A Gathering in Devpurī

A spiritual discourse and gathering at an ashram.

"People have come from many different places. The presence of each person is meaningful, and the gathering of two or three people creates a very peaceful atmosphere."

"Gau is the mother. If we see this truth, one day we will bring a garland here. It gives us everything if we wish, yet we often cannot receive it."

A speaker addresses a gathered community, blessing the auspicious gathering and describing the ashram's pure energy. The talk covers devotion, the sacred nature of the cow (Gau Māta), and strong admonitions against consuming eggs, which are linked to causing disease. The speaker shares personal anecdotes, discusses the spiritual power of a mala (prayer beads), and mentions upcoming travel and temple construction.

Oṁ Śāntiḥ Śāntiḥ Śāntiḥ. Today is very auspicious. People have come from many different places. The programs here last the whole day. The presence of each person is meaningful, and the gathering of two or three people creates a very peaceful atmosphere. People often come and say, "My God is here." It is all wonderful. This is our manā, our heartfelt devotion, for Bhagavān. In our āśrama, there are bhajans and mahātmās. A pure energy flows everywhere here. We have created a heavenly place. It is about the One, the Two, the Three. Three is three; it is present. All forms of Bhagavān are here. When the divine presence comes, it is profound, even if only a few feel it deeply. You may not understand the language, but you can feel the moment. Bhagavān Rāma comes, and then his companions. It is very good. People come, animals come—everyone is welcome. It was very nice. Someone spoke about pani (water)—water that is in the middle and above. Next time I come, I will explain more about this. So many people are in the world, and many say many things, but in essence, it is about these three principles. We are inclined to say, "I will be with you, O my Lord." The first among these is Bhagavān as Viṣṇu. Next time, I will share more and give you something. Gau. Do you know the gau (cow)? Gau is the mother. If we see this truth, one day we will bring a mālā (garland) here. We do not have many cows here, only one. But about Gau Māyā—where is everything inside? Sometimes, like this cow, it holds many powers. It gives us everything if we wish, yet we often cannot receive it. Gowdhana (the gift of the cow). When we look inside, we see how much it offers. Our āśrama will receive more of this grace. There is also the power of Bhagavān Hanumānjī. It is very powerful and good. The cow is the real one, appearing many times. I will bring others another time. If you have problems or agitation, the solution can come through the cow. From cows come many, many things. A doctor or someone else might speak of the body, of moods. He told me that if people are treated with the cow's grace, they avoid illness. He would sit and say, "When the mother cow gives mutra (urine), see how I care for it." You might say something like this, but next time I will explain everything very nicely. Those who understand now, understand. Gau Māta—we should never kill them, or this or that. Other animals also give us much. And we humans, what do we do? We eat this and that. We drink water. Where does it go in the body? We are always giving and taking. Even Hanumān, among the people... Please, we should know what we must do. This knowing will grow more and more in our hearts. When I came to India, how many years ago? At that time, people were doing things in a certain way. Later, more understanding came. Something exists in his maṇḍī or vajravā jikathai. It has given something. All this comes from those sources. They have a little Odu, Chota, Chota, Mandar... No, Au, Chota. It is in the animals. You see, they are eating, and there they are greeting the Āḍu. In animals, what happens? Adu happens, right? Now you are in school. They give little children in school ayā. This should not be. Only after should they give the baby, but it should not behave like this. Now you give your children TV, school. Everybody gives their children this. Some are eating like this. Some are taking a little water and eating like this. Now you know, all over the world, children go to school. But before that, in the āśrama, eating one, two things... That gives them something. Then, for a while, something comes into the body. You know how many people have problems now. They will marry or do something like that. Many people all over the world have issues. If you are eating eggs, please do not give them to your children. They say, "No, no, the doctors said, 'Give them more, don't give me that.'" Oh, go. Of course, the doctors will give me money, okay, this and that. When I was here in India, it was like this. At that time, this was not everywhere in India. Here, some person was going in the air. Do you know what is going on here? So, bring the eggs. Only one from outside. Do not give all, because all will become very angry and say this and that. Now it is so much. They give, and everyone has this. Again, I tell you for myself. Now, in school, on school days, or anywhere, all doctors... you will see. I always try to explain, but they do not understand. It is like this: Whose memory? So much my memory moves me, that with this... This one, so it is. Are the animals, after they get, do they get? This is now. So please, please... do not give to your children, or to any person—maybe Buddha, me, or anyone who comes—do not bring it any time and do it like this. Your disease will become very, very quick. It will give you many, many problems. But they say no. The doctors say, "Good, and this." Okay, doctor, I cannot give. But the doctor says, "I'm going to get a tetelago and this." Therefore, in this, so please do not, never, never, never eat any kind of that. Yes. That's it. Many, from little things... So please, from you... you know my language is like this, but can you tell everybody what that is? If it is going with the little animal... yeah. It's like a bird that flies away. Therefore, please, everybody... Look, look... and tell this. Those who know that the disease is like this and that, all will have it like this. When it is all, you took this and