The glory and play (līlā) of Lord Rāma is profoundly dynamic, and for many, it is difficult to comprehend. Even the wise can sometimes misinterpret the play of God. This is especially true for those whose vision is narrowed by moha (delusion) and ignorance; they perceive God's actions in a completely different light. Our understanding is inherently partial. Frequent questions arise: How can God allow such suffering? How can God permit devastation through earthquakes? What purpose could God have in a drought? How are we to understand God when vast fires consume humans, creatures, and vegetation? How do we reconcile a benevolent God with the suffering of innocent children from disease? We think these children are blameless—what could they have possibly done? This seems impossible to us. All this we fail to understand. Those who perceive faults in God in this manner fundamentally misunderstand the nature of God and what is not of God. They do not comprehend what karma is. They do not understand what destiny (prārabdha) is. And this destiny is created by the individual soul. Within the life of that child, in that body, there may lie hidden karma from the past, carried over through many, many lives. But we see only from our selfish perspective. We view things through the lens of our own selfish benefit, and thus we cannot understand God. If one truly understands God, all problems are resolved. One would see reality clearly. The core issue is this: we see only the result, not the cause. We perceive only the present situation, not the past circumstances—which refers to past lives—and we cannot see what the future holds. Similarly, it is very difficult to understand God's līlās, or a Master's education and guidance. Often, we think the Master does not love us, that he has forgotten us. This is your thinking; it is not his thinking, nor is it his reality. Therefore, to understand the glories of Bhagavān Rāma, the king of the Raghu-kula, the lord of the Raghu dynasty, is not easy. --- Recording location: Czech Republic, Strilky, Summer seminar
