Spiritual Discourse on the Satguru and Brahmajñāna
The discourse reveals the nature of the true satguru and the essence of Brahmajñāna.
The true satguru embodies devotion, knowledge, detachment, virtue, and non-attachment. Such a guru remains free from criticism and praise, joy and sorrow. Equanimity extends to all, beholding friend and foe alike. Brahmajñāna is a rare comprehension, grasped only by one with accumulated merit. The knower of Brahman becomes Brahman itself—immortal, unwavering, self-luminous. The Ātmā is truth, consciousness, bliss, non-duality. The body, as Anātmā, is false, inert, suffering, dual. Yet through this body, liberation becomes possible. The disciple, blinded by ignorance, asks where the divine can be seen. The guru responds that the divine pervades all, but the outward gaze obscures it. The Vedas declare the self’s identity with Brahman, as in "Aham Brahmāsmi." These great utterances authenticate the inner reality. The guru’s role is to reveal that which is already present. Hearing these words, the sincere seeker drinks nectar, dissolving the cycle of eighty-four lakh births. That reality is eternal, the witness in every heart, the all-knower. One who realizes this is freed from bondage. The rare saint leads the seeker to this truth.
"Man re, aisā satguru joī, bhakti yog aur gyān vairāga, śīlavān nirmohī."
"Brahm gyānī to brahm rūp hai, pote avināśī, achal rām."
