Śrī Tulasīdāsa says: "Rāma kathāmandākinī chitrakūṭa chitrachāru / Tulasī subhagāsane bana sīyārā guvāyī / Birbhihāru sīyāvara Rāmachandra gyī." He is narrating the tales of God Rāma. This glory is that beautiful river—pure, clean, and flowing peacefully. When we see clean water, when we see a clean river, what do we all think? Immediately we have the feeling to purify ourselves also. We wish to drink that water and to become clean like it. Thus, the name of God, the glory of God, is that pure, holy river on whose bank you walk your entire life. It saves your life and gives you everything. That beautiful river flows by Chitrakūṭa, where God Rāma lived and where Tulasīdāsajī attained the realization of God Rāma. On the river's bank is the beautiful forest where God Rāma and Sītā walked and lived. Those trees are the luckiest trees. Though they are born here as trees and cannot go anywhere—being bound to one place, where moving would mean death for them—sooner or later, one day, the merciful Lord will come to that tree also. This means you should have solid confidence. You need not move here and there. Remain in your place. He will come. Even the stones were the luckiest ones, where God walked and they were touched by His holy feet. The stones that God walked upon and touched were happy. The glory of God Rāma is the jewel of our thoughts. That jewel decorates the intellect of the saints. Just as some ladies, wishing to become more beautiful, take all ornaments and apply makeup, similarly, the intellect of the saints is adorned. It is the beauty of their intellect; it is the glory of God. When you speak about God, when you speak about wisdom, when you speak about the highest truth, everyone appreciates how beautifully you speak. But if you speak ugly things, no one would like it. Perhaps a few people with the same quality as you will listen for their distractions, and you will speak for your distractions. Therefore, every day you should decorate your intellect with jewelry. These jewels are the pearls, diamonds, and rubies of your intellect in the name of God. See how profoundly Tulasīdāsa is thinking. All the qualities of Śrī Rāma, when you contemplate them, will give you liberation. The name of God is the giver of prosperity, the giver of dharma, and the giver of paramadhāma. Paramadhāma means the immortal place, where you will be happy forever and ever.
