The power of Gurudev's blessing

The great fortune is to be in satsaṅg, not entangled in the distractions of the age. This gathering provides rich spiritual food, not the mental fast food many consume. To digest this requires strong inner fire and practice. Simply being in this atmosphere purifies energy and grants strength. The most vital part is the personal connection—greeting the teacher and receiving prasāda. This act releases karma and provides sustenance felt long after. Prasāda is the holy essence capable of transforming a life, as is true darśana.

"Prasāda is the essence."

"That Prasāda is completely able to change our life if we know what Prasāda is."

Praṇām Gurudev, Hari Om, dear brothers and sisters. It feels as though only yesterday we concluded one seminar, and now we continue here again at Strelka. Only this bridge is something different. I think Lakṣmī now has more space for her performance—I am joking. I am so happy that we are all here. It is truly a great fortune to be here, always, but especially now. At the beginning of this satsaṅg, I glanced at my mobile and saw it was exactly the time the news usually starts on television. Yet we are not in front of the television watching the news or a horror movie; we are in satsaṅg. That is the great luck, the truly great luck, that we are not entangled in this Kali Yuga. We are here in the ashram for satsaṅg with Viśva Gurujī, and we are in Sathya Yoga. It is our great fortune to have this opportunity to do something for ourselves, for in this Kali Yuga, it is hard to practice. Many people are just looking for something short, for mere information. Very rare is the one who seeks real knowledge. A few days ago, I heard that it is not only the young generation, but most people are eating fast food. I will not speak about physical food, but rather, most people are consuming mental fast food. When you are in satsaṅg, when you are in spirituality, that is not fast food. It is truly rich food, and to digest it we need strong agni. For that, we also need practice. We know that with Śrī Gurujī, there is always rich food. Simply being in this atmosphere, in this Ābhā Maṇḍal, is something. It is something that gives us energy, purifies our energy, and gives us more strength to continue on our spiritual path. When I first began with Viśva Gurujī, I must admit I was somehow not fully inside. Thoughts would come: people are greeting Swamiji, we are losing time, there is no lecture. All this stuff was in my head. But after a few decades, I have realized that that is the most important part of a seminar: the opportunity to come, to greet, to be in that energy. The prasāda we receive from Viśvagurujī is something very rare. A lecture is no problem; it is okay. It is nice talk, sometimes nice inspiration. But to come, bow down, greet, to come very near to your Gurudev and receive prasāda—that is the real food, the rich food that we digest and feel for weeks after the seminar. This act of bowing down and greeting releases us from many, many karmas. I think Śrī Rāmakṛṣṇa once said he did not want people to come to him and bow down. He gave a not-so-pleasant picture: you have a bucket of garbage on your head, you say "I will be nice," you bow down, and you place a part of this garbage in front of your Gurudev. What to do with this? The Gurudev takes it and continues. Śrī Rāmakṛṣṇa said you then go home and, like a pig, just jump back into the mud. This is also a picture of how important this moment is, the moment we have just had. Prasāda is not just nice, sweet food. Prasāda is the essence. I always remember what Viśvagurujī said: he always wanted to get prasād from Mahāprabhujī. The circumstances were a little different then, but once he received Mahāprabhujī's kurta, and inside was one piece. One who understands what prasād is knows that nothing else is so holy, so spiritual, as that prasād. Every piece of that prasāda is holy. You know the story from the Rāmāyaṇa, when the bridge was built. There is another story, a little one I almost missed, about a little squirrel. Yes, it had a golden stripe on its back. They asked, "For what? From where do you have this stripe?" A little dust, like prasāda, fell on it, and it received this golden stripe. That is the Prasāda. That Prasāda is completely able to change our life if we know what Prasāda is. Darśana is also able to change our life if we know what Darśana is. Thank God, all of us here know this. It is truly a blessed moment to have satsaṅg in the ashram with the Gurudev. That is something which changes our life and gives us energy to continue in this Kali Yuga. Thank you, Viśva Gurujī. Thank you for this opportunity. Thank you also to the organizers for keeping this ashram in this spiritual energy, which is not easy. For us, it is only to know this, to prize this, to receive this energy, keep it, and not only keep it. When we go home, we must preserve that light. We must keep it and make it so that in our homes, in our cities, in our ashram, that light continues to shine. Take that light with you, keep it, bring it into your homes, and let it shine where we are. Chant