no, idiot, this and that, and that, and that. This and that, it becomes a small thing. This means it comes inside the bird. Is the animal from the egg? That is why we do not eat it also? Yeah. So now, if you have something like this in them, please do not eat this thing. Every day, every day, I will bring you this thing, what it means. So, how will you do water? The water, how? Like this, like this... this, and many things. So maybe it will do us good, but everything, the Ājīvika. So this is this. Yes, it is like this. Everyone gets it, it's okay. No. Yesterday when I came, my friends were very nice. Do you know who was here? An old, very old person. After that, he is old. He is with them in their food and work. Now they say, "No, no, he doesn't do that much. He's not like that." But inside him, there is a lot of us. We can try, but when he left, everything inside, no. I want to tell you about one of my friends who was very good with this person. My friends are very good, and Lombard, it was long, and this, but it went into his body. You know, he died of... my, one of my very nice... yeah, but I don't want to say because somebody will say... but all. So this is the end when somebody says, "No, no, okay, I will not eat this and this," but your friends, or this one is going, and they are bringing it, setting it inside. Itnai karke aas toh, main aapko kaunga toh toh, please, every water and this, everything, very much pure karane ke. How to get that water? How to get that water?... It is there, it has become like that. So I tell you, please, don't eat that, this and that, and this. Now it is about money, money, money. Our buses have arrived. They have done very well. So we all—not only me, but I said all, all, all—should... My disciples were many in my life here, and five, five, five children. When one person, a woman, when I was there for the first time, she said, "No, I will not eat anything of this." Then she became like a child, so peaceful, powerful, very, very good. Other children... he is in the fifth generation, yes, the fifth generation. Yes, come here. How many Meena's? Who's who? Yeah, his family. Go, all pure. It is always pure. See how he is under here, he is coming. Very much, and they are very nice. So many of you, of course, you are, no? My doctor came. When the doctor came, I went to him. The doctor said, "Very, very good." The doctor also did this to me. Best, he did it to me first. He is our... Yeah, this, yeah. So my doctor said, "Yeah, yeah, yeah." Very nice, very nice. So, really, really. That time when you and I went to the house, in medicine, he again says. At that time there were not so many people asking, "What to eat?" Many this and that, but now it's like this. Now, many, many people have become very nice. After that, yes, by the Mātājī, Mahāmaṇḍaleśvarjī, yes, yes. So now we shall clean, clean, clean from all, with the water and this and that, anything. Practice in the ashram: morning meditation, break, good, this, then evening. That person will clean. Cleaning, this is a cleaning. Thank you, all the best. Tomorrow I am going to one of the countries. I will be there only five or six days, then I go to the ashram there, and it has become very nice. Do you know how they are making this? This is a mandir. Now it is all with gold, very strong, like this, like this. They are all from pure gold, and they make this all completely. Then, again, yesterday I said, "Oh, very good now." They said, "Now, please don't let down again." They said, "No, no, we go down, very deep." From here to there, so that's how we'll go again. We bring pure, pure gold. Very nice. Nothing. Nothing, and also nothing like this. Now they will again wake up inside, and it's very great. This is that, this is that, something like this. They said everything is for the gold... It means not only the gold or a friend, but like this, yeah. This is that one. There are two many things. I would have made it from here, but this is different. Someone gave it to me; I took it and said it's good. So it has power. Power is, you have many things. You know you should have something—little, very little things. A little, just a little, but pure tree, yeah. You see my mala. See how much is in that, in the māyā. My Mahāprabhujī, my Gurudevjī, when he first came to me... It was in Maharashtra, a very big place. There came a mala. I was little, and there was this. The Mahāmaṇḍaleśvarjī was there, and he gave the mala to Marujī, Mahādwanajī. Mahādwanājī, Bābājī, he told me. Bābājī said, give me this mālā. So I took this mala for so many years. He was about 50 years old when he came here. He is the only one. My father saw the Guru. We met and went to many places. I will never forget this. We went to many places. He is very big. There was a boat. Look at him. But all I give you, one by my mala. So then I have this. I give here, and then she gives it to me here, and then you give it to me here. I give here, and then she gives it to me here, and then yours, to yours. So many people think that, oh, it's beautiful, why this? Of course, that's obvious, but this is not... not like you like this only, why this? No, it is not like this. The power in it will be very, very great. And it's here inside. Yes, so here it's like the warmth. So you should please everybody. You should all, they, everything, have in your hand. You have everybody. You have every facing, yeah, so there. So, a mala is a mala. What is it? But one thing: sometimes you wear it, sometimes you give it as a gift—no, not that. Jab ho gaya, woh aisa, woh hai, ki woh, woh wahan jāyegā, aur woh jo ho jāye, mare mālā ke, merī mālā ke, yeh. So that day when that man died, what will we do with this garland? So this is for the father, his mother, or his mother, or whoever is not there; give it to them in their hands, there and there. And he will take it to his house and go. If not, you can't do it, right? Don't throw it. But some people say, "No, nothing," and faking, and then there are faking, you know, who, who... Mahārāj Jī, Mahārāj Jī... Mahārāj Jī, Mahārāj Jī. It is the power. Good, everybody. So now you are here, and you should clean very well, this and this. This is the power, not only of water, but of this and this. You owe him a pedalo.
