From darkness to light

The Guru is the light that dispels the darkness of ignorance. To bow before the Guru is to accept this illuminating light into the heart. The Guru builds both the stone temple and the inner human temple. The divine energy from the Guru enters through the crown chakra, flows down to awaken the earth element at the base, and causes the Kundalini energy to rise. Consciousness resides at the halfway point of the manipura chakra; the spiritual goal is reached from there. For life to have meaning, the inner sun must rise. The Guru Tattva is the essential force that awakens and develops this inner light. Without it, there is only darkness. As one progresses, this light grows brighter, guiding one to fulfill their dharma and become a true human being.

"Gu is darkness and Ru is light. The Guru is the one who brings the light."

"The Guru Tattva is that strength, that power which helps us develop this light."

I welcome our dear Viśvagurujī. I welcome our dear Vishwagurujī in the name of your kind life and in the name of all of you in Prešov. It has been more than two weeks since we were with Vishwagurujī at the grand opening of Om Ashram in India. Our group from Prešov was there for one and a half months, which was quite a long time. I must say we experienced beautiful times there, and truly spiritual experiences. The service was great. At the end, before we left, we had the opportunity to spend days with Viśvagurujī. We also had the blessing to accompany Vishwagurujī on the way from Delhi back to Europe, to Vienna. We had beautiful satsaṅg in Jaipur and Delhi as well. We had beautiful satsaṅg here too, and I believe we will have beautiful satsaṅg here in Prešov. So I welcome you and welcome Viśwagurujī. Sachi jo jaghe gaya, sojo tari mari beni bache. Tri Jo Najani Le Sabhābhāra tumhāre hāthoṁ meṁ, sabhābhāra tumhāre pādoṁ meṁ, śājīvanakā sabhābhāra tumhāre. Sabhābhāra pitā tumhāre, sabhābhāra pyāra śājīvanakā. SABHĀ, SABHĀ,... OJAKA MERA. Sabhāgūṣa Samarpitāḥ Bhagavad Gītā We had the honor to bow down before our Gurudev. What does this mean? Yesterday we spoke about the Guru being the giver of light. "Gu" is darkness and "Ru" is light. The Guru is the one who brings the light. How does it work? It is written in one book that the light came, but the darkness did not accept it. To come before the Guru, to the feet of the Guru, means the light came and I accepted that light in my heart. We spoke yesterday about the topic that the Guru builds the stone temple as well as the human temple inside us. Similarly, it is within the human body. The dome also has seven layers, seven parts, just as we have seven chakras. And just as the Kalaśa accepts the universal Śiva energy, which awakens the energy of the earth, so too in us, when Gurujī blesses us with His darśan, His light, we receive this light, this energy through our Kalaśa, which is the Sahasrāra Cakra, where Śiva dances. That energy, that blessing, that Guru Tattva flows, drops slowly to our Mūlādhāra Cakra. There it awakens the earth element; that element of earth awakens and Kuṇḍalinī Śakti awakens. Slowly, slowly, it rises up to the Svādhiṣṭhāna and Maṇipūra Cakra. This happens because our consciousness goes into time. And Swāmījī said: when is our consciousness in Mūlādhāra or Maṇipūra? In Maṇipūra. When our consciousness is in the Maṇipūra Cakra, we are all on the halfway point, and the goal is to be reached from this halfway point. Kuṇḍalinī is that light; it is our consciousness. To have meaning in this life, in this world, the light of the sun has to rise in the morning. Similarly, to have meaning in the spiritual life, to see the beauty of that spiritual life, we need to awaken spiritually and must see the light of lights. We need that spiritual development, and we need that raising of the spiritual light. This light comes from Maṇipūra. A guru, Guru Tattva, is the force that helps us to awaken and develop this light. Guru Tattva is that strength, that power which helps us develop this light, this strength. Without this Tattva, we are in darkness. There will be ignorance and darkness. This is the value of the guru: to touch this light. When we move forward, the light in our heart becomes brighter and stronger. Again, it is the guru, whom we receive in our heart, that helps to enlighten this light within our heart. We will become real human beings, and we will fulfill our dharma, the dharma of our life. This is the prasād of the guru: to become human. Swāmījī, thank you for coming among us and for having patience with us. You resolve the darkness within ourselves, within us. Thank you.