the deep name, Bhagavān. That is what we should do. Mahārajī gave us many things that we can come and do, and showed us how we can do them. I know we are all here together, and we are all like one. All of us here know that we are very good, the best, and we always see everything. This means when we see our yoga practices from the East, we are all in one. When we come here through our practice, our yoga, we are in unity; we are one. There are two types of people. One is like all of us—not only those who are here, but also those in all other countries. I am always, always... I go to the East. That, please, be very clear. You know, when I came to Europe here, then... it's okay, it's okay. We went to many, many countries, and everywhere we went, I gave them what I was speaking and what I was not. People, they are listening, listening. From, let's say, about 20 people, only three persons truly receive it. Because they are always still inside with thoughts of what to eat, what to do. Many animals, they are very much animals, and they are also like humans. Humans, and that is all. They have their life as it is there. There are so many other animals or something, and we are not eating meat or anything. Our guys, bakris and so on, these people, they don't eat anything, only fruits and this and that. From there also I come, knowing that if we are human, then we should not eat that which I tell you. That’s why when I come to you, I tell you that if we are people, we should not eat what I am talking about; we should be moving towards purity. Because when we are humans, and humans come there, then they say, "No, not others, only humans." Our path is the path of man, and we should behave like that, truly be human. When we are coming here, you know how it is, we are very pure; you are pure people. Maybe some people inside are eating others. They don’t tell me, and I don’t tell them either. I told everybody, I’m telling everything, please, please, please: don’t eat this and that. Now, in the same way, you know, I went for many, many years. You know how many years? But from there, it is best for us. I am here, and you know, in this country here, so you come from how many other houses or somewhere? You know that you come from very far, and we are here. And they all give more and more and more, very pure and good, with this. Always tell our children, "Please, I will not eat meat and this and that." Purity. That is very important. They are going to India. In India, people have also gone, not good. They are eating also everything. But when I go to India and I am coming, then our people, like this, going with me—how pure, completely pure. So, I give you very much of everything that I got from you, and you come very, very good, and you are more pure, equal here, who you are here, all. So whatever we do, maintain purity within ourselves, and give that to your children also. Now, the other is that we are going to India, and there is a very, very big program there. It is for one day, and today, thousands and thousands of people are there. It’s very, very many people. We will be about nine times with them. There will be many things; many people will be singing very well, singing, and this and that. You will be very happy. I have one more, very big, my hotels, āśram. Āśram. Where it tries as much, as much that we have my hotel there with us. And somewhere, other place there. And many people come in, we are singing and this and that. It is very nice, very pure, very good. So I am very happy, and I think I am coming and bringing our ashram there. And you know that our ashram, you know what we have made there. It’s nowhere in the country, nowhere in the world. It’s only our āśram. I was practicing in everything from many, many countries. And so all people there said, "Oh my God, what is that? What is that?" Well, if you can come, you can come. With the children and something, you have to be together with you, with the children. So we will come, and we will be very good, and I will be very, very happy for you. Thank you, thank you. So now, it’s already very long. I came five days. Here, oh, four, three, five, so I came here and we’re here and there and there. So now, it is, now where I’m coming from India, it’s really, it is very, yeah, very much. So it’s good, always. I like it very much, okay? So thank you. Tomorrow morning, we will speak. Where are you going to go now? What are you doing tomorrow? Because we are doing only here or also in other... Yes? Only here. So we are all one. Okay, so you will be very good together, yeah? There are some friends, I know that some of this, and they will be very happy, and we will think, "What is good? How is every practice for you?" We have to be at least three or four people, because who can be in which country, and can they speak this or here or not? If you know that everybody is okay, you are, then it’s very good. But there are many, many people also from other countries. So we tell you all, and then we will see where you are there, and we will tell and we speak. Okay, so thank you very much, my dears, and tomorrow again. Dīpa Nārāyaṇa Bhagavān Kī Jai!
