Tri Tapas (from Ramayana)
The protective power of devotion and satsaṅg shields one from life's greatest dangers. The threefold miseries—from other beings, cosmic forces, and one's own body and mind—constantly attack. Yet, those immersed in God-consciousness through prayer and meditation are protected. While some minor karma must be experienced, serious harm is averted. Carelessness, defined as a lack of awareness of God and self, invites disturbance. Satsaṅg is essential; its widespread practice would end all conflict. Bathing in this spiritual lake purifies the heart, causing a river of divine love and God's name to flow forth. This river uproots all sin, washes everything clean, and brings harmony.
"Lucky indeed are they whom God sees with His own eyes—bathing in the lake of spirituality, in the lake of God's name, in the lake of satsaṅg."
"Let in your heart flow the river of God's name. This river will pull out all the roots of the sins."
