I had a feeling that the people of the house were dancing and playing the drum. But before my respect, I respect this saint who has spent 35 years of his life and youth in this village. Today he himself is a character of respect, and he is also giving us respect. In this way, gentlemen, he is a character of our congratulations because he also increased his and Mahārāj’s respect by serving Mahārāj. And remember, let me tell you one thing in advance. These great men are sitting here. In our Haridwar, Mahārāj knows that there were two great idols: Kṛṣṇānanda, Govindānanda, and Bhāgavatam. If there is any Guru or brother who is a part of him, then he is Viśvakānanda and Viśvadevānanda. I am not fooling them all. My friend in Suratgiri Bangla said, "My brother, my brother, my... brother, today is the birthday of Śrī Chetan Purī, and 50, 50, 60, 60, 1000 people are being worshipped." He said, "Brother, brother, we are making a mess from the back." And when he left, he said, "We will take you with us." He was sitting as a witness. And one thing: when we were making a mess, laughing—how do we laugh? Dogs bark. And when we came, at that time, he said from the car, "Bisho, I will sit. Come sit in the back." At that time, I was sitting in the seat of the guest. And when my Gurudev said that he wants to make you Ācāryas, that day I said that Gurudev is my elder brother; I will try to make him an Ācārya. Mahārāj said, "Gurujī, Kaliyuga—I am hearing such things about Satyuga, about Bhārata, about the Pāṇḍavas." I said that for me, Satyuga is always at your feet. Our Tulasīdāsajī has said that there is no difference between us and the Kaliyuga: "Kāla dharma nahīṁ vyavahita hī, Raghupati caraṇa prīti bhāti jahī." And see what happened. It seems as if both the brothers had a very big plan. For 28 years, they ruled on this Nirvāṇa Pīṭha. He did his duty, gave him blessings, gave North India a strong back, gave it a system, and gave it a foundation for the welfare of the world. And in the end, he used to say to his younger brother in his life, "If there is no one who is becoming a disciple, then the world is gone." So I expect from these children that just as Viśvakarman and Viśvadevānanda are devoted to the organization, they should not be devoted to bad deeds. Similarly, all of you brothers and sisters should be devoted to this organization and keep the bad deeds in mind. From our Haridwar, our Pañca Parameśvara and our Mahāmaṇḍaleśvara Mahāpuruṣa—it is like this: all of them are our ātmīs, and they are our friends, Ādham Cetanjī. Yesterday at 5 o’clock, he was starting the Maṅgala Caraṇa Sabhā where children from first to M.A. class are represented, in which the Gītā is represented and Kausalyā’s character is kept. This time it is used for the welfare of the saints. This is our Sanātana Dharma. We can say with certainty that this is the protection of the elders, and all other sects of Dharma are its branches. It has leaves, flowers, and fruits. But Sanātana Dharma is a great protection; this is the reason why we have kept our story. Due to Mahāprabhujī’s love, saints meet with devotion, and worldly people meet with attachment. Somewhere we are born, somewhere something is born, somewhere he is born. Whatever we get, we get it with Nāda. The Guru Mantra is called Nāda. When the Guru is in him and his development is in the disciple, then he is called Maryādā. We are all brothers of Maryanad. Mātā Pārvatī Devī, Pitā Devo Maheśvara, Bandhava Śiva Bhaktāśca, Svanokām Bhuvanam Trayam. In this way, the time that I had, I came here, and now I will leave. Thank you very much. I wish you all the best.
