The sleep makes you healthy

Sleep reveals the distinction between the body and the true Self. In sleep, the entire body is present in the heart, offered to God. Proper sleep is essential for peace and progress, not found through medicine but through self-understanding. The sleeping body remains, but awareness travels, demonstrating consciousness is not confined to form. This experience shows the Self is separate from its temporary states. From the heart, consciousness moves through the navel, projecting everywhere while the body rests. This process mirrors death but is not death, as the navel anchor remains. Deep sleep brings relaxation and restoration, with the body functioning autonomously. The two aspects are dreaming travel and physical rest. Yoga nidrā touches this state of conscious sleep.

"we are sleeping, but that is not us."

"Love is the right yourself, yourself in your Self, which is happiness, the source of all greatness."

Om, Om,... Śānti, Śan, Śan, Siddhi, Nārāyaṇa, Bhagavān, Dev, Puruṣa, Mahādeva, Satya, Sanātana, Dharma, Om, Śānti, Śānti,... Śānti. You have all come from many countries, and you are very happy here. In this ashram, what we have done for many years, we will now do something very good. So when we do it, you must come here again. We must see now, in your countries and in India and many other places, you know the situation yourselves. In India now, they are bringing very good things, and they come again to understand how we should live—what we should eat, how we should work, how we should create good things for everyone. We must always know where we are. I have told you many times, and I will tell you again: every day you should know. You can go to sleep very nicely. When we go to sleep, do you know how you are sleeping? Yes, we are sleeping, but that is not us. Are we our eyes? We have eyes, and we all go to sleep. At that time, our whole body—everything of the body—is there, present in our heart. In our body, it is as if we are offering it to God. So when we are truly going to sleep, you have three states, and this is one: going to sleep. If you cannot sleep properly, then it is not good; it becomes a problem. Many people tell me they cannot sleep. Why can you not sleep? They ask somebody for medicine or something like that. Some doctors prescribe things. When a doctor behaves like this, it is not good. You will not become better. We have to come to it ourselves. And why? For peace, peace, peace. Then you will progress in good things. When we are eating, drinking water, and so on, everyone does this. Then you go to the bathroom and go to bed. So when we finish here and come to bed, we lie down. What can you do there? How do you do this? How will we do it? If you have some problems, or issues with your family or other people—if they are not good for you and cause you problems—then we go to sleep, but we are not complete. Those who can sleep very well should have no such obstacles. "I am peaceful. I am as I am." Then, you know, when we go to sleep, suddenly that time comes and we go far. "My heart is very good, I am relaxed," and this state continues, and then we enter into that. At that time, you are not inside your sleeping body. It is there, but it is all your bodies, and you are going. Today you will see: you will sleep and you will go to what you love. What is love? You know what it is... Love is the right yourself, yourself in your Self, which is happiness, the source of all greatness. For example, we are all sleeping here today. You are sleeping here somewhere, but you find yourself somewhere else; you are within another country. You are there in your country, and you are here. How is that possible inside? If something happens, even a little—like you were in America and are sleeping here—how quickly it comes from there to here! From here, from there, to here. Then it is said, "In that, I am. I am myself, and all my... is that I will look, I will be happy and good, or have many problems. You are sleeping deeply, but you and some problems are somewhere." So this is it. It is in the heart, inside, and from it comes into the navel. The navel is there, so it goes out everywhere here and there, but here it is. In that state, one dies; we object, we die. But you have not died. As long as we have the navel, you will make everything. Then you go completely out of the body. So when we go to sleep, what do we do? We go to the bathroom and so on, and then we sleep. Why do we make ourselves sleep very deeply? Now, there are two things. One is that when you are sleeping very nicely and you think you are somewhere, in that state you are going there, but you are present in the whole body, everywhere. And there you are in this whole thing, in your body's problems or absence of problems. The hand goes out, and you are your body—your body and this body. The whole night, the whole day, we were running, working very hard, and we did this. With the people, was it good or not good? Everything we did in my whole day—and now what do we do? I will go to sleep and be. Relax, yes. Relax is that, and it is good. Everything is in the whole body, everything. I also, the whole night, am thinking very much about this and that. You have different, you have separate. So in this, we sleep and relax. So relax, then we will be very happy. The way we are sleeping at that time gives all energy, everything—peace and harmony and everything. Sometimes people have so many problems. But sleep will make us happy again, healthy, everything. So therefore, please sleep. Sleep, and there are two aspects. One is that I go out here and there, and the second is that now I am relaxed, and my whole body or whatever it is—I do not know—they are working everything, everything with the stomach and this and that, everything somewhere here, and he doesn't know what. You are sleeping, and he is so happy. So, her husband and his wife are sleeping in one room, and then his wife comes out from the bed and goes to the other side. That is Śikhaṇḍī. And he doesn't know where you are and where your body is. And that is so that what we are doing in our yoga programs—we bring and what we lie down and what we call them? Yoga nidrā. But that yoga nidrā is a little of what they have done in yoga. But what is the other one? That is, what is that? Yogī Janakī, Yoga Nidrā, Yogī Janakī, Yoga Nidrā, Bolo, come quickly. So then you will see that inside, how we have begun then. So all are sleeping, but there in that sleep you are relaxed and you are okay. And then this is that we go to sleep at night, but in this other state, they are there, but they are not in. I am out, in that out. So this is what we have to do, isn't it? Yogī jāno kī yog darā pīral sant jān jānīye.
