Life is a universal essence present in all beings and elements, sustained by divine grace.

God provides this body and the life within it. Life exists everywhere—in air, water, earth, and all creatures. They live according to their nature. A personal story illustrates spiritual perception: while meditating at night, a presence akin to a Guru appeared, prompting a profound experience. Another account involves a mother figure who spoke of life within the earth itself, revealing countless beings. The body is temporary. They are born, they merge there, they will die, and they will come again. They exist only in the air. And many creatures are in the water, and in the ocean. What we are saying is that life exists mostly everywhere, as we have on earth. Life is everywhere. Then there are the flying creatures. How many are flying? How are they? They go, they come down, they go up, but they know in their heart, in their life. They are happy, or they think, "We are all right, we are good." So they are also living like that. And then on the earth, in the earth... we are sitting on it, but not only on the surface; inside us is very, very much. Let's say, it was about 20 years in Vienna, or maybe more. I was here in our ashram, and there was one mātājī, a mother. I tell you, all are mothers, but she was from here. She was very great. Many people are the best; all are best. But some kind of people like God, or God is not also... but this is okay, it doesn't matter. She was very nice. You know, we call her mother. We have in our other ashram there, you see who is there—Katarina, yes. And there is another weather. So, like all people there... I was within a beautiful house, and I was with Mātājī. We have our own ashram. This is now an ashram. Tomorrow you can go and see; it is very nice. There are many. So, we were sometimes in my mother's house, sometimes in ashrams, and it was very good. She was so great, and she was always taking very good care of me. I was like a little child for her. Sometimes we were going, walking in the forest after we had ashram meditations and everything. I said, "Mātājī, shall we go in the forest? Yes, at night, very late at night? Yes." What do we know? And we went, and we came back. That time was very good. Now, people don't like when it is dark. They are not trying to go here and there sometimes. One day I said to Mother G, "I'm going." She said, "Okay." I went with my car because I had this pipe car. It was not this one; it was the other from Mātājī's car, the little one. At night, I was going, and then I took my... that place, they're here, and I rented a little grass. More, and I'm sitting. I'm sitting there, and this is air from this side, other side. This was in the place where I am, and there was a village a little far away. I'm sitting now here; I want to meditate. I didn't see him still. Then I heard that this is something, my Guru satsaṅg or this. Again I looked like this, but still I was a little bit maybe. Then it came, some one word to me, and I forgot what I told it. "It is my Guru," or something like this. Then I got up quickly, took my car, and I came again. Other times, I came without our doctor, and she has their house there. I was going to go with her and see that she's sleeping, or okay, is to me always very much. But I see that very thing. So, this is all how we can feel what it is. And in the earth, so what is in the earth? Then the Mātājī, she was there. She was, and the Mātājī was there. In her house there, we have a very nice house. Because she had no child, and only one son she had. At that time, there was something—the whole world was fighting everywhere—so her son was gone. Still, she did not know what it is, where it is, and she was very sad all the time, every time. Okay, okay, this is further. We were sitting in my room, and there's Mātājī's room there and the kitchen, very nice and so on, also so good. Then she said one... because that time we had our television, but not like television like that; it is just one. The broadcast would finish at 11 o'clock, yes, midnight finished, yes. And about 12 o'clock in the morning, it came again, you know. And it's only, but there is no rank, only normal. I have lived many things. And so, our practicing of different yogic... and yogic is that, that kind of yogīs. Otherwise, now you just see in yoga, and yoga that is not yoga. They are all now, they are going and said, "We are yogīs, and we are a yogī." You are not a yogī now. You see, in India also, after a few years, they all come, and they make all that is like it's yoga, and yoga inside, and yoga, and in this yoga, to give like that. They are only, they are only thinking about the money, everybody. They're making this so, I will give in my lectures there, and I said, "What are you looking? Why are you and that?" And there, what?
