Never eat meat

Spiritual values are declining as modern yoga teachings compromise core principles. Many people now believe they can eat meat while following a spiritual path, which is incorrect. This acceptance has spread from some teachers who traveled from India. True spiritual progress requires strict adherence to non-violence and purity, including a vegetarian diet. Those who maintain these practices, like certain sādhus, demonstrate the correct way. We must reject the new, permissive teachings and return to the authentic "Yoga in Daily Life" discipline. This path demands we avoid meat and live purely, ensuring clarity of mind and spiritual growth. We must be strong and share this correct understanding to guide others back.

"They also say that if one wants, one can eat meat too. And that is not good."

"We should all come back and become like this—no meat, nothing."

It is said that in the beginning, there were many very bad things: wrong actions, improper eating, and so on. People think that we are all good now. Yet, many humans have begun to eat meat and such things. Of course, in your countries too, there are many, many good people who do not eat any meat. This is true in all countries, in many countries. But I have observed that in our countries, those who began on the spiritual path—their children are also very good. Because when the father and mother are very good, the children become very good also. And people said, "Yes, we are progressing more and more." Unfortunately, much is now coming from India in the name of yoga practice, and it is spreading to whole countries. But there is one thing that is not good. They may teach many good things in colleges and everywhere, but they also say that if one wants, one can eat meat too. And that is not good. Do you know how many years it has been since I came to this country? From that time we began, and you are all so good that you do not eat meat and such things. Some people go out and begin eating here and there; they are not like that. But I am telling you about your countries. By "our countries," I mean mostly those from Croatia and all these Slavic countries—Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia. The people from other lands—Czechoslovakia, Croatia, America—they came from here, from Europe. In India at that time, this was not present. These people came from different lands, and many different things have happened, but it is very much apparent. You are very good, and I think God has given this to you. We have done very well here. But somehow, someone went out from this path. And the Indians came inside these countries; they went to all countries in the world. But what they said is: "We don't mind; if you want to eat meat, it is your choice. We don't object." So now this has come. This is not very good. This is coming from India. They came, but they brought the acceptance of meat with them. I will go to India now and ask all Indians from the government, "Do you eat meat or not?" They will say, "We are eating." Then what are you doing here? In India, there are many, many people who are very strict; they do not eat meat or anything. But many of those who went out from here were mostly such people. So I am telling you, please, take this message everywhere: we will have "Yoga in Daily Life." We have learned very much here; we worked very hard. Now I want to tell you that you should all go again and tell only the "Yoga in Daily Life" people. They have not been given this teaching properly. They said, "No, we don't want it; we don't know about eating or not eating. We can do as we please." That is not right. And so, it came last year, after two years, I think. And it has come to these countries—that we are coming to God, and we all will come to God. So let us work and tell the people everything: what is Yoga in Daily Life, what the Indians are bringing, and what is good or not. We all know where we stand; you are very good. We have to be strong, and we will bring the people back again to the understanding that we are with Yoga in Daily Life. There are some people who are more than that—not only Yoga in Daily Life. They were all swamis. And there were many, many of them. They were not eating meat and such things. There are many who follow their path strictly, practicing according to their guru, and that guru's guru. But all are one; they are all making the same spiritual progress. They practice non-violence, not killing anything, not eating meat. They always clean their hands, yes? After eating, they clean their mouths. Everything is done purely and cleanly. So there are many, many sādhus, and they are very great; they are working now. So I will help you. We should all come back and become like this—no meat, nothing. And you know, mostly, who is eating meat? You will see that after a certain number of years, you develop many problems in the body. Many, many people cannot think clearly. This is because of the meat, and because of the good cows and many other animals. They are all very good, but they are being killed in great numbers. So let us resolve to bring back the best again. Do you understand? Thank you very much. Always, whole night and day, I am thinking very much of you, all of you. Look at the little child. He is also making like this. Good. So it is. Siddhi, Pāṇḍare, Bhagavān, Gītā, Dev, Purī, Sāma, Dev, Gītā, So Mātā Pitā, Mātā and Pitā. So when you come and marry, both should be together for their whole life. You know, many things are now lost. There are very many problems. Maybe the girl is not good, or her husband is not good. And they have children, and the children are left without them. So please, if you marry, then make it your vow that you will not neglect the children. Give your children very good food, and all be together. When husband and wife are united, okay. But when you get a child, then both—the wife and husband—come together helping and being good to the child. When the child comes, then this lady, it is her child, and she has so much love in her heart for the child. So they said, husband and wife, "Yes, now we have our children." And we should help very much and raise our children, and we will work very well again. But you know, maybe there are many things within you—that your parents are gone, or this or that. So we will bring more back again. Thank you. Hari Om.
